I will wake and vape, knowing today marks 6 MONTHS tobacco free! ***Pats self on back***4 points -
My first online order finally arrived from ECBlend. I'm still new to full time vaping even though I had my equiptment for a while and I've just been buying my e liquid locally for almost $10 for 5ml, then I found this forum and realized that I could purchase it online. ECBlend was recommended to me in a different thread that I started and I have to say I am very pleased. I ordered a total of 5 different flavors with different base mixes and in different sizes and the only downside was waiting for it to arrive. It wouldn't have been hard if I liked either of the two flavors I bought to wait for them to arrive. Well to make a long story short I realized while reading through their website that I would have to wait for everything to steep after they arrived because they were mixed fresh. Well the package arrived (a day early) and they included a few free gifts; a free friend tip, and two different juices dragon's tears and mind bender and it says both say they were premixed and steeped already so I have something delicious to vape while I wait. Very happy right now, I planned on trying other companies just to see what other options were out there while I wait but I'm very happy with ECBlends right now. Anyone want to share some happy stories about places they're ordered from so I can see if I should still shop around or just be happy with this company. I plan on making another order in a week or two just so I can start having a constant supply of steeped liquids so recommendations are welcome as well. I figured this is kind of a random post but I'm just a well satisfied customer seeing if theres other places that make people this happy. ~Drew~2 points

How To Rebuild A KPT Head - A Pictorial Tutorial
rcoe and one other reacted to iheartvape for a topic
I just did one for my kpt2 just to see if I could, even though I mainly use my RDA. It actually came out pretty good. Had to mess with the coil a bit, I guess it was touching the side so it was reading at 0.6ohm then I slid the coil over and pushed it down a little and its now reading as 2.3ohms. The draw it a little tighter then with the Kanger coils, but that is good cause I thought the Kanger wick/coil was too airy.2 points -
Emergency vaping help, please!
tzymroz2013 and one other reacted to Rixter for a topic
Sounds like you've done everything that you are willing or able to do. Based on the hardware you listed above, I don't know of a single thing you might try differently. I currently own 15 PVs and even more delivery devices (RBAs, cartomizers, clearomizers, glassomizers, atomizers, etc.) and the only time I ever get a burnt taste is when a carto runs dry and burns the poly-fill. Juicers with a silica or rolled stainless steel wick may burn my throat when dry, but never give me a burnt taste. I use an 80PG/20VG blend that is thin enough to keep wicking no matter how much power I put to the coil (some of my RBAs are running at 15+ watts on a single coil with zero burnt taste). @jeffb - I started to recommend the EVOD, but he's having the same deal with the KPT2. PS - did you try dialing down the voltage? lol2 points -
SmokTech RSST Simple Leak Fix
tzymroz2013 reacted to Rixter for a topic
Anyone who owns a SmokTech RSST will probably agree that it is a really great RBA, but it does have at least one flaw...it leaks. This is something that I've seen online over and over from RSST owners, so I figured it had to be a design issue. I then set out to figure out what the problem was and how to fix it. Well, I figured it out, and the solution is a simple one. The leak occurs because Smoktech decided to go with a hard white plastic insulator where the positive posts passes through the RSST's top deck, so your juice ends up flowing right past the insulator, down the shaft, and right out the bottom into your mod's 510 connection. Why they went with a hard plastic top deck insulator instead of a soft silicone insulator/seal is beyond me, but they did. To stop your RSST from leaking, you'll need to get some of these: Silicone top-hat seals for an AGA-T2 I was unsuccessful in finding just the seals, but I did find the entire AGA-T2 replacement part kit (which includes a couple of these seals) for $2.59 from VaporCigzz. (If anyone is successful in finding just the seals, please post where you found 'em.) Once you have your silicone seals, just break down your RSST and replace the hard plastic top deck insulator with one of the soft silicone insulators/seals. Then put everything back together, fill 'er up, and enjoy leak-free vaping. I hope this helps...mine hasn't leaked a single drop since I did this. My SmokTech RSST with AGA-T2 top deck seal...no more leaks!1 point -

AW IMR vs E-Fest 18650s
Uma reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
I sort of did a non scientific study over the last 30 days switching between my these two batteries in my Vamo and the AW lasted on average around 3 hours longer than the E-fest. There are variables that make it imperfect as far as exact times like changing wattage, times I vape more vs vape less, weekends vs weekdays, activities I am doing like driving and chain vaping vs being at a school function for hours where I hardly vape if at all etc... All that considered I definitely feel the AW is a better battery than e-fest with regards to how long they last. Just sharing.1 point -
I'm not the best person to ask about this because of a couple issues (you can check the history of threads I've started to see my issue), but I don't know how long you've been vaping, but the longer you are away from analogs, the more your tastebuds begin to heal. Sometimes what tastes good in the beginning, won't taste good later, and vice versa. HOWEVER, sometimes you find a flavor, or flavors, that you can't pull away from, they keep drawing you back in, or they are your comfort zone. There are a lot of things that I like food wise, that I don't like juice wise. But don't be afraid to experiment, either, occasionally, as your budget allows, get a sampler pack from a vendor of things that SOUND good - they may either be good or foul. If you think you are changing coils too often (and I'm not aware of tobacco or coffee flavors causing that), firstly, how often do you clean out your tanks, and secondly, you may want to start cleaning your coils if you think there is a problem, doing a hot water rinse, soaking them in vodka or everclear, letting them air dry. It could be you are just getting gunk built up on the coils, and they need cleaned more often than you are cleaning them. Then have back up coils that you can put in the tank while the other is air drying, and you can just rotate them until you are sure a coil has gone bad. I mean, when you say you are going through some coils, are you talking about gurgling, leaking, etc.?1 point

If you have to use the knurled portion to unscrew it from your device, you put it on way to tight.1 point

I just rebuilt 12 coils. Took about an hour. Each reading between 2.2 and 2.5 on the Vamo. Sweet.1 point

We like what we like. There's really no one size fits all with e-juices so no one can really tell you if or when your tastes will change. You may find a few flavors and stick with those for a long time, no problem with that. Use what works for you. If, or when it does change, try something new. You might be surprised at what you like to vape. I certainly was. In the beginning I liked fruity flavors, still do, but the kinds of fruit has changed. Then, I went nuts over coffee flavors. Now, not so much. Then it was bakery flavors and so on. It's constantly changing even now, but I've found a few that I like consistently. For now. Don't worry that you're not on some schedule for changing flavors. Only you will know when or if it's time to change it up. Until then just enjoy what you're vaping.1 point

Your taste preferences seem to be kinda like your favorite color, taste in furnishings, life style ..... it is what it is and probably won't change much. Probably wander around looking at others, but come back to your personal comfort zone. Maybe with a few minor modifications, maybe not. Been vapn' over 6 montths and have tried a bunch of flavors, (cucumber/mint ... yow!) but keep coming back to my base ...... Captain Black with Black Cherry, and a strong Cappuchino with either carmel or vanilla. Have a number of flavors I hit occasionally just to break the monotony, but my regulars are always with me. I like the coffees, too so I intend to try an espresso with a back flavor. Putting together a DIY flavor assortment order so my venture into the flavor experiments won't be so expencive ....... $8.00 for a 10ml taste experiment doesn't sit too well with the pocket.1 point

Flavor progression
ChrisP reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
I started out on VapeDudes and loved a few of the first flavors I ordered. This was, of course, only compared to the flavors at the cigar shop at the mall as that was all I had tried. I do not like anything coffee, chocolate, dessert, nothing like that. I vaped VapeDudes Spearmint, Candy Cane, and Strawberry Fields almost exclusively for a while. I thought all their tobacco flavors sucked just being honest. Then I found Sweet-Vapes and they were a step above VapeDudes on their flavors in that I liked all of them I tried at least a little. I probably gave away 300ml of 10ml bottles of VapeDudes liquids I didn't like and only found a few I did. With sweet-vapes the ratio of good vs bad was WAY better. Their Traditional Tobacco was the best tobacco I ever tried. Not long after that I realized I was getting tired of the tobacco flavors. Probably the biggest eye opening experience for me with regards to flavors was our first forum organized tasting of "Unicorn Blood" from Fuzion and it was a whole new world. Taste is subjective, but their flavors blew my mind. Then a new shop opened in my area that has some great flavors and good people running it called Vintage Vapors and now my VapeDudes bottles are collecting dust. I now have a 5 liquid lineup that are my daily drivers: Unicorn Blood (Fuzion) Endless Summer (Fuzion) Dragons Tear (EC Blends) Zombified (Vintage Vapors) Apple Cinanna (Fuzion) My palate completely changed over the course of 6 months, well in a couple days it will be 6 months. Things happen, we get our tastebuds back, and I think it will constantly evolve. That's why I no longer buy bigger than 30ml bottles from anywhere lol.1 point -
For the longest time I was like you. Coffee, tobacco and dessert type flavors only. Occasionally, I would find a fruit flavor that was good the first time around, then blah. Recently my palate has changed and I am finding fruit flavors to be enjoyable for a good portion of my day. At the end of the day I still find myself wanting to vape my old flavors.1 point

First ECBlend order arrived :)
Tam reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
Again steeping is not "required" and many flavors from ECBlends, Fuzion, and VapeDudes are great right out of the bottle. I have never steeped a Fuzion flavor or a VapeDudes flavor that it really changed that much BUT ECblends Dragons Tear is great outside the bottle, but once I take the lid off to fill the first tank I leave it off the rest of the time until the bottle is empty and its cool how many flavor progressions and changes take place. It gets creamier tasting the longer it sits for me at least. I love it right out of the bottle, but it is the one flavor that I have steeped that actually changed any appreciable amount.1 point -
Basically all I vape is tobacco coffee flavors. Not real fond of the foofy fruity flavors.1 point

Cool I had Fuzion, and Vape Dudes on my list of places to try but it looks like Vapor Room will get added and probably leap frogged to the front of the line (can't beat free juice). I just realized that the free juices I got from ECB has 0 nicotine but thats okay its just to see if I want to buy the flavors. I've had dragons blood before and according to their menu that they included with my package dragons tear is just dragons blood with strawberry added so I'm sure that will be delicious too. I have the mind bender sitting in a tank right now (waiting for the wicks to saturate) like I said theres no nicotine so I'll be vaping it just for flavor so I hope its good *fingers crossed*. I'm going to hop on these other places website so I can start searching, who knows I'll probably end up ordering way more juice than I need but it seems like a good thing to have on hand just in case. I just tried the strawberry shortcake and I can say I'm not a fan but I'll let it steep for a few weeks and see if it gets any better, if not I'm sure I can find someone that would like it. I also have a kettle corn, sounded good when I ordered it but the smell is so strong that I haven't opened it yet (whole room smells like kettle corn) I'll let that one steep too and hope some of the smell goes away. Thanks for your input ~Drew~ EDIT: Just googled vapor room lol not what I was expecting to put in my vape but good to see they deliver. I have to remember to add "the" to vaporroom.com or you end up somewhere completely different.1 point

I don't think so but it might be for others. Our taste buds react to different juices so I can't say how it'll be for you. Luckily, EC Blends sells juices in 5 ml bottles for $2.50 or so -- depending on what you add on. That's a good way to try it to see if it's for you.1 point

SmokTech RSST Simple Leak Fix

@ Rixter Try http://www.hoosiervapes.com, they look to be .35cents. he also carry's an AGA-1 and 2 replacement parts bag but I am not sure that bag has the insulator part, but right beside it for the 35 cents appears to be same as in your photograph. shipping I have not checked on. I recently ordered from Hoosier and could not find the 510 to 510 connector on the site and made note of it in my comments and he sent me a free one. shipping went out the same day I ordered. prices were good here on most items. thanks for the tip on the rsst, I thought it was something I had done wrong cuz it did not leak the first time I used it lol1 point -

Emergency vaping help, please!
ChrisP reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
If you bought the CE4s from a shop there is no telling what is in them to be honest. So many people make copies of copies of Vision products like these. I personally think the KPT2 has a tighter draw than any other BCC clearo or tank I have used, almost too tight for me but the more I use it the more I like it. I just know almost everyone that vapes goes through the same progression. We start with CE4s and what is cheapest to see if we like it, then realize that they last about a week and are impossible to clean and change flavors in, then move on to a Top coil product with a changeable wick, but soon realize once the liquid level drops below the top of the coils you get dry hits a lot, then move on to plastic BCCs like the EVOD and the MT3S or T3S, then on to Glass like the Davides and KPTs. Hindsight being 20-20 I could have saved even more if I had done what I was advised to do, just get Spinners or a VW APV and some glass BCCs. I cannot even stand the thought of having to use a top coil anymore, but if I did, it would be the Kanger T2 also known as the Ego CC longwick clearomizer. The Veteran Vaper has them at a good price (About $5) and the coils there are about $2. I go through a lot of coils, because the BCC coils are only about $1 so when one tastes burned I clean it and put it aside in case of a supplly shortage or hard times and pop in a new one. I probably average a new coil every 4 tankfulls of liquid on most flavors. Some more, some less, but I would say that is about the average.1 point -
You most certainly need to graduate to the 'bottom coil clearos' and forget the rest. You will then just need to find the right juice consistency to use with them so they wick properly. I really think that is going to be as simple as that! I have recently purchased the 'Aspire BDC'... It's a bottom dual coil design... and they work really well. Good luck... and don't give up trying to find what works for you.1 point

I had the same experience with the CE clearos. I highly recommend you try out a EVOD on your Spinner. I use it all day at work and never get a burnt taste. I usually use a 70/30 mix in my EVOD. I do realize that the EVOD uses the same coils as what you put in your KPT, however I can only comment on my experience which has yielded great results. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/evod-mt-bcc-metal-bottom-coil-changeable/ ps.... Mysterious EVOD battery
Patricia reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
Exactly what Tam said. I also found with our T3S tanks that my wife still prefers and are all she will use, the bases can be finicky. I have several of these and I have seen a base not work at all, no matter what I do to it. Then I will take one of my extra bases, put the coil in, and use it and it works fine. Cleaned the one that wasnt working, put in a new coil, screw it into another tank and it will work fine lol. Thing is those things are so finicky, so mass produced, and quality control is lacking to say the least. Overall, though, I am convinced that Anyvape and Kanger produce the best tanks out there overall.1 point -
The first thing I would do is to take a look at the posts in your batteries. Are they both sticking up the same height? If so continue to step two. Take a look at the connection end of your EVODs. Are both the little round things in the center sticking out in the same amounts? If no to the battery, take a small screw driver or use something similar and carefully work the edges of the center post up. Do this a little at a time in a circular motion until it comes up. If one of the battery posts in you EVOD isn't sticking out as far as the other then take the one that's shortest and, using a pair of tweezers or needle nosed pliers, pull very gently out just a tiny bit. Try on battery. Hopefully, one of those solutions will work for you.1 point

As was done unto me, I have done unto others. My extremely religious mother required me to attend every youth function at her church and they were mostly held in the basement lounge, smoke filled my the priest (anglican) and the various adults participating. Then whilst the adults were cleaning up and we were waiting for our various rides we kids could sneak our own cigs. Fortunately I've long since found Richard Dawkins et al. I was always exposed to other's smoke at school by teachers, at friend's houses at any community activity etc. So I never saw any reason to not continue the practice as it sure didn't hurt me any. I've never curbed smoking because of others children students bosses pets ever. Only have the draconian smoking laws in the USA slowed me down at all. Fortunately I decided to leave the US after the voters elected Dan Quayle VP. Now I live where I can smoke in bars restaurants anywhere except government buildings, and even there they have places where the workers smoke and welcome me to join them. So as far as vaping is concerned, I still do the same. But on a rather weird note, my cat Jazz, never was bothered by smoking, in fact he seemed rather interested in it. Vaping, on the other hand, he doesn't trust. He quickly backs up when he sees the vapour coming out of my mouth, Maybe it reminds him of a dragon or something, but when ever I grab my equipment, he keeps his distance. The other cats and dogs are totally oblivious. Oh yeah, to finish my rant, just when I find something that actually makes not smoking totally painless and works so well unlike the patch gum anti depressants etc. it looks like the government will continue to be draconian and try to take away something that actually works, and works so well. I have stopped spending my tourist money in Singapore because they outlawed ecigs and I informed the tourist ministry of that decision and I'm totally sure they don't give a damn!1 point
