Chris said that he had his hands full doing things and to remind him about it after the holidays -- I'm thinking sometime in January. That Compenstine's posts can be liked is an early happy coincidence. Now, go sit in the corner over there and try to be patient.3 points

I just got finished wrapping a 1.3Ω coil (5/4 wrap of 29g Kanthal around a 3.5mm silica wick), stuck it in my Tatroe Tank (glorified KPT), and screwed it on a mech mod. It is a beast! I don't know why I didn't try this before, unless I was just hung up on the 8 watt "limit" I'd always heard about. 13½ watts on a fresh battery provides some very intense flavor, vapor, & throat hit, but I'm pretty sure it's going to go through juice like nobody's business!2 points

I think it is over rated. I just like the flavor and the process. Good enough for me.2 points

Hard Hitting Tanks!
cpeters1965 and one other reacted to Rixter for a topic
I haven't tried this yet, but I don't know why a 1Ω coil in a KPT on a mech mod wouldn't perform like a 1Ω coil on an RBA/RDA. That would definitely put your KPTs smack in the middle of the "Hard Hitting Tanks" category. I use the same Kanthal resistance wire on my Gennies and RDAs as I do in my KPT coils, so the KPT coil shouldn't be any more likely to pop from high wattage. I'm gonna roll a 1Ω KPT coil and see how it does...I'll get back to you. Considering my current 15+ watt RBA builds, I'm beginning to think that the 8 watt ceiling is just a myth.2 points -
Fast Tech
kerk and one other reacted to Compenstine for a topic
It's not about not supporting American Venders. I can show receipts of how I have spent over 5-8 times as much with American venders than I have with the 3 orders I have received from fast tech. It is about saving some money on things that I have no problem waiting for. Some of which can't be bought from American vendors. My IGOs were, yes, bought from fast tech saving $50 over getting then from an American Vendor. That's not just a couple bucks. When I volume buy, I will compare prices just like any American Vendor does. If I want it yesterday and I need it that bad, I will be the first one to hit Sweet Vapes, LiteEcig, ..etc2 points -
It will shorten the life or even pop it if you dry burn at too high a voltage. I always did dry burns with a standard non-twist eGo. They dip to 3.2 volts when you fire a coil. I would dry burn a couple seconds at a time until the coil windings glowed a clean red.1 point

I was thinking to loosen the corrosion prior to soaking...but I just soak at this point, and almost ready to just pitch em, can't keep track the ones I have reused vs only once...1 point

Car buying or Car Business Questions
spydre reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
As someone who has run Auto Dealerships for near 20 years I would like to just throw it out there that if you have any questions or have been wondering anything about how the business works, I will give you a honest answer you will most likely not get elsewhere. Just tossing that out there if anyone is shopping for a car or anything, I can help save you money lol. This would especially apply to GM models since I have access to every invoice of every new GM vehicle in the US.1 point -
Put in an order with Nicoticket: another 50ml of Creme Brûlée, 30ml of Snicker-doodle, and 30ml of Frenilla. That will be my Xmas gift to myself.1 point

Nicotine Poisening
iheartvape reacted to NeuroDoc for a topic
I don't know what a Ph.D. was doing seeing patients, but they certainly weren't wrong. You probably saw an MD (Medical Doctor) rather than a Ph.D. You did have gastroenteritis. What caused that gastroenteritis is anyone's guess. However, if you did not tell the doctor that you had been sucking on poison in recent days, they have no way of knowing that you have "nicotine poisoning." Still, you likely did not have nicotine poisoning because that condition is an acute condition in which the symptoms typically subside and the patient stabilize in ~4 hours. If you had nicotine poisoning, you would have been experiencing ataxia, tachycardia, hypertension, etc., all of which the worst medical doctor in Ethiopia would have caught. People, when you go see a doctor, you are not just seeing that doctor so that s/he can assess your symptoms with some magical algorithm - you are seeking objectivity, experience and judgement. When you go to WebMD and start typing in symptoms, you are in no position to assess your condition properly. Get off of WebMD, go to iTunesU, and watch some biology lectures. An understanding of science should start there.1 point -
Fadora Vapor E-Juice
Vispera reacted to Compenstine for a topic
I would have to look into that for you. I know there are a lot of restrictions I need to brush up on before I can do sales over seas. Like if a Juice contains alcohol it can't be shipped that sort of thing. I know other places do, so I'm sure it will be possible in time. I just want to make sure my butt is covered. I'm right now setting up for doing some pre opening sales of 5ml and 10ml sizes only. I hope to have it up tonight. I will post more info in the proper place this is not the area to post that in. It was the main reason I had jeffb set me up as a vendor so I could start selling without jeopardizing my VT account.1 point -
Fast Tech
wizard46304 reacted to Rixter for a topic
I've ordered hundreds of dollars worth of vaping gear from FastTech, and have been completely satisfied with everything I've gotten so far. They promptly replaced one mod I received from them that had a threading issue...didn't even ask me to return the defective mod. Just make sure to place your battery or e-liquid order separately from the rest of your gear so you won't have any problems with customs holding up your entire order. Shipping is free so it won't cost any more to split up your orders.1 point -

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
VaporDragon77 reacted to Rixter for a topic
Yeah...that's the box the IGO-L came in, along with a bag of spare parts, mesh, & wire. The Magneto is in its shortest form factor (18350) in the picture, so I guess as a point of reference, it makes the IGO-L box appear larger.1 point -

Please explain how LR drains a battery faster?
cpeters1965 reacted to VaporDragon77 for a topic
On a VV/VW unit you CAN increase battery life with LR coils. As you can set the voltage lower to achieve the same plumes. However most people dont think to lower the voltage, they use a lower resistance with the same voltage to achieve a better vape. The your coil wire can be thought of as a hallway that a mass of people(electrons) are passing through. The tighter the hallway the less traffic and the longer the room at the end stays full. Now imagine all those people running down the hallway... this is an increase in voltage. Room empties quicker... if they all walk very slowely a decrease in voltage, the room(battery) stays full longer. If we widen that hallway we tighten that hallway we have more resistance if we widen the hallway we reduce the resistance. Hope my analogy helps.1 point -
I've seen them on the kanger website before but I only saw packs of 100 for $10.00 Edit: found these too 5 for $1.00 http://www.sun-vapers.com/buy/o-rings-for-rdas-and-protanks-5-pieces/ Hope that's what you're looking for.1 point

Frustrated with my iTaste 134
Rixter reacted to Joshuab3687 for a topic
Toot, Keep your head up. We all had to start somewhere, sometime. I'm super new at vaping and like you, have watched a lot of youtube vaping by people that make it all look easy. Start out easy and work your way up. I just advanced into an iTaste mvp using a kanger protank2 with 2.5 ohm coil. Vaping on Zombie Blood by Goodlifevapor at 7.5watts and loving life! I started out with ce5 clearomizers about 3-4 weeks ago. Stay strong and good luck!1 point -
Personally, I prefer a manual transmission because I get so much more control of the vehicle that way. Unfortunately, I just can't push on a clutch for very long after I broke the arch in my left foot. On cold days it's just too painful.1 point

Holy Boba Markup, Batman!

Spy, I don't get it, just go online and buy it, why worry it out? Let the little b&m makes his 1.00 cuz he's trying to bring boutique type juices in. CuZ he's trying to make folks happy. In Denver a make yer own juice stores sells 4-5$ a 10ml... Third party juice AEMSA certified goes 8.99/10ml to make that work is hard... The difference is unparalleled customer service, and a place to go when you can't figure it out, or it leaks, or you can't figure why it don't charge ...or I just can't figure out why it doesn't taste good... Give the guy a break, it's there when you want it, and not paying for shipping. Comparing Brick and Mortars to buying from the source is unfair. Should feel lucky you know the difference, but NOT fair to ***** about it1 point -
Chemical splash
spydre reacted to HelloMiakoda for a topic
Understatement of the year! I could feel it disolving my skin! Once it started eating in, it was hard to wash it out! I didn't give a crap my roommate saw me topless. I would have tossed that shirt no matter who was there! I couldn't get the acid off fast enough!1 point -
Chemical splash
spydre reacted to HelloMiakoda for a topic
I had my ego on my lanyard (forgot to take it off) and had an accident with acid based clog disolver. I have chemical burns to my face (including my eye lid), shoulders, neck, chest, ear, and arm. It actually ate through my shirt and bra to burn my chest. It also ****** up my hair. I guess it was mixed a little too strong. Thank Goddess the burns are relatively minor. The burn on my face was bad enough that it's an open wound though. This could have been much worse! I just dove for the closest non-contaminated water, starting with my eyes. Contact was short, this should heal without scarring - except maybe the little bit near my eye. I am thankful my eyes and vision are ok. Hurts like a son of ***** though! So the ego sat, with acid on it, the whole time my injuries were being tended to. When I got back to it, I cleaned it, chucked the cartridge that was on it (not taking chances with the part that has the stuff I'm vaping!), and not a mark on it! The lanyard's chrome part has some pitting, but the ego itself is perfectly fine.1 point -
RDA
WillBlack reacted to Compenstine for a topic
What I see in the pic is your wick is to small for the coil causing it not to get the fluid it needs, Basically dry hitting. Looks as if your coil is 3 to 31/2 mm with your 2mm wick. If you were to hit the fire button with the cap off so you can see the coil, I bet it would glow red. This would cause a very hot harsh hit. Also looks like the center post has a leg from the coil sticking out into the wicking on the other side of the coil. This could cause a short.1 point -

Fast Tech has authentic KPT coil heads for $5.85 a 5 pk 1.5 ohm, 1.8 ohm, 2.5 ohm versions. With practice coils are easy to make. Check out the in the General e Cig Discussion it will help you a lot. It is simple and easy to follow. I have bought the KPT coils from Fast Tech they are the originals. I have yet to use any, haven't need to, but yeah they are Originals.1 point
