So, there i was at my local smoke shop picking up a few ce4's, an extra eGo batt, and some juice when i see a little Blu ecig stand. Now, i've always been at least somewhat interested in Blu. I know that the batts are insanely low mah, the cartomizers are overpriced, etc.....However, they are doing what no other ecig is, pushing electronic cigarettes into the eye of the consumer. Tv commercials, magazines, billboards, etc. I won't lie that when i go out to a bar or something it's always been kind of awkward asking if i can use my ecig there, they always say no problem and then i pull out an eGo with a tank on it and, lol well obviously eGo's are not what the majority of people think of when they think ecigs. They're thinking a cigalike. Well, the one thing that's kept me from ever picking up a Blu kit is their kits have always been like 60-70 dollars for two stick batts and a few carto's. Sorry but not gonna happen. Well, on this stand they were marked at $35. So that paired with the desire to carry something halfway normal around with me when i'm out led me to walk out with a Blu kit. Here's what i've observed so far. The kit: 2 batts- assuming the 90mah version (very small) blu pak charger- holds 3 carto's, charges one batt and holds the spare 5 carto's-vanilla, 2 tobacco, menthol, and cherry car usb adaptor First impression, simply-impressed. The packaging is by far the most professional packaging of any e cigarette i've ever seen. Very sleek and clean. Batteries and charge case all came charged. I'm a pretty mild vaper, only a few ml's a day. So, the small battery size won't be a problem for me for a night out on the town. They last me at my vape pace, probably 2-2 1/2 hours of use. And since the case is a charger if i decide to shut the bar down i'll still be ok . Flavors, i believe Blu still uses Johnson Creek for all their juices which is nice since they're an American supplier. So far i've tried Vanilla (my favorite so far), it's not a bad flavor. Nothing to write home about but i could easily vape this all night with my favorite beer in hand. Cherry, nothing good to say about it. Tastes like *** to be completely honest. I'll update after i've tried the menthol (i'm not a big menthol fan for the most part), and the tobacco. Vapor production. Surprising out of such a small ecig. I hit the cutoff timer every drag, but the vapor is worth it. Pretty decent clouds. Throat hit, honestly this little guy packs quite a punch. Not sure of the nic content in these (didn't pay attention before i threw the box out) but there's a solid th there. All in all, i consider it $35 well spent. I know the cartomizers are like $15 for a 5 pack which sucks, but, considering i'll basically only be using it on the weekend nights, i don't think it'll be that expensive to keep up with. Thanks for reading1 point

Hi all! I just got into vaping when an old friend of mine actually bought me an ego-c for my 30th bday (which just passed on Friday). When I posted on Twitter that I wanted to quit smoking analogs (cold turkey) when I turned 30, he went online and purchased me a kit from ConstantVapor.com. I got my kit June 11th, and have been analog free since then. When my BF smokes analogs around me, the smell of it makes me want to gag. I honestly can't believe I used to smoke cigarettes for so long! BF is actually thinking of getting a kit for himself, since I started, just so that we can vape together. To be honest, vaping has been the best decision for my health that I've made in a long time.1 point

Well on saturday( I know im really behind on these! ) i received my order from the vapor room. I had ordered about 75 ml and i had sent them an email bc it did say on their website that they were expecting shipping delays but i was just curious as to what was going on with my order. Turns out they were sending it out that day in fact and apologized for any inconvenience it might have caused. I replied saying i wasnt inconvenienced just curious was all since this was my first order from a company that hand mixes every order. When i opened it up not only did i have a sampler of the sweet tarts flavor that they sell but they upped the size by 5ml on each bottle that i ordered! that was truly very nice of them and not expected or necessary as i knew they had shipping delays, but they also wrote on my order form a little note. Now im sure im not the first person to get a note on my order receipt but the fact that they took the 2 minutes to write on it... not stamp or type.... but write a note welcoming me as a first time customer and that they wished me the best that is an awesome thing to see that someone actually really cares about their customers and i will continue to recommend these guys to anyone who asks. They are quickly becoming one of my favorites up there with Empire Mods and The Veteran Vaper.1 point

I pulled my mail out of my mailbox today, along with the typical bills and junk mail, I received a small USPS Priority Mail envelope. Now, normally a Priority Mail envelope is very exciting for me. But when the Priority Mail envelope is clearly addressed to someone else, it looses all the excitement. Most likely though, a one 'Mary Margaret XXXXXXXX, who lives 3 blocks away from me, is questioning the efficiency of our letter carrier. And, if it wasn't midnight, I would walk 3 blocks south and put her mind at ease. I checked the tracking number and it shows 'Delivered' yesterday. OK, I forgot to check the mail yesterday, and I didn't think to check it today until midnight. Trust me, its not the only thing I'm a 'little' behind on, but that's another story. I'll have my daughter walk it down tomorrow, after I call my local post office and clue them in on this mistake. The sender is the 'U.S. Government Official Mail, U.S. Custom House' and it feels like there might be a passport inside the envelope. Either our government or Mary Margaret paid extra for Priority Mail. Exactly what did they pay extra for? As far as the USPS is concerned, the envelope was 'Delivered'. And, they have proof, because the letter carrier scanned the bar code before placing it in 'my' mailbox. How do I know this, because something similar has happen to me... more than once. I was impatiently waiting for vape mail and according to a tracking update, my package had been delivered. I called the post office to let them know that I had not received the package. According to the post office manager, my package had been delivered and he told me the date and time. I informed him that the package may have been delivered on the day and time recorded, but that it wasn't delivered here. He told me that he would check with the letter carrier and get back with me. 24 hours later I had not heard back from the post office, so I called the manager back. He apologized for not getting back to me, but that he did ask the letter carrier about the package and she reported that the package had been delivered. So I checked with my neighbors to see if, my chance, my package had been delivered to them. No luck! I live on S. Main St and 1 block north is N. Main St. On a whim, I decided to walk to the same number house on N. Main St. to see if, by chance, they received my package. Sure enough, the little old man who lives at the same number house on N. Main St. had my package. Since he didn't notice a name different than his, or that the address was different, he had opened the package. But, he did wonder why someone was sending him small bottles of liquid air fresheners. He wasn't able to read the labels on the bottles, or he would have know that the small bottles of liquid was e-juice. He was so sorry and I kinda felt sorry for him. He was willing to put everything back in the box and tape it back up, LOL. I assured him that it wouldn't be necessary and that there was no harm done. When I got back home I called the post office manager and relayed the story. All he could say was that he would let the letter carrier know about the mistake. Well, that really eased any concerns I had about my mail being delivered elsewhere. I know that we still have the same letter carrier, because I can hear her talking on her cell phone when she delivers my mail. Its just a thought, but if the letter carrier would wait until her break to catch up on the latest and greatest with her friends or family, our mail might get delivered to the right address. God bless the letter carriers. They have to endure the weather of the day, plan bathroom breaks, and irresponsible pet owners. But for Pete's sake, please at least pay more attention where you are delivering tracked mail, because when you scan the package as being delivered, the consumer doesn't have a leg to stand on. Once scanned, it is the gospel truth1 point

Ladies and gentlemen, stand back. This could be ugly. So last week i bought an octopus RDA. I know its one of the cheaper no frills RDAs and I vaped the heck out of it for a week. As is typical, I got bored, took it all apart, trimmed the wick, staightened the wire out, rewrapped the coil, put it all back together and it fired up and worked like new. The mad scientist in me (he lives very close to the surface, btw) did some poking around and I have now decided to rebuild it in the bunny cottontale configuration. Why, you ask? Because I can! Anyway, Ive decided to do some shopping for a basic mad scientist starter lab. I would love your input on some basic tools and supplies that I'll be wanting. Keeping in mind that I would like to have a little stock of silica, nichrome wire etc.. think of it like jr mad scientist starter kit. Tips? Suggestions?1 point

Well I can see how they both might have their advantages. I have over 20 T2s with about 30 replacement coils left so if I like them better they are still there. I would think though the KPT being the same bottom feeding type would do the same thing, and I really like the way it hits.1 point -
I have the kanger evod- I had a panic attack this morning when I got up and tried to vape and there was no vape. I tried everything I plugged it into the charger and charger was green =full charge? ok , tried to vape -zilch. lather rinse repeat this went on for 15 minutes.SO I gave up grabbed the hubbys kanger and went online in a panic and bought an ego ce4 kit (2 pack ) and then I bought a anyvape bcc tank just cause lol so what are the differences between the ego and the kanger ? *on a side note nothing was wrong with my kanger , I hadnt turned it on lol to my defense this was a pre-coffee incident I realized after my coffee what I did .1 point

Made the step into the full on vari-controls. The Joyetech eVic is my new couch-smoker. Most of my vaping is while watching TV or on the computer. Keeps me from snacking - interesting side-effect. I had a different off-brand large rebuildable tank (3ml) but I kept sucking juice. It was like a straw. May have been a fluke with that tank, but it really made it unuseable. I even replaced all the o-rings and different atomizer. Well, new brick and morter store here opened up a few miles away, so I went there to see what tanks they had and bam, walked out with a new Vivi Nova Pro tank. Haven't looked back. I still travel with my Joyetech eGo batteries and smaller clearomizers just because the eVic is huge in comparison. I went with the eVic because I am a geek. I love data and numbers and statistics. I play with the app as much as I vape now. And, props for the http://www.vaportalk.com/marketplace/ . I ordered the eVic from there and it was only a 3-day turn-around from ordering until i had the eVic in my hands. Will post photos when I get home.1 point

Mine has rolled off the table onto carpet a few times, a couple of times onto harder surfaces but never on concrete. It's survived it all. When my V1 control head started to come loose it was while I was changing tanks. I've run into "that device is no good because it might break if you drop it' threads ad nauseum. Try dropping your smartphone, tablet, or other electronic device and see how long it lasts. I don't understand the mentality that expects ecig devices to be indestructible.1 point

All these sound-alike brands/styles, numbers and abbreviations give me such a headache. I'm so glad I discovered the RBA's a few years ago. lol. Just when I've gathered enough info on a product that's great for taking to the bar, or for getting newbies started up nicely, I run across threads and videos full of gripes and fixes. Then I have to go back to all the newbies who trusted what I had set them up with, and explain how to fix them. I hate hype. Man oh man, Why can't life be simpler? Now the eVod coils that vapers like to put on their protanks to stop the gurgling, are changing. They aren't making those same eVod coils anymore. Does this mean the fix for the protank will also be changing again? oops, I'm ranting. lol. But, seriously, when does this ever stop? I feel so sorry for the vendors too, who were stuck purchasing the promised land, only to see V45 come out within a week. Is the T2 the same thing as the T2S? Does the T2S leak like the T2? Or do I have that backwards? Is there a one that doesn't need a fix? What should I set the noobie up with? I can't go telling a newbie to take it apart and fix it with an extra silica they don't happen to have on hand... I mean, really. I''d really like some honest to goodness honest products to recommend and honestly, I don't know what they are. I didn't mean to rant in this thread, but seeing as how the FIX is a topic, ...1 point

Bah. had 2 conversations going at the time. It is a Vivi Nova 2.4ohm tank with long wicks. the "Pro" from there was me talking about my MacBook Pro in a different forums. I get other peoples' mail maybe once every month or so. Some is for a different address on my street, some addressed to a totally different street. One of my letter carriers is also constantly on her cell phone. In fact I've never seen her not talking on her cell phone. Just like distracted driving, I'm pretty sure the distraction is responsible for mistakes here and there. I don't know what the work rules are for the USPS. I'd like to think such things are prohibited but in this country today I just don't know. Fortunately none of my mail has gone astray - yet. Odds are though that the day is coming.1 point

my first attempt
Uma reacted to CascadianExotics for a topic
For wire, I'd recommend using A-1 grade Kanthal wire over nichrome. TemcoIndustrialPower.com has cheap prices on 100-foot spools of 28, 30, and 32 gauge (among other gauges). Silica is good, and German silica is better. However, Eko-wool seems to be gaining a lot of popularity amongst RDA users. You can also seek out lengths of Nextel X-16 (model?), and grab some cotton balls for your mad science experiments. Otherwise, a set of drill bits will come in handy for drilling out the side of your Octopus whenever those stock bottom-fed airholes will no longer keep up with your coil builds. Good Luck, and Happy Vaping!!!1 point -

ok a CE4 is a top wicking clearo. Its atty sits on top of a post and wick come down from that and pull the liquid into the coils. The Kanger EVOD is a BCC which means its a bottom feeder. The wick actually sits on the bottom of the tank and wicks the flavor into the coil on the bottom. The EVOD will allow you to smoke more juice without a huge hassle to get the wick soaked. The CE4 you have to keep tipping it on its side and make sure your keeping the wick saturated. The EVOD however will flood if the wick loses strands or you attempt to rewick it yourself and you dont put enough wick in the hole. (that would be me..... ) overall I prefer the EVOD as i prefer the T3S and MT3S made by Kanger but the CE4 is not a bad product. The biggest difference though is probably the location of the coils.1 point

I love the sound of the sizzling crackling and popping atomizer. It means the coils are working great. I can't stand a non sizzling atty/carto, it's usually a sign it's flooded or dying. It hasn't much oomph. Tooo much snappy sizzling with juices flying out, however, usually signifies a short in one of the coils. That's no fun. Best thing to do, is to put it on an Ohm meter reader or a VV mod and read those ohms.1 point

Rice Crispies? Sorry, couldn't resist. It could be that you got a little juice down the center post. Take off the clearomizer, hold a tissue loosely over the bottom where it screws into the battery, blow into the mouth piece. Dab the juice out of the bottom as well as the battery well. Screw the clearomizer back on and vape. Any better?1 point

She also decided to ship it overnight mail at considerable expense to be sure I got it quick. 7. I really like not jonesing for once for nic. I was not getting enough and now I am. 8. I really like that I now know I can make it and be comfortable doing it! 9. I also like that I have been charged with paying this forward to another when I time is right!1 point -
