  1. A Noobie's Guide to Batteries While in the chat room one night, someone was asking if there was a guide for batteries. He was hearing all these battery numbers in the conversation, and not familiar enough to follow along. I decided to write this guide to help familiarize the noobs to all the batteries we use for mods. All of the batteries we use are either 3.7volts or 3.0volts. There is however a 5volt battery used in the Mako Maksi, but it's not one of the popular batteries you frequently hear about, so I'll just concentrate this discussion on the 3 and 3.7volt varieties. The 3.0volt batteries are primarily used in pairs for a total of 6.0volts for 6volt vaping, and single battery mods are 3.7volts. The 3.7volt batteries are usually only paired if the mod has a voltage regulator (adjustable or fixed) for consistency in voltage throughout battery life and load conditions. Now that you have a little background on how the batteries are used, let's try to make sense out of the numbering system. The first 2 digits of the battery number indicate the dimension measuring across the battery. So a 10440 measures 10mm across, a 14500 measures 14mm across, and so forth, and the last 3 digits make reference to the length. For example the last 3 digits in a 14500 battery would suggest that the length would be 50.0mm long, but that would be for the unprotected version of the battery. The overcharge/overdischarge protection circuit will add between 2 and 3 mm to the length of the battery, so a 14500 is really 52.5mm long. Aside from the physical size of the battery, there is something referred to as mah (milliamp hour) rating. This is a capacity rating of the battery, and indicates the amount of energy the battery can store. In other words, how long it will last between charges (more mah, more charge life). Physical size will affect mah ratings, and therefore smaller size batteries will typically have lower mah ratings. Some batteries are available in more than 1 mah rating. Below is a listing of the more commonly used batteries in e-cigarette mods. **This is not meant to be a complete list, so please don't shoot me of you know of a battery I didn't list.**

  2. Sluggish and headaches usually is an indication that you nic level, 12mg, is probably too high for you. You might want to try lowering your nicotine level. You might even want to try 0mg. It just may be the hand to mouth motion that you are missing. As for the disposables, they sit on the shelf for awhile and are exposed to heat and light. That alone can diminish the level of nicotine in them.

They have $16.00 on theirs, I booked marked it. I would say in the up coming days more and more sites will have them in. I'll just keep an eye out for a site that has some in stock for a decent price. It pays to click on the link twice, just nabbed the last one they had in stock, or it would only limited me to only 1... either way 1 is on the way. Whooot!

  7. Gefficart: followed! nice stuff Worked in architecture for 7-8 years, now an estimator for a demo company. Manage to fit in some rendering stuff on the side, and play architect for various production companies around new york. Recent work includes a Samsung show room, British Airways event, and Target's 50th anniversary; at which Alicia Keys sung one song and p***ed everyone off by leaving early. Ah well. Not my cuppa tea anyway. Long story short if you need renderings of something (mod idea for example) let me know, no charge… just 51% of the company shares. Cheers

  8. I can understand that and yes that would make sense. This is why I was asking. If someone is allergic to PG having it in the flavoring would/could trigger a reaction. Makes me wonder about other claims of 100% VG if they are doing the same or just using, as Jeffb mentioned, 100%VG base only. I'm just the opposite of Ben, I have to watch the VG content in what I Vape do to being type 2 diabetic, VG ups my blood sugar level. Pg does as well, but not as much as VG.

  9. From Virgin Vapors FAQ Even they use PG. It is one of those things that is hard if not impossible to do if you add any flavoring to Juice. I get the organic thing and that has good points. I do my best to add only non artificial flavors to my DIY as well, Less is better.

    Not so good news.

I posted my own comment to this article and reads as follows: "Go ahead and ban them! You will not stop people like me that can build my own E-cig and DIY my own flavors. I will teach every one I know to do the same. Good luck banning something that can be 100% DIYed. All you will do by banning the E-cig is condemn those who can no longer get this product to a slow and agonizing death by cancer. Good Job Government Flunkies" These people just irritate me.
