I think that's why so many people fall for this one, it's because we want it to be true. We want to believe there's someone out there who is so good and virtuous and loving and giving... I like the premise even though it's got plot holes as big as the Grand Canyon.3 points

Well I finally decided to stop waiting and jumped on board!! I won't be looking back that's for sure. Working in a casino for 20+ years makes it next to impossible to quit smoking, but vapor is definitely all ME! I have been reading all of the posts around here like a ravenous dog for tips, hints, suggestions, best ideas, and how to step into vaping the right way and not get a "bad taste" from it. I know so many people who have tried the analog looking ones like BLU or whatever and didn't like it so went right back to big tobacco. On the other hand I decided to go with the eGo C Twist variable voltage and 12 mg nicotine juice to replace the Marlboro Lights I have been smoking forever. So far I have convinced 5 of my friends to really give it a try, and I am 5/5 in converting people from analogs. The benefits of it are so many that I fail to see why big tobacco isn't scared to death (maybe they are). My only deal now is to learn how to change out the coils/wicks (I have yet to attempt) and I should be home free. Two weeks on vapor only & counting. I feel better, can taste better, don't smell like an ashtray, don't have to go outside to smoke in the elements and am confident that it will improve my health . My favorite like from an analog smoker was, "heck no, that stuff has chemicals in it. Too dangerous and risky!" I almost laughed myself to the floor!! So thanks for all the advice & posts that helped me to finally give big tobacco the BOOT!!! Looking forward to posting more & reading more in the years to come.. Gonzo2 points -
I would recommend you start out with a Joye Twist or a Vision Spinner so you can get the hang of variable voltage. Top it of with a Kangar Evod and you'll be good to go.2 points

Seems every day, or every other day at least, someone posts on this site to say just how pleased they are to be quittng smoking and how easy it is with vapn', or how long they've been without stinkies, or any other stories about quitting after a long time and how easy it is/was, and how much better they feel, both physucally and about themselves. I know I sure do feel better since I started using mine .... and so does everybody around me. To bad no one has bothered to either cruise or mention any of the vape sites in any of their studies. Just sayn'1 point

It's a great story I'm pretty sure there's a website somewhere that has debunked snopes and this is all perfectly true. When I was a kid I read a lot of Tom Corbett Space Cadet. It was true then, and it's still true today as far as I'm concerned.1 point

That's okay, it's still a touching story. http://www.snopes.com/glurge/reggie.asp There's the link to Snopes.com that debunks the story. I've been reading so many badly written books lately, at least this one was better written than the drivel of the past three books. :-P1 point

I think you can find a much better APV in the same price range as the EvIc, I own one used it daily for 4 months, lots of cool useless bells and whistles, a fragile control head wrapped in plastic, you don't dare drop one on a hard surface..and overall just a fair output/experience. But it comes with a battery and charging cable so no need to buy a charger or battery, yet, it charges slow, easier to have a charger and extra batts. I nice starter is the MVP 2, VV/VW and integrated battery, lightweight..but after a couple years when the battery stops recharging, it's trashed. I would suggest a VTR , Vamo or SVD for an APV. Wait on the mods till you get more familiar with the basics, and then the APVs. It's a very small curve, so don't get frustrated, just go slow...1 point -
Well I was hoping for someone to chirp in that has tried them, Best part of working in a vape shop is i get 4-5 calls a week, asking if we would be interested in carrying the line...i always say YES, just send it in my nic mg..free juice!!!! I was very interested in the UBE...Taro root flavor, so i received 6 flavors...15ml,12mg nice glass bottles. Good packaging, labels okay...so far I have tried 3.... Don't ...really....save your $ ...much better elsewhere1 point

Most of the ones that come in the kits are junk its always better to get a good charger that has a auto shutoff and other safety features1 point

Welcome. The first piece of advice I'd give you is to read the different threads on this forum, especially the pinned threads. All the information you asked for is in there. If you're just starting out I wouldn't recommend a mod for you. Start simple, learn how things work, what works for you, what doesn't, take baby steps. We've had a couple of new vapers lately who bought mods to start and regretted the purchase. I would recommend going with something like an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner, they're both variable voltage batteries. Pick up a Kangor Pro Tank 2 or Pro Tank mini or an Anyvape Davide or Davide mini to start. These all use the same Pro Tank coils. Figure out what ohm coil works best with what voltage, what ratio of PG/VG works best for you as well as the optimum nicotine level. There's a lot to learn on the basics, the terms, the equipment, etc. Learn to walk before trying to fly the jet.1 point

Great Video with one minor exception. It's the number of chemicals added to tobacco to make cigarettes. I am an American living in the Philippines.... I have been vaping for 1 1/2 years. I had a 2 pack a day habit. I am a retired electronics engineer, 68 years old and have a lot of time on my hands. I have done much research on the pro's and con's of vaping. I have read much research done by so called scientists that have no idea what vaping is all about. They have no idea about the equipment or the liquid that is used. The statement that really makes me angry is "They haven't been proven safe". Dah.......Cigarettes ARE proven killers and they still sell them. There are 10000 to 1000000 chemicals in cigarettes. 4000+ of these are know toxins, 70+ of these are know to cause cancer. The only thing E Cigaretted and analog Cigarettes have in common is nicotine. Yes if believe there should be some sort of regulation. There should be regulation with E-Liquid because that is what has the nicotine in it. Then they argue about the nicotine health risks. Yes it does and that is one of the reasons people use this to quick smoking. "They" say there is not evidence that vaping helps you quick smoking. All they have to do is to read the many vaper forums and they can get an idea of how many people have quit smoking because of E Cigarettes. The 2009 FDA study showed that E Liquid contained poison(1 sample of 16 contained diethylene glycol). Maybe it did but many tests since then have found no toxins. They should do another study now because these issues have been addressed by the companies that produce E liquid. Another thing that angers me is that with all of the talk that children will stand a greater chance of being exposed to nicotine because of all the different flavors. Not one of the anti E Cigarettes groups or organizations has mentioned anything about the tobacco companies latest product at getting people hooked on nicotine. They are little “flavored cigars”. They are made of tobacco. They have all the chemicals and toxins that regular cigarettes have. Their marketing is directed towards teenagers. Nicotine is a stimulant and found in eggplant, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers. tea etc........ Nicotine is being researched as a means of fighting off Parkinson's decease. the PG and VG are in most of the foods we ingest everyday. PG is used in many medical applications and in the ventilation system in many hospitals and clinics to decrease the spread of infection. PG is a germacide........ but PG is in antifreeze and that's poison. PG is in antifreeze, the toxic kind and the non-toxic kind.......The puffers used by people with lung disorders contain Pg. Ice cream contains both PG and VG, and on and on.... I have much much more information on the plus side than the negative side. This fact leads me to believe that the people and government agencies against E-Cigarettes are either just plain ignorant or in the tobacco companies pocket. What I am sure of is that vaping saved my life and I feel better than I have in years.1 point
