    Burnt out?

When I'm done dry burning bottom coils, I add a drop of liquid on the coil and a drop on the flavor wick to prime it for use.

  5. Here's a hastily compiled tutorial (with pictures) to show you how to rebuild the heads for KPTs, EVODs, and various other BCC (bottom coil changeable) tanks. In this tutorial, I will be making a 4/3 wrap of 32g Kanthal A-1 around a 3.5mm silica wick to achieve a 1.8Ω coil. Break everything down to this point (just start pullin' stuff apart...you'll figure it out ). Coil some Kanthal around a silica wick using a sewing needle as a support. Place both leads through the housing until the wick and needle are as shown. Bend one lead to the side, thread the bottom grommet onto the other lead, and slip it into the bottom of the housing. Bend the other lead (the one you just threaded through the grommet) to the side and slide the bottom pin into the grommet. Bend the excess leads of Kanthal back and forth (really fast) until they break off flush with the head. Remove the needle. Replace the top stem. Trim off the excess silica (I use Chinese nail clippers). Replace the cup seal. All you have to do now is install your freshly rebuilt head into your BCC tank's base and vape on! Hope this was helpful...it works for me. Oh, yeah...I almost forgot...always check your new rebuilds with a meter before using it!!!

    Help!

Welcome to VT! Throat hits are different for everyone. A lot depends on the equipment your using, and the rest is the juice. Try different flavors and get a ego twist or vision spinner. You can crank up the volts and get a better vape? Or jump into APVs

    Burnt out?

I usually just take 3 or 4 hard power-off draws from the tank to pull juice in and saturate the wicks.

  14. Do they have to be Chinese nail clippers? I'm thinking a pair of full jaw cuticle nippers might also work there. Anyway, great pic tutorial, Rix. This will make my foray into coil rebuilding that much easier. Thanks!

    Whatcha Vaping?

Tam the Orangezilla will surprise you. The first taste is so much different than the next. It took me a quarter tank to decide I love it. If I went off the first two or three draws I would have said it wasn't for me. Liquid is so weird how the flavor transforms even from the first draw off a tank to the 10th draw. I love it.

  17. Yeah, each additional wrap will add just a little more resistance...trial and error is all I can say about that. You can wrap as close as you'd like as long as the wraps aren't touching each other. They work a heck of a lot better than they do coming out of the box, too. By the way, I just got finished taking some step by step pictures of the entire rebouilding process from start to finish, so I'll be posting a pictorial tutorial shortly. I'll provide a link in this thread when I've finished it.

  18. 50c is what, about 120F? That's not a bad temp for 10 minutes or so. Over that time frame it can do some odd stuff to some juice. I've got a blueberry muffin recipe that sat in a car at about that temp for a whole day, it became a bitter caramel taste. And dark, darn near black. Nasty. It actually didn't have any impact on the Cuban cigar juice that was there too. You never know until you know...

  21. Dry mouth can be an effect of how the juice is mixed, depending on where you buy it and what flavors you like. Tobacco flavors effect me this way the most. I've switched to flavors with menthol or citrus and it helped a lot. E-Juice is comprised of 2 "base" food grade liquids, Propylene glycol and Vegetable Glycerin. In my opionion the best mix for new users is 50/50. Its less harsh on your throat. Some companies do change the ratios in order to achieve a diff result. which is perfectly safe but can ruin your vaping experience if not done correctly. Also check your expiration dates on your juices, they do have a shelf life and its important to use fresh juice. If you shop at a local retailer, let them know what your experiencing they may have a better flavor/mix that will help. Don't Give Up! Try some diff. Juices and give them a chance if you try one and "kinda like it" get small bottle and vape it for a week the flavors tend to warm to yah after a while. Just a side note.....not sure what your hardware is but cheap starter kits can cause a bad experience, don't be afraid to upgrade a little. Hope this helps!

  22. Have you explored any other options besides the vamo, I currently use the "Sigelei V3 Flat Top Telescoping", Its a one button Mod But has all the features plus more, The damn thing is built like a tank and can fit several sizes of batteries. The kit is a little more money but you get everything you need to start vaping! I'll be honest, my company sells them and here is the link, http://www.advancednictech.com/product-p/sig-zv3-t.htm but I'm not here to advertise I just wanna help and get to know my fellow vapors. There is a lot of companies that sell them though so look around and find the price and deal that fits. Be careful If you buy the Vamo....there is a ton of copies and a very big difference in quality! I've tried 5 "vamos" and only stood behind 1 I know I really love mine and I have a lot of choices at my finger tips and this mod is my best bud, I always come back to it!

  25. Well I stopped by the Vape shop today and picked up a couple things and was talking with the owner about my frustrations on the KPT2 and he gave me a new coil for free and told me to try it again and been vaping on it for a few hours and it seems to be working pretty good so far and I'm loving it

  26. They were fairly quick to respond to my email, but they said that if I want them to ship in boxes, that I have to specify that in the comment box for the order. I will not be buying anything more from them. Ever.

  27. I think that is the site that straight up says on the bottom of the replacement glass "we cannot be responsible for items broken in transit " UH YES YOU F- N CAN ! Id always pay them by credit card so If they do send you something that breaks you can dispute the charges -that will get their mind right ! edit - Nope I was wrong my bad its got vapes that had the disclaimer cut and pasted from the verbiage ; Kanger Pro Tank II Replacement Glass Tube - BLUE $2.95 This is the CLEAR replacement tube for the Kanger Pro Tank II. These will be packed in bubble securely. We cannot be responsible if they are crushed or cracked in shipment. We cannot replace, so please be aware of this when ordering. We will pack them conscientiously and check/inspect them before sending! They will come in a small Kanger branded box then we will put them individually in bubble wrap, and fold over for good heavy protection.
