    CASAA

Illinois member. Haven't been around in a while, but I just stopped in to mention that I just received an email from CASAA announcing a 2013 e-cig survey. I'm no statistics or survey expert, but it was well put-together and sounds like a step forward in getting truthful e-cig information out to the public, directly from e-cig users. Survey link: http://fluidsurveys.com/surveys/casaa-Z/e-cigarette-use/ ECF post: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/457823-call-action-please-participate-casaa-e-cigarette-consumer-survey-today.html

  2. I noticed this question was on the CASAA Questionnaire and it got me thinking about the question. I smoked around my son in the sense that if we were outside, on the boat, on the deck at home, or in a vehicle with my window down going down the road if I am being completely honest. The only place we smoked in our home was our basement bathroom where I installed a high power vent fan to vent it out. Now that I vape, I pretty much vape anywhere I want. My question is: What precaution if any do you take with regard to vaping around kids and or pets? I never would have smoked in the same inside room as my son nor would we sit in smoking sections in restaurants if they were inside. I do not follow the same guidelines with vaping and pretty much vape anywhere that someone doesn't ask me to stop (hasnt happened yet anywhere). Just curious.

    CASAA

I'm pleased to announce that I just became a member of CASAA and will donate hopefully soon. I'm must admit though that I was shocked to see that there were only 5000* members. Really? That can't be right or am I missing something? With this industry picking up as it is and as popular that ecigs are in general how can those numbers right? Either way I want my voice to be heard if it comes down to the Government trying to take away another one of my freedoms. It would be nice for a poll to see how many members of vaportalk are actual members. DG

  4. Hello all! My name is Michelle and I was a pack a day smoker for the last 20 years. Have tried everything (except the Chantix cuz I am not real big on pharms) and always went back to analogs. Then I heard of the awesomely wonderful world of vaping and I love it! I am still very new so I have been trying every flavor I can get my hands on. I love that my teeth are now much whiter (huge coffee drinker too) and that I get to enjoy the smell of my shampoo, perfume, lotion, etc. I cannot believe how gross I must have smelled before. I never smoked in my house and rarely in the car but I now know what others had to endure when I would walk into a room or give someone a hug (much less a kiss...ugh, nasty). So with all that said, hello and I want to thank whomever created ths forum and all of the great advice, news and expertise everyone has shared! Looking forward to many many years of vaping, learning and chatting!

Thanks for the tip! Vanilla sounds like it'd be amazing with coffee. I'll give it a shot for sure.

  7. Ron those are great kits. I get a lot if stuff from Sweet-Vapes too. The selection is great on most things and Chuck and Dayna are top notch! If I had it to do over again I would have gotten the spinner kit. I have 4 spinners now but not everyone likes VV. My wife still prefers the designer batteries from Sweet-Vapes that run at 4.2v all the time and the original 1000mah we got in the VapeDudes starter kits. I took her two spinners, got her 3 bedazzled ones, and my 1000mah are backups to my backups. VV is key IMO.

So...either of you boys have a single brother in my neck of the woods? I tend to make more money then my boyfriends over the years. Really though, my boyfriend is a good guy. He spoils me when he can.

  13. In most cases it's usually when the draw gets too tight, it's usually more airy and open on a new coil. And if if didn't pop and blow out, don't throw it out. A hot water bath with an alcohol rinse, and I do another hot water bath, and a couple days to dry, and they work like new, 3-4-6 times, depending on the juice....YMMV....

  14. If enough members were interested we'd be happy to bring it back. Funnily enough we were just talking about this in the VIP forum. Middle man here; This is exactly the reason we did away with it. And no, directing traffic out of the forum is not ok, especially with only 1 post contributed.

  18. My mail person is infinitely grateful that I've switched from books to vaping gear; it's much lighter. The books are now all ebooks so delivery is faster. Win/win all around.

    For the guys

I am honest with my wife about how much I spend lol. Its not a big deal though, I can justify anything. At one time I had her convinced we NEEDED 3 boats. In turn she is honest when she drops $300 on perfume on a whim. I suffer chronic short term memory loss and cannot lie well, it always bites me in the ***. Truth requires no memory lol, its always the same.

  20. My brother did the tunnel rat thing with the 173rd Airborne. Flashlight in one hand, .45 in the other. I remember a snapshot from one of the undeveloped instamatic film carts he sent home with him kneeling behind a blindfolded vc kid he pulled out of one. My reading over the years has tended towards non-fiction military history kind of stuff, usually WWII or Civil War.But I've read a lot of great fiction and sci-fi too. Some of my favorite fiction works were by Michener, Ludlum and H.G. Wells. Have also read a lot of stuff by little known authors that imo shouldn't have remained little known. I used to tell people that books were the best movies ever made. They play silently but vividly inside your head, on demand, no special effects required.

  21. The bottom line is, the government is losing money from all of us not buying analogs anymore and they have to find someway to make up that money. They didn't tax cigarettes so high because they want us off of them, but because we are addicted to them and they knew we'd pay. I'm sure if the government could find a way to do it they'd tax each and everyone of us for breathing.
