I have to stick up for my local B&M. They are not all bad. I happily pay $30 for 3-15ml bottles of the most vapable stuff I've ever encountered. The gear is over priced but is it unfair? Not really, IMO. Sure, I buy mostly on line but getting out and helping a B&M that's worthy is good too.3 points

My profile pic gets changed when I change Facebook ....Usually for their Birthdays! Thats our third child, Crockett the Rocket...he's a Rat Terrier, but a big one! He was owned by our neighbor Pete, who was in the Army Reserves, and got called up to Afganistan, when Crock was just a pup, and asked us to keep him until his return, as Crock was already freinds with our bunch, Max and Mattie the Toy Fox Terriers ( siblings now 14!) and Rockoman a medium sized Jack-Rat Terrier cross, the same age as Crocky (now 9) Yes four terriers...don't ever try this at home, you wont ever be in charge again!! Pete gave his life in Afganistan, his parents came to empty and sell his house, and we offered to keep Crockett, they didn't even know he had a dog, and they were so low, it seemed to take another burden off their shoulders. It's been several years now, but we still take Crockett by himself ( doesn't happen often unless it's to the Dr.) downtown to watch the parade on Veterans Day..3 points

For some reason the B&M stores near me seem to be a little more aligned with on-line pricing. Def not twice as much but certaiinly a premium is paid in store. From what I see the main traffic is new people and the benefit is good customer service. If you don't have that , you won't survive long. Once the noobies get over the learning curve, know what they like, know what they want, I'm sure they migrate to more on line service. As long as you have the new guys coming in I think you can do alright. And, I have to say, I do enjoy going in and seeing and holding the gear. On occasion I will buy something on the spot even if it means paying 20-30% more (a rough average). The key is do I enjoy being there? Do I walk away happy? I bought my first RDA for $16 at a B&M, something I now know I can get on-line for $10-$12. But, I saw it, touched it, learned how to use it and watched how to rebuild it. It was fun. And I went home and dripped some fresh juice I had taste tested. It was great.1 point -

Or if your local B&M has the same products for a comparable price. I don't mind spending a buck or two more on something, after you figure in the shipping cost, it's actually cheaper sometimes.1 point

Evics are easy, I have one, original body is wearing off tho, okay there are two movements in the ring long and short, shorts change levels, long change options. Run it on watts try 6.5 to 7.5 watts at 2.5ohm. It's less than a new phone to catch on to.....enjoy! I gonna get a black body kit someday ...1 point

Medic's Caramel Vanilla. *dies* OMG, this is soooo good. I'm sure it's even better since I'm direct dripping into an HH.357 atomizer. I really want to try the Raspberry poundcake and Banilla Cream Pie but I just can't put down the caramel vanilla yet. Great job, Medic!1 point

You're a good man, Troy. Crockett is very lucky that he now has a forever home with you and your family. Pete made a good choice when he chose you.1 point

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
tzymroz2013 reacted to Tam for a topic
Okay, so I finally took the plunge. Went to my local B&M and got a stainless steel Evic starter kit, the matte black replacement body, two 18650 B 3400 mAh batteries, the Nitecore Intellicharger i4 battery charger and a 5-pack of 1.8 ohm KPT coils as a late birthday present to myself. When I got home I found my package of juices from Medic. Yay! All in all, it's a very good Friday. Now, I just gotta go through this novel that they call a "users' manual" to figure out how to work this Evic. Can't wait until my batteries get a full charge to give it a go.1 point -
Please provide manufacturer links to substantiate. I'm sorry if you feel I come off snippy but misinformation only serves to heighten misplaced hysteria. I first became involved in electronics about 50 years ago when I was a kid. As someone else posted, the AC adapter is comprised of transformer circuitry to step the voltage down and a rectifier circuit to convert alternating current to direct current. It is the charger circuity that provides any level of protection and that circuitry is in the charger, not the AC adapter. You mentioned that you now only sell high quality charging equipment. You might want to re-read my original post.1 point

DEBOP 12 Thank you for that review! Of course I say thank you because it was positive Can I beg your indulgence to review my next novel (if I ever finish it)? Sheepdog, I was 19 in 1971 and you're so right all things were possible. Amazing how powerful memories of those times are. I guess we were on opposite sides of the fence then. I consider myself a "Woodstock Era Veteran" I guess we hippie pinko commies were spending our paltry $ on bongs instead of cigar accessories which gave us an excuse to find an excuse for biting Nice to know we are now brothers in vaping. I hope your breathing issues improve with time. I see we've been off the cigs about the same amount of time and my lungs seem to improve in baby steps. I've never gotten diagnosed cuz I live in a third world (oops sorry developing) nation and here real men just suck it up. I'm totally sure my lungs are COPD saturated after almost 50 years of 2 packs a day But it has gotten much better and I expect that to continue.1 point

One of the downfalls to tanks and clearomisers is that really is nothing to hold the liquid in them for extended periods of time. I would say they should be drained when not in use for a few days and when filled the liquid will run out wherever it can given enough time, liquid tries to seek its own level. When in use we vape away the liquid before it has a chance to run out.1 point

Subject: The urine sample The urine sample One time I got sick and landed in hospital. There was this one nurse that just drove me crazy. Every time she came in, she would talk to me like I was a little child. She would say in a patronizing tone of voice, “And how are we doing this morning?” Or “Are we ready for a bath?” or “Are we hungry?” I had had enough of this particular nurse. One day at breakfast, I took the apple juice off the tray and put it in my bedside stand. Later I was given a urine sample bottle to fill for testing. So you know where the juice went! The nurse came in a while later, picked up the urine sample bottle, looked at it and said, “My, my, it seems we are a little cloudy today.” At this, I snatched the bottle out of her hand, popped off the top, and gulped it down, saying, “Well, I'll run it through again. Maybe I can filter it better this time!” The nurse fainted... I just smiled. DON'T MESS WITH OLD MEN1 point

After my $100 "buy in" I thought I was good to go for a while... Nope! Got a nice order on the way and have been working up a great story to keep me out of the dog house. Already have my eye on some other goodies that I can't live without...1 point
