    New to RBA's?

My 2nd wick and coil on the AGA-T is much much better. I really just took my time wrapping the wick and made sure it didn't get bent or messed up too much. I also cut it down the center to fan it out a bit on the end that sits in the juice. Where my first wick had no visible center hole, this one has a clear round center vein for the juice to travel through. Also instead of putting just a bit of juice on it to burn off after oxidation, i put as much as possible without it dripping off. I could visually see the difference in how quickly it absorbed it after the first burn. With everything all setup im happily vaping away on another 1.7 ohm coil. Still want to get the wick hole drilled out but for now its workin well. Thanks for all your help Uma!! You're a rockstar

    Keepers and Tossers

Uma, you can mix without a calculator once you know a few facts about your flavors and if you are always mixing the same amount. If you are making 3ml samples then 20% flavor would be about 1/2 ml or about 12 drops. When you mix a combination of flavors you still don't want to go much more than that. There are some flavors that take much less to deliver a good flavor level. As far as nicotine level is concerned, if you are using unflavored 18mg and have 20% flavor then the nic level will be 12mg in the end. If you are using a strong flavor and only need 5% then the nic level will be closer 18mg. If you want the nic level at 12mg and your only using a couple of drops of flavor then you can put a few drops of VG or PG without nic to make up the difference. An easy way of mixing so you always have the same amount of nicotine is to always use the same amount of unflavored base. So, in a 3ml bottle always use 2.5ml of base and you will always get 12ml in the end. That .5ml left over is about 20% and most flavor combos use that amount. If the flavor level is to strong then use less flavor but make up that extra space with vg. You can do the same thing with 24mg base, just only use half(1.5ml) to get 12mg in the end. Still use somewhere around .5ml of flavor and the rest vg. You can use more than 20% of flavor in some cases and in some cases less, this is just about knowing your flavors and how strong they are and you're personal preference. Multiple flavors and and single flavors can tweeked to your liking by adding more or less and it's a lot like cooking. Don't forget when you make something special that you can double, tripple, or x10 the recipe and make yourself a BIG bottle! ----and don't forget to share with us

  4. Good point! I use all types of juice delivery devices, but the good ol' reliable Boge cartomizers are still a very cheap and effective way to vape hassle-free. They don't leak unless you over-fill them (just blow the excess out the bottom), and they last me a couple of weeks before the draw starts to tighten up some (YMMV). I buy "bulk" and get 5 boxes of 'em (25 cartos) from SureVapes.com for $23 shipped. You can mix-n-match boxes of low or high resistance, standard or XL, & black or stainless steel. BTW, if you plan on using a cone on your device to cover your carto, avoid the black Boges...the black "finish" is a vinyl wrap, which adds girth and causes the carto to fit too snugly through many cone openings, sealing off too much of your intake air in the process.

  5. Problem with tube modes is switches.Pretty much relegated to mechanical switches on the bottom end.I made one out of a 2X AA flashlight but it was not discreet.Pennstyle oldskool devices like the Joye 510, Kr808 ,DSE 901 and DSE 801 are pretty discreet and if you black out the LED they can be stealthy.Just put a pencil clip on and an eraser over the LED and it should blend in very well, have to pack extra batteries though.
