E-Liquid Organizer
wizard46304 reacted to Tam for a topic
Thankfully, I'm good at thinking outside the box. After knocking over my eGo batteries just by looking too hard at them I got some toothbrush holders that hold them and work nicely. The next thing was to organize my ever growing collection of e-liquids. At first they kinda piled up on my desk. Then, I started putting them into little plastic boxes. Piled up on my desk. With the way it was I couldn't tell what flavors they were until I pulled them out and looked. That wasn't working so well for me. So, I started looking around and found these nifty nail polish racks and it came in this week. My SO put it up on the wall for me today and... These are nearly all of the bottles I have with the exception of maybe one or five. Yes, I'm either going to need another one or I need to get busy and vape some of these bottles empty. I'm thinking the latter option is preferable.1 point -
Should your juice taste as clean as a hookah tobacco?
spydre reacted to tzymroz2013 for a topic
why not just get yourself a vision spinner online and buy your blu cartridges from blu? But you will eventually get the burnt taste if you let the cartridge run try. Besides I thought I read in a previous post you thought they changed their flavors on you and it too now taste like crap. Medically it sounds like you have some issues that no vender or vape gear can fix, maybe get checked for some allergy's. By continued smoking the cigarettes this is most likely contributing to your taste bud acting up problem versus your e juice. A script for a sedative may help ease your nerves until your mail arrives. My motto is to treat others the way I would want to be treated and my guess here is that you are being a bully to all venders due to some perceived wrong of few bad apples which really is not fair. Guess the one guy that you like because he gives you tons of freebees when you complain is not doing you any favors because you are learning to bully others thinking you will get a discount from the vender that did not get your order out pronto. We all have to wait our turn sir. i might have placed my order at 8 am with same vender but I would not have the expectation that the order would even go out until Monday period. As has been stated your expectation of the thing ordered on Friday going out that same day when you did not even get your order in until 200 pm is unrealistic. good luck with whatever new products you try and I hope you find something that meets your expectations.1 point -
Also, with a sealed adapter, I've found it restricts airflow in my atomizer too much so I can't take a decent draw. The 901 and original drip shields do require an adapter but Keith, the owner of Empire Mods, fixed that nicely by making drip shields specifically for an eGo type battery. That's why, when I recommend a drip shield, I only recommend those that come from Empire Mods and have the words "eGo" in the name of the shield. The others would require an adapter while the latter do not.1 point

With the drip shield that's specifically made for the eGo, the O-ring sits nicely below the atty/battery connection so you don't need an adapter.1 point

If you flood it to where it won't work well, take off the atomizer from your battery and blow the juice out from the battery connection end into a paper towel or tissue. Put it back on the battery, add just a couple of drops and vape. That should take care of it. I got a couple of months before the coil gunked up enough that the performance dropped way off and no amount of soaking in vodka would take care of it anymore. But keep in mind that I use these almost exclusively so it gets a lot of use. The only time I use any other delivery device like my Davide mini is when I'm driving.1 point

Before I take off for a trip I just vape until I need more juice, add one to three drops (usually only two), and go. It doesn't need to be super wet, it just can't be bone dry. Glad you liked it, Troy. See? This is what we've been talking about and why I can't go back to regular atomizers. They just can't compare. Now, I'm waiting to hear from Hanna about the four I sent back to him for cleaning/rebuilding. There's nothing wrong with these four except I drip dark, sweet juices that gunk up the coils faster than others. With the instructions that say no dry burning to get the gunk off I'm sending them back for repair/cleaning. For $5 - $10 for up to 5 atomizers and some shipping and handling, that's a pretty low price for the quality you get.1 point

So I am now a proud owner, ordered drip a drip shield from Empire on Friday, received on Monday and followed the breaking in directions from the website.. First ten puffs, not much flavor, using a light colored juice "Pineapple Express" and have my eVic with a KTP filled with the same for comparison. Next ten puffs ..meh....love the way the shield holds a lot of juice, you can hear and feel the gurgle. Couple cold pullls (no power draws) to pull the juice back from the shield into the atty.. Taste and vapor improves...5 more puffs..equal to or better than the KPT....5 more puffs and KABOOOM!!!! Holy Freaking Flavor Buds! My tounge is bouncing of the ceiling ! I am ordering a couple more of these, one for dark sweets, one for a backup..thanks to Tam, and Rixter for turning us on to a great product!! Question, instructions state to keep wet and never let them dry out, suggestions tips tricks? Will be traveling with this unit everyday, but use it 3-5 days a week I'm guessing, so how do you store wet inbetween?1 point

i like your juice station Patricia, I am getting ready to make something to hold my juices, mods and battery's, I bought a dremel and there is a local wood floor and cabinet shop that has been throwing away some large and small pieces of wood so I can experiment in making a juice stand for free. It will just cost me some free time but I enjoy projects and love the feeling of being organized. some people in groups are buying these from amazon and ebay, They run about 30.00, can also get this in black. Others are buying crates from Vapecrate. or jaxstands. I like free but others here might be interested in these. was not sure how to link directly the tattoo ink holder but here is a picture of them Clear Acrylic Tattoo Large Ink Display Stand 5-tier Rack Organizer but can be used to store their e juices1 point -

I have never ordered anything from anywhere that took longer than 4-5 business days to arrive using the cheapest shipping option. Someone has some pretty unrealistic expectations to expect credit for an order not shipping when ordered on a Friday afternoon. Sorry for being so frank, but being in business it reminds me of the person that negotiated on a car for 2 weeks then complain we cannot process the credit submission, wait for approval, and process all the paperwork in 5 minutes.1 point -
Holy cow! Fuzion vapors
Tam reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
That's how tastes are funny, that's polar opposite of me. Switch where the flavors placement in your post are and that's me. Didn't care for Gummy Blood, WaterFelons, and Rasta Blood didn't do it for me. Apple Cinanna is a good one too but not an all day vape for me. Still for me, Endless Summer is about the only flavor I have that I can suck a KPT dry and refill yet not feel the need to switch flavors. I guess that makes that my favorite.1 point -

If I am going to be gone more than an hour I always have my case with 3 extra tanks now that I switched to all KPT 2s for my all day flavors, an extra coil, an extra charged 18650, and a charged 1300mah Vision Spinner as a backup to my Vamo. Without my case I feel naked, as if I do not have my iphone or wallet etc...1 point -

I'm sure in their FAQ they state somewhere about how long (many days) it might take to process an order? If they have a lot of orders it stands to reason it would take the vendor a few days to process and package yours. It really doesn't matter where you live, people from all over are buying things from their site since they're online. So that would put your order further down the list. If this vendor were to give you store credit for taking a reasonable amount of time to process your order, I would've been very surprised. And they also get days off -- just like we do.1 point -
I am completely off tobacco flavors. I dont enjoy them anymore. My wife vapes like 80% tobacco flavors. She just likes the flavor just like any other flavor. To each his own1 point

The little jars in the middle, believe it or not, are salt & pepper shakers that look like mini mason jars. I bought 6 of them for $1.00 a piece. In one I have all my drip tips, collars, etc. The next I have alcohol for soaking coils/wicks. Next I have a napkin at the bottom to put the coils/wicks in to dry. one jar is for Q-Tips, one is for batteries not in use at the moment and 1 jar holds tool I work with like syringe, tweezers and file. There is still room for my tanks that has juice in them waiting their turn in the rotation and a bottle of sweetener. Of course you see on top my juices that are in current rotation with there needle nose bottles to the right of each one to keep from getting them mixed up. Most of my batteries, tanks, clearos and juices not in current use in in my make up bags in my Cheetah tote bag. That whole set up on the table was $15.00 and that includes the black kitchen drying mat. I just walked down the Isles at Freds store and picked it up piece by piece. I know you did not ask for that extensive explanation but I am proud of my little OCD project.1 point

Oh dear. I had a larger response mostly typed out, however, I had to go to bed, and Firefox crashed on me. And for some reason it wouldn't bring up my auto-saved response from last night. I've tried a BUNCH of RY4's, and Holy Grail RY4 from Vapor Beast is the only one I've liked remotely. I get that and Kick Ash Tobacco from there, but they are among the most popular juices (Kick Ash is the highest seller), and they are a smaller outfit. I'm planning on writing a supplier review, probably after I get back from the doctor today to go into the um, quirks with this supplier. But, Vapor Beast does not have sample packs, and it only has two sizes, 15 and 30 ml. The Holy Grail RY4 your best bet to get the the holy grail is to order it early in the week, as they get their shipments at the end of the week, so generally, Monday is your best bet for ordering it. (I'll go into reasons why when I do my supplier review - which will focus on the juice end of their operations). Okay, that sounds really, really dirty.1 point

If you are looking for a maple with color, I would recommend a Japanese maple. We have two. Well, one was an accident, truly. The seeds took root and grew there. We've had a couple of trees do that. Anyway, beautiful red leaves throughout the yesr, though slightly different from the traditional maple shaped leaves. Ours are still youngish yet, so I don't know how big they'll get. Unfortunately, we are going to have to cut the older one down. Someone intentionally planted it right next to the house, where the roots will compromise the stone foundation. Or maybe when we get the fence extended, we'll have room to transplant it, unlike the Bradford Pear that the last tenant planted under a power line, and now the foliage SURROUNDS the power line, but we will have to get THAT one professionally removed. I'm working on a longer response about the RY4, but that's downstairs, but it will be up in the morning, hopefully.1 point

I started having a little trouble with my HH.357's resistance level dropping, so I sent it back for them to check it out. Let me be clear that its performance remained outstanding. The following conversation is from my AvidVaper Help Desk and knowledge base ticket: Rixter: I just received my HH.357 Long Barrel Hybrid 510 Atomizer three days ago, and it is the best performing atty I've ever used. The only thing that concerns me is that the resistance level has slowly dropped from 2Ω to 1.7Ω, and I'm just wondering if that's normal with the HH.357. I'm using an 80PG/20VG blend, and my juices are relatively clear. Rixter: I've been using it on a Sigelei Zmax set at 8 watts. Rixter: Resistance is still dropping. It's now dropped from 2Ω to 1.5Ω after only four days of use. I figure I've dripped less than 3 ml. through it so far. Hanna Hadawar: Hey Rick, that doesnt sound good...what liquid are you using? is it dark or sweet? any dry burning for cleaning or accidental? Rixter: I've been mostly using EC Blends' Chocolate Malt, which is sort of sweet but not too dark. I have not dry burned the atty or cleaned it in any way. As I said before, I've only had it for a few days and followed all instructions on the product page to the letter. It performs remarkably well, and except for the drop in resistance, I've had no problems with it at all. I have used it exclusively on my Sigelei Zmax set to 8 watts, so the device has been adjusting its voltage to compensate for the lower resistance, but at 1.5Ω, I hesitate to use it on any of my other regulated devices. I've attached a close-up of the coil so you can see the condition of it, and also a pic of the juice I'm using in it. Hanna Hadawar: Oh yeah wow coils look great actually. thanks for sending the pics it always helps. If you would like you can send the atty to my address below and i can take a look at what is going on and get it repaired or replaced for you. Rixter: It's still dropping (now at 1.3Ω), so I'll send it back this weekend. Rixter: Hi Hanna. I mailed my HH.357 to you on 8/3/13, and USPS tracking confirms delivery on 8/6/13. I was just wondering if you've had a chance to check it out yet and figure out what's going on with the resistance drop. I'm not rushing you, but it's such a great atty that I do find myself missing it. Hanna Hadawar: Hey Rick, I do have it and I will be able to give you an update a little later this evening if that is ok with you. I will probably be able to ship something back to you tomorrow. Rixter: Thanks Hanna. Hanna Hadawar: Rick, took the atty apart, coil looked good but wick was fused solid and coil wouldnt budge. A few of the windings of wire were fused together and shorting, dropping resistance. I was able to break them free and the resistance is up to 2.1 ohm. This issue is often seen with accidental fire, prolonged dry burning or not enough liquid when vaping OR anything that would cause it to run hotter than normal repeatedly. You have said you didnt dry burn so that one is out so maybe a little more liquid is needed? It can be caused by deposits on the coil but your coil was pretty clean. I am going to rebuild this for you and send it out, just $5 for shipping, is that ok with you? Rixter: Glad you are able to repair it, and the shipping charge will be fine. Just let me know how to proceed with payment. I gotta tell you, at around $25 shipped for one atomizer, I was extremely careful not to dry burn or abuse it in any way...in fact, I babied it. The instant I didn't detect the slight gurgle of e-liquid, I added a few more drops. I also kept the power at 8 watts because that's all it took to get great taste and vapor production. I'm pretty baffled by this. Hanna Hadawar: It might not be anything you did at all, might just be the malty flavoring, I have seen a lot of liquids and with that i have seen some strange things. Everything from melting wire and plastic to conductive liquid and conductive when heated?? I cant explain it unfortunately, the HH has the same materials as any other atty but goes through liquid very quickly so if there is an issue it tends to present itself faster on the HH. Some people have chosen not to use the hh with certain liquids, others just decide that the flavor of the liquid is better than the added performance of the HH and cant justify the added price and I completely understand. That's all I have for now, but I thought everyone should be reminded that the HH.357 should never be run dry or over-heated.1 point
-
According to the vid on the site they say that a 2.0 ohm coil does best at a recommended 4.3 - 4.8 volts, which surprised me because that sounds so high. But with these being wound so tight I guess they can easily take the extra voltages. Thanks again for the rec!1 point

HH.357...Who Here Has Used One?
Nico5point0 reacted to Tam for a topic
Okay, it finally got here today. Mine is the HH.357 Cisco Spec Hybrid, 2.0 ohm, matte black, standard sized atomizer. I read the directions, blew out the primer, dabbed a little inside (very gently) to get the rest of it out, added 5 drops of juice and took an unpowered draw. Gurgled a little like it's supposed to, added a couple more drops and vaped. No flavor. But I expected this because of the lingering primer. Kept vaping in short-ish draws, added more juice, vaped some more, added more juice, vaped some more, all the while waiting in eager anticipation for the flavor to come though and blow me away. It didn't. I kept at it as I'd read that it takes some time for the break in period to finally come through. Gotta admit that I vaped myself silly and killed a battery doing it. Changed to a fully, freshly charged battery and kept trying. I finally had to put it down as I got too much nicotine in my system. After dinner I tried it again for about 20 minutes and BAM! I got a clue. Turn up the voltage, dummy. I'd set my battery at 3.8 volts as I didn't want to risk blowing the coil right off the bat. Turned up the voltage to 4.0 and...a little something. Turned it up some more to 4.3 and...WOW. Full freakin' flavor! For several months I've been stuck on EC Blend's Feels like a Nut (tastes just like an Almond Joy candy bar), and it had gotten to the point where the flavor was pretty muted even with direct dripping. With the HH.357 it's like the first time I tasted this juice. I am beyond impressed. I'm taking shorter draws than I usually do because the flavor coming through is so intense. And holy clouds of vapor, Batman! The draw is very light, almost like a Kangor Pro Tank but just a touch tighter. And did I mention the FLAVOR??? Avid Vaper just got an order for two more of these from me. Thanks, Rixter, for another most excellent recommendation. I can't believe I waited this long...1 point -
