  1. Just as the subject line says, I just finished wrapping my very first coil. Did a 5/4 wrap with NiChrome wire (no clue about the gauge other than to say it's very fine). Put it onto my Vision Eternity RDA after priming the wick with a little juice, added around 30 drops, waited a bit and...nothing. Put it aside thinking the wick needed more time to soak up the juice. Pick it up a little while later and I get this tiny little wisp of vapor and a little gurgling. How disappointing. I must've done something wrong. *sighs* My eye just happened to catch the bottom of the Spinner and...wait for it...it's at 3.3 volts. Turn the volts up to 4.3 and guess what? I'm now surrounded in lovely clouds of vapor and the flavor! OMG. Next time I think I'll try using a needle when I wrap the coil. This time I just pinched the wick and went for it. So much for being exact, huh? Still, I'm thrilled with my first attempt.

    Tricks of the trade?

I ship mine back to the original manufacturer who then rebuilds it and sends it back for a very reasonable fee.

  5. As a new vaper I was looking for a good beginner mod so I got the mvp v1 and I loved it I didn't need all the features it came with but it was good to know they were there if I needed them but the only thing I didn't like it didn't have a ohm meter built in like most mods but I could deal with it I used it a lot and loved it then two months later the mvp v2 arrived and I was excited to hear it is vv and vw with a ohm meter it goes from 3.3v to 5 and 6w to 11 it works well some more experienced vapers may not be impressed with it but I think it is a good device so far and it is a good mod for beginners to I wish it went to 6v and 15w but that's ok its all metal and seems to be well made and the battery life is amazing.

    Complete Noobie.

Bang!!! Pulled the trigger and ordered that kit and a couple of extra clearomizers (went with the 2.2 ohm model for the extras) and ordered 8 extra coils (4 x 1.8 ohm and 4 x 2.2 ohm for the respective clearomizers). Along with three bottles of e-liquid. Black diamond, spearmint and pina colada (had to try a fruit flavor). Cost about $120.00 but whats that in comparison to $6.00+ a pack for smokes here in Michigan. I am hoping to stick around and get a lot of good info from you folks. I'll keep you posted on how everything goes. Hopefully they will ship out fast. Last weekend smoking the stinky's!!

  13. I haven't really been buying much other than juices the last few months, my daughter's getting married next month so any "extra" money has been going to that. Two weeks ago, I bought a 1300 mAh rainbow Vision Spinner and a 650 mAh pink and white sparkle eGo batt from TheVaporGirl. I figured I needed something fancy and flashy to match all the fancy and flashy things at the wedding and reception! Yesterday, I went to eCigsPlus to order some of one of my all time favorite juices, their Fresh Vapor Pina Colada, and a 2500 mAh iTaste MVP VV kit just JUMPED in my cart! It was amazing. I had no control over it at all! lol Well, for some reason the iTaste MVP had been calling my name for months, despite the fact that I probably won't even understand how to use all the bells and whistles it has! I'd been following the prices from different vendors and was surprised that eCigsPlus had theirs for only $39! I took that as a sign I had to have it! Now anxiously hanging out at the mailbox....

  14. No problem bro. I just wanted to make sure, but didn't feel the need to post something that had already been posted. Next time I do a step-by-step tutorial, I won't leave anything out. Your thread deserves the redirect though, as you did an awesome job explaining the process in detail.

  15. I would never object to someone posting as much info on new techniques as they can...this place is all about learning and sharing. I found out about how to rebuild from someone else, added a twist or two of my own, and then posted what I've learned, so you won't be stepping on my toes by doing the same.

  16. Read B Carter's slog blog on starter kits...it's spot on...no need to spend on a vamo till he's on board..

  17. Just dry burned my davide head to clean it and decided to put cotton over the silica wickwd coil to see what happened. I am blowing out clouds! !!!! I never expected a cotton ball to be the answer. Much more flavor too. I may take the silica out later and put in another cotton strand. Thanks for all the info rixter.

  18. Yes, I would've done a more thorough step-by-step, but then I might have stepped on Rixters toes. He explained it in perfect detail, so please refer to his PINNED post for the complete rebuilding process. Vape On!

  21. We would need a bit more detail of your rebuild to troubleshoot your problem. You could be getting a hotspot in your coil build. That is usually what can cause a burnt taste.

  24. You really need to try another variable voltage battery. It makes a difference in so many juices. My Twist is...okay, but I love my Spinners.
