    Thank You Marketplace!

For anybody looking for quality service and supplies: My first purchase through the Marketplace was a great experience. navigating a new site is always a bit tough, but I found the marketplace to be very user friendly. I love the choices from the participating vendors. My order was placed on june 23rd and my products arrived on June 26th and June 27th, and thats shipping to Hawaii. Much like Amazon, Each vendor has its own shipping cost, but some of them offer free shipping. I happened to pick one free and one with low shipping. The Marketplace still has some room to grow, but I was able to find everything I wanted and even somethings I didn't know I wanted. Being able to choose from multiple vendors saved a lot of time jumping from site to site determining who had what. I see much more shopping with the Marketplace in my future!!

    MG and size to buy?

You definitely need to learn the basic safety steps before considering purchase. 1. Childproof safety caps 2. gloves, goggles, aprons, long sleeves, 3. well ventilated room 4. all pets and children locked in the other room with the xbox and a grandma 5. ejuice calculator for exacting measurements. 6. the importance of washing down with hot sudsy water immediately all surfaces and any drips or spills. I am brand new to DIY and chose to make things much easier on myself by starting out with 150mls of 18mg unflavored nicotine, pg base. This way, I can concentrate on the flavorings as I learn the ropes. I also have a bottle 24mg ready for when I am ready to dilute it halfway (easy to calculate down to 12mg) and I also have glass bottles stored in the freezer. Not everyone needs it this easy, but I sure do. Starting with 60mg is a little more calculating, like Kit said, but easy enough for folks like Kitsune and the average math person. (I'm not so average at math). There are several calculators for phone and pc available. BreakTru has one listed here in the forum, complete with recipes and the works. BreakTru has a great calculator.

    Hello everyone

I have been vaping on and off now for about a year. 1st time was with a pen size ecig from v2.com. I had stopped smoking for about 5 months and then started again when I left my last job. Fathers Day I stopped again and decided to step it up and got 2 ego batteries. I haven't had an anolog cig for over 3 weeks now. I need some help so look out for me. I will start a new topic. Thanks everyone

    Post A Recipe Here

I made a blackberry cheesecake today: 80/20 split of pg/vg at 24mg nicotine 5 drops Bavarian cream 6 drops cheesecake 8 drops blackberry 3 drops whipped cream 2 drops sweetener That makes about 15ml. It's a little light so let it steep for a day and it should be stronger.

    MG and size to buy?

well i do have a 5 year old who would be running around but no pets. that part i did not know about nicotine. i guess it makes sense bc its a drug and you are able to overdose on it... but i never thought about that. so its something to keep in mind and i would probably be mixing to 24 mg's because thats what i use now. anyway i will definitely keep that in mind! thanks kitsune!

    MG and size to buy?

No worries. 125 ml can mix a decent amount of juice. If you are mixing to 18 mg......you would use 9 Mls of nicotine liquid to create 30 Mls. At this point I wouldn't go higher until you get the hang of things. Initially I started with 36 mg, easier to mix to 18 mg for me. Just keep in mind the more concentrated the nicotine, the more toxic. Significant risk if there are kids and pets around.

  8. As I get farther the more I want a mod. The mini Provari has my attention lol. Just need to research a bit more before going there. I would still use my Spinners and basic Ego threaded batteries a lot I'm sure but I'm itching to get something new too. There are Kanger Pros in my future too as soon as the mini becomes available.

    Thank You Marketplace!

I also like that I can trust the vendors at the Market Place and don't have to worry if I'll get a quality product from an untried source. If Chris trusts them enough to have them here, then I'm more than happy to give them my business.

  10. Welcome to the forum, and the beginning of your new life!!! Being new, getting everything from one vendor is attainable, though highly unlikely. Yes, you can get reasonably priced starter kits that will come with everything to get you started. However, you're going to need a few extra things to keep you going, and give you the best chances for success. Juice, for instance, is highly subjective. You are going to want to buy way more than you need. And, you're going to want them in a variety of flavors, and nicotine strengths to find what you like. Trust when I say that you really do not want to face the prospect of staring at your last 1ml while you still haven't received confirmation your next juice order has even shipped. My best advice is to: 1) Do your research, and do not be too hasty with your first purchase 2) Buy more than what you need to start 3) Always have a backup or four 4) Learn to properly draw off your e-cig 5) NEVER LOOK BACK!!!! Hope this helps!!!

  11. Chris I smoked Salem's and I really like Vapor Talk's Mentha. I go with all PG, 24 mg nicotine and find that it does the trick for me. It also tastes better around 4-4.2 volts. Good luck

    Vivi Nova vs Kanger T2

And just to add, FWIW I recommend places that I have gotten great service and deals. I have never received a discount from anyone for shilling their stuff. I mainly order from Veteran Vaper and VapeDudes because they have given me the most consistent prices, availability, and service BUT I have given away flavors I have ordered by a 3-1 margin easily over those I have liked. I would have saved hundreds of dollars if I had the ability to try the flavors and stuff before I bought it. I only wish I had the capital and knowledge to open a vape store here in Knoxville. I think it would jam lol.

    Vivi Nova vs Kanger T2

Solid explanation AquaTroy, and I never meant to get anything started. I rarely pay attention to reviews anymore since the flavors of liquids that get great reviews are rarely ones I like and the same for accessories. The Ce4 gets great reviews and I dislike them very much now that I have switched to the T2. Let me ask you this as a fan of the KPT. What about the KPT is superior to the T2 that it is worth roughly 3x more per unit? I guess that was overall my general question. The T2 is called a "clearomizer" and the KPT and the Vivi are called "tanks". Is it more to do with size or is there more to it than that? Now that I have it down to the two flavors I am vaping 90%+ of the time, if there is an advantage to a tank I want to get a couple to try. What say you?

    Vivi Nova vs Kanger T2

Okay, let me straighten this out.. It's not a "my stuff is better that your stuff" thing.. It's a "I have not used this product, but I have heard that it's bad" thing.. You can't believe everything you read on the internut, I have read this and I have read that..so what.. I have used the thing, have practical experience using it, have found all the pros and cons, and how to improve them, yet your the expert. Stating that you have some type of a consensus that the forum as a whole, is what set me off. Stating your some kind of expert, and should listen to you, even tho you haven't used the appliance, but you've read about it is what set me off. Replying on every single post because you state your unemployed and have nothing better to do, and can't even afford juice is what set me off, I apologize to all who were offended Bcarter s reviewsi are on point, as well as many others, some are just blowing smoke, and actually I think some are supplier linked and always pointing in the same direction, and getting that discount... You can smell em... I have never tried to provide any type of expert knowledge about anything to anyone. Only if I have used it, broke it, fixed it or built it, myself. I might read Road and Track and Aquatics Monthly never missing a issue, but I'm not going to tell you what car to buy, Or you bought a bad car, unless I have owned it myself. Once again SORRY That i blew out my jets, but felt necessary, but won't happen again I should of just asked myself....what would Tam do?!?!!

    Vivi Nova vs Kanger T2

We do try hard to keep things friendlier. Many of us are here, because we don't like the attitudes on ECF. Occasionally tempers flare, just like in any family. Just sorry it got caught up on your thread. I love all the variety and opinions on the forum, I stay here because I really am a VT fangirl !!

Time out....Time to play nice. This isn't ECF, we really do try to keep things a little more friendly and family oriented. Name calling is certainly not a part of this forum. I am sorry your thread was hijacked bcarter. several people have tried to redirect toward discussion. discussion and differing opinions are welcome, bashing...not so much !

    Vivi Nova vs Kanger T2

Even with a fresh coil, my ViVi Nova never provided an abundance of flavor compared to devices I've since tried, but it never leaked. By contrast, every clearomizer I've ever used has leaked sooner or later. I've never had a Boge carto leak on me, and I've also never experienced a leak with my AGA-T2 RBA, which is a flavor beast. My SmokTech RSST, while also a flavor beast, does leak some liquid into the connection area.

And AquaTroy sorry if I seemed harsh, I just have never seen that type of thing here. The lack of forum fighting and insults is what attracted me here from the other forum. Your post seemed very insulting not toward myself (I hope) but other members that by my estimation were not "reviewing" a product as much as discussing it.

    Vivi Nova vs Kanger T2

Having a bad day? I am the OP and never even mentioned the Pro-Tank in my comparison. Get a job? IN my humble opinion that kind of crosses the line between spirited discussion and just being mean spirited and disagreeable when there is really no call for it. Just my two cents, take it or leave it. I can buy anything I want within reason, but see no reason to buy one tank when I can get 3 of the ones I do like for the same price. I generally have disliked Vision products and prefer Kanger so if I ever want to go with an upgraded tank it would probably be a KPT but for now, I am happy with T2. I havent used either, because no one has given a reason that compels me to. I love my T2s and will continue to use them going forward. I just was wondering if there was some hidden reason I have never heard of to spend the extra money for a Vivi Nova. As I said, I generally steer away from Vision products, and find Kanger to be much more consistent in performance and lack of problems.

    Gear is here.

I kept 3 packs of smokes, plus the 1/2 pack I had been working on when I found vaping. took me about a year to finally throw them away. I like my 650 and 900 Mah batteries, much easier to carry around when I am out. The Higher the Mah, the longer it will last between charges. With my 650 and 900 I always keep a spare on or near me when I am out. Backups, backups, backups. Before long you will have many different types and sizes.

  23. What are you using to vape. I started with Blu's and they didn't work for me. I switched to a tank system with a 650MaH battery and totally got off the cigs.

  24. Since I started vaping I have not even tried a tobacco taste. I vape mostly fruity and dessert flavors. I also smoked 2 packs of newports shorts in a box.

  25. If you feel like something's missing that might mean you aren't getting enough nicotine. What is the mg on nic in the juice you're using right now? Also, that maple taste? That *might* be too much VG in your liquid. I'd go with a higher nic -- try 24 mg or so -- and lower the VG ratio, more PG. My favorite juice vendor is EC Blends. They allow you to make all kinds of customizations to your juice. Try the 5 ml bottles at first so you can find what you like. At $2.99, it's a great way to experiment. As you get into vaping more you'll more than likely grow out of wanting something to taste like the analogs you left behind. At least that's what's been reported by quite a few of us.

  26. Try mixing some different flavors. I ended up mixing a menthol tobacco, mint and some ice for a Newport smoker.

  27. Okay, noob here, been reading for a while but had to join and talk about this powerful menthol I just came across....Arctic Wolf from VaporGod. I've tried them all, Cold Creek, Menthol Explosion, the Dekangs, the Halo's, all the Ice's, non compare to this mix, AND it doesn't gunk up my cartos. I'm on an 808 with 5v PT and my carts don't heat up with this stuff, even on a long hard drag. The sensation is like throwing back a shot (or 5) of Peppermint Schnapps. It is STRONG though, so beware. You can feel it in your sinuses and it stays. There is no other flavor, no tabacco undertones and not sweet (I'd prefer it a tad sweeter but a few drops of sweet will fix that). Other reviews say the vapor production isn't that great, but I get lots of great vapor on my simple little set up. It lasts and lasts too and doesn't start to taste funky when the cart starts to dry out (which I might add took a while, dribbled 8 drops last night and didn't refill until this morning). So if you're looking for a powerful menthol, this is it. It's my new all day vape. Cheers

    Diy-How To Basics

Question 1. Yes, you can use different types of flavoring but not all are going to give good results. Most of the flavorings I use contain artificial and/or natural flavors, PG and not much else but sometimes contain small amounts of water, alcohol, and so on. There are some ingredients that are un-friendly to attys and cartos but I can't give you a complete list off the top of my head; for instance you shouldn't use any anything that contains sugar or honey. Most of the flavorings I use (Lorann's, FlavourArt, Cappellas, FlavorWest, Perfumers Apprentic, CK products, Tasty Puffs) are fairly strong and sometimes very strong and it depends on the flavor. A very strong flavor might only need 2%-5% in the final mix but most fall into 15%-20% range. If a flavor requires more than 25% to flavor a DIY recipe it probably is diluted to the point where it is no good for vaping. Question 2. There are flavors that add sweetness without changing the original flavor much or sometimes enhance it. Cotton candy and Marshmallow are 2 examples. Ethol Maltol(EM) is the ingredient in cotton candy and it is what a lot of us use. I've also used suclarose. I know to use these in small amounts because too much will ruin a recipe. VG may add a bit of sweetness along with more vapor, this is why I like to use some in all my juice but I prefer mostly PG. Question 3. You can get a better TH by using a bit of menthol flavoring. As for extracting your own nicotine, well that sounds like tricky business and I don't think it can be done safely without proper testing equipment and knowledge. I've extracted a tea and tobacco flavoring by heating leaves in PG but I wasn't trying to extract nicotine and I don't think that I got much if any out but I was able to get a diluted flavoring that was usable.
