New Brick and Mortar, fingers crossed

Hoping they do not suck as bad as every other one in my area. This one is called "Vintage Vapors" and has a theme like from the 40s and 50s. They carry their own line of liquids and something called "Tasty Troll". Going to stop by in a few after I close the dealership at 6 to check it out. Would be cool to have a local option as long as they are reasonable and not Richard Heads like the other two shops in my area. So far they have rave reviews on Facebook, we will see. They are literally on the 2.9mile commute I have back and forth to my dealership.2 points -

This might help with the size-look comparisons you are doing. A couple pics: Here is the Vamo V3 with all pieces (except top piece, I at first thought I needed to take this off to use the Ego connection and as you can see in other pics, it is not necessary) and an 18650 battery sitting next to a Vision Spinner 1300mah Here is just a shot of the Vamo V3 with a Davide Mini of Unicorn Blood And here is a "History of my vaping adventure" in pictures from where I started. Great for a size comparison. From right to left, Njoy King, Topaz bull%^$# kit from cigar store, Ego 400mah mini, EgoT 1000mah, Vision Spinner 1300MAH with KPT 2, and Vamo V3 with Davide Mini2 points -
Good Life Vapors
Proetus reacted to SteveNorcup for a topic
Hey everyone. First post, and a relatively new vaper (right phrase?) Today marks a month without a cigarette, since I picked up a pair of eGo batteries and some CE4 clearomizers from a local shop. I just upgraded to a couple of Kangar EVOD's and I really enjoy them, and I just placed my second order with Good Life Vapors. I can't say enough about these juices. The flavors are amazing, they have great substance, and subtle hues that make them irresistible. http://www.goodlifevapor.com/ I've had the following.... 9 2 5 Deadly Sin El Kamino OurYChai The Keys My goto is the El Kamino. It's wonderful, and it's become my 'all day vape'. They Keys is also amazing, a lime hit with a follow up of graham cracker and vanilla. The OurYChai is another good one. It just seems to get better with time. 925 is a great coffee flavor with a chocolate taste in there. Deadly sin... People rave about it. I'm so so on it. It's really sweet, almost like a muffin, but to each their own. Thanks for all the info I've gotten from the forums. Steve1 point -
I love it! They are peacefully rallying to take our constitution back! The biggest traffic jam in the USA!! Take your young ones out, they will be delighted to hear the truckers pull their horns for them at 10:04 am and pm. Yeh, one of the illegal to do things anymore, but not this weekend!! http://foxnewsinsider.com/2013/10/10/thousands-truckers-head-dc-ride-constitution-rally If the trucks don't run, we don't get our supplies. The stores hold enough supplies for about 3 days. Are you ready for a life of riots, chaos, murder, mayhem? Well, neither are the truckers, but if they can't afford to drive the trucks... This weekend is a heads up. Wake up America!!!! The Vets 1000 mile march is this weekend too. They are taking back their war memorials in every town, especially the major one. Lumberjacks from WA are joining! Everyone is joining!! The gov done forgot that truckers, loggers, and some from all working classes, are Vets too. I bet they'll remember now... Ride for the constitution at ridefortheconstitution.com They have live radio coverage too. (Goes empty here and there for an hour, for breaks, otherwise always on) http://www.spreaker.com/user/thepetesantillishow?utm_source=widget There are FB sites, news clippings, ... I'm just learning all this, due to a mad as hell hermit who has to buy a new EPA certified wood stove with ,05 decimals less smoke output from the one he has already. Crazy regulations.. Getting everyone distracted... To the point we have UNITED to speak up. Peacefully. Haha, the more I learn, the more hyped I get!1 point

Seems to me, everything done on such a large scale as this e-cig decision is driven or influenced by $$$$$$$$. The FDA, big pharma, and tobacco companies are all a bunch of two-faced liars. They all claim to have "our" best interests at heart. Well, I say BS!!! I'm sick 'n tired of being micromanaged........and lied to "for my own good". I think we're all adults and can make up our own mind. We don't need the FDA getting so deep in this. If they want to make sure everything is done above board and with quality materials, well, ok. When they start making noise about regulating along the lines of tobacco.......No Way!! It's all about the tax revenue under the quise of a healthy product. Well, I'm here to tell ya, e-cigs work....at least for me. Might be a slight learning curve, but so what? I bought my first eGo setup one day and that day was the last cigarette I've smoked - in 50 years. I'm tired of govt sticking their nose into every segment of my life. I don't take one thing from the govt......and don't expect any. When I retire in a couple years I'll take back what I've been paying for for decades. Then I'll sign up for VA, which I also earned. The FDA is not interested in my well being. They're all about protecting the companies that send the lobbysts to "help" make the decisions, and protecting their "phony baloney jobs". Where's all those tax dollars the states are collecting from cigarette sales going.....some sick TV ads? On one hand the states say, publicly, the taxes on cigs are all about giving cig smokers incentive to quit. But, when enough people quit or find some other alternative, the politicians start crying about all the lost tax revenue. Well, which is it.......incentive, or tax revenue? I think we all can read between the lines. Same for e-cigs. I'm all about making things safe, but I believe, for the most part, the marketplace works pretty good. And, with the internet superighway and forums like this one, something not right won't last very long. Sounds harsh, and probably is, but in my opinion, if someone's dumb/gullible enough to try something without proper caution and/or research, they probably don't belong in the gene pool, anyway. Case in point.....meth/heavy drug users. I know, not relevant. Just an example. I don't know what we can do, but I'm keepiing my eyes and ears open. All I can think of right now is call your representatives and senators and voice your opinion. As a whole, I'd think we have a pretty loud voice. The optimist in me says we have a chance.....the pessimist in me says the politician hacks/pricks are going to do what's in their best interest. Just my opiion....... I could be wrong.1 point

Isopropyl Alcohol
Tam reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
Maybe just soaking the coils in water for a few days, swishing them around and changing the water each day might be just as effective at getting the old flavor out. I am not sure if you can tell, but I am pretty anal about stuff like this. I want to know and learn everything there is to know and sometimes I get to the point of being redundant.1 point -
Isopropyl Alcohol
bcartervol98 reacted to Bebop for a topic
As llong as you are rinsing after soaking it's fine. But it is technically a solvent. Soaking for a few minutes will yield about all of its benefit so it might be overkill to soak longer than that. While it is pretty mild as solvents go it is harder on plastics than metals. It can make plastics brittle (as well as o-rings) causing cracking. My opinion is it's relatively safe if rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry. Any residues left are of insignificant quantity to cause harm That being said I dont do it. I just dont think it's necessary as normally rinsing with filtered water does enough for me1 point -

Mini Pro Tanks, Evods, O-Rings, oh my!
spydre reacted to iheartvape for a topic
I had this issue when rinsing off my pt2. It was simple to see where it went and put back in, my wife however lost hers without noticing it, and wasted a whole tank of juice before she told me and I was able to find out why and get her a new o ring in there.1 point -
O-ring replacements
wizard46304 reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
Ok not very "fix it" oriented but one of my Davide minis lost an oring. It's not lost as much as broken, might be a better way to put it. It's the one that sits at the bottom of the threads at the top of the center post that the coil slides into on the end that screws into the top part that holds the tank and the drip tip. Anyone have an idea about finding a replacement? Or is this one just "spare parts" now? Lol.1 point -
Welcome! Like tam said about cleaning to get rid of gurgling. Storing any extra liquid in a cool dark place helps preserve the liquid. I always have several flavors close at hand. I like 3 ml bottles for daily use and keep the rest in a cool space. Sorry no help with rebuild abeles or liquid. All of my liquids are DIY. As far as parts....backups, backups, backups1 point

Tobacco flavor juice?

ok. I bought 10 different tobacco flavors from sweet vapes. Maybe I will like one of them. If not, I will try eblends. Thanks for all your help. I am going to miss my silver leaf from pure smoker.1 point -

CE4s are a disposable product and not readily serviced, and usually last for less than a month. If they are tasting burnt its time to pitch. If he enjoys vaping time to upgrade to a unit that allows coil replacement..vivi novas, Kanger products, Davide products the list is long....1 point

Upgrading System Questions
Tam reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
I am vaping about 3ml a day and get about 2 days out of my AW IMR 18650s, a little less from the EFest 18650s. Provari is considered a Top of the Line BUT is only VV, doesnt have a VW feature. This is the feature that made me get an APV in the first place, otherwise I would still be using Vision Spinners. There are lots of APVs that are in the $50-$60 range that are good units. Tesla, Vamo, Itaste SVD, and plenty others. I love my Vamo V3. Not even thinking about anything else, and if it broke today, I would buy another one. But to each their own, of all those in the same price range I think the major difference is in the aesthetics more than the functionality. I know nothing of Sigelei.1 point -
Well... since you only actually vape ~2 mils a day... I would think that a high quality 18490/500 battery should last you all day. I know that the 'Orbtronic 10 amp/High Drain' 18650 that I recently bought blows the AW 18650/2000MaH batts away! One of them actually lasts me all day now in my Provari using a HH 357 and vaping a lot more than 2 mils a day ! So just make sure you are using the best battery for your setup and I bet you could make it happen.1 point

The biggest problem with any atomizer not being able to fire on a mod is overtightening. New vapers have a tendency to crank down atty's onto their devices. It doesn't even have to be snug, just screw down until you get a little resistance and it's down. The Vamo was very susceptible to pushing the center pin down causing no connectivity, i can imagine most any mod can have this problem. My opinions regarding the vamo. It is a good starting mod. It's heavy. If you can deal with the 33mhz chipset (rattlesnake sound) great! Personally, i can't stand it. To me it gave an inconsistent vape, due to the pulsing, no matter how fast it happens. I noticed a humongous difference when i went past the Vamo. If i was purchasing one of the mods you have listed it would be the MVP, it can go all day on a charge, has 510 and ego threads, can vape while charging if needed. MVP 2 has variable wattage and an ohm checking ability as well. All around a solid device. However if you really want to go with replaceable batteries i would go with the SVD. I progressed from my vamo to the svd. It is capable of all 3 types of batteries as it is telescoping. variable voltage/wattage etc all the same bells and whistles. It is lighter then the vamo as well. It also has the cool distinction of looking like a lightsaber! Can't lose with that! Enjoy your choice whichever it is.1 point

Then you might like it...I don't. The draw is way to tight! Gotta suck harder than a ten dollar hooker at a Shriner convention! And it doesn't leak on the outside, but it does inside...seems messy. But slick visually, but that's nt good enough to drive it daily1 point
