  1. No. I never said you had to listen to anything I say. And I am butane challenged. There's nothing wrong with my knowledge of vaping. That's a whole different category in and of itself.

Why would you want to rebuild it?

    velvet cloud vapors

It could be that Velvet Cloud Vapors is just not a good fit for you. Juices are so subjective because everyone tastes things in a different way. What tastes great to one person will taste terrible for another. This does not mean a vendor is bad and should not be recommended to others. Now, if they give bad customer service, doesn't deliver the item as advertised, etc. then you can say they're a "bad" vendor. If you don't like their product, that's your opinion and we all have them. As we get off analogs our taste buds begin to heal so the juices we don't like today we might tomorrow. Also, delivery systems will make a huge difference in how a juice tastes. There are some I only use in a tank (like an Anyvape Davide mini), but they taste terrible if I direct drip. Others taste so good in my RDA but taste bland in a tank or direct dripping atomizer. It's all a matter of preference IMO.

    Noob Mod Question!

You are more than welcome! Think of mechs like a flashlight: drop in a batt and light it up. If there's a short... Failure! APVs would be akin to a dimmer switch on ur wall: turn the switch on and turn tge dial to ur prefered light setting. If there's a short... Ur breaker trips in ur breaker box, keeping ur house from burning down.

You just have to remember that it may take some time, but the price is good and you can wait, do it. If you need now, expect to pay a little extra. It's all good either way.

    Noob Mod Question!

I'm not a noob but I'm still learning new things every day! I thought mods were APV and mechanicals. What makes a mod a mod?
    1 point
  12. A Vamo is an APV, NOT a Mod....keep on learning......

  13. Pretty good builds BC! 3 points however. 1st, your coils could be pinched tighter just a bit. Take out the wicks, then pulse burn em till they glow a bit and pinch em with tweezers. Do this till they glow from inside out. 2nd, technically what those 3 are, are RDA's. RBA's are your tank style attys such as genesis and kayfun style attys. 3rd, this thread could have gone in the "hardware specific" under rebuildable atomizer section. No harm though. Looks good. Keep up the good job, be safe, and Happy Vaping!

  14. They look pretty good. Practice makes perfect. Slow down take your time. Make sure to use your ohm meter and stay in the safe parameters of your batteries. Other than that you are on the right track. Are these clones or authentic rdas the only reason i ask is you may consider drilling out your air holes. This will create more vapor and more flavor.

Is The Vamo V5 Any Good?

No, it has a brushed finish. It is not polished.

  20. I have a SID, you would not be happy with it. I loved it at first but after getting the Vamo, it sits on my desk as a backup. If money is not the issue I also would look into the Hana Or Provari.

    Poor mod.

Yeap that is the classic meltdown. I'm glad it was the only the mod that was damaged. I don't think noobs realize the danger until something goes wrong and usually in a bad way. My opinion, this should be a sticky topic...

    Evod coil

*Blushes Thanks Guys! I know I'm not the only game in town and when it comes to hardware, Shop for the best deal... I would. In time I hope to have the buying power they do so I can give better deals. I would also stay away E-Bay for vape gear no matter how cheap. Juice, now that is what sets shops apart. But there again, taste is subjective and people should buy what they like. Not to mention customer service and Yes I can't ignore SV as they do have excellent customer service as does Litecig, they also have good customer service after a sale.

  28. I know it's just a start, but today is 3 days anolog free for me! I can't remember not going through 2 pks a day of analogs. Considering I started vapeing on monday afternoon I'm pretty happy so far. Looking forward to an analog free life!!!!

  29. Fruit/Sweet Smells tend to last for a long yet brief 2 - 5 minutes. Most other juices range about that as well.

  31. I work in a kitchen in a truckstop. I cook 8 hours a day. I am allowed to vape while cooking. We now also sell ego style batteries, protanks, and various juice flavors. I get called out of the kitchen frequently to explain the vape gear or trouble shoot customer problems with the gear. Most issues come back to those stupid ce4 clearomisers.

  32. I started using RBAs after vaping about 3 weeks or so. But, before I started I watched a whole bunch of how to videos and built quite a few of my own coils and tested them, tore them down then built them again. before I even put one on a mod. I definitely understand wanting to move to the RBAs, they give a great vape and flavor, but it's not worth hurting yourself. I would highly recommend getting an ohm meter before u start to make and use your own builds. I know I myself, and I'm sure everyone here, doesn't want to see someone injured or worse. You can find a meter for under $20, IMHO, it's a small price to pay for safety.

  33. Another unknowing noob that doesn't realize he is doing things in a very real and dangerous way both to himself and the movement to keep vaping a positive thing, allowed , and legal. It goes boom and it's all over national news. There is an epidemic lately of noobs wanting to jump right into advanced Mods. This is exactly why most vets recommend against it.

  36. I have a couple of Nimbus clones that do really well. It all depends. My auth rdas have a better quality to them but honestly, I seem to use my clone rdas more. It may just be that I have a different coil setup in each of them. My Patriot is what I use for "Cloud Chasing" and my clones are mostly flavor built coils. My advice, don't get too hung up on clone vs not clone when it comes to rda's and rba's. It's "usually" all in how you build your coils
    1 point
  37. There's a difference between seeing "some" vapor and cloud chasing. Cloud chasing is the deliberate act of building your own coils purposely to blow enormous amounts of vapor.

  38. Thanks for the responses. I just ordered some juice from vapedudes with higher nic level and higher PG...hopefully that works better for me.

  40. Actually, the equipment should be just fine - an eGo 900 mah is around where other people start out as well, although I myself am not fond of the CE tanks, or top coils in general, although you MIGHT upgrade to an eGo twist with variable voltage, but the suggestion on dropping the resistance on your coil head is a good one, at 3.7 volts, you won't be pushing much power through a 2.4 ohm coil. The biggest factors in throat hit are nicotine level and PG%. How much did you smoke per day, and why did you start out at such a low nic level in your juice? The higher your nic level, the harder the throat hit, usually, but it depends on what you can tolerate. Higher PG% will also increase your throat hit.

  41. I'd say it's equipment that's lacking, You have progressed past it. But nothing is cheap on the good side of equipment. First you need a mod, I'd suggest the innokin MVP so you don't need to buy batteries and charger as it's built into the MVP. If you prefer to use replaceable batteries and charger so you can swap charged cells in as needed is suggest SVD or Vamo. The MVP and SVD both come with a I30 tank which some like, but I prefer Kanger ProTanks. Either the PT2,PT3 or PT Aero. You could spend as little as $70 or as much as $150 on the stuff I listed. Why buy all this? Power and quality designed products that came about due to the small cheaper stuff not able to deliver what people wanted. I'd suggest looking for a local vape shot and look at what you may like and works for you. Buying local is almost always more expensive over buying online, but having a local shop to help while your new can be a big help. Once you try the good stuff you will be amazed at the difference! Oh and stick with a 70/30 or 80/20 PG/VG ratio on your juice as suggested above.

    New to Vaping

My sister and her husband got us into vamping. We are all trying to quite smoking. Hubbie and I have tried Chantix, cold turkey, Nicotrol inhaler, etc. Nothing seemed to work, we always found an excuse to got back to smoking. Vaping so far seems o be helping. Almost immediately we cut down our cigarette use by over a half, and no grumpiness involved by either party. Hubby is going a bit overboard with all the different batteries, drip tubs, flavors, etc. But he is a technology geek, and engineer, so this appeals to him. Whatever, as long as it help us quite cigarettes. Joyce

    Cloud chaser,or not?

I have 3 mods and 3 atomizers that give me difference results depending on my mood, where I'll be vaping, as well as, what I'll be doing while I vape. With my 3 mods I have: A Cloud Chaser A Flavor Chaser and a vape in balance with clouds and flavor My mood dictates what type of vape I want to produce Where I'll be vaping asks the question "would a storm cloud be too much for where I am?" Lastly what I'll be doing ask the question "would a lightning cloud be in the way of what I'm currently doing?" If I'm in a crowded public place I do not want to be puffing clouds everywhere and causing too much unwanted attention. Or if I'm driving I don't want to hotbox my car or mistakenly exhale in front of my face to obstruct my view of driving. This is why I have 3 builds to my liking. My Cloud Chaser: Brass Nemesis Clone | 18650 mode | Igo-W w/ clear cap | dual nano dragon coil | cotton wick | 0.4 ohms My Flavor Chaser: Hammer Mod | 18350 mode | Kayfun Lite | single chimney coil | cotton wick | 1.2 ohms My In-between: SS Nemesis Clone | 18490 mode | RSST rba | SS cable | 0.8 ohms
