  1. Welcome to VT Suzanne. Congrats on switching to vaping. Todd over at Vaperite is a good guy. You might want to go back and have them teach you some pointers. Feel free to browse the forum here. There is a lot of info available.

  3. Hi all! I just got into vaping when an old friend of mine actually bought me an ego-c for my 30th bday (which just passed on Friday). When I posted on Twitter that I wanted to quit smoking analogs (cold turkey) when I turned 30, he went online and purchased me a kit from ConstantVapor.com. I got my kit June 11th, and have been analog free since then. When my BF smokes analogs around me, the smell of it makes me want to gag. I honestly can't believe I used to smoke cigarettes for so long! BF is actually thinking of getting a kit for himself, since I started, just so that we can vape together. To be honest, vaping has been the best decision for my health that I've made in a long time.

Sheep. I still have a couple iClear 16s and they perform well. I'll keep them until I run out of coils or I sit accidently sit on them. (Yeah don't ask). I found they leaked a little bit if you tip them so I kept them topped off but thats the only issue I had with them. Well, i would get a dry hit from them if I was really vaping full steam ahead. The T2, I have found gives slightly better vape, slightly better draw and flavor but Im pretty sure it wicks faster than the iClear. And it doesnt leak even if i carry it upside down in my pocket. I bought 1 T3. (Not the MT3) and it leaked. And I tried to do alk kinds of stuff to fix it. I probably got a bad one. Plus I did not like my top heavy rig so I abandoned it. So I'm happy with the T2 for now That's just my experience.

    Please Help

Clean the connections on the batteries with a q tip or a napkin. And then clean the bottom of the tank. That's might be an issue. And make sure it's securely threaded on there and not cross threaded.

    Jargon For Noobs

Sometime the vets on the forums tend to use terms and slag for some of the most common items, methods and hardware for vaping. This is not the ultimate guide but should make some of the terms a little clearer. (I hope)... Basic Jargon Vapor - Vapor is the substance exhaled when using an electronic cigarette which may look similar to cigarette smoke. Vaping - The act of using an Electronic Cigarette (as opposed to "smoking", as the device creates a vapor rather than smoke). Vape - Used often in place of the word smoke. I vape, I'm vaping. Batt - Battery. Atty - Electronic component that turns the eJuice into vapor. Cartridge or Cart - The part of a three piece electronic cigarette which contains the liquid. These come blank (with no liquid), or prefilled. Cartomizer or Carto - The part of a two piece electronic cigarette which contains the liquid. These come blank (with no liquid), or prefilled. Analog - Traditional tobacco cigarette. DIY - Do It Yourself. Dripping - To place a few drops of liquid directly onto the atomizer instead of using a cartridge. Drip Tip or DT - A special attachment used to make it easier to drip eliquid directly onto the atomizer. Mod - Modified (custom built) e-cigarette. TH - Throat Hit a strong feeling in the back of the throat when vaping. Primer Puff - A short, quick mouth inhale on the electronic cigarette similar to the action when smoking a pipe or cigar. This heats up the atomizer before a full draw. PV or Personal Vaporiser - An electronic cigarette. Some prefer to use this term as the word 'cigarette' has a lot of negative connotations associated with it that do not apply to PVs. PCC - Personal Charging Case / Portable Charger Case. Passthrough or PT - A USB adapter for the Electronic Cigarette which screws onto the atomizer like a battery, but draws power from a USB port. E-Liquid / E-Juice E-Liquid / E-Juice - A Flavored or unflavored liquid for use in an electronic cigarette, usually (but not always) containing nicotine. VG - Vegetable Glycerin PG - Propylene Glycol PEG - Propylethylene Glycol PGA - Pure Grain Alcohol NPG - Not containing Propylene Glycol. Sometimes used as a synonym to Vegetable Glycerin. Nic - Nicotine Cartridge Related Filler - The clump of fibers that hold the liquid in the cartridge. Stuffing - Another term for filler. BFM - Blue Foam Mod. (cart filler material) Dripping - To place a few drops of liquid directly onto the atomizer instead of using a cartridge. Dry Smoking - Same thing as dripping, referring to the fact that the cartridge us usually not filled, therefore dry. Tailpiping - Vaping directly from the atomizer without using a mouthpiece/cartridge. Drip Tip or DT A special attachment used to make it easier to drip eliquid directly onto the atomizer. Topping Up/Off - To add a few drops of liquid to a partially used cartridge to prolong its use. Measurements LR - Low Resistance HV - High Voltage (typically a 5 or 6 volt ecigarette) IMR - A battery with lower internal resistance and a high discharge rate, good for high drain applications like ecigarettes. in - inch (also abbreviated ") (1 inch = 25.4 mm) mm - millimeter (1 mm = 0.039 inch) cm - centimeter (1 cm = 0.394 inch) oz - ounce (1 fluid oz = 29.5 ml) ml - milliliter (1 ml = 0.034 fluid ounce) cc - cubic centimeter (1 cc = 1 ml) mg - milligram (often used as measure of nicotine per ml of eliquid) mA - milliamp (often used as a measure of available power) mAh - milliamp hour (often used as a measure of battery capacity/duration Forum Phrases PM - Private Message Troll - Somebody who makes a statement with the intention of annoying or angering other posters. This person usually ends up banned.

    Joke of the Day :)

A husband, tired of his wife asking him how she looks, buys her a full-length mirror. This does little to help, as now she just stands in front of the mirror, looking at herself, asking him how she looks. One day, fresh out of the shower, she is yet again in front of the mirror, now complaining that her breasts are too small. Uncharacteristically, the husband comes up with a suggestion. “If you want your breasts to grow, then every day take a piece of toilet paper and rub it between your breasts for a few seconds.” Willing to try anything, the wife fetches a piece of toilet paper, and stands in front of the mirror, rubbing it between her breasts. “How long will this take?” she asks. “They’ll grow larger over a period of years,” he replies. ... The wife stops. “Why do you think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between my breasts everyday will make my breasts grow over the years?” she asks. The husband shrugs, “Why not, it worked for your ass, didn’t it?”

iTaste VV version 3 with VW

The Innokin iTaste VV version 3 with VW and passthrough This is one I'll be saving up for! They're not expensive, about 50 for the kit with the iClear's added. I love the retractable charger! I hope they are as sturdy as they look and stand the test of time. I already want to recommend them to others lol. Patience dear, patience.

    New to vaping!

Hey everyone! Name is Jill, and I just wanted to say Hi to all the people on here. I'm pretty new to vaping, but I'm learning and loving it so far! I started with a couple disposables and took the plunge and bought a Lavatube Version 2. Did not like that at all! I found a local e-cig store, thankfully. And I purchased an Ego Kit. Super happy with my e-cig now! So happy I can quit smoking cigarettes! Anyways I hope to learn a lot from all you "veterans" of the vaping world! Later! Jill R.

  12. That's a good point. Speaking of lotterys I won a little over $150.00 in NC last night on powerball -which will help offset some of the money I used nonlinear this weekend purchasing new flavors of juice.

  13. I have a ECG (Electronic Cigarette Generation) e-cig (that I got for free from a friend) and a Vapor Bar vaporizer (it says "RIVA" on the inside of the battery where the threads are at)....and I have 2 30ml bottles of 16mg Nic e-juices (Beach Bum and Cotton Candy)

  15. vapcigs ? Never heard of em before. Why didn't they research before buying? Impulsive purchase? Get it while they're thinking about trying it? If it's a knock off, I hope they go out of business. If it's actually good quality, I wish them the best. Chargers should have built in overcharging protection. So should the eCigs. That's one of the things I love about the Provari. Not only does the Provari have tons of built in protection, so does the battery charger I use, the iCore intelli-charger v2. The iCore charger is great for all my IMR batteries for all my Mods.

  16. When you do find a juice you like get lots of it. Im sitting here looking at 70+ ml that I cannot use yet as it still needs steeping to be usable. Try to find juices that are pre steeped if possible. Having lots of juice around that you cant use is hard. The nic is calling but having little to feed it is a bad day. My shipment should have been friday of stuff I know I can vape now but it wont be here until monday now. Hurting weekend for sure. Whatever you get as you learn you will get more and different equipment anyway so just get what you need to start. Thats the most important thing. Staying off tobacco. Thats the only important thing here in the first few days. Welcome!

  18. This is the 2nd news article Ive read involving a ecig battery exploding in the car. Probably not a good place to charge a battery.
    1 point
  19. Yeah..... Idk lithium ion as a general product is unstable anyway. And that not the first battery to explode on someone in any device. I had a beard trimmer with a lithium ion battery and while it was charging it blew up. It cause no harm or real damage other then some soot on the wall but it still exploded... But I didn't go sue the manufacturer. People fail to realize that over use of a charger on fully charged batteries of any type are just as harmful as only half charging them and using them until they are dead.

  20. Number 3 above all else. Whatever can fail will fail eventually, sometimes prematurely. Vape supplies aren't like cigarettes. You can't just drive to any store at any hour and buy more. Semper paratus and enjoy the future!
    1 point
  21. That's the nature of the beast sadly. The coil likely burned open. They should last longer than that but it's not uncommon for one to fail prematurely.

    MtBakerVapor E Juice

4 extra flavor shots? I thought the flavor is already too strong. I had to dilute it a bit. I like my 555 with light tobacco and very light peanut flavor. Anything that close to the smell of a fresh, unlit 555. I got Almond Delight as a freebie. I like it a lot, but could not find it on the flavor listing. I got most of the fruit flavors at MBV. MBV offers dragon fruit, jackfruit, star fruit, papaya, guava, but no lychee?. I'm still looking for a place that offers longan, mangosteen, any of the soursop/sweetsop family like custart apple, corossolier or cherimoyas.

  24. Once again, best change (advice ) so far......

  25. If I were you, and this is just my opinion, mind... I'd go with a 24 mg juice. If it's a bit strong you don't have to vape as much or as often but you'll get the hit you need. Initially, I'd start with that and then go to a lower level. If you're coming off of cigars, that's a lot of nicotine compared to a cigarette. Just my two cents.

I went from smaller cigars at probably 12 to 18mg all the way to cubanos at way over 24mg I am sure. If you didnt have something to eat with them you would get sick. Fortunately I didnt get so many of those. Pipe tobacco I have no clue as they dont usually grade them by nic ratings. The next juices I get I will get 18mg probably. Thanks Tam. And Bebop12, I will try a T2 of course. The sky is Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited for me! (CAVU- old Air Force term)

All the different delivery systems for the batteries are a matter of personal preference, which is why we tend to have so many different ones to try to find the "perfect vape". What works for one doesn't work well for another, just like juices: what tastes great to one person will taste like smelly socks to another. The only thing I can tell you is to try different clearomizers until you find one that works for you. In my experience the bottom feeders work better for me, with the exception of my T2s. I'm in love with these with the short wick but I don't think short wicks are available anymore. Good thing I bought nearly all of Brian's stock at The Veteran Vaper when he still had them. Lol! Several forum members here love the T2 with the longer wicks and swear by them. I'm looking at you bcartervol98. Aaaaaand I just noticed that my MT3 that has juice in it is leaking but that's also a good clearomizer to use. I just left it sitting too long is all. Half the fun of vaping is trying new stuff. We here at Vapor Talk are very good about helping you spend money on all kinds of new toys. Join the club and start trying the current "new and improved" gadgets, it's still cheaper than smoking cigarettes.

Could be that your center post has been pushed down. Here's a youtube vid that shows you how to fix that. The second vid shows how to pull the post of your cartomizer or clearomizer. I'd try to pull up the post of your battery first, though. Hope one of these fixes your problem.

  31. Welcome to VT and a huge Congrats to both of you!!! and, I hate to say it, but CanadianExotic is right... but you'll be fine as long as you don't look at such beautiful new things like the Nemesis, or the Roller, or the new Provair bottom feeder, or the Paps lux2, or the Poldiac, the RBA's, or the OMG I won't even say it, or you'll be kicking me in the butt all the way to you know where. .... Have fun, like we do, and you'll always come out the winner!! A broke winner yes, but a winner!!

  33. Welcome to the forum, and the beginning of your new life!!! Being new, getting everything from one vendor is attainable, though highly unlikely. Yes, you can get reasonably priced starter kits that will come with everything to get you started. However, you're going to need a few extra things to keep you going, and give you the best chances for success. Juice, for instance, is highly subjective. You are going to want to buy way more than you need. And, you're going to want them in a variety of flavors, and nicotine strengths to find what you like. Trust when I say that you really do not want to face the prospect of staring at your last 1ml while you still haven't received confirmation your next juice order has even shipped. My best advice is to: 1) Do your research, and do not be too hasty with your first purchase 2) Buy more than what you need to start 3) Always have a backup or four 4) Learn to properly draw off your e-cig 5) NEVER LOOK BACK!!!! Hope this helps!!!

  34. The only online vendor I've pulled that off with successfully with without any complaints about anything I ordered through them was Totally Wicked (http://totallywicked-eliquid.com). That was also the vendor that got me started with vaping before I knew anything about e-cig forums, and they were extremely helpful, to the point of sending me free products when I had issues with the ones I bought and it became obvious that I just couldn't get the hang of it at the time due to being so new to vaping. What kind of APV are you looking for? If you're looking for something small and more cig-like, you might like the eGo Spinners, which allow you to adjust the voltage. If you don't mind a larger device, there's an entire world of APVs out there to suit any need and any budget. Rather than list them all, or list my preferences, you're really best off listing a few you're interested in here and seeing what others have to say about them that have tried them. Personally I find these are a lot cheaper to maintain after the intitial purchase than the standalone batteries like eGo, and also carry a lot more features and variety. As for a delivery system, look for rebuildable tanks and/or cartomizer tanks if you're wanting to pack the most juice... these vary from 2.5ml to a whopping 5ml. The initial investment for the tank can get pretty high, but the reward is reaped in how cheap it is to replace their coils forever afterwards.

  36. being able to use it around my asthmatic 5 year old son without feeling guilty. saving easily $100 a month when compared to cigs (and yes that's including the price of all the hardware, and i have alot lol) being able to run several miles at the gym without hacking a lung up not smelling like an ashtray knowing i'm not putting carcinogens into my body or the air around me actually knowing the $1.00 i spent on air fresheners for my car wasn't a waste not having to roll my window down in the rain while driving to "smoke" not having to stand outside during the middle of winter and freeze my *** off for nicotine think that about sums it up.
