Well my little e-zip arrived! It works as described. Battery life seems to be a couple of hours and lasted through a round of golf...lol It was nice to just have a small compact pv in my pocket rather than an Ego. I have snapped a battery before from it being im my pocket. It came with pre-filled cartos that I really didn't care for but have blanks on the way and that will take care of that. Vapes like an 808 with a 350 mah battery but gets the job done for what I intended it to do. I got a couple of odd looks with it....lol.....................b2 points

A few individual juice reviews
Uma reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
I am going to be frank in my reviews and remember taste is subjective but this has been what I have found so far: VapeDudes (all 16mg in 50-50 mix but plan to order 24mg in 80-20 mix from here on out) American Standard: This is supposed to be a tobacco flavor, but tastes more like pancakes. At first I thought it was ok but I have grown to dislike it and for some reason the vapor doesnt dissipate and hangs around like smoke. Will not reorder Cherry Tobacco: This one should be called "Cherry Chloraseptic" very strong mediciny taste. Will not reorder Blueberry Pie: Ordered this one with the wife in mind but neither of us really like it. Will not reorder but not completely unvapable. WIll go to the back of the shelf for hard times Classic Tobacco: This is my favorite tobacco flavor yet, but would rate as "good" not great. I usually mix it with a little fruity flavor to get a better taste. They recommend letting it steep for a couple weeks, but only ordered a 10ml sample pack and went ahead. Am going to reorder this one and steep as recommended and see if i like it even better! Blackberry: They nailed this one, will be a regular for me. Just emptied my tank as I typed this lol. Strawberry Fields: This is probably my and my wifes favorite flavor. Ordered 50ml yesterday as she hoarded all but a taste of our initial "trying everything out" order. Perfect natural strawberry taste without any aftertaste or candy-jolly rancher feel. Watermelon Drip: This too is a flavor I like a lot. Not super strong melon but will most likely always have a bottle of this in the collection. When mixed with the Classic Tobacco it is very nice! Raspberry: I am not a huge fan of raspberries in food so I didn't know if I would like this one or not but really do. They nailed this one too. I like it a lot and will definitely re-order it. Apple Spice: Simply put, not good. Tasted like rotten apples smell. Grape Vape: Great Taste, solid natural flavor, but for some reason vaping this alone gives me heartburn. Another one that when mixed with the classic tobacco produces a great flavor and no heartburn Sweet-Vapes (All 50-50 mix, std flavor, 18mg but will be ordering 24mg 80-20 from here on out) Sugar Plum: This is a great flavor, will definitely re-order. Very sweet as the name implies but not overly sweet. This is one of my early favorites Juicy Peach: Very close to being tied with (VapeDudes) Strawberry Fields as my favorite overall flavor. Will order again very soon. May be an all day vape for me. Not super sweet, GREAT mixed with classic tobacco. Cannot wait to get their Original Tobacco flavor to mix some with. Watermelon: More of a "candy" taste than the watermelon the VapeDudes calls Watermelon Drip. Probably will not re-order this one. Strawberry: Same as watermelon, a very "jolly rancher" flavor. Probably would love it if I hadnt tried Strawberry Fields already lol. Cherry Candy: Solid flavor, only used it once but found it enjoyable. Not sure if I will reorder this one yet but nothing bad to say about it. Just not a huge fan of the cherry flavors VaporLeaf (50-50 mix 18mg) Denver Dusk: Ordered a small bottle at the recommendation in my "tobacco" thread. Was excited until it arrives and I opened it. I find it smells like moldy sweaty socks and tastes even worse. No offense to the company which seems to be great and even corrected an order I made a mistake on but this tastes like tobacco about like ketchup tastes like hotsauce. Will not use or re-order UNLESS after steeping a couple weeks it really changes the flavor. Almost unable to tell the Dekang Turkish Blend and this apart. Eliquidmarket (80-20 mix 18 mg) Turkish Blend and Cherry: I can put both of these together because they both equally suck. Very chemical tasting, like they left a film on my tongue. For the price I was excited but shortly remembered a lesson I learned long ago. You get what you pay for. Will never order Dekang again, probably will end up trashing these unless for some reason my wife likes them. Just posting what I find works for me and doesn't work for me. Remember everyone likes different things so no offense if I bashed anyones favorite vape lol. I am just getting into this and trying to find what works for me. I do not like coffee in any form, and still am on a quest to find a great tobacco flavor. I cannot imagine liking the sweet dessert flavors. I am finding I like the fruit flavors best and when mixed with a decent tobacco flavor it really becomes something I like a lot. As I branch out and try others I will post reviews in this thread. I think for the time being Sweet-vapes and The Vape Dudes will be my regular "go to" suppliers. I was in a hurry to get rid of the mall garbage and get some real stuff so I did not put a lot of thought into my initial order because I wanted it to get here fast so I didnt run back to an analog. Over 3 weeks without one! Longest I have been in 27 years and this is my first attempt to quit. I actually prefer vaping now, the wife is "getting there" lol. EDIT to add that I just realized this may belong in the Eliquid reviews section, mods please move if necessary. Sorry about that!1 point -

In Knoxville TN, a city of 100k+ counting students at UT, the closest Vapor Store is about 80 miles away. Once I know more about this overall and legislation becomes apparent what is going to happen I may open one here. I have ordered 100% of the stuff I use online. I started buying a "Topaz" kit at the mall for my wife and I for a little over $200 total with a few extra disposable cartos and it was garbage but they are the only place in town that sells anything other than Blu, NJoy, and Nfinity. Funny that now we together have 4 Vision Spinners 1300mah, 4 eGoT 1000mah, 20 CE4 Clearos and have spent less than those damn cheap 808 (I think they were, cigarette style pull on them to activate end glows and 3-4 hour battery life and about the same to charge) starter kits cost. It is truly amazing the difference between the cig styles like Blu and NJoy and the real stuff. Its like going from a McDonalds cheeseburger to a Filet Mignon.1 point -

Hey Bebop, Thanks for the advice. I live in a small town in Georgia so my options of vapor stores are very limited. We have a couple of Tobacco shops and 1 Vapor store that I am aware of. That is why I am looking at a lot of online stores. I did buy my first Blu from a convenient store and like your wife it was good but not enough to keep me from going back to cigarettes. Then I went to a local tobacco store and bought an Elite eGo kit. Just an eGo battery, an Clearomizer and the charger you plug into a computer. I also bought a 10ml bottle of basic 18mg menthol juice. That was all it took for me, a woman who smoked 1 1/2 to 2 packs of Marlboro reds a day for 40 years, to quit cold turkey. I still can't believe it. There is just so many things to try and it can get very expensive but that is why I am getting the advice of the pros. Is the eGo battery 900 mah and a Clearomizer what you have stuck with?1 point -
Vapelite also carries them I believe. Jen, didn't you start with an eGo? If you did the eGo charger will work on the Spinners1 point

I am relatively new here and I'm still experimenting heavily. I have been off analogs completely for 6 weeks now and it's amazing. I started with an eGo C set up with a cartomizer which was a fine start and got me off the analogs. Then I switched to the iclear 16 which gave me better performance and I loved that but I had some minor problems with the quality. I tried a T3 tank which was pretty close to disastrous as I had leak problems and taste issues that I couldn't really get over. Then a friend recommended the T2 and I have reached a plateau now that I am VERY happy with. Short wick and 2.0 res atomizer. I have been very happy with my Joyetec eGo batteries that have been solid performers , one a variable. I'm really happy with T2. Great vape, great flow and taste. And I love the "pull". Very natural. My whole game now is finding the right juices. Nowhere have I found more inconsistency than in the juices themselves. Still searching for that right combination of pg/vg and nic. All in all though, I couldn't be happier that I'm finally off the analogs. 6 weeks and counting. All is good1 point

One month tobacco-free

Best deal on CE4 I have found. I believe CE4, V2, and Stardust are all synonymous. http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl&product_id=1156&category_id=391 point -
A short will cause an awful metallic taste. A dry wick will cause an awful painful metallic taste. You might have both problems! Try doing the Reo Squonk, to test for wicking. Cover the airhole with your finger, take a dry draw (do not press the button of your mod), suck the juice up the wick. Now take a drag. If it's good, and non-painful, your wick needs to be improved for the juice to climb. If there is still a metallic taste, there is still a short somewhere in your coil. Probably from the scraped wick. I would retorch, your wick, recoil, squonk test. For hot coil testing, see if any coils turn red when you push the button. WET coils should never turn red if there is not a short. If your wick is wet and you have a red coil, you have a short! I assume you know how to scoot the coil with a toothpick, and sort out hotspots? If not, watch PBusardo's AHA NOW I GET IT tutorial videos.1 point

There is no easy one-size-fits-all answer. It's harder to maintain consistency, from carto to carto with a dremel. Also note the sharp edges you'll end up with can play hell with your o-rings. Even if all the liquid you buy is from the same source, different flavorings (percentages and/or the carrier) can sometimes alter the viscosity of the final product. If you are in it for the long haul a decent carto punch might be your best bet. Smok Tech makes a cheap version of the Siam Mods one but it dulls rather quickly. Clouds Of Vapor has them, might as well get a spare screw at the same time. http://www.cloudsofvapor.com/store/127-new-at-cov/1054-siam-mods-stainless-steel-carto-punch-v2.html?keyword=punch1 point

Well welcome nice little writing you've got there. Pretty sure the aim of most if not all the members here is to enlighten smokers to a healtheir lifestyle and educate each other on all the cool little gadgets out there to get us the next best thing! See you around the forums. Happy Vaping.1 point -
Got mine just the other day and...man! Talk about some vapor coming out. The first coil burned out in less than 24 hours and I didn't even use it that much. I discovered that my local brick & mortar store carries these so I went to get replacement coils. They handed me a box of EVOD coils and said that they fit the Pro Tank. Thankfully, the coils are very inexpensive. I'm hoping this one lasts longer than the first did. I like the Pro Tank much better than the iClear30.1 point

New to E-cigs and wasting money
Pope reacted to bcartervol98 for a topic
I made the decision to quit smoking about 2 weeks ago. I went to the local convenience store and bought a couple NJoy Kings and was amazed how well they worked but it quickly became apparent that this would be an expensive way to do it. Then my wife and I both went to the local cigar shop and each bought a "Topaz" starter kit with two batteries and 6 cartridges, chargers, etc... We were "advised" this was the best available and I find that hard to believe. Battery life is fine, for now, but the cartridges leak fluid in my mouth. These are Topaz 18mg nicotine cartridges that they said I could refill by prying the end out and using the liquid I bought. This does not work and when I refill these that clearly look like they are made to be disposable it tastes like burning cotton.. My wife is going back to buy the clear cartridge that holds the liquid they sell today to see if this works better but I have a feeling I am wasting money. What advice would you give me? I want to quit smoking and havent had a cigarette in over two weeks but have spent over $150 on stuff that works ok but leaks disgusting liquid into my mouth even when taking long slow drags and holding the device completely vertical. Sorry if my question is redundant but havent found specific info in any of the threads on either of the two forums I have looked at all day looking for advice. I do not want to waste any more money on sub-par products.1 point -
V² / R = P
Nulmiseillera reacted to Rixter for a topic
Using the formula V² / R = P, where V is voltage, R is resistance, and P is power (in watts), what wattage do you prefer to vape at on your favorite juice delivery devices? I know that for me, it depends on what I'm using as a delivery device. 8.88 watts is just right for my 1.8Ω Vision V2/V3 Clearomizers (4 volts), 7.7 watts seems to be the sweet spot for my 1.5Ω AMG Hybrid Uni atty by Vapage (3.4 volts), and my 2Ω Smok Tech 510 atty provides its best performance at 8 watts (again, 4 volts). My Boge 2Ω and CCV (Smok Tech) 1.7Ω Resurrector cartos both like 3.7 volts, but that puts them at 6.85 watts and 8 watts, respectively, which seems like a pretty big power difference. I don't know why different juice delivery devices work best at different settings (maybe it's in my head ), but when I start messing around with voltage settings, I always tend to go back to those listed above because they work best for me. So how about you?1 point
