Fixing The Dreaded Battery That Won’T Charge
FoxOfTheEast reacted to Christopher for a topic
It’s happened to all of us at some point. You pull the dead battery out of your favorite mod, you place it into your charger and the light turns green. Wait, green light? WTH it’s dead! Why is the green light on? Stupid Chinese crap charger, right? No, it’s probably not the charger. It’s the protection circuit in the battery. Some of these batteries are pricey and replacing them can take a toll on your wallet. Here’s what probably happened… Most good batteries come with built in protection. When the battery is drained too low the safety circuit kicks in to protect the battery and more so you, from any damage. Is there a way to fix the battery? Yes, sometimes. The the following trick doesn’t always work but has saved me countless headaches. 1. Grab another battery of equal size and voltage (if you don’t have another, grab a 9 volt battery) 2. Connect the positive and negative ends of both batteries (The second battery must be fully charged in order to repair the defective battery) 3. Hold for about 3-4 seconds. NOTE: Positive to Positive, Negative to Negative! Essentially you’re “jumping” the battery. It should cause the protection circuit to “reset”. Place your defective battery back on the charger and wallah, red light I hope this helps some of you save a couple bucks and drive a little extra life out of those mod batteries. -Chris1 point -
I love it! They are peacefully rallying to take our constitution back! The biggest traffic jam in the USA!! Take your young ones out, they will be delighted to hear the truckers pull their horns for them at 10:04 am and pm. Yeh, one of the illegal to do things anymore, but not this weekend!! http://foxnewsinsider.com/2013/10/10/thousands-truckers-head-dc-ride-constitution-rally If the trucks don't run, we don't get our supplies. The stores hold enough supplies for about 3 days. Are you ready for a life of riots, chaos, murder, mayhem? Well, neither are the truckers, but if they can't afford to drive the trucks... This weekend is a heads up. Wake up America!!!! The Vets 1000 mile march is this weekend too. They are taking back their war memorials in every town, especially the major one. Lumberjacks from WA are joining! Everyone is joining!! The gov done forgot that truckers, loggers, and some from all working classes, are Vets too. I bet they'll remember now... Ride for the constitution at ridefortheconstitution.com They have live radio coverage too. (Goes empty here and there for an hour, for breaks, otherwise always on) http://www.spreaker.com/user/thepetesantillishow?utm_source=widget There are FB sites, news clippings, ... I'm just learning all this, due to a mad as hell hermit who has to buy a new EPA certified wood stove with ,05 decimals less smoke output from the one he has already. Crazy regulations.. Getting everyone distracted... To the point we have UNITED to speak up. Peacefully. Haha, the more I learn, the more hyped I get!1 point

I wish I was closer to D.C., if I was I would have my guys out there too! But we will have to settle with the 10:04 horn blasts and rattle some windows in the Puget Sound. Something has to be done with the over regulating that the government is doing to the industry... some of it is good, but a lot of it is not. One of the things that they are talking about is requiring all drivers that have a BMI over 35 be required to take a sleep study to see if they have any form of apnea... if they do, their CDL is yanked regardless of whether they are under treatment and it is under control... have seen most truck drivers? That would affect the entire industry... and as far as the cost involved, the Trucking Association did a study and for the companies to perform these tests would result in costs over 1.5 Billion Dollars industry wide. I run a small operation and I would have to shell out over $20,000 just to test my guys... 2 of my guys have sleep apnea and are under treatment so it does not effect them, but under the proposed law they would lose their livelihood.1 point

You should fancy trying a 'HH357' atty out and do some drippin'! The flavor isn't even close when compared to any BCC device I have. Yes... the tanks are a bit easier maybe to use... but the trade-off isn't worth it to me. I'm more happy with the crazy flavor from a high quality dripping atomizer then the ease of use with a clearo tank I guess. To each their own. But at least if you had a regular 510 atty you could do some testing and see of you have different results with it versus your clearos. Just a thought.1 point

The biggest problem with any atomizer not being able to fire on a mod is overtightening. New vapers have a tendency to crank down atty's onto their devices. It doesn't even have to be snug, just screw down until you get a little resistance and it's down. The Vamo was very susceptible to pushing the center pin down causing no connectivity, i can imagine most any mod can have this problem. My opinions regarding the vamo. It is a good starting mod. It's heavy. If you can deal with the 33mhz chipset (rattlesnake sound) great! Personally, i can't stand it. To me it gave an inconsistent vape, due to the pulsing, no matter how fast it happens. I noticed a humongous difference when i went past the Vamo. If i was purchasing one of the mods you have listed it would be the MVP, it can go all day on a charge, has 510 and ego threads, can vape while charging if needed. MVP 2 has variable wattage and an ohm checking ability as well. All around a solid device. However if you really want to go with replaceable batteries i would go with the SVD. I progressed from my vamo to the svd. It is capable of all 3 types of batteries as it is telescoping. variable voltage/wattage etc all the same bells and whistles. It is lighter then the vamo as well. It also has the cool distinction of looking like a lightsaber! Can't lose with that! Enjoy your choice whichever it is.1 point
