    90 days today!

As of today, it has been 90 days since an analog has touched my lips! As my cardiologist put is, Vaping may have added not years, but decades to my life! Thanks to everyone here that has helped along the way and I hope I have been able to pay it back in some ways.

  2. By the way, I just happened across a Quit Smoking Banner that I thought was really nice to have. Found it on this very site, and couldn't wait to get it attached to my signature. I have my actual quit date set for tomorrow, because of the fact that I finished off my last two analogs earlier today. Tomorrow, I will start a new day in a new way.

  3. It drives me crazy the way my wife Vapes. It is funny how different we are. I take a long slow drag until I cannot take any more, inhale and exhale without holding it in at all. She hits the button, sucks the bottom out of it, inhales, hits the button, sucks the bottom out of it, inhales, and repeats about 4-5 times. Then she holds it in as long as she can, and complains about not getting enough vapor. I show her how I do it, blow out a cumulus cloud, and she gets mad instead of trying it my way lol.

    Air travel with PV?

Keep all your gear together with the exception of the juice. Those go into the ziplock quart baggie with your other liquids. TSA are used to seeing e-cigs now so you shouldn't have any problems.

  5. Uma is a wealth of knowledge, isn't she?? My only addendum to this thread would be this: KNOW YOUR BATTERY!!!!! I realize the topic of researching your battery's exact manufacture specs has already been covered in this thread. However, I feel it important enough to reinforce the point. Another point that hasn't been covered is that you're using a new-generation battery.....which may account for the strange behavior. With the advent of new technology, the information we currently know about the batteries in the Vaping world is slowly becoming obsolete. From what I understand, Orbtronic batteries perform really, REALLY well. The Panasonic CGR18650CH also outperforms AW-brand batteries on all levels. Their NCR-series look really promising too!!! And, recently, Sony released a 30-amp 18650 cell...putting ultra high-drain batteries into the "affordable" category. AW's have been the gold-standard amongst Vapers for quite some time. However, times and battery chemistry are changing. Safer cells, higher-drain, and more mAh are now of the order.

  6. Mods feel free to move this to the review section if needed, but I thought I would post it here since its really not an e-cig review or a liquid review as much as a comparison, but if you think it belongs there please move it. First off I am a huge fan of Kanger products, and I like both of these a lot. As with anything in life, there are pros and cons of each. I am going to compare these on the basis of the following criteria: 1. Looks 2. Taste-Vapor production 3. Ease of use 4. Maintenance 5. Cost of ownership 1. Looks: I like the way both of these clearomizers look but easily prefer the look of the T3S over the T2. I give the advantage here to the T3S. It is clearly marked a KangerTech product with the logo and name on the unit where the T2s do not have this. I also like that it has a gauge for liquid level both upside down and right side up since you fill from the bottom on these. They both come in color, but I find the looks of the T3S more appealing. Advantage T3S. It has a very clean uniform fit and finish. The ONLY complaint I have about the looks is the mouthpiece is clear which looks cool when unused but after a few draws you can see the condensation in it. Its there in the T2 as well, but with a black mouthpiece you cannot see it. I have had to get used to this. 2. Taste and Vapor production: Here is another area I am conflicted. With the T3S the flavors taste the same from top to bottom for me so far after vaping at least a tank of my go-to flavors with them. I might have to give the T2 a slight taste advantage for the first 1/4 of the tank, but after that it drops off for me unless I swirl the wicks which I hate to do. I do not notice a huge difference in vapor production but it seems the T3S produces slightly more. As my wife pointed out, there is definitely more of a "throat hit" from the T2 but at this point I am happy to tame that down just a bit. There is not a huge difference in this category either, but would give a slight advantage to the T3S since I think it produces slightly more vapor and the fact that my flavors taste the same from full to empty with all my flavors. 3. Ease of use: The T2 wins this one hands down. It is virtually impossible to get liquid in the air holes and-or flood a T2 from my experience. They fill from the top, very easy to do with little mess. You can fill while still attached to the battery. With the T3S you have to turn it upside down, unscrew the bottom, either be very very careful or plug the hole with a Q-Tip, put the bottom back on, and then re-attach it to the battery. Both are very easy to change the coils, although the T3S has an advantage here as you can easily change coils with a full tank as I have already done a few times (I will get to this later). One thing to mention here is due to the design of the T3S it doesn't work well for me with a lanyard on stock Ego batteries. It is fine on my Spinners, they have plenty of space and threads, but on the smaller batteries it screws down too far and places the lanyard ring in a bind and sometimes creates a distance that it doesn't make contact and you have to mess with it to get it to fire. I have gone back to using my Spinners anytime I plan to use a lanyard when using my T3S. I cannot efficiently use my lanyard and my EgoT 1000mah or my Ego Mini 400mah because the ring blocks the coil from making contact with the battery. 4.Maintenance: This is also a category where I am torn. It may be too early in my use of the T3S to accurately talk about this, but of the 10 I ordered with 1.8ohm coils standard I have replaced all 10 with 2.2 ohm coils that I ordered. The coils that came standard started flooding one by one but after exchanging them the leaking is minimal, but still there. I never had anything like this happen with the T2s. So far, there is definitely more maintenance with the T3S than the T2 for me anyway. Every coil I have used leaks at least a little and when refilling there is a procedure of blowing out, swabbing down the air hole and mouthpiece. It reminds me of the Ce4s in this regard. Let me say this, its not terrible. There is not liquid running out the bottom of these, but to say they don't leak a little would be being dishonest in my reviews. The second part is how easy it is to change the coils. With the T2 I always took out the coil, soaked the tank and cap in alcohol for a day or two, then let it air dry and go back into the rotation. With the T3S you just turn it upside down and unscrew the bottom, unscrew the old coil, screw in a new one, swab out the air hole, and screw it back on. I think it is more efficient as long as the coils last similar time-frames. 5. Cost of use: This is where there is not a lot of difference on the surface but as time goes on I can see either one having the advantage here. Up front costs are similar, in the neighborhood of $5 with one coil. The coils for the T2 are $2 and for the T3S are $1.39 so there is a difference there but not huge given how long they should last. I believe the T3S in the long run will be more efficient. I cannot count how many half tanks of liquid I have poured out of my T2s when a coil blows. It seems to ruin the whole tank and even if not, most comes out when you try to pull soaked wicks out and replace with new ones. That's why I gave up on even trying this with the T2s. With the T3S if I blow a coil I can replace it and continue to use the liquid in the tank. You can also buy replacement bases with the T3S ($2.50) but cannot buy replacement lids for the T2 (That I am aware of) and I have had a couple of them get the threads messed up and this renders them "spare parts". Bottom line is I like both these units for different reasons. I am planning to continue using the T3S as my daily driver for now but will not ever be bummed out at all I have with me is a T2. They both are great delivery devices. I just love finally being able to vape a whole tank of liquid with no drop-off in flavor or taste without having to top them off all the time. For a total noob, I would probably recommend the T2 over the T3S due to the ease of filling and lack of maintenance. I would give a slight advantage overall to the T3S head to head with the T2 as long as you dont mind a little maintenance and an occasional leak. I know there are ways to fix them, add wicks, rebuild, etc... but that's not me. I want to buy something and it work and for me it does, but there are definitely minor leaking issues similar to but not as bad as my experience with CE4s. This is my first non-liquid review so please, be gentle lol.

  7. My favorite juice just arrived in the mail and I immediately went to fill my carto. In hast, I unscrewed the cap of a 30 ml bottle, turned it upside down to fill and the drip top came off. All, but about 3 mils, was quickly absorbed by my jeans and sofa cushion. LOL! Lesson #73 - ALWAYS check to make sure the drip top is securely attached to the bottle before using.

  8. Hi. My name is Nathan, and I am new here. I am also new to vaping - having bought my first vaping kit just yesterday. I purchased the two-unit, EGO Twist kit, and really looking forward to it helping me emerge victorious over those nasty cigarettes. I started smoking when I was just twelve years old, and am now 64. I average about 1-1/2 packs of cigs per day, and had been wanting - for some time, now - to quit. Out of a pack of cigarettes, I only really enjoyed 4-5 of them (after a meal, cup of coffee, or alcohol). The other 15-16? Just out of habit. There were many, many times that I'd just sit around with a lit cigarette between my fingers and (between drags) disgustingly watch the line of smoke trial up from the tip of the cig. I wanted to quit, and tried a number if things. I tried acupuncture, the patch (in conjunction with Welbutrin), as well as the Smoke51 Ecig. The patch/Welbutrin pairing proved better than the other methods tried, and it lasted for six weeks. But I messed up by journeying to that wrong side of the fence again, due to a very pressing matter, and haven't been able to find that GOOD START again. Hopefully, I am now on to something that WILL allow me to put on much larger gloves against this addiction. Last year, a friend of mine introduced his vaping unit to me. He allowed me to try it, and it seemed like it was pretty neat. I could get the flavor, but not the hit that I was used to with analog cigs. I kinda put it out of my mind, because of that. Yesterday, though, I went out to the reservation and grabbed a look at their such units. They had the EGO Twist kit, with variable intensity adjustment, and a tester to let me try it out. On this unit I WAS able to adjust for the amount of 'hit' that was desired. So, I bought one of the kits. I have not used it yet, as I was finishing up my last analogs, first. I only have two cigarettes left, and I have vowed not to buy another pack again. I REALLY DO want to put cigarettes forever behind me, and I applaud each and every member, here, for embarking on that same endeavor.

    Questions

Pretty sure the adapter you are talking about is actually just the collar and is for looks mainly. The battery has inner and outer threads, different delivery devices use different threading.

  10. Yes, you are right about the taste difference. I started my vaping, today, with one of the sample bottles. That USA Tobacco sample bottle was 18mg nicotine. The larger bottle, of the same flavor (purchased separately from the kit), contained 24mg of nic. I had, initially, assumed that they were both the strength. After this first filling is through, I will start on the larger bottle. Starting at the strongest, and working myself down, is (I feel) the way to go to wean myself off of nicotine completely.

  11. I had just filled up my 3.5ml Viva Nova with my favorite Blue Honey and I placed the collar then the VN on the battery. Then I noticed that I had put it on the wrong battery so in a rush I quickly unscrewed what I thought was the VN from the collar but the bottom of the VN must not have been on tight because the whole bottom of the VN came off and 3.5ml of my favorite juice spilled into my Nursing uniform lap just before having to walk into her home. I am a Home Health Nurse. I shyly explained. She was so proud that I had quit smoking it took all the tension about the big grease spot you know where.

  12. Hi, Synther. My double-unit kit came with a sample pack of favors. There are eight, 3.7ml bottles, and the favors are as follows: Cool Mint, Tropical Breeze, Coffee & Cream, Mandarin Mango, Cherry Slush, Berry Pomegrante, Vanilla Cupcake and USA Tobacco. I smoked my last cigarette, a little earlier in the day, and then went about filling my eGo Twist. I powered it on, gave it one pull, and powered it back down. I just wanted to see that it WAS a functioning unit. I have to say that I was quite impressed. The flavor was a bit different from what I have been used to, from analogs, but that was to be expected. I got a good hit, but there was an aftertaste left in my mouth, which wasn't too bad, but something else that I will have to get used to. The flavor that I tried was the USA Tobacco one, due to thinking that it would be the closest to what I had already been inhaling. I had also bought a larger bottle of the USA Tobacco flavor, but will eventually get around to trying all of the flavors out. However, no complaints. I know that change requires transitioning, and that is a passage which can (in THIS situation) more easily be traveled when focus is kept on the extreme benefits to be realized.

  13. okay. you're probably even more confused now laugh out loud.I'm going to try to make this as simple as possible. You have an eGo T. that is a three-piece system. a battery, an atomizer, and a tank. in your system, you will have to change the atomizer which is located just above the battery. your tank when you plug it in is essentially plugging into the atomizer. a cartomizer, it's a two piece system where the tank and the atomizer are in one unit. dripping is a method that requires a different set up then you have. If you are experiencing a burnt taste then likely you will have to change your advisor which you should have got in your kit it's a small round cylindrical piecethat fits just above your battery. in your system, you're atomizer should last you 1 or 2 weeks. you will normally have to change your atomizer once every couple of weeks. its not that what you have been told in this thread is incorrect. there is just a lot there that is a bit much for a newbie to grasp. Read kitsunes post 4 links to figure out how to upgrade your system to a little better performance. Good luck!

    Ec Blend

My first introduction to EC Blend's site was from Rixter. He raved about the chocolate malt flavor from this vendor. Even though I have an allergy to chocolate (yes, I know. It's a terrible thing), I decided to give it a try to see if I could vape it. My first order was for a 15 ml bottle of chocolate malt and the same of vanilla malt (6 mg nic, 50 PG/50 VG, extra flavor). They arrived very quickly and I tried the vanilla right away. It was very good, but after letting it steep for a week or so (as recommended on the flier sent with the liquids), it was even better! The chocolate malt was tried very carefully as I didn't know if it would produce a reaction. What a wonderful surprise to find I could vape this!!! Since then I've been ordering all kinds of different flavors...in all nearly three dozen different flavors. Nearly all of them in the 5 ml bottles to see what I liked. There have been only two flavors that didn't taste good to me but all flavors, no matter who the vendor, is very subjective. When I find a flavor I like I order bigger bottles. Pineapple and Dragon's Tear were ordered in 30 ml bottles. Did I mention that EC Blends ships their e-liquids packed inside TWO sealed plastic bags? Good thing, too, because these two separate orders did indeed leak. Not much but just enough to smear the labels. So I emailed them to ask for replacement labels. I keep empty glass bottles with drippers around so it was easy to transfer the liquid. I just wanted the original labels to put on them for reference. They replied that they were aware of the problem with the bottles, changed the types of lids they were using and were sending replacements. Cool. Not only new labels but new bottles to boot! Imagine my surprise when the replacement bottles came filled with e-juice! Now that's great customer service. Their website is full of really good, useful information. They believe in transparency in their business model so you know what they use. I really like that you can also request custom blends at no extra charge. There's a lot of different options you can choose in every flavor. Sometimes it can be a little overwhelming, but on the whole, it's a very nice touch. Their prices are comparable to other vendors, more often on the low side. The choices of flavors is amazing! They even have roast beef, pizza, butter, pepper, Worchestershire sauce and a variety of other...unusual...flavors. I haven't been brave enough to try those yet. Maybe someday. All in all, I can't recommend their site enough. There's oodles of information about nearly everything e-liquid related on their site and their customer service is just amazing. If you decide to try them out, I'd love to hear your experiences.

  16. After watching at least 3 or 4 videos independent of each other of Panasonic CGR cells being hard-shorted, and only getting warm where the AW IMR cells practically exploded when undergoing the exact same test....I think its safe to say, I'd prefer the ones that merely ran a small fever in my mod!!! :p Besides, all the data from battery review sites confirm that the CGR cells can withstand substantial abuse, and still perform strong.

  17. LOL !! 4 years of trial and error paying off. Glad it worked though. The VG (for me anyway) is still useful in smaller amounts for added vapor. Overall, I find that PG mixes are a bit easier on the heating elements. The heating elements seem to have to work a bit harder with the higher VG.

  18. Updated with the new color coded T3S's. In there are 5 Kanger T3S filled with Strawberry Fields, Spearmint, and Candy Cane all from Vapedudes and Juicy Peach and Traditional Tobacco from Sweet-Vapes. All 24mg and either 70-30 or 80-20. I keep two EgoT 1000mah, two Ego mini 400mah, and one of my Spinners (for when I want Tobacco flavor, I prefer the 1000mah over the spinner for all other flavors). Always have 2-3 replacement coils and the stock of Q-Tips for cleaning up a refill or condensation out of the mouthpiece. Just finished filling tanks and packing my case for the lake tonight and tomorrow. If it would only hold my charger..... Scouts Motto: Be Prepared!

    Igo-L Dripper

*That's what she said* Congrats on your purchase!!! These drippers are great for getting your feet wet into the world of RBA's..... On a side-note, I got my second coil build up and running. Think I'm getting better at it, because it only took me two hours, four attempts, about 6-inches of Eko-Wool, and my Igo didn't go flying across the room more than once!!!!

  22. Thanks for relaying that info Ulma. Didn't mean to make you the go between. You really need like a magnifying glass to tell that the end cap is not tightened all the way, so it doesn't look awful by any means. I can provide a pic if you want. I am not sure what Griz/mike is thinking when he says "depends what you call top and bottom". As far as I know the top of the battery is always the positive pole and is clearly distinguishable even on flat top batteries that don't have the button. I have never seen a battery where both terminals look exactly the same, but perhaps he has, Not trying to nitpick or anything. I tested the resistance of the head right out of the box before use, so it wasn't your normal resistance creeping with age. Besides I've only had it a week or two and don't use it much. Funny you should say that Ulma, actually I do have an IGO-L on the way in the mail. I also have the Protank, and 2 other Pyrex tanks, a Vivi Nova and a T3. Also have two Evod's on the way, but I prefer glass to plastic. Thanks for all your help Ulma. You are my hero!

  26. Cartridge+atomizer=cartomizer, like a 2 in 1 Cartomizers typically don't last as long as atomizers without a bit of maintenance, but they hold more juice at at time and you can get a tank carto that will hold enough for days. Dripping is when you drip e-liquid onto the wick of the atomizer, which should help with the burnt taste you get. Try 2-3 drops at time directly in the atty and see how that works

  27. Ah, I didn't catch that enough for it to sink in. Your safety fuse and your protected battery are probably canceling each other out. You don't need the added safety fuse with a protected battery. I would remove the fuse, the battery is already protected.

  28. I couldn't vape less than 24mg for about a month or I'd be climbing the walls. Then I braved throwing in some 18mg once in a while. 3 months later, 24mg tastes strong to me. I only vape a few hits of it before dropping to 18mg or lower. I have 3 clearos with 6 now i rotate during the day with 18 if I need it. I can totally see myself with very little nic in a couple months.

  29. First off, Congrats for switching (mostly) over to vaping! I agree with the great advice the others gave you and have only a few other things to share. You might not be getting enough nicotine, as suggested, and I would seriously picking up a stronger dosage. Many of us, in fact, use several different mods, with several different mg levels in them. For instance, when you have to go hours between vapes, a 36mg in one of your setups will help you get through those dreaded hours. I have to use 50/50 vg/pg mix or else the TH is too strong in mostly PG version. Everyone is different. If your 36pg is too strong, then pick up some 36mg VG and mix until you find your comfort spot. (90/10, 80/20, 70/30, etc). Devote this one to break times and so forth where you can't vape like you wish to. Meanwhile, In another setup, use your 11mg for the steady vaping sessions. You can improve the hit by improving your vaping gear. For instance, if you are vaping a good but gentle Joye 510 or 808, I would save that for night time use when you're relaxing and chilling and pick up a Vision Spinner for typical day usage. The gentle batterys give you approx 3.2--3.7v of power, but the Spinner can go from 3.7 -- 4.8v of power which really helps. The draws we take are also shorter with these. With the gentle batteries we have to take long slow draws (great during chilling time), because the juice takes longer to heat up. With the Vision Spinner type of battery we can take short draws because the battery is able to heat the juice quicker. It's the difference between low and high heat on your stove when you're trying to boil water. Those 4 or 5 cigs that won't leave you are the challenging ones. You'll have to challenge yourself to omit one of them at a time and super celebrate when you finally do it. The hardest one for me was the bedtime one. Even though I had gone all day without a smoke, I couldn't bear the thought of not having a cig for such an overnight length of time. Many a night I stayed wide awake vaping, on purpose, just so I wouldn't have to have that nitey cig. I roll my eyes at myself, but that was me. I accepted me and I challenged me eventually. And when I finally went to bed, without my nitey cig, I awoke in the morning with the flavor of Apples dancing on my tongue. Wow. The first one in the morning was suddenly replaced by more of that wonderful apple flavor that only my apple ejuice provided. I accidentally killed 2 birds with one challenge. You'll get there. It's a matter of finding the right, for you, setup and juice. You have the "want to", now it's just a matter of the "can do". In the meantime, count all the cigs you have NOT smoked... yeh... pretty darn sweet. But I know it can be sweeter, just don't give up yet. Best of luck to you!

    Health

I would advise you that smoking is really harmful to our health. If you are doing once or twice a day, then also. An Occasional vaping is nice then regular smoking. We must be very much precocious about our health.Even though we are taking protection, but the smoke inhaled are causing serious effect to our lungs. So it's better to stop smoking and start eating.
