Got my Ecig kit yesterday

Alot of us have started with those cigalike type devices, they did help me get started. Most of us figure out along the way that going with a refillable tank style device offers a huge improvement in options for flavor, throat hit, nicotine level, etc... Read around in some of the threads on the forum here, there's alot of information here for you. Good luck with your attempt to quit smoking and welcome to the forum.2 points -

Ejuice & Nicotine
ryanmcgarth02 and one other reacted to Bebop for a topic
This is the only place where 18 + 12 = 15, lol The nicotine content is by volume, so mixing doesn't compound it. 1 ml of 18 plus 1 ml of 12 = 2 ml of 15 And nicotine adds a lot of bitter flavor. The testers are usually at 6mg of nic or less so more flavor comes through2 points -
Methinks I'd be burn'n my printer up printing every real study to the contrary I could find and march my butt into the principal's office and paper her/his desk.2 points

Let's start with some background. Been smoking for 20 years around 20 cigarettes a day. Over the past year I have tried various e cigarettes, more as an aid to reduce smoking rather than quit. In my opinion e cigarettes are **** and never moved to vaping as after trying 5 or 6 e cigs I thought they were all a waste of money. Okay back to the present day! A couple of weeks ago a friend had an evod on the golf course, my curiosity got the better of me and I asked a few questions and in summary he was very happy with it. A week later and trawling through a few vaping sites I thought, well nothing to lose May as well give this vaping thing a go. Took the plunge on a ego t series vaping thingy, then a bit of looking around later I ordered some liquid. The results. Wow, must admit my expectations were low but the vaping is excellent. Is it like smoking a ciggy, in my opinion the act is the same, but the liquids I have tried so far are not really any where near the taste of a cigarette. But, and a big buttttttt, I love the different flavours and mixing them up already spent quite a few quid (sorry all the USA peeps reading this but I'm uk based) on different flavours, to try out different combinations. Loving the artic cherry mixed with temptation and hedges at the minute. I got the vaping thingy with no view to actually quitting the ciggys but have not had a smoke since the ego was charged, also cannot see me reaching for the lighter again, and yes I do have a few packs of ciggys lying around. What would I change. Only thing I would change at the minute is would have liked to get a variable voltage battery, but that by no way means I am unhappy with the model I have, just that I am so surprised by how good the vaping is that I know I will have to start experimenting very soon. Sorry for the long post but if you are like I was and not sure about vaping, I would strongly advise you to give it a go, my whole set up has cost less then £25, then went a little crazy on about a years supply of liquid! £25 not a lot considering the saving from no more cigarettes. Good luck1 point

Seems every day, or every other day at least, someone posts on this site to say just how pleased they are to be quittng smoking and how easy it is with vapn', or how long they've been without stinkies, or any other stories about quitting after a long time and how easy it is/was, and how much better they feel, both physucally and about themselves. I know I sure do feel better since I started using mine .... and so does everybody around me. To bad no one has bothered to either cruise or mention any of the vape sites in any of their studies. I would think chapped lips are a result of your vaping technique rather than from vaping, itself. And the cold, dry weather. If you're like most here and find vaping more enjoyable than smoking, you're probably licking your lips more often than normal every time you vape. Keep something like a Chap-Stik handy and enjoy being off cigs while waiting for mo betta weather. And, yes, it'll go away.1 point

Don't know about the Greensmokes brand, but will say anything to help leave the tobacco ones behind is going to be better for you. In time, I wouldn't be surprisd to hear you've switched to one of the entry-level battery and tank systems. You'll find many more choices available as to taste/flavors, probably less costly and more convenient than searching out and buying a certain prefilled carto, and, provided you have someone in your area capable, you can have your flavors custom tailored to your taste/hit/nic level preferences. As to switching being a big problem, all you have to do is figure out for yourself which is better for you. Since you've decided to try "the other side", I assume you've already figured it out. Now all you need do is stick with it. I smoked a pack+ for 50 + years. Got my first e-cig, put down the stinkies the same day and haven't looked back for over 8 months. If I can do it, you can too. Tell yourself you're setting a good example for everyone else. Afterall, "monkey see, monkey do" works both ways. Who knows, you just might convert some of those around you. Plus, I'm sure your CO would be happy about less cig butts laying around. Police Call was always a pain. Oh yeah, welcome to VT. Plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks here to offer support and advice.1 point

Hi! The link that Spydre gave you is an atomizer that I recommend to new drippers. There are many different styles, types, lengths, ohms, etc. Only you will be able to say which one works best for you. It's mostly trial and error. Kitsune, who helped me immensely when I first started dripping, loves the 306 style of atomizer. These days I'm strictly a Custom HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid in a 510 style at 2.0 ohm but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is new to it. There's a learning curve on these even with experienced drippers and, at $24.99 each, it's an expensive way to figure out if dripping is for you or not. Some people feel like it's too high maintenance and a pain to drip. Others only use it to taste new juices while others, like me, drip exclusively except when we're out and about and can't drip. Friends don't let friends drip and drive...1 point

How to make a blah juice taste better?
Patricia reacted to Compenstine for a topic
Pat, this I just made may help you some. The only thing that will help the flavor is more flavoring. I have no Idea what flavorings they use in that juice to be able to guide you in what to use. Adding NIC will up the throat hit but be careful not to add to much or it will make you NIC sick. The calculator I posted in that other thread will help you with that.1 point -
SVD has three buttons, two for adjustment, and a fire button....the more I think on it, a VTR might be the choice for you, adjustments are easy, one button and a dial, and a fire button.....easy to adjust, large led screen, and after I got used to it, changing tanks is easy and fast. Due to the socket that you place the tank in, you don't really need to tighten it down, and easy to "spin" in and out... Your issue will be the weight. It's nearly a full pound with a tank attached, almost like three MVPs.1 point

Batteries and charger
Aquatroy reacted to VaporDragon77 for a topic
I just ordered a Nitecore I4 Intellicharger from a vendor on ebay, before anyone screams "Ebay?!!!!!" The seller is rated 100% with 0 neutral or negative feedback in a year and has sold 8066 items to date. I think im safe. Phil Busardo swears by this charger. And i know Nick and Amber own a couple as well. And its new in the box.1 point
