  1. "Switching from cigarettes to vaping may have added not years, but decades to your life." -My Cardiologist as he discontinued my blood pressure medicine I also can taste food, smell things (especially how nasty I used to smell it is amazing I have been able to succeed at my chosen profession stinking so badly), and no longer require sinus or anxiety medicine that I always took daily before. Keep it simple by buying a couple Vision Spinner 1300mah VV batteries and 2 Kanger Pro Tanks and a few coils. All you have to do is charge the batteries and fill the tank, change the coil as needed. Really low maintenance and probably less time consuming than all the trips to the store for a pack-carton whatever.

  2. All of the above.... .... and, you being a 2 1/2 packer a day smoker I would prob recommend 18mg or 24mg ejuice (nicotine strength). You are a chain smoker and nicotine levels and enjoyment of the juice flavor will be key in your success.

  3. Hi Brenda. Welcome to Vapor Talk! You've come to the right place to ask questions. More than likely you'll get more answers than you thought you wanted. Vaping is a very personal thing. What's right and "perfect" for one person will be the worst for another. Only you will be able to judge what's "best" for you. A lot of it is trial and error, but that's also half the fun. From what you wrote about the ENCORE e-cig, it's not a good one. You have to wait for the coils to cool down after four draws? Um...no. If all e-cigs were like that I'd still be smoking. When I get going on one and have the time I can chain vape for an hour or more before getting the feeling that I've gotten too much nicotine and have to stop for a bit. My set-up would still go as long as it's got a charge -- and that's what it should do. I've been vaping for a little over a year and a half now so my arsenal has grown to embarrassing proportions (for me). My go-to would be the Vision Spinner variable voltage battery. It's a great beginner's one, in my opinion, because it's easy, has just enough bells and whistles so you can customize it a bit and can grow into it, is a workhorse and should last you for a good long time. I would get two for each person so one can be used while the other is charging. Always have back ups. And back ups of back ups so you don't have to go without should something happen. With the Spinner, get a charger and add a wall adapter for it. Never charge using the USB port on a laptop or computer for safety reasons. You get added protection with the wall adapter. Add a Kanger Pro Tank mini or an Anyvape Davide mini to put on your battery and at least one 5-pack of extra coils in whatever ohm level you prefer (my preference is the 1.8 - 2.2 ohm) and you'll be set once you get your juices. I'm sure others will be along soon to give you their recommendations. Good luck!

  4. Now you're changing the argument. If we insert a person's vaping habits into the equation then all bets are off. But the fact still remains. All things being equal, a LR atty will drain a battery faster than a SR atty. This is not my opinion, this Ohms law, not Ohms opinion.

  5. With this lower resistance, more electrical current can flow through the device and in essence will drain the battery faster than a standard resistance atty. The lower the resistance of an atty the higher the wattage output. look at Ohms law: With a 1.5 ohm atty at 3.7 volts the wattage output is 9.12 watts With a 2.5 ohm atty at 3.7 volts the wattage output is 5.47 watts

    Been smoking for 50 years

I bought a starter kit (eGo 1300mAh Variable Voltage EVOD and CE4 Kit II) after consulting with Brian at Veteran Vapor. He is very helpful and has answered all my extremely naive questions very patiently. I will continue to buy what I can from this seller. the kit seems to work very well except the juice seemed to make me cough. Brian reccomended a higher VG juice and that seemed to solve the problem.Thank you all for your help, as well- Paul

  7. I'm fairly sure the quality of the bread tie wire isn't what you want to vape with..wouldn't surprise me if here was some lead in there to keep them flexible..or even aluminum. So go ahead, we will just watch..from a distance...

  8. Resolutions.... Nope don't do them either. Learned a log time ago that it only caused me more stress. LOL

  9. No. No. No, Jeff! More resistance means the battery is drained slower.

    Dripping attys and menthol?

You might try washing the atty in warm water. Blow gently from the battery connection end to get the water and residual juice out, it should flow semi-freely. Rinse again, blow again, place into vodka for several hours, rinse, blow, push a small piece of paper towel in and wait a few minutes to let the paper towel time to blot the remaining water out (tissue tends to come apart when wet so you probably don't want to use that). Then, put it on your battery. Dry burn in short two to three second bursts only. If you put too much time into each dry burn you might burn out your coil. You may see some vapor/smoke coming out. When you can see the coils heating up/turn red, stop. Add six drops of juice, let it soak in, take an unpowered draw. If it gurgles just a little you can vape normally. If it doesn't, add another drop or two. By doing this, you may be able to get the taste out of you atty. It's also possible you may wind up burning the atty out so be careful and be aware that this is a possibility before trying the above.

    OK PLEASE HELP!

Not sure about this. I have started literally over a dozen people that are now Vaping exclusively and every one of them wanted to suck on the thing like one would a joint (sorry mods, had to use the reference) as opposed to an analog. Once they started taking proper draws the coughing and such subsided. Take a slow steady draw into your mouth, inhale it then quickly exhale it. I have yet to know anyone that had a problem when doing it this way. Just draw on it the same as you did an analog and you should be fine. Yes there are some withdrawal symptoms from all the lethal chemicals that arent nicotine and you may have some heartburn issues if you do not properly hydrate.

    Need some encouragement

You picked a good kit from veteran vape. Just stick with it and take your time and you'll make it. You will notice changes over time. Some of those changes may not feel good at first, like more coughing and anxiety over not having cigarettes. Just hang in there and it will get better. Remember to keep hydrated. You will be detoxing from analogs so just ride it out, eat well, take your vitamins. You'll make it.

  16. Less resistance means the battery is drained faster.

  19. Just ordered 5 more KPT 2 bases. I have lately developed a bad habit of having my Vamo sitting on my lap and forgetting that when I stand up and it hits the floor on its side. No damage to the Vamo but I keep bending the 510 connection where it wobbles when I screw it on and it sits off center when attached. Those things bend so easily almost makes me think they are made of lead lol.
