    Just saying beware

I noticed on the new member area on the last topic posted that DHgate has an advertisement. That is the site that I ordered all of those CE4s and CE5s that did not work. It was just one seller on that site that did me wrong but when I goggled that site I saw a lot of information on that site that said really bad stuff about that site. That seller told me he was going to send me 10 replacements for the 10 duds I received but I have not received them yet and it has been 3 weeks. I won't ever order from that site again. I am sticking with the ones I know like Veteran vaper, Vaper Talk and Vape Dudes, just to name a few.

    Must have been lucky.

'Lucky' that by lurking here, then getting a little advice on a starter kit, I bought some quality products and was amazed at how preferable it was to analogs. The reason I mention this is that I had an experience today that would have, had it been my first 'ecig' probably have turned me off to vaping. I was given a new 'V2' light, single use ecig by someone who had it, but wasn't going to use it. I haven't tried any small auto units, so I thought I'd try it. IMO, boy did it suk. No throat hit at all, and terrible taste. And I hit it a dozen times or so. Had that been my first experience with vaping, I may very well have said 'not for me'. I guess the lesson is if you are looking to switch someone, advise them to give 'your' gear a try, and not just let them grab something off the rack.

    "Re-using" juices?

So I am very new to vaping, but here's a brief history of my vaping experience. A couple of weeks ago I ordered an ego twist battery with viva nova tank. The first 2 juices I tried were made by Totally Wicked (they have a local store near me) and I purchased both their menthol and strawberry juices. Both taste fine, but they were INSANELY harsh on my throat. I did some research, and found out their juices are more PG based than VG. So I went online to EC blends, since they offer the ability to adjust pg/vg, and ordered 4 new flavors. I received the package yesterday and have been vaping a great juice by them called "Chocolate Mint Crunch," All I can say is WOW, this juice is superb. However, I have been vaping nothing but that since I received the package. Now, I am starting to not taste the well pronounced flavors I tasted when I first loaded up my viva nova. I figured I should switch to a new flavor just to give my taste buds a change for a little bit. BUT, I have a question. My viva nova still has about 1.4 ml of juice in it. Should I save this juice, or just throw it out? I hate to waste a perfectly fine product, but is it still any good for me to use? Also, how often do most of yall switch up flavors?

  6. Good question. When I get near the bottom or I dont get the vape I like anymore from the left over juice I just call it ended and wash it out tossing what leftover there is. If the coil and head can be unscrewed it is easier to clean the wicks. If you have cheap clearo's or they do not clean the way you like as they wont come apart I toss them. (or save them after cleaning for that flavor) I use boge 501 carts to test flavors. They are easier to clean out for me. Some people just start with a neutral flavor like Vanilla and then when they change to say chocolate or strawberry it would likely mix with the old juice to make a nice complement anyway. So no problem.

  7. Redsonja, that sounds like a great buy! My only problem would have been what juices to get! Im so picky for some reason I do not like most juices.

  9. Me too Uma! My iTaste VV ver 3.0 just came in today in the mail delivery! I was not expecting it so soon. I dont care for the retractable power cord myself, but it is as it is. I guess customs was goofing off and passed my pkg thru! The iClear 16's are cute. It is smaller than I thought too! I like it!! It vapes very well!

    "Re-using" juices?

Same here. Case has 2 batteries and 5 clearos - 2 different coffees, a bakery, and a fruit and a spearmint. I fill em up in the morning and through the day just rotate the clearos as desired. I dont like to vape 24mg all day like i used to either so with this method i can change nic levels as well. Some days I vape 1 or 2 all day. Other days I'll switch clearos all day long. Variety IS the spice if life

  12. If you're going to direct drip you really do need a drip shield, not a cone. The cone is made to make things look pretty - it doesn't have the ventilation you need to get a really good draw. I used one and after awhile I noticed that the extra juice would leak through the threads of the cone. You don't get that with a drip shield. The cone can also produce a really tight draw and more heat because it's not meant to do anything - not so with the drip shield.

  13. ok fair enough. i bought this one since my current setup at home is dripping and i only use the tanks when im at work. http://www.Empiremods.com/product_p/igow.htm

  14. if it has a rubber tip... you could always try and pull it apart and put your own juice in it.

  15. If you're talking about the AGI, my advice would be to wait on that until you have experience with both a Genny and a RDA under your belt. The unit, while a good idea, is fundamentally flawed. Being as these "all-in-wonder" units are new to the world of RBA's, the technology still has a few bugs to work out. For a beginner who has never touched a Genny, it would be a good idea to have a solid base understanding of what you're dealing with before working with something that hasn't had the time to work out the kinks in the technology.

  16. A "cone" is simply a cosmetic piece to add to eGo's to not show the outside threads of an ego when your'e attaching a standard 510 delivery system. A drip shield actually encases the atomizer and prevents leaking, when you drip with an atomizer they tend to lose juice through the air holes on the side if overfilled. Cone-cosmetic, drip shield-practical. In fact with a drip shield you can add more than 3 or 4 drops since after about that much that's when they tend to leak. It makes it so you don't have to add drops every 3 or 4 hits. A wide opening drip tip is designed so that you don't have to remove anything to drip in to the atomizer. You just drip your juice right through the hole of the drip tip. Personally i never liked the idea and always removed the drip tip and dripped juice directly in to the atomizer, but that's simply because i'm anal lol

  17. lol yes i do. i saw this rebuildable atomizer that is an RDA and a RBA.... it has a tank and a dripping set up. lol! i might just buy that one and be able to sample both worlds at the same time and then move on from there.

  18. I know right, CE, me too. I'd have all of them under my belt, too, if I could. (curiosity and all that). Medic, the IGO-L is another good one for RDA's. Big and roomy to work in as well. There is a new IGO-W out too, that might be of interest. (I know you love options, admit it!

    Fav Flavors?

Funny thing taste is, what is a filet mignon to some is a Mcdouble to others lol. With nicotine liquids, taste is more subjective than just about any other thing I have encountered in my 43 years.

    Kanger Protank V2

Bcarter!!! have you happened to try a T3 or MT3? i just got both of them in and they are both bottom feeders with the same airy draw as the protank.. but they are same construction as the T2. The MT3 has a protective cover over the pyrex. just thought I would mention it to you since they are only a little more then a T2.

  23. Well this sucks. Anybody have any stories about tortured kittens? That would cap this day off nicely I think. Isn't it nice of the government to step in and "protect" all the kids who's "parents" are too inept to control what their offspring buy online? As Jason Mattera, spokesman for Young America's Foundation, said (paraphrasing William F. Buckley, Jr.) at the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference, "Hey, jackass, get your government off my freedom!"
