  2. I have passed enough things around in my life it doesnt bother me at all to let someone take a draw off mine. They usually cough their heads off for some reason. That never happened to me when I started.

I have a fishing tackle box I keep all mu stuff in at home. It has steadily grown, and I keep it in the basement where it is cool. It contains all my liquids in the bottom and then all the accessories in the slotted drawers. Actually works great and I can keep my different stuff in different areas and when I go on an extended trip out of town or a boat trip down the river, the whole case goes with me.

  4. My HH.357 2Ω Long Barrel Hybrid 510 Atomizer from Avid Vaper just arrived in today's mail. This is one that I've been anxiously awaiting because...well, because it's an HH.357 drip atty! I've been wanting to try one for over a year now...I just didn't want to spend over $25 (shipped) on a single atomizer, but after seeing that they weren't just a flash in the pan (here today, gone tomorrow) I decided that now was the time, so I bought one. I followed the instructions Avid Vaper provided on their product page to the tee, and I can tell you that this is the best performing atomizer I've ever tried. I've used quite a few different atties since I started vaping, but the taste of my juice is definitely better by far in this one than in any of the others. The taste and vapor production at 8 watts is on par with a well set up RBA. Now I see what all the hype was about. I've heard that these last a really long time, too...I'm hoping for at least six months with proper care. My last atty, an Empire Mods 1.5Ω Premium Bridge Free LR901, lasted about 7½ months, and cost $7.49 + shipping. It was a great performer, too...just not as good as the HH.357. The taste is pretty incredible. I still love my RBAs, but they have to be set up properly to really shine. If money's not a concern and you want the best vape you can get right out of the package, the HH.357 is what you want.

That's exactly where I plan on using mine. I'm not ready to let my better half know that I spent $45 on a battery. She just wouldn't understand.

  6. You are going through nicotine detox. We all did. Its nothing more than that. If the liquid tasted good and all of a sudden doesnt its because as your tastebuds heal things taste differently. Your taste for liquids will change as well. Example when I first started all I wanted was a tobacco flavor. Now I only vape it because it goes good with whiskey lol. I never smoked a menthol cig in my life, and when I first tried Spearmint I thought it was vile. Now is is one of the three flavors I switch throughout the day. The whole "PG Allergy" thing gets overplayed as much as ADHD does in children. It is in things you encounter every day, if you were allergic you would most likely know before you started vaping. My taste for food has even changed. I never liked Hummus, now I can eat a tub of the stuff. Same for celery. Bot now that I can actually taste fast food, I tend to stay away from it lol. Its kind of amazing how badly smoking rapes your tastebuds and sense of smell. Another thing is you need to have a few flavors to switch between because you will get so used to the taste of one you wont taste it as well. I have also found only the 100% USA made liquids are never perfumey. I suggest Sweet-Vapes.com or Vape-Dudes.com and strongly advise you to stay away from Dekang isf you don't like the perfumey chemically taste.

    SPREAD THE VAPE!

Hi everyone, hope everyone's vapping well. Well it started 30 years ago behind my buddy's dad's shop. When my buddy came up to me and opened his hand and said, "you want to go smoke it" at first I said no but did it anyway. So started my 30 year love hate relationship with cigarettes. I really never felt any effects from smoking until I hit my 40's,I'm a lead singer in a band The Troubadours it got to the point I felt like I was going to pass out on the stage during the first few songs of a gig. I couldn't even walk to the mail box without being out of breath. Smoking was effecting every part of my life one of the most important things it was effecting was sex I didn't have the energy to. I'd be out of breath before it got started. I knew I had to quit but couldn't fine anything that could help me quit smoking. I tried everything from patches to the pill even the e cigs you buy at the stop and go store nothing worked. Even after watching friends and Family members take their last breath in the Hospital from the damage that smoking did to them. I remember leaving the hospital after my father-in-law died from complications brought on by smoking. My wife and I were walking to our car and the first thing we did was light a cigarette. I looked at her and said, "What the hell are we doing we have to quit" and she said," yes I don't want our kids to have to go through what we just had to". So a year went by still smoking. Then one night about 3 months ago around 2 in the morning I had to wake my wife and 3 kids 12,10,and 5 up to take me to the hospital cause I couldn't breath after test were run the doc came in and said everything looks ok but, and I thought I hate when a doctor says but anyway she said after looking at the x-rays and listen to your lungs your lungs sound like a 70 year old man and if you don't quit smoking you'll probably be dead by the time your 60. I've heard the doctors quit smoking routine for years but this time it hit me like a ton of bricks. We left the hospital and the next Friday I started vapping I have not touched or wanted a cigarette since. It is incredible how better I feel the first week I notice my voice was getting stronger the first gig we played I didn't feel like I was going to pass out on stage and now after a 9 weeks of vapping mom and daddy time is so much better actually everything is getting better praise GOD food taste better i've got a ton of energy I can smell better I'm not waking in the morning hacking my lungs up. vapping may or may not be a totally healthy thing to do but it's a 1000 times better then what I was doing before I found vapping. My wife and I are now in the process of opening a vape store here where we live in NC so we can spread the vape. Happy vapping everyone.

    Diminished returns?

The "snap, crackle, pop" when you trigger the battery is a good sign. That means its cooking the juice and giving you vapor. The gurgling is more something you would get when you draw on the mouthpiece. Its like when you're at the end of your soda thru a straw. That's a leak and that needs to be fixed before continuing to vape. Pull it apart. Blow thru the mouthpiece into a napkin. Dab up the juice. Dab the top of your battery and try it again. But you mentioned the "snap crackle pop" diminishes as you vape. That tells me your vaping faster than the juice can wick. With the clearomizer you have (CE4 style), you may need to tip it to keep up juice flow. Also, it is my opinion that I get the best performance from the ce4 with a low resistance coil (1.8 ohm). You're probably going to start customizing your set up. You can pick juices that have a 60/40 pg/vg ratio. That should help juice flow. You can play around woth draw speed. How tou pull on the mouthpiece has a great deal to do with satisfying vapor. And dont be afraid to swap out coils. Thicker juices can gum up a coil pretty fast If I were you I would drop the CE4 and go straight to the Kanger T2. You will definitely notice an improvement in performance. For now, play around with what you have. You'll learn a lot.

    I am a Smoker

Welcome to VaporTalk! You've come to the right place. Many of us were chain smokers, or on our way to becoming chain smokers and know what you're facing. Switching over to vaping is the best decision I ever made. I tried everything else out there, and always had epic fails. The harder I tried to quit, the more anxiety I would feel, and the more I would smoke. A totally viscous cycle. During my first week of vaping, I discovered that I actually preferred vaping... the smell, the flavor, the vapor... everything positive was doubled. For me, there were the dreaded 5 that I had a hard time giving up, but when I was ready, I challenged those and those too went away. Tell us a little more about your habits, likes and dislikes. Menthol? Camels? Work at home? Work breaks only? Oh, and btw, I smoked for over 45 years and was almost up to 3 packs a day when I started vaping. (Camel filters and Marlboro reds). What helped me? eGo type of battery. Today the eGo Twist or the Vision Spinner are even better. Cartridge and Boge Carto's. Today, the Viva Nova v2 and the Kanger ProTank are even better. There are others too, of course, but these are the ones I'm most familiar with. Come on in, pull up a chair, grab a cookie, and get ready for the info that will change you into an ex-smoker once and for all. Welcome.

  20. I went to visit my dad today and he's been vaping a bit for two weeks or so. He's 72 and been a smoker for around 60 years so he's been weaning himself off of analogs. He bought a regular ego kit last year (batts, Atty, cartridge and cone). It lasted about 2 months and it wasn't working for him. He recently went to the Dr and got a clean bill of health except for the start of emphysema and high BP. So now he's all about it. This time he got an ego with CE5's kit and 100 mils of 0 nic juice. He's excited and can't wait to quit analogs. I'm so proud of him. He said he wants to be around another 20 years so he's go to do something to quit.

  23. Yes, larger air holes produce more vapor. You'll often lose flavor. It depends on where the air holes are placed. Every device is different. Some people prefer 2 tiny air holes instead of one large one. (some devices call for it, such as the uey wick attys). Increasing the VG levels helps with vapor production too (also reduces flavor, but adds sweetness).

When i go to work i generally have three mods with me, varying cartotanks depending on what i feel like vaping. Provari is always in the lineup, either my mvp or kicked Vmod XL and the third mod is usually my evic. I got a Vent Pouch that i clip onto my cup holder. It has a stiff metal bendable clip that i have formed over the lip of the cup holder. I have also reappropriated a belt pouch/holster from work that used to hold our old symbol devices that i drop my mvp or vmod into.

  26. If it is blinking, it sounds like you're hitting the cut-off. Generally, eGo batteries have anywhere from an 8 second to 10 second cut-off. As far as drawing into the mouth or directly into the lungs, it shouldn't make a difference to the battery.

    Anyone on here read books....

Because I've been spending too much money on vaping, my next book was going to be Rick Austin's "Secret Garden of Survival: How to Grow a Camouflaged Garden in the Forest". But the PrepperJournal guy gave it a thumbs down for lack of instructions, so now I don't know what I'll read. Maybe I'll get it anyway, what the hay.

    General questions

You might be, but your symptons so far sound like detoxing. You still would be wise to consider a Dr appt to make sure it isnt something else. 100% VG is super thick like sludge and probably would not vape well. I guess you could add distilled water to it. I am still having changes. my taste buds slowly changing. Getting your nic should help.

    Diminished returns?

You know what? Your mention of 'gurgling' brought something to mind; something that I'd thought was normal. Each time that I depress/hold the button - in preparation for a drag - I do get a gurgling sound. In fact, on each successive action I will get that same sound, though not quite as pronounced as on the precedding time. Again, I thought that this was characteristic of proper performance. When filling this unit (I am still working on my first fill) I made sure (or, at least, thought I did) that I got no juice down that center, tubular opening, and I always do my best to keep my device in a near upright position. Maybe I have done something wrong, and that the error might indeed be with me - not the vaping unit. I am also going to try slower pulls/drags on my next vape cycle. Maybe that, in itself, might make a difference in the TH strength received. But the good thing behind all of this? When I look at myself in the mirror, now, I honestly believe that I am looking at a permanently smoke-free man. This eGo Twist is twisting me totally away from those terrible analogs. And I am SO thankful (my family is, too).

  39. Bump due to the large amount of starter kit questions lately and also to add the T3S has now joined the T2 as my clearomizer of choice. I will use them both, but love the T3S bottomcoil style. My liquid tastes the same from top to bottom, no wicks to keep wet on the top. Full comparison and review in E-Cig forum.

    Yep, I'm new to this.....

Welcome to VaporTalk!!! For more power, you might want to try the eGo Twist or the Vision Spinner. These are loved even by those who have the Tim the Toolman Taylor type mods. Yet they are small, affordable, and great for dialing in to suit your particular flavor or mix. As you're contentedly vaping away at 4.2 instead of 3.3 volts, you'll be able to calmly (ROFLMAO!!! OK, this is not so true, because when the heart sees that mighty fine Mod, all heck breaks loose inside our spirits),.. but, for idealist sakes, you are set up nicely to research calmly for your next new Mod. Best of luck to ya Ain't it great how we go from "Having to have a smoke" to "Having to Have that MOD"!!! I love it!!!!

    Diminished returns?

I asked about pg/vg because I was taking a different tack with it. If the juice has higher vg or is all vg then it will be thicker and not wick very fast. That meaning you could be drawing faster than the wick is capable of wicking. That would lead to less vapor, less flavor, and more "dry hits". From your description of being able to take a few hits and then it changes it sounds like your getting dry hits and tasting more coil and wick instead of juice. The other possibility is that it's leaking thru the center hole but you would get gurgling and the top of your battery would have juice on it which shorts out the connection between your battery and coil. Just a couple of things to look for....

    Diminished returns?

That may be an advantage the Spinner has. I can tell when my standard Ego Batteries are getting close to dying and they drop off in performance some but the Spinner always maintains until the light blinks.

  44. Personally I'm not fond of the dct, they can be messy to fill, lose juice when the carto goes bad because you have to remove it completely from the tank along with all juice. The vivi nova or kanger protank is less hassle, less messy, easier to maintain. As far as the battery I use a ego c twist also variable voltage. Can't really give advice on the battery you are asking about because I know nothing about it.
    1 point
  45. I won't get in to the battery life section of mods but i can tell you from firsthand experience the amount of vapor or "clouds" you produce has nothing to do with having a mod over an eGo. I make CLOUDS of vapor with my 1.8ohm ce4, vision spinner eGo, and a juice composed of 80/20 vg/pg. It all comes down to your combination of resistance/voltage and the type of juice you vape. Obviously higher vg content juices are going to create way more vapor than pg juices. And the lower the resistance coupled with a higher voltage will give you better vapor as well. All of that is easily accomplished with nothing more than a vv eGo and the right resistance delivery device+ a high vg content juice. All that being said, if i had to point you in the direction of one mod, based on personal experience i'd say the Provari. Great customer service, 1 year warranty no questions asked, highest possible level of craftsmanship, internal protection. It's simply the best quality, safest mod out there. And it has stood the test of time over and over. Btw, my original point was to have you ask yourself if you really need a mod. Because as i said i've owned a lot of different devices including a Provari and i can promise you i never got a "better" vape out of the Provari as far as making clouds are concerned than i do out of a $25 eGo battery. Maybe you should try switching juices or delivery devices first before investing in an expensive mod.

  46. Actually, atomizers predate cartomizers by quite some time, but they did have a lot to do with the birth of cartomizers. The very first e cigs were fed by poly-filled cartridges that you filled with e-liquid and slid into the end of an atomizer. The saturated poly-fill in the cartridge pressed against a stainless steel "bridge" above the atomizer's coil to transfer the juice into the atty's internal wick & coil. It didn't take long before some more adventurous early vapers tried dripping juice straight onto the atomizer's coil (bypassing the use of the cartridge) and found it to be quite tasty. Later, the atomizer & cartridge were combined into one unit for convenience and the cartomizer was born, but due to the excellent flavor it provides, the "dripping" trend remains alive (and very popular) to this very day. Sorry...I got off topic.

  47. I used to read autobiographies and biographies when I was younger. I just wanted to know how successful people became that way. I took a little bit of knowledge out of everyone's books and tried to use it in my life. Funny thing was though that the spectrum of different personalities was crazy. I would read about, Bill Cosby, then Tupac, then Rush Limbaugh, then Dennis Rodman. You are right about the books becoming movies thing. I am a big fan of all of Max Barry's books and I just found out they made a movie out of his book, Syrup. If Hollywood would look to literature instead of old movies and t.v. Shows from the 80's as source material, the movies out right now would be ALOT better.
