Vaping around Kids and Pets
Uma reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
When your kid begs you to stop smoking, there are not a lot of questions they ask. My son is thankful every day that I and my wife both are approaching 6 months tobacco free. He understands this is a much much safer substitute and based on studies I have read and independent research I feel completely comfortable vaping around him. It may not be "cheap" but its definitely cheaper than smoking. I am about $1200 to the good over the last 6 months all things considered. I kept track of every order in an email folder and did the math. My savings in my ticker are x2 plus some since my wife smoked more than I did and we both switched to vaping at the same time.1 point -

Thanks Troy. Guess I should just be thankful that it's only late at night when I'm having hard time. Its funny you mention scotch I have a bottle of good irish whiskey I've been nursing since my birthday so I had a little neat last night to convince me to sleep lol. I have been dowing a lot of juice though during the day. Not intentionally I guess my body just knew I needed it.1 point -
I got a few people into vaping
rcoe reacted to ebutler8808 for a topic
I've only been vaping a week and have already converted a friend who's now on her third day analog free and her husband is playing around some with hers and is considering making the switch. My dad has been a smoker since he was 8 (he's 57 now) and is total skeptic thinks it won't work and I will be back on the analogs in two months. So being the loving daughter I am I turned it into a bet. If by dec 1st I'm still analog free I get to break bad with his credit card and set him up with a kick butt starter kit and an upgraded kit for me plus a massive (and oh will it be) juice order so we can find him a perfect juice. I love my fathers inability to turn down a bet since he thinks hes never wrong (gotta love that irish blood). When I win you guys can help me shop!1 point -
I went to the semi local flea market yesterday in hopes of finding an e cigarette booth I'd heard someone talk about. All of his tanks were knock offs, however the ce4s seemed to be better than any legit ce4 I've seen. His juice though! I sampled every juice he had (was on the verge of over dosing on nicotine by the end of it since they all had nicotine in them, haha) and they were all pretty good. I didn't taste one single that was gross, some just didn't appeal as much as others. His prices seemed pretty decent for a local place (3 10mls for 20 or 7 each and 5 for no nic). I got to talking to him a bit and he said he mixes them all himself and takes requests for juice flavors. I finally found a tobacco one I like, called classic pipe tobacco. I also got a strawberry ice cream one and a aqua berry blast flavor (I don't taste any berries, just watermelon and bubblegum which is fine by me). The reason I liked it so much was because he didn't bash the other local places, was very kind, and his prices were definitely reasonable considering the quality of juice. My only gripe is, he uses a 80/20 pg/VG mix standard and some juices only come in certain levels of nicotine. Other than that, he's the best local place I've seen so far! His website is smokeless-u.com if anyone wants to check it out!1 point

I love it. The only modification I've made was to open up the air hole slightly using a dental pick because it was just a little too small. Other than that, it's been a real pleasure to use. You won't be sorry. I'm gonna be buying a couple more in different colors soon.1 point

I love it! They are peacefully rallying to take our constitution back! The biggest traffic jam in the USA!! Take your young ones out, they will be delighted to hear the truckers pull their horns for them at 10:04 am and pm. Yeh, one of the illegal to do things anymore, but not this weekend!! http://foxnewsinsider.com/2013/10/10/thousands-truckers-head-dc-ride-constitution-rally If the trucks don't run, we don't get our supplies. The stores hold enough supplies for about 3 days. Are you ready for a life of riots, chaos, murder, mayhem? Well, neither are the truckers, but if they can't afford to drive the trucks... This weekend is a heads up. Wake up America!!!! The Vets 1000 mile march is this weekend too. They are taking back their war memorials in every town, especially the major one. Lumberjacks from WA are joining! Everyone is joining!! The gov done forgot that truckers, loggers, and some from all working classes, are Vets too. I bet they'll remember now... Ride for the constitution at ridefortheconstitution.com They have live radio coverage too. (Goes empty here and there for an hour, for breaks, otherwise always on) http://www.spreaker.com/user/thepetesantillishow?utm_source=widget There are FB sites, news clippings, ... I'm just learning all this, due to a mad as hell hermit who has to buy a new EPA certified wood stove with ,05 decimals less smoke output from the one he has already. Crazy regulations.. Getting everyone distracted... To the point we have UNITED to speak up. Peacefully. Haha, the more I learn, the more hyped I get!1 point

Okay, you bring up a couple of questions, Prot. The chipset that the Vamo uses - since I've seen the KMax referred to as essentially a more expensive clone of the Vamo (and you pay for the pretty), I'm assuming the Kmax uses the same thing. But isn't that the same chipset that the Zmaxes use? Could the chipset itself be what is causing the problems? Does anyone who have a Vamo here use a Pro Tank (original or two) or a full sized Davide? Because there was a notation about the Vamo 5 (as all Vamo models and some other APVs) have with KPTs, but it didn't go into detail, or provide a workaround, and I have, well, FIVE KPT2s. Frankly, what I would LOVE to do is actually HOLD the prospective models in my hand. While hubby is gone tomorrow, I'll call up the two local stores that I'm not SURE of what they have in stock - Cloud 9 and the new one I haven't visited yet - and see what they have in stock other than the MVP 2 (although I THINK Cloud 9 may only have the MVP 1 in stock, but it will feel the same) and the other, but I think they have the Smoketek SID in stock (which I almost ended up getting instead of the Sigelei) and the MVP2, but I don't THINK they have the Innoken SVD in stock. Frankly, I'm pretty split between the SVD and the MVP, but I will need to know how the MVP feels in my hand, frankly, because sometimes I have issues in my hands. That and, well, since the batteries can't be replaced, the MVP's basically die when the batteries reach the end of their life, which I've heard can be as short as a year and half. With the MVP, even though it's better for a battery to be completely discharged (or discharged to the point where it can no longer be used) frequently, what I believe I'm going to have to do is set it up to charge every night, and use one of my original eGo 900 mah stick batteries when I go upstairs before I go to sleep, and when I get up in the middle of the night, and when I get up before I get downstairs, if I went the MVP route. If I go with the SVD, is there a lanyard that would fit with that? I know NOW that a Provari lanyard would have fit my Sigelei, but what about the SVD? Oh, and I'm sure I'll still be researching all weekend. It will take until at least Monday or Tuesday for DV to get my package, and she didn't say how long it would be before Eric would be able to test it (and it would require consistent use for a bit, just firing it up for five minutes won't necessarily bring out the problems).1 point

After speaking to my daughters respiratory specialist, my husband and I were told that vaping poses little to no dangers to her even with her breathing issues. (she was born premature and her lungs are still a little weak a year latter) So yes we both vape around the children.1 point
