  1. A good rule of thumb that I use; if it indoors and no one is allowed to smoke cigs, I don't vape. Your first instinct was correct. I always try and think about others around me. We all know that vaping is harmless and produces only water vapor, however we want to raise awareness about what we're doing and being respectful of those around us are first and foremost.

    public vapeing

I only go to a smoking area if I do not think I can get away with vaping inside. I have discreetly vaped about everywhere since I started last April and have yet to have anyone say anything. I will add that I keep a tank of my 24mg for such occasions and if I cannot be discreet I will go to the bathroom. I can appreciate the chance to educate people but I am not smoking so I will not just automatically go into a smoking area. I have vaped in airports, on airplanes, in the mall, grocery, etc... In a restaurant I usually go to the men's room unless in a secluded area. Overall, other than improved health, the ability to vape where I was not allowed to smoke was a close second consideration when I decided to make the switch. If I thought I would have to go outside the same as smoking, I am not sure I would have ever made the switch. I could not disagree more with those that say "If you cannot smoke in a spot you should not vape there either". A theater might be a bit much, but a theater bathroom is not lol.

    Quick question

I just wanted to add this to your post since I already answered in a PM. If anyone whats to tell if 1 juice is thicker than a another you can test it two ways. Best is to use a Hydrometer and test the specific gravity. Or if you have say some 50/50 on hand and your testing to see if one is thicker than the other put a drop of each on a piece of glass. The thicker liquid will take longer to flow out over the glass. This will not tell you exactly but, you would be able to know if one is indeed thicker than the other.

  4. 6 wraps of 32g around a 5/64th bit should yield around a 2.4ohm coil If you did that twice and wanted to run dual coil setup, you'd still yield a nice 1.2 ohm setup. You can still run that on many regulated mods

  6. I like my Vamo 5 great for tanks and on the go. I also like my Magneto recently put a .6 ohm tiger coil in a KPT 2 tank and loving it on the Magneto. I have had no leaking issues or dry hits with the KPT 2 on my rebuilds so I'm very pleased with it. I also have a tiger coil on my IGO W at .6 ohms and that is my 100%vg Drip setup.

They can be rebuilt. Fairly easy from what I see. Most videos I've seen use a single coil around 1.5 to 1.8 ohm. They use cotton for wicking material. Unlike in a rda they make the cotton very tight in the coil. I tried to do it once. Got everything set up and I just didn't like the taste of it with cotton. I've just bought replacement coils. You are right very expensive. Over 3$ per

  11. Carto tanks just plain suck. Good flavor but no life to a carto. Not worth the cost when you can get rdas wick and wire for pennies to the dollar. Lightningvape or lightningvaper or whatever the site you can get 25ft of wire and 5ft of wick shipped for $7.09 with tax. 3 Days for delivery. Can't beat that

  16. Ok. Thanks for the info. I like the MVP i get about 2-3 days on a charge using the iclear 30b. I have the 30s at 2.1 ohms but it floods (gurgles) alot. Got the 30b at 1.8 ohms and not a single flood. Waiting for my vapor shop to get the 1.5 ohm coil in. I use a straight menthol flavor. Thought about looking at the davide or the kanger version of the Nautilus. Thanks for the info.

    Ok

When you wrap coils you may have three wraps of wire and two on the bottom part (3/2).

  19. I like you smoked for a very long time! Tried everything to quit, did have a successful run of a 1 1/2 then started again. Thank the world I found the the e-cig. Started with a disposable from 7 eleven than liked it so much ordered one on line that looked like a real cigarette really got tried of charging and up graded to a ego twist and evod clearomizer now it has been since august without an analog!!! Love the experience and will never go back to smoking! It is really great being smoke free for so long. I don't miss the smell and running outside to smoke! I really hate the smell of smoking. I cannot believe that I smelled that way! What a disgusting habit it was! Welcome to the forum. By the way I feel so much better. Lungs have cleared and my sense of smell and taste have returned. So I have now been analog free for 6 months and really enjoy the experience plus all the money I have in my pocket!

  22. This is my current cloud setup... still has Tiger Coils because flavor is good lol. .9ribbon and 22g round kanthal. Dual 5/64 mini coils on a single wire. She is probably one of the most ugliest coils I have made, but vapes great. This is my all day vape. Triple 1/16 micro Tiger coils. .9ribbon twisted with 24g round kanthal. This is my flavor chucker, but is not anywhere near a slacker in terms of vapor production.

    Chantix Vs. E Cig!

You couldn't pay enough to take this drug and no coupon will sway me to even trying it. I did the Zyban years ago and it made me ill. I have heard enough from friends that have taken this drug to know I don't want it in my body. I expect to see class action law suits over this drug in coming years.

    The honey moon!

I don't regret my days of vaping the cigalike, I got some nice clouds (relative for the day) from dripping a 801. I can say they were not cheap lol there were pricey back then! Prices have come down and quality has grown leaps and bounds in just a few short years. Like Bird Dog we started when Vaping was just getting started. When I signed up to VT there were only about 2.5-3k members and had started one of the first B&Ms with Cigalikes and freshly made USA Juice.

    Dumb question

Yeah, tell her to drop the CE4s!!! When I first started out I used CE4s, because thst is all I had access to and knew about.......until I found online vape shops!! I wasted alot of money on them. She will not regret switching to another tank!!!

  32. Hi all, as a 20+ yr smoker that has gone from off the shelf to RYO a couple years ago, I'm thinking about makeing the switch to vape. I basicaly went from Marlbro lights to a RYO version that is less harsh than that. That said, at least for now, my focus would be on a traditional flavor to mimic what I'm used to. I'd say I typicaly smoke up to 2 pks a day depending.... Currently I spend about $35 per week on RYO stuff. My questions are 1- what "style" of e cig would be a good starting point? 2- Other than the initial cost of the equipment, what's the most cost efficient method? From what I've read the battery life is a big factor for someone that smokes like I do. Look forward to any advice you all can give. Thanks

  33. i bought 1 a little over a week ago, put a RDA on that bad boy and crank up the watts. oh the clouds and flavor are far better than any tank i have ever tried.

  34. April the 23rd will be my one year and I down to 18mg with no real goal of a further drop. If I do it will be a while. I still keep a tank of 24 mg around. My wife who dropped analogs for the vape the same day still is only 24mg with no thoughts of dropping down. Everyone has a different goal. Mine is not to give up nicotine, I rather like it lol. Mine is to give up tobacco and my wife and I have both been tobacco free for 10 months now!

It may be all with good intentions, but the lack of names on the list of top notch suppliers like VapeDudes, Sweet-Vapes, Fuzion Vapers, Mt Baker Vapors (Ok I dont like this one but a lot do) and others held in very high regard I most likely will not pay much attention to their ratings. Just my 2 cents.

  41. being able to use it around my asthmatic 5 year old son without feeling guilty. saving easily $100 a month when compared to cigs (and yes that's including the price of all the hardware, and i have alot lol) being able to run several miles at the gym without hacking a lung up not smelling like an ashtray knowing i'm not putting carcinogens into my body or the air around me actually knowing the $1.00 i spent on air fresheners for my car wasn't a waste not having to roll my window down in the rain while driving to "smoke" not having to stand outside during the middle of winter and freeze my *** off for nicotine think that about sums it up.
