  1. Started vaping recently in an effort to transition/quit smoking. This method as some may be aware has been utilized by smokers for years. Obviously not in the same format, but the foundation of delivery was the same. What I find so frustrating is the lose/lose position a smoker is in as far as the perception of regulating entities, and the realization that they perceive e-cigs in a negative light only due to self imposed ignorance on how they handled cigarettes. It's so twisted..the reality of the whole situation is that it simply boils down to money. Our state and federal governments have been milking smokers with heavy tax for years, they advertise this as an incentive to get people to quit. Reality is, they know full well that all this will do is fund them. Now another possible alternative comes along that isn't introduced by a drug company and they feel the need to put the brakes on. Don't get me wrong...they aren't banning them, but they aren't doing much to support the cause either. I can't say that e-cigs are a silver bullet, but they give people hope of the possibility that they may be able to embrace a viable replacement to cigarettes. If they begin taxing, or harshly regulating this product they do nothing more than show their true colors and just how much they actually care about the health of Americans. They talk about e-cigs being a gateway to smoking! You have to be kidding me! Nicotine doesn't get you high, sending the user looking for the next progression. Most smokers started by believing it was cool, or to fit in and found themselves hooked. To this day..our government in recent times has less to say about that then e-cigs! It's all about the handout they receive from big tobacco and it's such a transparent stance that it's offensive they believe any sensible person would see this any differently. God willing, my new e-cig, and the producers of the product help support me as I try to get off of the tobacco train. Lord knows if the dollars in tax I give now change to cents the government will happily determine that they mislabeled the tax as being tobacco, when it was intended to be nicotine. That happens, it's time to go after all the users of caffeine too, because if their was cigarette with caffeine and no nicotine, rest assured there would be people who'd start using it. Leave the e-cigs and those of us excited about trying a new quitting option alone! This is what the leaders of this country have preached to us smokers, so put your money where your mouth is and back a healthier alternative rather than thinking about how to make up the revenue difference.

  2. I love Eric, great dude that goes above and beyond. He sent me a whole bag of replacement o-rings for my Davide Minis just because I asked when they would be available since I had lost or broken a few of mine. I just started out ordering hardware from Sweet-Vapes so that's who I end up ordering most of my stuff from if all things are equal but DV is just as top notch. No one has to take back anything, especially something that could have been dropped or damaged by user error. That's definitely above and beyond.

    Vaping For Deer

Well, it's getting close to that time of year again. Yup...deer season is about to begin and I, for one, have been waiting with bated breath all year for it. And speaking of bated breath, I've been wondering about "baited" breath. Specifically, I'm wondering if there might be a particular flavor of eJuice that might serve as an attractant for deer or a cover-scent for me, like maybe a peanut butter or apple flavored eJuice that may bring 'em on in. As far as giving myself away with "smoke" signals, I tend to hunt from a blind, so the visible vapor shouldn't alert them to my position. Is that RY4 I smell?

  7. Lol! And I didn't even bring in the "other" bag of goodies. You'll have to let me know how she goes, Troy. Hopefully, we got her into the gear she really needed to become a true vaper. The stuff she had was nice but was waaaay too advanced for a noob. The intimidation factor was hard at work to keep her from putting down the analogs altogether. I stayed for another hour after you and your lady left. While her hubby was learning how to rebuild coils for an RDA, we talked about vaping and tips and tricks. I'm cautiously optimistic that it'll take this time. Great to see you again and it was wonderful to get to meet your lovely lady. See you again in a week or two! Back ups and back ups of back ups. It's never a bad thing and you can never have too much.

  8. Lots of fun and prizes, best was seeing Tam again...this lady knows her stuff, converting noobs and training drippers!! This gal is such a hard core Vaper, she brought enough gear for a week, for just a one hour drive !! Probably just in case she's abducted by aliens. Lol

  10. Honestly at times yes. I found myself chain vaping to get satisfied. I only used 24mg for 4 months and then switched. Thing is I used about 2ml of 24mg per day and I now use at least 3ml of 18mg per day so my nic intake is probably the same. Thing is I also switched to a Vamo running 7watts with 1.8ohms where I was using 2.2ohm with the Vision Spinners so I am bound to go through more. Then again my main motivation for dropping is that nicotine tastes like crap to me now and flavors I sort of liked at 24mg I love at 18. It cannot be overstated the affect the nic has on flavor of liquids. Go in a shop and taste some of the flavors at their juice bar which will most likely be 0nic. Then taste the 18 or 24mg. Huge difference. I'm just wondering if I switch to 12mg if the flavor will be even better, as I assume it will. Not sure I will ever drop below 12 and am going to take the step to 12 slow and gradual. When I switched to 18 I just did it. Switching to 12 I plan to integrate 12s into my rotation over time.

  11. Almost every shop I know pushes Iclear and I suspect they are a more profitable product to sell. I hardly ever see anyone online talking about them yet in the shop they are all the rage lol. I can picture the guy at the shop using it then grabbing his pro-tank as soon as he leaves haha.

    Direct Dripping

ATM I use the old school 401s for my flavor testing and have 1 atty for each flavor. Now that I'm running low on them and find the flavor is definitely sub par to the RBA SS mesh tank, I'm looking for a good RDA. I'm looking for a RDA that i can use with a mesh wick. Looking at: Smokteck 510 RDA IGO-L 510 RDA Phoenix V2 510 RDA The IGO-L is what I'm leanig toward but, I'm just not knowlagable enough in RDAs to make up my mind. I don't want a cartomizer as I'm moving away from any thing I can't grab some wire, wick and rebiuld it. I'm finding that the SS mesh don't hold the previous flavor of juice like silica and cotton can so mesh is a must. Any advice from you long time drippers would be a great help, Cost is not an issue for this?

  13. With several 1300s before I got my Vamo, the only problem I had was finding my charger since they last so long. I do not think there is much difference to me between the battery life of a 1300 spinner and an 18650 APV battery.

  15. We got two iTaste MVP's, three California hand blown glass tanks with duel coil flanged cartomizers (which I very may well be punching bigger holes into), one duel layer *pink* clearomizer tank, a California hand blown stylized drip tip, one straight chrome drip tip, one stylized chrome drip tip, and two plastic iTaste clearomizers, 6 flavors total. Three 30mLs Bull Juice (sweet redbull fruity tasting) Strawberry (very sweet strawberry, doesn't burn), and Spring Breeze ( !! !! !! Clearo cracker !! !! !! A very fresh blueberry, with an exhale of mint, amazing. *Glass tank only*) Three 15mLs. Raspberry Lemonade (still haven't tried it.. assuming it tastes just like the name) and Clove. (Amazing for cigarette cravings, and it over powers anything you mix it with, usually used to get rid of bad juice.) Lastly, Lemonade. (We requested this specifically, very strong. Very good. *Glass tank only*) A free syringe, and two free vape condoms.

    Flavor progression

I started out with one fruit flavor and went back to cigarettes. I eventually started vaping again, got clove. I love clove sooooo much even to this day. Not only does it give you that tobacco flavor alot of people look for, it also does good for over powering other flavors. I got a liquid called Blueberry Kona Coffee (apollo brand) that sounded good, tasted it and ended up hating it. Mixed my clove with it and got through the bottle. My all day vape liquid right now is called 'Bull Juice' it's almost like a juicy fruit flavor. Really good. When I crave cigarettes though, it's back to clove.

    Whatcha Vaping?

I can't seem to make it through a whole day without a little Pluid or Rixter's Absinthe. I'm getting hooked on the licorice flavored juices myself.

  18. Percentages can be used to state the PG/VG ratio and also the nicotine content. For example 70/30 juice would be 70% PG 30 % VG. Usually PG is the first number but I have seen vendors do it the other way around. The nic percentage is the amount of nicotine in the juice. 1.8% = 18 mg of nicotine per mililiter, 1.2% equals 12mg per ml of juice. .6% = 6mg/ml etc...

    Too Harsh!

If you plan to continue vaping I would invest in decent gear. The CE4 clearos that are most likely cheap off brands like most B&Ms carry are good for 2-3 fills at the most in my beginning experience. Thats my big knock on Brick and Mortars and why I will never buy any hardware there unless I am in a serious pinch; they sell inferior products (some not all, but I would say "most") for inflated prices making people think vaping is a lot more expensive than it is. Then when peoples gear doesnt work the way they thought it would, they go back to smoking. I live in a city of over 100k and there is one B&M that I like their liquids and carries real name brand products and give good advice. Only problem is they are 200-300% higher than the same product online. Dude you are on the path most of us started on. I spent $80 a piece on a kit for my wife and I from a local cigar store that was garbage. Once you research and find out what is out there a whole new world opens up. Its like cars. If the only car that was available locally was a Hyundai but you could get a Corvette ordering online for the same price would you do it? I suggest looking into one of the following kits: http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl&product_id=2104&category_id=54 http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl&product_id=1593&category_id=54 I mostly use a Vamo now, an APV, but I still use my Spinners every time I am not wanting to carry my "Light Saber" with me lol. A couple tips. If you get the Pro Tank be sure to pick the ProTank 2 If you get the other one I suggest the T3S as your tank Definitely upgrade the battery to 1300mah. I cannot help you with your kit, because there is no advice that will make it work consistently the way you want it to. The CE clearos last a week if you are lucky and have to be replaced. They do not have coils that can be changed if I am looking at what you have correctly.

  22. Example of the vertical coil.. Think about it as a super carto, This is how they are designed, but without the nanocoil. This is on my Fogger, with cotton as a wick.

    Genesis Micro-Coils?

I've been hearing a lot of chatter lately in the RBA community about micro-coils. For the uninformed, micro-coil means lots of wraps (10 or more) with the coils touching each other. Apparently, these touching wraps have the effect of counterbalancing the added resistance of the extra length of wire, which results in a coil resistance that isn't as high as it would be with separated coils of the same length of wire. The benefit is supposed to be more surface area of heating element, which means more vaporized juice at any given moment, which means more flavor. I've seen a lot of pictures of micro-coils on RDAs, but not much on Genesis RBAs, so I've been wondering if anybody here has had any experience with using micro-coils around a stainless steel Genesis wick.
