  1. The tricky thing about your question is knowing what you're looking for. That's something you have to answer for yourself. Do you want a basic e-cig, eGo, or mod? Variable voltage or something straight-forward? What are you comfortable with holding in your hands, or carrying around in public? You can ask a dozen vapers what their ultimate setup is, and you're going to receive two dozen answers. Every device has its dedicated fan base....and some of these fans can get quite zealous about their devices. I don't know how many times I see lost newbies looking for advice, only to get a hundred people screaming in favor of their preferred device with little regard to the needs of the person asking. My best advice is to go to YouTube, and look up Pbusardo. He's a pretty big player in the Vaping community, and a trusted source of information. He put out a video at the beginning of this year called "The Beginners Guide to E-Cigarettes." My suggestion is for you to watch that, and let the information sink in. At that point, you'll be armed with a better idea of what is out there, and what questions you should ask with regards to finding your ultimate setup.

    Hi

I am not the guy for that advice either. I have used two attys total, the CE4 which I did not like and the Kanger T2 which I love. Another piece of advice. Dont get too hung up on finding everything in one place. I get my hardware from theveteranvaper.com, my batteries from sweet-vapes.com, and my liquids from vapedudes.com and sweet-vapes.com. I will stand behind any of those three sites 100%. I think what you are talking about is a "direct drip" atomizer where you drop a few drops in, vape it, then repeat over and over again.

    Prime CE4s?

I am a big reviewer and, unless like some of the places like eliquidmarket they "vet" their reviews before publishing them, they will respond. Personally I would just not worry about it, but I am fortunate enough for a $20 mistake to not be a big deal and not worth the hassle. Others may feel differently. I would just bash them everywhere you can write a review and never order from there again. I am feeling repetitive here, but for hardware you will not get better quality and customer service than from Brian at theveteranvaper.com. Like my 2 liquid suppliers, he is the only place I go for attys and accessories.

    Hi

Again I disclaim that, when it comes to flavors, it is extremely subjective. What tastes good to me is not necessarily what tastes good to others. A lot of people love liquids that I would not vape if I had a gun to my head and flavors I like others may detest equally badly. I gave away a bunch of flavors I tried and didnt like about a month ago after trying a little bit of everything. The only thing for certain for me is that Sweet-Vapes.com is my go to supplier for tobacco and VapeDudes is my go to supplier for everything else. For example I ordered some "Dekang" liquids after reading great reviews, and they tasted like moldy sweat socks smell. For me, finding the right PG/VG mixture and nicotine levels is almost as important as the flavors I like. I bet I would like some of the flavors I gave away had I not ordered 16-18mg and 50-50 at first. Live and learn lol.

  5. Oh, in case you were wondering: My setup consists of mechanical mods, and rebuildable atomizers. Personally, I have found this setup to be the most cost-effective, and reliable system. For a couple hundred bucks, you can amass enough gear to last you a couple years. And, if anything goes awry, it is almost always easily repaired as the entire system is only as good as you set it up, and maintain it. However, I absolutely DO NOT recommend this setup for beginners. It requires a good deal of research, patience, attention to detail, and some experience vaping under your belt before even THINKING of going down that road!!! When I started, I got a basic eGo / clearomizer combo. I highly recommend this setup to start with, and I still love and use mine to this day!!!

  6. I got my spinners for $24.95 each, the 1300mah, from Sweet-Vapes.com. I would love to support local business but in my city of 100k+ there is only a mall kiosk selling knockoff 808 sticks for $40. As far as I know the spinner is solid state and cannot remove the cells. Two batteries of that quality for $50 cant be a bad deal though.

    Hi

Troy, you're silly. 'Tam' isn't infallable, she's just giving voice to what works best for her and what she's learned through trial and error as well as passing on some really good advice she got here at VT. Smokeless, direct dripping isn't for everyone, and it's probably something you'll want to try later when you're more comfortable with vaping. With someone who's new to all this I'd recommend a clearomizer. Like Troy said, maybe a Kangor T2, Vivi Nova, Vivi Nova mini and/or a Pro Tank. I would most definitely recommend a Vision Spinner variable voltage battery for you. The above clearos will fit on that as well as so many others without having to get an adapter to make it fit. If you can wait a day or two I'd wait for the Vapor Talk Market to open -- it's opening tomorrow! Then, you can have one-stop shopping from all kinds of different vendors all in one place like what you get with Amazon. Just be aware that with different vendors also comes multiple shipping charges but you'd wind up with that anyway when you shop to get all kinds of things. If you don't want to wait, then I'd do the majority of my shopping with Brian at The Veteran Vaper. I've never had a problem with his store, the products are top quality and his customer service is even better. Everyone I've ever recommended to him has always been more than happy. Good luck to you with your new start!

    Hi

Okay, I am not the APV expert and could only suggest what I know, and thats a Tesla, but it's connection is recessed, and some appliances like your T2s won't fit. But it does have ego and 510 threads. I think you can check resistance with an electricians meter also I have over 2 dozen appliances, clearos, vivi novas, t2s, Kanger mtts, and protanks, and my overall choice is the protanks, Pyrex, easy to fill, one solid piece with one opening, easy to replace heads, and a clean clear taste factor. Everything else now tastes like plastic! I have a half dozen protanks and won't be buying plastic again. Mini protanks are supposed to be available in USA this fall, and I will buy a bunch of these also . They have been reviewed as an airy hit, but after a couple days relearning howto puff on one, you get big vapor and a decent TH. a little heavy on a ego batt, but vapes great ! If I had to buy a plastic one again, Smoking Crows CE4s lasted the longest with never a dud Smokeless, I would start with a spinner or twist type ego batt. Only a couple bones more than a regular batt. And a couple different appliances, to see what you like best, don't buy juice in large quantities, and do what Tam says!!

    Hello from Raven1

I smoked for 20 years and made the switch to Vaping. Working full time and being a full time student is a lot but the analog smokes were too much. I even went as far as to shred my own tobacco and have a fresh choice tube filler. Then about a month ago I went to the local shop and started out small. My current setup is an evo 2 and I just hooked up with Go Vista. Mixed feelings about that gig because the mix is good but the second unit failed and they are sending me another unit. But this is a learning curve for me so that is why I joined the forum. TBH I smoke one regular in the AM to get my fix but vape the rest of the day. I plan to quit that 2morrow. As for my name I live in WV but did sound for the Baltimore Ravens for 4 years. Great to be part of a forum where I can learn something. Thanks to you good people for having me.

    Hello from Raven1

Thank you all for having me I see this site as a site to learn about the good product we have and to keep it straight. I drink but don't drive but vaping has probably saved my life at this point. Hats off to Paw Paw and the special place they have there. Thanks Mark it means a lot. I think I will learn a lot here although not a chemist I may have some input from time to time.

    Hi

Depending on if the T2 has eGo cone threading like the Kanger T3, or comes 510 native like the Stardust / CE* style clearomizers, and whether or not the mod you wish to use has eGo cone threading. For example: I know most mechanical mods do not use eGo cone threading, and therefore require an adapter. However, the eVic (I also think the newer version Z-max, and maybe the new version of the Vamo) does use eGo cone threading, and will support most devices using that thread system.

    Peanut butter DIY

I didn't know Capella had a peanut butter flavor, I'll have to try that. I found that Signature has the most realistic flavor. I think it is made by Perfumers Aprentice, not 100%. sure. I just ran out and I'm getting by with a Blue Mist peanut butter cup flavor with a touch of Lorranne peanut butter. Word Up ecig has a real good peanut butter juice and so does Mrs. T's. They are very different from each other but both very good. I wonder what they use....

    Hi

VaporLeaf shipping was fast, and they were very responsive to my questions. My only problem with them is the one flavor I tried from them is among the worst I had ever tried. Again, taste is subjective, but when I shipped all those I gave away last month to Tam the lid on the "Denver Dusk" had leaked a little and she even commented on the musty smell lol. I have stopped paying attention to reviews on liquids and each time I order my 100ml bottles of my all day vape flavors, I usually add one or two 10ml bottles of something new to try.

    Hi

Try Vaporleaf.com, my local b&m, they have a bunch of EVOD kits, nice package. Flavors are crazy when you first quit, what taste good today will be nasty next week...small bottles till your sure you love it, my new rule is but 3 seperate 10s, whe I finish the third I then can buy a 30,50 etc. I was always a tobacco flavor guy, but now loving fruits, and mint choco chip" Anothe great rule of thumb...Do what Tam tells you to do....lol!

    Hi

Hi bcarter - Spearmint taste like doublemint gum!, Strawberry Fields, Juicy Peach, Blue Honey and Candy Cane, LOL I really am a newby! I would never have considered flavors like that. Only because I have always really disliked menthol cigs. Interesting! now if I can only find all the choices in one order. I did want to start with a kit, but I am finding not all the kits have a lot of the suggestions. Like, I feel the 1300mah for me is important and of course the flavor is a important factor as well. I am also a eye candy temp person and I love the look of Vape Dupes! Silly as it sounds but, I am an artist and that kind of thing just crabs me. Love the Dragons!

    Hi

As far as tobacco goes, I have found FOR ME, the only one close to the real thing is "Traditional Tobacco" from sweet-vapes.com. I order it in 80-20 24mg. The American Standard from VapeDudes has a strooooong Maple Taste to it, and I am not a fan of their Classic Tobacco either. The only flavors I do not get from VapeDudes are Tobacco flavors and have found that Sweet-Vapes.com and their line of "Signature Tobacco" and especially their "Traditional Tobacco" is as close as it gets. For me the flavors I have in rotation are Spearmint VapeDudes 70-30 24mg (I never once smoked a menthol, but the Spearmint tastes almost exactly like double-mint gum and I love it, has become an all day vape for me) Strawberry Fields VapeDudes 70-30 24mg Juicy Peach 80-20 24mg from sweet-vapes.com Traditional Tobacco 80-20 24mg from sweet-vapes.com Just ordered 50ml of Blue Honey and Candy Cane (peppermint) from VapeDudes that shipped today, looking forward to trying those Just a note, when I found the tobacco I liked I thought I was in heaven. Then as time passed I have found I am not fond of the flavor of tobacco as an every day vape. I reserve that flavor for when I am drinking beer or liquor and really want a smoke. It works, and for me is the closest thing I have tried but I would branch out and try different things.

    Hi

Hi Tameiki, thank you for your suggestions. I am glad you talked more about the ratios between PG/VG because I am not really big on a huge throat hit even tho I like a lot of smoke. That was really helpful. here is a question... LOL ..How do I get a banner count on my profile that - " I have been smoke free for..." Love that...
