    Nemesis clone not firing

I get that you are frustrated. But you say everything is working fine. The batteries are holding charge, the tank is fine, the charger is fine, all the pins are making contact.... That only leaves one other thing that could be wrong. I'll let you ponder that for a moment...... .you are missing something. You are assuming something is working and its not. Are you using equipment to measure? Can you honestly say you understand the fundamentals of vaping gear? Your problem is simple if you understand your unit. Open your eyes, pollywog. Take a deep breath and figure it out. It's in your hands.

  2. Hi guys... the Tiger Coil is my creation. Rip Trippers gave me full credit for it, but he doesn't do it like me. I twist mine tighter. Rip said he tried both and preferred the looser twist. But he also aims for a higher resistance than myself and wraps on a larger bit. Here's a copy and paste that I posted elsewhere. It includes my thoughts on each variation that I have tried. I am a cloud chaser by nature as it has been a fascination of mine long before vaping even existed. But I am also a flavor junkie. This idea came about because I was always a fan of Tinman coils. The crisp flavor production from ribbon wire is something I'm a huge fan of. But ribbon wire doesn't stack up to round wire when it comes to density and warmth. So I decided to see if I could twist these two wires together while retaining the shape you achieve when twisting a single strand of ribbon. Here's my tutorial... definitely not as high quality as Rip's. Pics of them up close: Original Tiger Coil - .9 ribbon twisted with 28g round kanthal and wrapped on a 5/64 bit. It's a single macro coil and really brings out the undertones of the juices I have tried. Particularly Pluid. Now, I'm not a huge fan of Pluid by itself, but I loved it on this setup. The anise was subdued and I was getting a lot of limeaid type flavor out of it. It was so good that I am now mixing 1/4 Pluid with 3/4 VapeOholic Kryptonite which is a very good limeaid flavor. It is sadly my ADV now. I say sadly because of the cost lol. I need to figure out how to DIY a limeaid with a touch of anise. Tiger Coil v2 - .8 ribbon twisted with 30g kanthal and wrapped on a 1/16 bit. Again, I tested with Pluid. The anise came back, but lime was still very present. Throat hit was bumped way up to the point that 6mg was hitting strong. Tiger Coil v oh forget it... - I went back to the .9 ribbon with 28g so I can wrap it like the v2 to again compare the differences. I hit around the same resistance as well, maybe .2 less. Vapor production was bumped up pretty significantly and again, the anise in Pluid was back in almost full swing. But still that damn good lime was present. But the anise just didn't do it for me at this level of in your face. So I went back to mixing with the limeaid flavor and never looked back. This version stayed in my setup for over 20 tanks until I broke down and tore it apart. Held up like a freaking champ and could have gone longer. Current Tiger coil - .8 ribbon with 28g wrapped on 1/16. Oddly enough, I tried to go higher on the resistance by keeping the same amount of wraps as the .9 ribbon version, but got a slightly less resistance. This is a prime example of why the number of wraps do not matter when trying to determine resistance especially when it comes to twisting. It's the length! Anyway, this is my least favorite variation. Vapor production is the least out of the others. Overall flavor is subdued, but still a clean vape. I've also been dripping my Pluid/Kryptonite mixture to compare to the Tiger coil setups. The flavor is flat out different. I've always said that different coils seem to pull out different notes in various juices. When Rip tried my build, I did not tell him my thoughts on it. His review mirrored my personal thoughts on the flavor production. By the way, if you like throat hit and you are a rebuilder, try this out and let me know your thoughts! Heck, any rebuilder should try and let me know what you think. Hope you enjoyed my dissertation!

  6. It should be, at least, the malic acid - ethyl maltos is used as a sweetener in vaping - it might have actually been cheaper to get a little bit of that and add a few drops?

  7. What equipment are you using?? I agree with others that bumping up mg amount may fix it. But sometimes if you are using entry level equipment, upgrading equipment may help more than up-ing mg's.

    Just for the lulz.

Is it just me, or is "SuchFriendsAreDangerous" purposely idiotic? Nicotine is NOT a carcinogen. Many of the carcinogens in cigarettes aren't actually carcinogenic until they are combusted. And how the hell did he get a "list of ingredients" of certain brands of cigarettes? Anyway, he's blowing bs smoke.

  10. Time out! If your button is getting hot there is a problem with your mod! The button is getting hot because the resistance is to great in the switch. This can cause a runaway battery with catastrophic failure! If your switch is hot your battery is hot! I recommend you no longer use that battery as a safety measure! Take your switch apart, sand the plating off the contacts and check the spring. If you really want to make it shine, sand the top battery contact as well. You can get a hot spring here http://www.avidvaper.com/products/HeliX-hot-spring.html A hot spring is called that due to the fact it should collapse in the event of a short and break the electrical contact to prevent a serious overheat and/or battery IED. Vape safely! Gather as much information as you can before trying to use advanced devices!

FWIW this is the kinda problem that can be easily diagnosed with an inexpensive multimeter. You will be able to determine: If the battery is in fact fully charged If there is actually voltage at the PV's 510 connection when you fire it That the cartos ohms are correct Basically everything Bebop12 said could be checked (not guessed at) in 2 minutes. And it doesn't have to be a fancy meter. http://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-multimeter-98025.html This one is nice for the $ and has a some good features (ships from USA). http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-LCD-Multimeter-XL-830L-Voltmeter-Ammeter-Ohmmeter-OHM-VOLT-Tester-DK-/271352035881?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f2dd77a29

  14. The ones you ordered from Empire Mods are 1 3/4". I have quite a few of those in all different colors but prefer the stainless steel for comfort. The extra long stainless steel that I bought recently, the E style one is 2 1/2", it's very long but I LOVE the mouth piece, it's very narrow and very comfortable once I got used to it.

    New coils?

You don't really have to change your setup if you are happy with it. I have been vaping 3.7 volts for over 4 years and I just recently switched to 2.8 ohms from 3.0.. I also have been vaping Dekang liquids mostly the whole time. Once you find a rig that works for you just enjoy it. I don't think most people give their equipment a fair shake before switching off. I have been able to get a decent vape off of everything from Joye 302/DSE 801,DSE 901,Joye 306 Joye 510 ,Janty Kiss ,several of the rippoff disposables and finally settled on a Viv Nova 2.0 on a cheap box mod . I don;t spend very much, vape a lot and enjoy every minute of it.

  22. That's only one thread on the HH357 that we have here on VT. If you scroll to the top of this page and click on the little magnifying glass next to "Our Store", put in HH357 and several threads will come up. Like Wizard said above, if you're not already a dripper I wouldn't recommend you start with these. Even for experienced drippers there's still a pretty good learning curve. If you're not familiar, you won't know how to troubleshoot if/when you run into hiccups. $21 - $25 (depending on whether you get the regular or custom built ones), that's pretty expensive to start learning on. I'd suggest getting a regular bridged or bridgeless 510 atty to start. If you decide you like to direct drip, then go for the HH357. I drip exclusively on the custom at 2.0 ohms when I'm not driving.

  23. Hi! The link that Spydre gave you is an atomizer that I recommend to new drippers. There are many different styles, types, lengths, ohms, etc. Only you will be able to say which one works best for you. It's mostly trial and error. Kitsune, who helped me immensely when I first started dripping, loves the 306 style of atomizer. These days I'm strictly a Custom HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid in a 510 style at 2.0 ohm but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is new to it. There's a learning curve on these even with experienced drippers and, at $24.99 each, it's an expensive way to figure out if dripping is for you or not. Some people feel like it's too high maintenance and a pain to drip. Others only use it to taste new juices while others, like me, drip exclusively except when we're out and about and can't drip. Friends don't let friends drip and drive...

  24. Same as always Vamo V3 with KPT2 at the moment on Endless Summer but also have a KPT2 atop a Vision Spinner on a lanyard with Unicorn Blood as well. Sort of double fisting lol.
