Bump when you get something in vape mail.
HawaiiVapestah and 2 others reacted to Compenstine for a topic
Consume mass quantities. LOL Does finding an E cig count? I was in a local gas station last week and found an Ego CE4 clone on the floor. I turned it in to the manager thinking someone would return for it. They said if no one clamed it after a week I could keep it. It had been a week so I asked about it today and it was still there... it is now mine.3 points -

Suddenly, a cow runs out into the road and a Limo driving late at night hits it head on and the car comes to a stop. The woman in the back seat - in her usual abrasive manner, says to the chauffeur, "Get out and check on that poor cow--you were driving." So the chauffeur gets out, checks, and reports that the animal is dead but it appeared to be very old. 'Well,' says the woman, "You were driving, so you go and tell the farmer in that lighted farmhouse over there" Two hours later the chauffeur returns totally inebriated, a full belly, his hair ruffled, with a big grin on his face. "My God, What Happened to You?" asks the woman. The chauffeur replies, "When I got there, the farmer opened his best bottle of single malt scotch, the wife gave me a meal fit for a king, and the daughter made love to me." "What on earth did you say?" asks the woman. "Well, I just knocked on the door..........and, when it opened, I said to them, 'I'm Nancy Pelosi's chauffeur, and I've just killed the old cow."2 points

Dfw vape meet?
snkbytemike reacted to kfer008 for a topic
So I was thinking if there was enough people here to get together for a vape meet in the dfw area? Maybe we could even coordinate something with some local shops, for some of us new guys, we could learn from veterans ask questions and make new friends. Also find new place to shop for juices or equipment.1 point -
Radio Shack Model: 22-182 Multimeter MOD
ChrisP reacted to Compenstine for a topic
This was brought up in another thread, moding out a multimeter for testing atomizers. I had bought a Radio Shack Model: 22-182 Multimeter just for building coils and testing other E-cig needs. I promised a tutorial of what I did when I was done, well, here it is. I started with a stock Radio Shack Model: 22-182 Multimeter This Multimeter comes in its own case and is mounted with 2 screws into the case for changing the battery. I wanted to use the case it came in as it was very compact and is easy to store. After some thought I decided to make a panel that would fit into where the test leads were stored. This would allow me to close the case lid and keep it all in one neat package. I found an old 5.25 black bay cover for a PC to make the panel. I used connectors I salvaged from dead 510 and 901 batteries and atomizes also some used wire from a old PC LED. I wanted a tight fit for the panel so I made a template of the test lead storage plate from a piece of semi ridged clear plastic. Laying the plastic over the multimeter I traced out the shape I needed for my panel with a Sharpie. After cutting the template out, I traced it onto the 5.25 bay cover. I placed the template in the upper right corner of the bay cover. This would allow the downed edge to act as a stop and a support for the panel once in place. Using a Dremel I cut out the basic shape, leaving room to adjust it's shape to fit tight in the test lead storage area of the Multimeter. I used the Dremel with a sanding cylinder to shape it for clean fit. I used a 5/16th in drill bit to make the holes where the new leads would be mounted. This bit was a tad smaller than the atty and batt but, I wanted a tight fit. The 3/8ths bit was just a hair to large. I then took my Dremel and a small sanding cylinder to make the holes just the right size for them to fit nice an snug. Note the holes are a little off I made a line to follow but the center punch moved a bit on the second hole from the top. Ooops lol After that was all done and ready to go, I soldered the all the leads together. I did this before installing them into the panel so I wouldn't risk melting the plastic panel. Once soldered and mounted them into the panel. I did a test on all the new leads to make sure all had a good connection and they all worked. I did this by taking a base reading on 1 atty. Then using it with an adapter to test both the 510 and 901 atty leads. I then used 1 batt and did the same with the 510 and 901 batt leads. After it all tested a go, I then used 5min epoxy to glue the leads in place. I also added some to the wires so they would move and possibly break the solder joint. I want to be able to remove the panel when I want so the wires had to be secured. Once the epoxy had set, I retested the leads just to make sure all the leads were still working. It was at this time that I cut the original leads from the multimeter making sure I left a little extra in case of a redo. I then soldered them to the leads of the panel. To protect the connection I used some shrink tubing on these connections. Now it is time to pop in the panel and test it again. It all tested good so there it is, a custom 510, 901 Atty and Batt tester. The space at the top allows me to add 4-5 adapters for testing other size attys, Batts or extending the lead up to test tanks that are to big around to fit directly on the 510 lead. Two little boys are going to the hospital the next day for operations. Theirs will be first on the schedule. The older boy leans over and asks, "What are you having done?" The second boy says, "I'm getting my tonsils out, and I'm afraid." The first boy says, "You've got nothing to worry about. I had that done when I was four. They put you to sleep, and when you wake up, they give you lots of Jell-O and ice cream. It's a breeze." The second boy then asks, "What are you going in for?" The first boy says, "Circumcision." "Whoa!" the smaller boy replies. "Good luck, buddy. I had that done when I was born. Couldn't walk for a year."1 point

What guage Kanthal wire to use? N00B help!
VaperKitty reacted to Compenstine for a topic
What RBA (Rebuildable Atomizer) do you have? I stay away from fiberglass wicking. Other than that it really depends on the atomizer. Silica will work in 99.9% of the atomizers. Some people prefer cotton, and some use Stainless Steal Mesh. If your just starting I would recomend Silica for a tank and cotton for RDA (Rebuildable Drip Atomizer) Being new to building coils I would suggest 32ga. But always, Always check the ohms with a multimeter before attaching it to your device. should read between 2 and 1.3 ohms Wire gage numbers go from 32 being thin and 28 being thick. The lower the number, the thicker it gets. The thicker wire is best for Low ohms 1.00 or lower, the thiner gage is best for higher ohms 1.3 or higher. As lanab8 said do a youtube search for.. Rebuilding a "your atomizer" (insert your brand atomizer in the quotes) and you will find info for rebuilding your atomizer.1 point -

Hi WickedAngel Dont forget to clean the top of your battery and the connecting threads often too. Dirty connections, dried juice on the battery and so forth can diminish the clean contact and one of the by-products of that can be overheated coil and excessive heat in the tank. Keep 'em clean1 point

Almost all flavors take some time, even single flavs like banana and pineapple, as my wife gives me daily reviews, at first I thought I was in trouble! But day by day she stated more flavor...as far as more complex mixes..I'm glad for a great chum, who seems more like my crack dealer....first she turns me on to the best juice, makes me order ASAP , then feeds me steeped till mine gets good...Sounds like a damn Starksy and Hutch episode !?, but a few weeks is making a big difference..... I love the great service, and quality control, anmsea certified and every bottle tracking number makes a lot of sense anymore.. the majors are doing all they can to be ready for what comes next....FDA1 point

Posted this another thread but it got buried... ATM I use the old school 401s for my flavor testing and have 1 atty for each flavor. Now that I'm running low on them and find the flavor is definitely sub par to a RBA SS mesh wick tank, I'm looking for a good RDA that I can use a SS mesh wick. Looking at: Smokteck 510 RDA (not showing wick type) IGO-L 510 RDA (shows Fiberglass or Silica Rope wick type) IGO-W RDA (shows Fiberglass, Silica Rope or SS Mesh wick type) Phoenix V2 RDA (not showing wick type) The IGO-L or IGO-W is what I'm leanig toward but, I'm just not knowlagable enough in RDAs to make up my mind. I don't want a replaceable atomizer/cartomizer as I'm moving away from any thing I can't grab some wire, wick and rebiuld it. I'm finding that the SS mesh don't hold the previous flavor of juice like silica and cotton wick can so, mesh is a must. Any advice from you long time drippers would be a great help, Cost is not so much an issue for this?1 point -

Two old ladies were outside their nursing home, having a smoke when it started to rain. One of the ladies pulled out a condom, cut off the end, put it over her cigarette and continued smoking. Lady 1: "What's that?" Lady 2: "A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet." Lady 1: "Where did you get it?" Lady 2: "You can get them at any drugstore." The next day ... Lady 1 hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms. The guy looks at her kind of strangely (she is, after all, over 80 years of age), but politely asks what brand she prefers. Lady 1: "It doesn't matter as long as it fits a Camel."1 point
