  1. On a state level you are correct, on a federal level it's illegal in all states. One day the government will tell us how many squares of toilet paper we can use per flush.

  2. Using that flawed logic they should be looking to ban many non-ecig products as well, ie: fruit and other flavored liquors, etc. The contempt I have for the US govt. can't be overstated.

  3. FDA Announcment here: http://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=201304&RIN=0910-AG38 While we don't know what the regulation will be, I've been chatting with a few individuals via email over the last week. Though speculation, it's believed that the FDA may ban any flavors that are not tobacco related. So essentially Menthol, Tobacco variations etc only (No Candy like flavors which could deem attractive to underage users) It's likely there will be heavy restriction on liquid creation. Now this isn't' necessarily bad, but it depends on what is required. Licensing, regulation and production requirements will always lead to higher cost naturally. It's also likely that states will follow suite with taxation. There's also rumor that online sales may be terminated at some point (which most of us have speculated) but at this point, it's all educated guessing. (and would require further legislation) Keep your eyes open and your stockpiles up.

  4. This is my first small clearo other than the .8 Halo small tank and there is a world of difference! I dont fault Halo for anything. They were definitely a step up from the 7-11 convenience store disposable e-ciggs. But their fiber carts are certainly *not* like the Boge cartomizers, and their 'mini tank' is very much less than this Vision Nano. The Nano is about the same size as the Halo mini. (.8 ml) But thats where any similarity ends. The Nano has a screw on top. It is bottom fed and I dont even see any wicking. It is made from higher quality parts and feels it. The Halo is top coil and very hard to fill. The top just presses on loosely. This isnt supposed to be a review, I am just pleasantly vaping my first nice clearo experience. maybe its the battery that makes the difference also but man this is nice! Strawnanna Smoothie from Nicquids 12mg and some gifted cantaloupe added in. Nice. What was your first experience with a clearo and what was it? I might need to try it!

  5. To be honest, I applaud Blu for bringing awareness of e-cigs as an alternative to tobacco cigarettes to the general public. If it were not for Blu, Fin, and Njoy running television commercials, we would have a much harder time finding acceptance in vaping amongst the general public.

    Kanger Protank V2

$19.50 would never break me, but when I get ~90% the production and taste out of a T2 with same cost replacement coils at 20% of the price of a KPT it is not about affording it as much as seeing the value in spending the money on it. I keep about 20 T2s in my case, Brian at Veteran Vaper can attest lol. I never get below 10-15 replacement coils. I already ordered 10 for my 1 KPT I do have. I just dont find it portable, it is extremely breakable, and while it does produce slightly more taste and vapor than the T2 I just do not find the value there for me personally. Affording it is not the issue, it is the value that I am not all the way on board with. Given the choice of 5 T2s or one KPT for me the value is not there. If they were $9.99 I would have a dozen most likely.

You can buy a clearo for less than a pack of analogs. What about the next pack, then the next one?

    Already been a loser......

Excellent suggestions, Synth, I was hoping you'd chime in, as I believe your familiar with my spinner set up. None of my multitudes of plumbing gaskets were that small, but somehow I saw a tiny black rubber gasket on the counter in the bath, probably remnants from my pockets, as that is one of the places my wife dumps my pocket booty when she's gonna wash my work shorts. Anyway, I have no idea where it came from, and it was actually a 'cup' style washer which actually better than a flat gasket. The hole was a bit small, but the OD was near perfect. So it's on my backup, and will see if it holds up until I get the real thing. I guess if it lasts as long as the coil, I'm fine. Lesson learned about paying attention to those o-rings.

  10. Technically, it's 306, but 306 and 510 are the same thing. But just so you know, lorillard, the company who owns newport, now owns Blu. You may want to keep in mind the fact that by buying blu, you're supporting big tobacco.

  12. Well this sucks. Anybody have any stories about tortured kittens? That would cap this day off nicely I think. Isn't it nice of the government to step in and "protect" all the kids who's "parents" are too inept to control what their offspring buy online? As Jason Mattera, spokesman for Young America's Foundation, said (paraphrasing William F. Buckley, Jr.) at the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference, "Hey, jackass, get your government off my freedom!"

  16. The only clearo-tank I have ever had that never flooded is the Kanger T2 and (so far) the Pro Tank although I have only had it a couple days. Conversely, everything I have had that was a Vision product has flooded from time to time requiring them to be blown out.

  18. Not sure about the missing part, but the gurgling sound means you have liquid in your air hole through the coil. Put a Qtip loosely against the opening on the bottom and blow out the excess liquid, swab it all off to get it as dry as you can, and you should be good to go. It happens with every delivery device at some point.

Now that I have gotten and used a KPT I do not see what all the fuss is about with the "airy draw". I think it is damn near perfect for me. Positives: Liquid tastes fresh when it burns, definitely a cleaner taste than anything else I have tried Huge Vapor even though I use 70-30 and 80-20 mixes exclusively Great Throat Hit Awesome looks on my spinner 1300mah Easy to fill, can change coils without emptying tank, cheap coil replacements Negatives: Very heavy when on a lanyard my 1300mah hangs almost horizontal Cost of unit Easier to break than my T2s I have been using exclusively Makes a much louder noise when taking a draw than anything else I have used (not necessarily negative but worth mentioning) Bottom line for me is I love it, BUT I am not ready to make it my main delivery device. I have several batteries and my KPT will be my "at home" device for now and my T2s will still be my "on the go" devices. As hard as I am on batteries being a boater and outdoorsman I think I would break these in no time if I used them on the go. When I am at home, my case I carry around will never be used though. The KPT is by far the best delivery device I have used to date but has portability issues.

  20. Perfect clearomizer? 1. Flavor. 2. Easy refilling. 3. Easy coil changes 4. adjustable air hole size.from 1mm to 1.5mm (most 1.2 are too airy for me, some are just right). 5. Vapor (this is adjustable with the adjustable air hole) 6. Higher base or one piece construction so that it doesn't come apart in your pocket. The clearomizers to date, have too short of a base that holds the tank in place. The tanks are too easy to tilt out of whack and then they spill out all over your pocket or purse. Eliminate the tilting possibility and I'll kiss ya. 7. Optional pyrex tank styles for cracking flavors. 8. Protective covers for the pyrex tanks so they don't break when they topple over. 9. Did I mention Flavor for # 1 most important spot? Worth mentioning again. (adjustable airhole plays an important part with flavor too, as well as with vapor).

  21. Personally I feel it will go by way of the headshop mentality. This is not a candy flavor, this is candy apple tobacco flavor. Which I feel is the wrong route but... What are ya gunna do? Crazy markups, intimidating teenage pot heads with rings in there lips. It they cut Internet sale that is. But then again maybe places like cvs/Walgreens/wal mart will step the game up. Killing the small business aspect altogether. Hopefully you have a dedicated shop of nothing but e-cigs with enuff local bissness to subside the lack of Internet sales.

  22. My wife was the same way, and I never put any conditions on her quitting. It was my decision alone to give it up and after 2 packs a day for 27 years this was my first attempt and am approaching 90 days analog free! She started to get interested because she saw how much better I felt, stopped taking the anti anxiety meds I had been on for years, and overall was a happier person. The wrinkles around my eyes have gotten noticeably smaller, almost disappeared all together. She finally said, ok Im gonna try it and now she has stopped taking her daily sinus meds. Our son no longer coughs like...ever. We never smoked right around him or in a vehicle with him but nonetheless, he has stopped coughing. I cannot even put into words what switching to vaping has done for me and my family. Even my cardiologist applauded me for switching and was happy to let me vape in my hospital bed while having some follow up tests done before taking me off blood pressure medicine all together.

  23. Congrats for switching over to vaping from smoking. Hang in there, your husband will come around when he's ready. All good tips above, and more will be incoming. There are as many tips as there are individuals because we are all individuals afterall. Your hubby is tired of failing, just like many of us were. And, just like the rest of us, he'll try again, in the future, when he's recuperated his spirit from his last epic fails. It's normal. We've all been there so many times before to the point we don't believe anything anymore. Tell him he doesn't have to quit smoking if he's not ready, (take the self-imposed pressure off his spirit), but that for his sake and for yours, you'd appreciate it if he at least slowed down. Tell him you know how hard even that is, but that he's more than welcome to use a kit if he'd like to help ease the cravings. Once he accepts this as a tool for getting him through the mediocre cravings, and that he can smoke if he wants to during the cravings that drive even Hercules himself up the wall, he will relax even more. Make sure he smokes outside, not in the house. Before you know it, he'll be wide eyed amazed that he vaped through 16 hours without a craving for a cigarette. And then 3 days. and so forth. Like mentioned, (too), all the kits out there vary so much! They range from wispy 3.2volt clear up to 6volt wonders. Most of us enjoy the 3.7volt to 4.8volt to hit the craving spot. A Vision Spinner, goes from 3.3volt clear up to 4.8volt and all ranges in between. A good flavored eliquid can not be stressed enough. He'll need 2 and a charger made for it specifically. (one to charge while he's vaping the other). If he's a geek, if he loves his electronics and gadgets, check out the iTaste VV/VW V3. Hang in there, he'll come around when he's refreshed and ready to try again, and also when he smells some of the wonderful flavors you are trying. Mountain Dew, Tab, Ry4, Butterscotch Espresso, Caramel Cappuccino, Grape, etc... are a few of the interesting ones that beginners usually enjoy. Pina Colada is another. Banana this, banana that,... Oh, there are so many. There are many fantastic eLiquid blenders out there too, and I highly recommend trying one of the list that has recommended by others here at the forum. Good luck to you!!

    Vapor Cafe is open

The juice is actually Vapor Cafe's own house blend. While they do carry 3 of Totally Wicked's flavors, the house blends are the ones that are sampled. I agree with you that it's awesome to have a real vape store nearby and yes way too much of my money WILL be spent there!! They aren't exclusive to Totally Wicked but they do have quite a lot of their stuff. Mr. Wicked sure looks cool on my new Nova. Does anyone know if the heads on the Vision Vivi Nova are compatible with the Totally Wicked Nova?? The owner is even looking into getting some ProVari (if he can) so I will keep you posted when I have to fight the temptation to buy a mini.

    Vapor Cafe is open

Ok, I stopped in today to see the new vape store and I had an excellent time. They carry a whole bunch of supplies from the Totally Wicked line and I got one of these (in black) Novas: http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.com/products/replacement-coil-systems/replacement-coil-systems/rcs-stv-nova-kit-2-product.html I also got a Kanger T3 in smoke color. Had to walk away from the Zmax mod, but it was nice to see one there. The juice they carry is flippin' awesome, they make their own juice there. The juice setup is very original. They have a menu like when you go to a restaurant. If you want to sample, they have pre-filled cartos and give you a drip tip to use and keep for free. I tried RY4 but ended up buying the French Vanilla Cafe because it was such a unique flavor. I put it in the Kanger and haven't been able to put it down since... I was correct in the previous post regarding their hours and the people there are uber-friendly. Overall I give them 3 thumbs up and will definately be re-stocking that juice. They said they were purposely waiting to get the online site finished until they first had the store in order. So soon that will be available to anyone out of the area that is curious. I can't believe how awesome this juice is... wow I can't leave it alone!!!

  30. I don't have a hypothesis, but I'll give you a bit more info on me - in case it helps. I started out smoking full flavor cigarettes. Now this was waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy back when cigarettes were 45 cents a pack. When you could buy them in machines anywhere and everywhere - with just some spare change. When there weren't very many different brands and there certainly weren't any lights or ultra lights. I went down to lights a lot of years ago when I was going to quit smoking because of the price. By then they had jumped to $1.00 a pack. I figured if I cut down on the nic, I might be able to wean myself off of them. Nope. Didn't work. But I stayed with the lights for years and years. Then I did the same thing when I switched to ultra lights a few years ago when they jumped to $2.00 a pack. Still didn't help me quit. Nothing helped until I learned about and tried vaping. I did start with the 36mg, but quickly dropped to 24mg. I was probably at 18mg the longest, but I dropped very quickly down to 6mg and then 3mg. But that could be because I was smoking ultra lights at last. I don't know. I never thought about it. I just know the complete switch for me was the easiest thing ever and I had tried several different ways and devices to quit before and none of them worked.
