I just bought some 3 ohm coils for my Evod. Once I get them I want to change them to 2 ohm heads. How do I do this?1 point
-
Okay, I did everything you said. Would this be a 3 home coil? I've got it hooked up to 7 car batteries and I'm going to stuff it with some insulation I found in the garage. Will that work ok?1 point

Somewhere around .16, It's what is known as a Micro Coil. But your not at that point yet. It is a more advanced spinning process.1 point -

Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Truper-30930-10-Pound-Fiberglass-36-Inch/dp/B000KL0X24/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1386040710&sr=8-5&keywords=sledge+hammer This will work even better as it has a rubber grip, better insulation so you don't get shocked.1 point

OK Im looking on Amazon and there are different weights of aluminum batts. Which one would provide the 2 ohm ( I dont know the resistance) I want?1 point
-
First, you get the biggest aluminum bat you can lay your hands on. Wood is no good because it leaves splinters. Aluminum doesn't conduct electricity all that well so it's a better instrument to use. Lay your coil on a hard surface, concrete is the preferred for most advanced users. Now, carefully beat the holy living $%&#!!! out of the coil. Once it's in teeny tiny pieces, sweep the pieces together, place into an ohm meter and check it. If it's not at the resistance you want, lather, rinse, repeat until you get the result you desire.1 point

Rebuilding Atomizer problems need advice on a shortcut

Don't buy batteries from Fast Tech, It will delay your order and may get sent back to Fast Tech. I find the coils you mention to be sub par. If your having trouble with building coils just buy the KPT replacement heads they are cheap. They are much better than wick and wire ones you mentioned. I get those with the rebuildables I have and they are just junk. There are some of us that just have to do it for the sake of the experience. Most people yes should just grab and vape. I grew up wanting to see how something works, recreate it, rebuild it. For me it is more than just a hobby it is relaxing and satisfying. Without DIY we wouldn't be Vaping at all. It is getting in a creating something that didn't exist before or making it better. Most Juice makers started by doing DIY. Don't sell the DIYers short. And yes I was one that looked into growing my own tobacco, I just found that it wasn't my cup-o-tea and bought Camels. People just need to know their limits and stop when they get in over their head.1 point -
I've left you a good tip on your other thread.1 point

Since I'm fairly new to rebuilding coils some of the other more experienced members would give you a more accurate answer. For me, that's when I would tell you that an ohm meter/checker would come in handy so you can test your coil to see what ohm you have it wrapped at.1 point -

These: http://www.litecigusa.net/510_901_808d_Stainless_Steel_Stem_Drip_Tip_p/ss-9-5-stem-driptip.htm I love the ones I got fro Empire Mods, they're also stainless steel, but the O-rings on those are a bit thicker and fit too snug. The ones I gave the link to fit snug but are much easier to take out of the atty to drip more juice.1 point

And this is reason #578 why I love my extra long drip tips. I rarely have that problem when I use these versus the regular sized drip tips.1 point
