    Diy-How To Basics

DIY Tips and Info I know this is a lot of information, but I hope it helps those looking at trying their hand at DIY. Keep in mind, This is just my own experience. PG- Propylene Glycol : It is a colorless, nearly odorless, clear, viscous liquid with a faintly sweet taste, http://en.wikipedia....ropylene_glycol VG-Vegetable Glycerin(Glycerol): In foods and beverages, glycerol serves as a humectant, solvent and sweetener, and may help preserve foods. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glycerol PG and/or VG are both used as the base of the E-Liquid. PG/VG can be purchased from most E-Liquid suppliers with or without Nicotine. Unflavored PG or VG with Nicotine can be purchased for the purpose of mixing your own liquids and can be purchased is many strengths. PG/VG without Nicotine is necessary for mixing your own liquids. Glycerin can also be purchased from most pharmacies-over the counter. Humco is one brand of Pharmacy Grade (USP) glycerin. It is sold as a skin protectant. It is a clear, slightly thick liquid and has a sweet taste to it. There is also a Food grade VG- Wiltons- sold at Craft stores in the baking sections. Can sometimes be found at Walmart in the craft section. The information will have to be put into a couple posts--The server doesn't like the long version....

    Highbrow Vapor

Bought a few eliquids from Highbrow Vapor (http://highbrowvapor.com) after trying my friend's ridiculously good Creme Brulee liquid (http://highbrowvapor.com/collections/all-products/products/creme-brulee-1) during a wedding weekend. We both started vaping in the past 4 months, primarily stocking up on liquids from Liberty Flights, but she stumbled across Highbrow Vapor and now we don't vape any other liquid!!! The liquid is about $1-$2 pricier than others, but far superior because of the exactitude of the flavors they emulate and richness. I think their dairy-based category vapes might be better than the fruit vapes, but only because the fruit vapes are so exact that you get the ACTUAL flavor without the fake sugar stuff. I am on an Ego-T battery with large boge cartomizers. I bought the following and here are my reviews: Coffee Bavarian Hazelnut http://highbrowvapor.com/collections/all-products/products/coffee-bavarian-hazelnut-cream Delicious, but the coffee flavor is a bit more prevalent than the hazelnut Tiramisu http://highbrowvapor.com/collections/all-products?page=4 This is my favorite liquid EVER. It's spot on tiramisu. Pure Pear http://highbrowvapor.com/collections/all-products/products/pure-pear-1 It's crazy because when you vape this, it's like biting into a pear--it even has the prickly flavor that pears have!!!!! Anyway, I LOVE Highbrow Vapor and I'm only buying the hazelnut/cake/sweets category of liquids from here from now on. The fruit flavors, I think I want more junk food-like flavors and Highbrow Vapor is more purist in their approach, so might get somewhere else.

  4. Yep! But also what Aquatroy said above ^, darker and sweeter juices will burn thru a coil faster. It tends to burn em out and gunk em up a bit faster.

  5. There are so many good quality attys out there! And everyone here has their own favorite or go to device. Vivi Novas are decent too!

  6. Not sure about how the liquid is delivered but is is important that the actual coil is never run dry. FWIW I like the the Apire. It's a bottom, dual coil atty with replaceable coils/heads (about $2 each). There are a few different styles and sizes that use the same head.. That said many report weeks of use on each head. For me though although vapor production remains strong I'll change out in 6-7 days as the flavor seems to get muddy at that point. That puts my cost at about 30¢/day which is fine with me. On a standard eGo battery the 1.8Ω will be a good choice.

  7. Lots of variables..the darker or sweeter the juice the faster the coils go, I have some awesome juice but I only get fours days on a coil...Chain vaping will also age a coil faster so slow down. Don't pay attention to the color of the wicks as much as flavor or vapor output, all wicks change color as they age. You'll recoup your original investment over time, and still cheaper than stinkies!

  8. You might benefit from a tank style system such as a Kanger Protank 2 or the Ayvape Davide Mini.

  9. Sometimes those starter kits have lower quality atomizers. Its possible you could have a bad one. How many times have you changed it out?

  10. What brand of juice are you using? Do you know what the mix is of the PG/VG?

  13. I'm with you, I have just read of some adding stevia extract to their flavors, but I don't know what they are putting in the flavor I don't really want to put it in my lungs.. They say essential oils are a no no.. One the points of getting off cigs is to stop putting chemicals in your body. I eat clean & Paleo. Coffee sounds good, maybe I can make a coffee stevia blend.. Then try mint tea, or other flavors of natural things boiled down strong. I got the glycerin from Walgreens and put an essential oil in it, but now they tell me that the oil is bad.. So time to start over... I have been cutting back on nicotine and want to start using a nicotine free blend that I make my self.. I now need another vapor pipe so I can keep my nicotine fix handy till I Don't need it any more... Already regular cigs are starting to seem nasty to me.. The last time I tried one I threw it away after half.. Yuck. LOL.
