RY4 eliquid - what's all the shouting about?
CascadianExotics and one other reacted to Rixter for a topic
There are a lot of RY4 variants on the market today, but they all stem from Dekang's pre-2010 RY4 recipe. Everyone else tries to emulate this version's unique blend of tobacco, caramel, & vanilla (to varying degrees of success), and many are great, but by some accounts, many are not. I've been lucky in that I've never met an RY4 I didn't like. Some to look for are Dekang's RY4, Ginger's RY4, Ikenvape's RY4 PG Gold, Janty Elixir PG RY4, TVR's RY4, & Vapor Talk's Dulcis. I've tried all of these and although they each have their own signature flavor, they all fall squarely in the RY4 "box".2 points -
New here with question about clearomizers
daleron and one other reacted to mischi3vous for a topic
You can clean them, there's tons of videos on you tube on how I'm sure there's a few videos on this forum under tutorials. I've cleaned a few of mine it's not hard. To try out new flavors I've started using cartomizers they are cheap enough to throw away after you use them, I've gotten a few and taste my new juice I think I got a pack of 5 for around 3 dollars (can probably find them cheaper online). That way you're not really commited to a full clearomizer just to try them and if you decide to put them up to try later you haven't wasted much.2 points -

Thanks!! I am still fairly new to vaping so I wasn't sure, I haven't used a Nova. I think I'm kind of hooked on my Kanger T3's and Spinner.1 point -
RY4 eliquid - what's all the shouting about?

It's delicious! Just an FYI when you order from the Vapor Talk store you can ask for a sample during checkout (customer notes) and usually we'll throw in a sample when it ships1 point -
New to RBA's?

Dude...you have no idea. The difference between my first wick & coil and my second wick & coil was like the difference between a bottle rocket and an A-bomb!1 point -
Good point! I use all types of juice delivery devices, but the good ol' reliable Boge cartomizers are still a very cheap and effective way to vape hassle-free. They don't leak unless you over-fill them (just blow the excess out the bottom), and they last me a couple of weeks before the draw starts to tighten up some (YMMV). I buy "bulk" and get 5 boxes of 'em (25 cartos) from SureVapes.com for $23 shipped. You can mix-n-match boxes of low or high resistance, standard or XL, & black or stainless steel. BTW, if you plan on using a cone on your device to cover your carto, avoid the black Boges...the black "finish" is a vinyl wrap, which adds girth and causes the carto to fit too snugly through many cone openings, sealing off too much of your intake air in the process.1 point

Article from E Cigarette Reviewed calls WHO to task
Uma reacted to mischi3vous for a topic
An interesting article where E Cigarettes Reviewed calls on the WHO to provide the research to back the bans against e-cigarettes in certain countries. http://www.sacbee.com/2013/04/10/5330219/e-cigarette-reviewed-takes-who.html1 point -
The first thing I'm going to do, is I'm going to buy the base pre made and add my flavorings according the recipe book stated above.1 point

Best EVIC price Ive seen

LOL Jeffb, and quite true. Newbies don't inhale as deeply, don't take as long of draws of their eCigs. Why? Because their lungs are still too full of tar buildup. They'll be lucky to go through 3ml a day for the first week or so. The experienced vaper, one whose lungs have healed, can take those longer needed draws. Their draws now are almost equal to a real cigarette. They still, however, find it difficult to take a deep inhale like they did with their smokes, so they vape a little more often instead. The experienced Vaper will go through a good 3-6ml a day on average. This, of course, depends upon their delivery system. Sometimes 1ml of that is wasted in piddle puddles on the battery connection, etc... With that said, the Average ex 2 pad smoker now Experienced Vaper vaping 5ml a day to achieve the same nirvana as their 2pad habit, can say that 10 ml of juice equals roughly 80 cigarettes. But then, I don't do math, so I could be oh so wrong. I know I'm wrong. You know those 5 out of 4 people who can't do math right? I'm one of the 5.1 point

V² / R = P
Nulmiseillera reacted to Rixter for a topic
Using the formula V² / R = P, where V is voltage, R is resistance, and P is power (in watts), what wattage do you prefer to vape at on your favorite juice delivery devices? I know that for me, it depends on what I'm using as a delivery device. 8.88 watts is just right for my 1.8Ω Vision V2/V3 Clearomizers (4 volts), 7.7 watts seems to be the sweet spot for my 1.5Ω AMG Hybrid Uni atty by Vapage (3.4 volts), and my 2Ω Smok Tech 510 atty provides its best performance at 8 watts (again, 4 volts). My Boge 2Ω and CCV (Smok Tech) 1.7Ω Resurrector cartos both like 3.7 volts, but that puts them at 6.85 watts and 8 watts, respectively, which seems like a pretty big power difference. I don't know why different juice delivery devices work best at different settings (maybe it's in my head ), but when I start messing around with voltage settings, I always tend to go back to those listed above because they work best for me. So how about you?1 point -
*UPDATE* I am finding that the longer I go without smoking cigarettes, the more I pass over traditional "tobacco" flavors in my juice collection. To avoid getting burned out on my current favorite, EC Blend's Chocolate Malt, I vape a couple of former favorites, Dekang's DK-TAB and EC Blend's version of RY4. Both are great tasting tobacco-based e-liquids, but are a little sweeter and tastier than others I've tried. I have a pretty large selection of more traditionally flavored juices to choose from, but they just don't satisfy my taste-buds as much. I'm still vaping Chocolate Malt as my all-day e-liquid because, to me, it tastes great and calms the nic-beasties just as well as anything else I've tried so far.1 point

Ladies Only!
daleron reacted to Christopher for a topic
I know I really shouldn't post here, but I have to say for the record, I'm so glad I'm man. Hats of to you ladies! Suggestion - One of you ladies should create a private womens group in the social groups area, that way you can chat without peering eyes. Would be a nice level of privacy for our lady members. If anyone does create group, let me know and I can move this topic behind closed doors.1 point
