  1. OK I broke down and did it. I returned to SweetVapes and bought 4 KPT 2s red, blue, purple and clear. Then I loved my Vision Spinner Rainbow 1300 so much I bought another one of those. Then I mossied on down to EC Blends and ordered: 1 x Feel Like a Nut 30ml 1 x Dragon's Kiss 30ml 1 x Dragon's Brew 30ml 1 x Dragon's Café 30ml 1 x Dragon's Crown 30ml 1 x Dragon's Frozen Tear 30ml 1 x Dragon's Charm 30ml 1 x Dragon's Magic 30ml Thank goodness I don't have a husband I have to answer to or I would probably be in trouble. I won't be ordering anymore for a while, I hope. I should be set for a while.

    Is It My Imagination?

Where are you going that supplies have been low? I didn't have that problem when I went on my shopping frenzy last night -- and I have the bank account records to prove it. Lol.

  4. lol, 6 months in to vaping and I'm starting to relax about it. I no longer have the frenzy I had going when I started out searching for the Holy Grail of vaping - amazing flavor and huge clouds. I definitely think my expectations were pretty high in the beginning. I'm kind of a juice hound. I buy lots of different juices from different places. Some produce great clouds and some don't, and taste doesn't always correlate to vapor production. With a regular T2 and a fixed 650mah battery I get more vapor with some juices than I would have gotten on an analog. Truth is, now I'm at the point where I can just enjoy the vape. ( think I'll make a t-shirt "enjoy the vape" ) A lot of times I just sit and relax and take mild pulls, while I'm reading or something, getting a bit of flavor and a little vapor and I'm totally happy. I'm happy that I've saved $$$. I'm happy that I haven't smoked the over 4,000 cigarettes I would have by now. I'm happy that I feel better and I don't stink. I definitely had periods where of ups and downs, where everything was awesome and then it wasn't and they were rought to get through. honestly, I still have meh days where it's just not hitting the spot for me but I just keep moving on because my life isn't just about vaping. Yes things are much calmer now... lol,

  5. After 4 months of continuous use once of my wifes T3Ss started leaking around where the plastic meets the metal. All she has used in it is 24mg Extra Flavor Peppermint 24mg from ECBlends. Not sure if the liquid did it, but something did. That said, I am very happy to get 4 months use out of a $5 tank so either way, its no biggie. She also drops her stuff a LOT more than anyone I know. She was born with dropsies. Almost nightly she gets up out of her chair, her e-cig in her lap, and it hits the tile floor. Another reason she prefers the T3s over glass. She is just not careful with stuff. I bought an extra 5 pack of glass tanks for my Mini Davides and my KPT 2s not for me, but for when she knocks one off the table or something like that.

  6. I found an idea online to use a stainless steel cable as a wick. It rocks the vapor like nothing I have ever experienced before. The flavor that comes from it is better than cotton or a mesh wick. I have it setup in my RSST with a 1/8 inch diameter cable with a 1.8 ohm micro coil that is 5/64 inner diameter and just a little bit of cotton on the top under the coil as an insulator. I cut it with cable cutters to get a nice clean edge and torched the hell out of it. I wanted to make sure they did not send me something with zinc coating on it. I have found thru trial and error that I no longer have to tip the tank to re-wet the wick at all. If I do that I am getting gurgling and it leaks from the air hole. I have to keep it below a 4 o'clock position or it will leak. This by far is the most flavorful vape I have ever had. I am only pushing it with 3.6v thru my evic and it is amazing. I thought I would share this with everyone out there and see what others think.

  7. Well I assume you were smoking before you started vaping so the money you are spending is recouped quickly. Happy my wife Vapes too but wish she would take care of her own stuff. In 6 months she has filled 1 tank, while camping with her family and I was at work. She broke one T3S and just wrapped it up in a paper towel for me to "deal with" and just this morning she discovered another leaking where the plastic meets the metal and did the same lol. Good thing she is hot. Gonna give you my honest opinion and mean no offense but I find some people have unrealistic expectations. Not saying you do but I am sitting here with a Davide Mini with 1.8ohm coil of my morning flavor on top of a standard non VV Ego battery and am blowing clouds bigger than I would ever have gotten off an analog. I did nothing other than buy quality liquid and drip it into my tank. Don't make it so complicated abd if you want big clouds but some 65-70%vg liquid. Fuzion is my favorite overall and find 65vg 35pg to be my sweet spot. The clouds are so big I get concerned it is too much at work since I am in plain view in a large glass office. No complaints in overv 6 months so I guess it's no big deal. That's why I do not get all the wanting huge clouds personally. This is, to me personally, about maintaining a healthier alternative to smoking or tobacco products not setting a world record for a cloud of vapor. I would remind the wife and friends if you made a healthier choice that was at least same or most likely lower cost than the unhealthy choice you were making previously, like jogging vs getting stoned and eating whole pizzas, they would be proud and happy for you. How is this any different?

  11. The creaminess was my main attraction to the series, which is why I ordered 5 flavors in 30ml. That way I can vape some while having enough to be able to allow it to also steep for a lengthy amount of time. Right out of the mail they have no creamy taste whatsoever, and are almost alcohol-y. The fruit flavor is very prominent. I would really like the coconut in the Crown to be more creamy before I fill my tank up, and the Milk is overpowered by the cinnamon. I was very impressed by how they packaged the bottles. Each in their own sealed plastic within another outer plastic. A menu of their flavors and even a disposable mouthpiece came with the order. Top notch IMO.

  12. I have heard and read so much about the regulations on flavors and nic that have been passed around. I thought of something the other day. Im not sure if anyone has posted this, but if they have I am sorry. If they want to regulate that juice sold online can only be menthol or tobacco flavored. Why cant juice companies just mix up unflavored? If it is unflavored there cant be that much regulation other than the nic in it. I bet they would have a hard time regulating candy flavoring. Why would the mixers not ship the flavoring in the proper amount separate and you mix it when you get it? I dont know if my thinking and understanding of this topic is off, but it seems like a good idea to me.

    Best Vaporizer?

There isn't a best one out there. What's best for me and my Flavors & preferred resistance might not be great for & yours. With that said, depending on your delivery system, the Dna20's look promising, but too young to tell if they will hold up. I still say the Provari is the unbeatable one in craftsmanship, safety, materials, menu, & customer service. Keep an eye peeled on PBusardo, igetcha69, Todd Reviews, Mike the Hill Giant, AG (almighty God, PetListServ) at YouTube. The Provari really excels in every department.

  15. I agree, especially with some. I find the Dragons Tear transforms from one tank to the next. I never got much out of steeping until I tried more complex flavors I like. Same with Endless Summer from Fuzion. It comes in clear and in a week of steeping it is almost bright yellow and so flavorful. I finally get steeping I think.

Looks like I am going to let them all steep. The FLAN was good for the first half of the tank, then it started to taste very chemical and perfume-y. Very strange how it started out good and then went horribly wrong, lol. I can't wait until the flavors mature and are ready to vape. I know these will be some great juices.

  21. For me vaping was a way to get off analogs. I loved to smoke so in the past I always fell short of quiting. Vaping changed that for me. When my wife grumbles about what I spend on vape gear and supplies I remind her that I'm not smoking and spending $18.00 per day on analogs and spend maybe $0.00-$40 a month on stuff. That is less than what I spent in 3 days on analogs. She smoked too so I also added that card. It does cost a bit to get going then adding in playing and experimenting. I just figure that so long as I'm not spending more on vape gear than I did analogs I'm still saving, not just money but my heath as well. I see people get all bent up about vaper production. Me I didn't get into Vaping to become a walking fog machine. LOL It is cool to see the huge clouds and all but I think for an everyday vape, I just want to emulate the best I can to an analog or just a bit better. Don't loose sight of what you started vaping for. The big vapor clouds fall in that "Play" catagory for me and not why I started or continue to vape.

  22. They only extract nicotine from tobacco plants because it's higher concentrations. Nicotine is found in many other plants too. http://abouttesting.testcountry.com/2010/06/6-common-food-with-nicotine-content.html So basically saying nicotine is a tobacco product is not entirely correct. It's just our cheapest and most abundant source.

  25. An almost 10 minute story on NPR. It seems pretty impartial, giving a balanced view. http://www.npr.org/2013/10/21/239269426/e-cigarettes-a-nearly-2bn-industry-a-regulatory-wild-west I hope I am not in trouble for posting a link. Mods, feel free to remove it if it is a no no. The story talks about the dual users, smokers who will vape indoors and smoke everywhere else. IMHO I feel that it will be a low percentage of the population of vapers. For me, I went to vaping to get away from analogs. I liked that I could do both for a couple of days until I felt comfortable moving all the way to vaping. And to tell you the truth, I probably had more analogs then I really wanted to just to finish the pack. I would have one burning in the ashtray while I was taking a toot on my PV, not even thinking about it. I realize that ecigs can not be sold as a smoking cessation product, but I hope that changes in the future. Because for me it was the tool I needed to get me over the hump. I love the part at the end where the guy says that all of the PV's make you look uncool. That struck a positive cord for me... I'm not doing it to look cool... I'm doing it so I don't smoke!!!! That is the message that should be put out there.

  28. I would highly recommend an Anyvape Davide Mini and at least one 5-pack of 1.8 ohm replacement coils. If the Davide mini is a bit too airy when you take a draw, just put a tiny piece of tape over one of the three air holes at the base. If I were you I'd get more than one so you can keep different flavors in each and just change these out when you want to change flavors. I just ordered a bunch more from Discount Vapers. This way you'll be sure to get genuine Kangor coils (that's what the Davides and minis take). If you get knock offs you'll wind up with coils that don't work, that leak, and generally leave you very frustrated and wasted money. http://www.discountvapers.com/anyvape-davide-mini-glassomizer/ They're a little tricky to fill but man, are they worth it. The original coil that comes inside the Davide? Just take it out and throw it away. They never work well. The box comes with two replacement coils so just take one of them and put it into the clearomizer. These have Pyrex glass tanks so your juices taste so much better. Plus, there are some juices that will crack plastic tanks like what's in your Vivi Nova. You never have this problem with Pyrex. Rule no. 1 of vaping: Always have back ups for everything. Rule no. 2: Always have back ups of back ups for everything.

    Gauging wattage with a kick

Please include a link because my Sigelei Kick only has a range of between 5-10 watts and is marked around the adjustment pot in half watt increments. I know that the newest version of eVolv's Kick (the original maker of the Kick) goes to 15 watts, but it's considerably more expensive than the Sigelei (like three times the amount). The rattlesnake noise that you're hearing is normal...it's the PWM (pulse width modulation) of the Kick's circuitry turning the power off and on rapidly to achieve your desired power level. Instruction to operate Kick from Sigelei: 1. How to set Power Level (watts setting): The adjustment potentiometer (blue box) is located on the top side of the Kick. In the center of the box is a white adjustment screw to be used for adjusting the Kick’s power setting. The watts settings are marked ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD and can be seen around the pot/blue-box. NOTE: there are lines underneath each setting number, follow the lines to the corresponding watts setting. Turning the adjustment screw clockwise increases power and counter-clockwise decreases power. The settings range is from 5 watts to 10 watts. The Kick performs best with attys/cartos rated between 1.3 to 3.0 Ohms. You can use higher rated resistance but the Kick will not regulate well at the highest power levels if resistance is above 3 ohms. Unlike Variable voltage devices, the Kick does not need frequent adjustments. Once you find your preferred Power level, there is no need to constantly adjust it because the Kick will maintain that Power level even if you change attys/cartos and/or resistance. 2. Low Battery Indicator: The Kick will detect, and stop functioning, when a battery charge level drops below 3.2 volts UNDER LOAD (with an atty/carto attached). This is a safety feature. The Kick will tell you this feature is activating when you experience STUTTER VAPE (vapor-no vapor alternating – may feel like tss-tss-tss). If you continue to vape beyond this indicator, the Kick will stop functioning until a fresh battery charge is detected. Here's a close-up pic of one of my Sigelei Kicks. Notice the setting diagram to the left of the center post. Also notice the two dots on either side of one section of the white phillips head adjustment pot screw...those dots indicate the pointer (this Kick is currently set to 8 watts).

Best setup I have ever had!

The only thing that you need to watch out for in ss cable is to ensure that you are indeed getting Pure stainless steel cable. Not the stuff with the galvanized core down the middle. 7x7 or 7x19 seems to the best bang for your buck wicking wise. I use a 7x7 cable in my Rsst with an ekowool hat. Note the glass tank Rocking 1.1Ω with my Provari at 4.1 Volts.

    Working hard this morning!

HA!... I can relate to this, for a long time my father refused, no matter how hard I tried, to get a laptop and I was always having to rebuild his computer... (I'm not sure what he was doing to it but components were always frying and he always seemed to get viruses) I got tired of going over to his place and having him hover over me, throwing in his 2 cents, while I was working on it. I solved the problem by getting a second computer so I could just swap his out and work on the one with issues at home. I also set up an external drive to back up anything he was doing so that all I had to do was set up the clean computer and upload everything from the external... after 3 years of this he finally got a laptop... then constantly gave me grief for not setting him up with a laptop in the first place.

  43. This from SFATA: "It has come to SFATA’s attention that FDA has completed the drafting of its deeming regulation, and has submitted its proposal to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) at the White House. We believe that the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), the office within OMB responsible for reviewing proposed rules, is currently reviewing the deeming regulation now that the government shutdown has ended. By law, there is no minimum period for OIRA review, but the maximum period is 90 days. If OMB approves the final draft, the proposed rule will be published in the Federal Register, and the public will be given an opportunity (likely 60 days) to submit comments, which FDA is then required to review and analyze in its final rule." Here's some reading material: http://casaa.org/deeming_regulations.html

  44. Hoping for the best... planning for the worst... expecting something in-between. I don't think anyone has a problem with age restrictions, or even some limitations on e-cig advertising. Those are the obvious first steps that most politicians will agree on. The EU recently rejected tight restrictions on e-cigs, and hopefully we'll follow suit in the US. As others have mentioned, I think it's going to be tough to ban flavors, and they're probably not ready to impose new taxes (yet). Guess we'll find out soon enough...

  45. I think in order to be sold as a cessation aid, it would have be classified as a drug delivery system (which there was already a lawsuit over, and the courts ruled it a tobacco product; the patches are a drug delivery system) and they would, I believe have to tested, like, you know, FDA study/approval testing. I'm not positive though.

  46. While NPR/PBS tends to be more objective and less hysterical than the rest of the broadcast media this particular report still helps spread false claims and gives the biggest attention to an obvious opponent of e-cigs who merely states biased agenda driven opinion rather than fact while never being directly challenged or refuted. Personally I had no intention of quitting cigarettes altogether when I started vaping. Vaping was intended to be a substitute while I was at work. Within a week I no longer wanted to smoke cigarettes despite my original intentions and despite the comparatively primitive e-cig tech available at the time. I can think of no example of a person young or old that continues to smoke and vape unless they're new to vaping and still in transition. Unfortunately, as has become the norm in this country, government agencies will not act with even handed logic and reason when it comes to e-cig regulation. Our government gives every evidence of being corrupt and broken in just about any area they can wriggle their way into. Why should e-cig regulation be any different?
