    I DID IT!

LOL well i got my IGO-w in the mail today and it only came with enough supplies to make one wick and one coil so i thought... lets try it. I took my silica wick and folded it in half and then did a 5/4 wrap so i think the kanthal might actually be 34g instead of 32g because with my 5/4 wrap i got a 2.3 ohm coil. So i plugged it into my eVic and did a test fire and it did fire and i had a hotspot right on the negative terminal so i did like Uma said and just pulsated and pushed until they all glowed evenly. Then i popped the cap on... juiced up... and BAM! I dont know that the flavor is any better then my disposable dripping atty's... but it was MUCH more gratifying then just a plug and play atty

  2. I myself didn't have any trouble as I went with the highest nicotine the store sold at 26mg and have stepped it down to 11mg. I'm 33 days in and haven't even considered an analog. I honestly think starting high with nicotine and then stepping it down is the best way to go. If its too much you can always go down... But it sucks the other way around I have found. Just my 2 cents but seriously good for you for trying so hard! Just one more big push and you will home free!!!!

    Just got an Ego-T Kit

Hi! I'm new to vaping. I've tried Blu's and Krave e-cigs. Recently I saw a buy in a co-op for Ego kits. So I bought the kit (2 Bats, 2 Ce4 Clearomizers, the wall plug and USB cable with the case), 17 bottles of e-liquid in 18 and 11mgs (mostly 10ml, and 2 30ml's), the lanyard, car charger, extra battery, extra usb cable, and 10 extra clearomizers. Just so you know my set up LOL. I have a lot of questions so I'm sure I'll be here a lot!

    I DID IT!

I think you'll find that, like all new things you try, taste and performance will get better and better with each new coil you wrap. Practice makes perfect.

  6. This is a method that I just recently started using, and I've had great success with it: I start by wrapping my Kanthal around my wick before inserting the wick into the RBA's top deck. I slide the wick down into the wick hole, and then attach the top of the coil to the positive post. Next I gently pull tension on the bottom lead to get any slack out of the coil, and finish by putting the bottom lead of the coil under the negative screw and snugging it down. This process works best for me because any tension I get when tightening things up is happening at the bottom of the coil, which is where the wick goes through the wick hole, so my wick doesn't move around so much. This process also seems to eliminate hot spots at the top of the coil do to over-tensioning the top lead when attaching it to the positive post. Try it out and see if this doesn't solve the hot spot problems you've probably been scratching your head over.

  8. Excellent Rixter!! That's how I do mine, wrap the wick, and then insert into the wickhole. Fast, painless, easy and the wick stays straight and true without kinks, and the wire hugs the wick just right tight. But, I'm backwards.. I do the negative screw first and then the positive center post, and occasionally get that hot spot that I have to move around. I'll try it your way next time, starting off with the positive center post. Thanks! oh, and yep, the IGO top cap pulls right off when it's attached to the mod. (confirming)

  9. Try screwing it onto a PV first and then twist the cap clockwise and off. I don't own an IGO-W, but I'm pretty sure the cap is held on by two O-rings and not threaded.

  11. Avid reader here too. Mostly mystery action novels. Clancey, Patterson, etc.. but I enjoy all forms. Hey Mark! If you only read Non-fiction, how will you ever learn what NOT to do when you're faced with a monster of whatever magnitude? Top 10 lessons learned from scarey novels: 1. Never look back while you're running, or you will trip over something. 2. Never say "Who's there?" as you're sneaking around looking for whoever is there. 3. Oh crap, I forgot...

  12. You can learn quite a bit from the right fiction authors like Michael Creighton, David Morrell...

  13. It's been a long time coming for Oregon. Here, we are so stupidly PC that the lawmakers often forget to look for alternatives when dealing with issues....like health, and quitting smoking. But, I am jealous of your Richman. I think it would look awesome on a modified Sigelei #19 with a Fusion SG-1 hybrid kit!!!! Let me tell you, that I see green too....only, its green disappearing out of my wallet, LOL!!!! Also, mad thanks to Rix for posting the links to the Youde product line....I foresee more green disappearing out of my wallet in the near future!!!

    snapping -

Rice Crispies? Sorry, couldn't resist. It could be that you got a little juice down the center post. Take off the clearomizer, hold a tissue loosely over the bottom where it screws into the battery, blow into the mouth piece. Dab the juice out of the bottom as well as the battery well. Screw the clearomizer back on and vape. Any better?

    Must have been lucky.

you know - I was "almost ' the same way. I had a coworker that had one and honestly I thought it looked like some sort of" paraphernalia" But she smoked analogs too so I figured cant be that good if shes still smoking so I never really thought about it UNTILL we became a tobacco free facility then I started thinking about it ALOT.LOL Well she didint think much of it because she would still sneak around with me to smoke she even offered me one that she didint use any more but I declined because she didnt like hers and that was the one she replaced it with - well I quit that job ANd had my best friends mother not been put on oxygen that very well may have been the end of it for me so glad it worked out for all of us who gave it a fair chance.

    What do you think ?

I helped one other start vaping and she hasnt had a cig in weeks. I was helped when I came here. It goes on and we pass it on. The kindness shown me I will pass on as many times as I can. Orlando area has no good stores for e-cigs. Want to start one?

  23. Redsonja, that sounds like a great buy! My only problem would have been what juices to get! Im so picky for some reason I do not like most juices.

    "Re-using" juices?

Personally, I go through 3 - 5 flavors a day minimum, it does depend on what I feel like at the time. I just keep different clearomizers or atomizers going with different flavors so I don't have to worry about wasting juice. Save the juice or throw it out? Depends on how dark the juice is from what it was originally. If it's significantly darker I'd throw it out. If it's still pretty clear then I'd find a new bottle to store it. Do NOT put it back to mix with the unused juice. I'm sure others will chime in directly, but that's my opinion.

Welcome! If you don't mind I might pick your brain a bit on the DIY mixing since I'm new to it and kit it probably ridiculously tired of my incessant question. Lol!

  28. We started the series Homeland the other night, I have already seen it but my wife hasn't, so I'm watching it again with her. They have only made one season of it but I hope there is going to be more to come this year.

  29. Yeah, I really did like Eureka, also Warehouse 13 was funny, too. There were a few more that didn't go past the first or second season, and I was truly bummed. V is one of them. I even started to like The Event. But they canceled them!! So sad. I'm reluctant to start a new series for fear that they will just cancel them--like Stargate SGU. Very sad.

  30. Yeah, not a bit sequel person either. I'm kind of bummed that there isn't a lot of sci fi on TV anymore. I'm not really into the vampire or horror stuff, but I like a good sci fi show. I was really into Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, V, and a couple of others that were canceled. Has anyone heard of any new shows coming out?

  32. I just love "Battle Los Angeles". It will be a definite favorite. Of course, I love just about anything sci fi, but "Battle Los Angeles" is in a class all its own.
