The Vivi-Mini Nova's and the CE4 rebuildables are one the stable vaping items that always seem to generate quite a bit of discussion. Whether you Love them or hate them almost everyone seems to have at least tried them. Even vapors who tend to prefer the higher end stuff usually reveal that they have a few for when they go out and about and don't want to take any chances with their more expensive equipment. They have been out for quite a while now and have been through a few changes. But the look and ease of use have not changed. There have also been many clones made that can sometimes be hit or miss. Quite a few people have contributed to making them better trying different wick and coil combinations until they found what works for them. They have also been wiling to share their findings with the vaping community and for that I thank them. Here is what they look like for those few that have not used or seen one. When you first buy one you might be amazed at the ease of use. Can be filled straight from the bottle (no syringes needed), they produce a lot of vapor, are super easy to disassemble and clean, And have very good flavor , for those that say the flavor is muted there are simple changes to improve that also. For those that don't like rebuilding you have that option also they sell replaceable heads in different resistance that can be bought very cheaply, screwed on refilled and go. If you like working with your hands then they can easily be rebuilt for even cheaper. It's your choice. You may already have your routine down on how you handle your Vivi Nova's. So what follows isn't for everyone its for someone who has been using one for a while now and doesn't want to spend money on more heads or someone who wants to coax more flavor out of them. They might not know what the term dry burn means or even that you could rebuild them. This is what works for me. I have broken it down into two parts. First is after you have already rebuilt the head and want to replace the wick either because it will no longer clean or you want to change flavors. The 2nd Part is how to recoil and rebuild the head to set it up for easy wick changes. So now you don't have to wait for the wick to dry before refilling. As I might have mentioned before there are quite a few clones and more coming. This is also how you dry burn to clean when you first get these , except you can leave the silica wick in. it won't burn the red hot coil will turn it from black back to white. Part 2 I hope that I answered more questions than I created. But if you do have any please post them. Thank you for taking the time to read/view this.1 point

The Smoktech R Tank (or Hyper SRT II if purchased from GotVapes) in the approximately 4 months that it has been out. Seems to be one of the few overlooked RBA's. Even now I can only find very few mentions of it on the internet. I can not understand why this is so. Since first purchasing it 3 months ago. this has become my favorite go to tank. So much so that I find myself vaping 2 tank fulls a day. Not only does the flavor and vapor match my Genesis RBA's. The ease of building or rebuilding my wick and coil is unmatched. Here is how it comes packaged. It comes ready to fill with a 2.0 coil and silica wick and 3 extra wick/coils in 2.0,2.5,&3.0 ohms in a nice box. I used the factory wick/coil for about a week and was very satisfied with the results very good vapor & taste. It appeared to be wrapped neither to tight of loose as they sometimes are. But after that first week I was eager to see how well it worked with other materials. This is where it seemed to really shine. After trying various wick and coil combinations I seemed to have found one that for me combines ease of use, reliability, and great flavor. Without having to modify the RBA itself. While I will admit it doesn't look as sleek and sexy as some of it's RBA cousins. I think of it along the lines of a faithful workhorse type RBA known for its reliability instead of looks. That's not to say I don't like the way it looks because I do. Here are some samples of how it looks on various PV's. I do not yet own one of the tube mods so can't show you on those but I would think it would look even better. Of course as with any man made item there are a few negatives. 1, They need to design a better fill hole plug. It comes with a very small & slippery silcone piece. It is very easy to misplace (which I did about 2 weeks in and have never found). I had to replace with a jury-rigged item. It needs to be bigger or connected to the tank somehow. 2. Sometimes when I remove the top cap to refill. When I have screwed it back on I see a little seepage of liquid around the gap between cap and tank. I wipe it down and no more leak. Seems to be condensation from inside cap. Maybe a better o-ring seal is needed. 3. The bottom cap is very tight and sometimes hard to unscrew by hand. But when you put it back on you have to tighten it down as much as possible other wise no positive connection. Maybe they need to make center tube just a hair longer. 4. The box it comes in and some of the sites that sell it claim it's a 4 ml tank. The most I have been able to put into it is right around 2.5 ml. I have a feeling there counting volume of the entire RBA including the top cap which can only hold air and vapor not the tank itself. Some of the sites have started to put actual amount in their ads. None of these negatives have prevented me from using it everyday tho. Here is a picture of what it looks like disassembled. Recently I have seen a post (by I believe BuffaloBob) asking about what specialty tools are needed to re-wick and coil. I had put this kit together for myself a while back and with it have been able to build, rebuild, and repair just about any type i have come across. It is nothing special but it works for me. Here is what my kit contains Silica Wick Cotton Embroiderer thread (from Walmart) Cotton makeup pads Peaches and Cream Cotton yarn (from Walmart about $3 for a lifetime supply) Cotton Balls Stainless Steel Mesh 400 & 500 (Not shown) All cotton wicks are boiled with 3 water changes. Hung up to dry overnight and stored in plastic bags until ready to use (Some people seem to taste the cotton after boiling it but I am not one of them. Even on a brand new wick all I taste is a clean and very strong flavor of my juice. Because of that along with cost and ease of use my wick of choice seems to have become the Peaches And Cream Yarn.) 3 sizes of kanthal wire (28,30,&32) Small nail clippers Wooden toothpick and plastic toothpick Push pin needles A type of dental pick Set of Jewlers Screwdrivers Allen Wrench (For DID Clone) What follows is what works the easiest and best for me (YMMV). After much Trial and only a little error I have found that 1 strand of peaches and cream yarn, paired with 1.3 ohm coil of 30 gauge wicks the best and gives me the most vapor and flavor on the majority of my PV's. But with taste being subjective you might want to experiment and find what works best for you. (I recommend you have a multimeter on hand to double check yourself that you didn't inadvertently short your coil wires together. Also be aware of the limits of your PV some have protection and some don't so you might not want your ohms so very low). That of course is easily remedied by adding more wraps. As you can hopefully see it is the easiest Rebuildable Atomizer I have come across so far. That includes the Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers also. And this one comes with a tank. I definitely plan to buy some more (with the added bonus that the prices have continued to drop since they first came on the market). Just for your info I use same kit to rebuild other types with some modifications, Thank you for reading. If you have any comments or critiques please feel free to post. I welcome them all.1 point

Welcome to Vapor Talk I like the Vision Spinner for a battery 1300mah and Vision Vivi Nova for a delivery device. Both are very easy to use. Juice is a whole other story. Good Luck!1 point

Good prices...makes you wonder what the catch it. They have Twists for almost half the price of other vendors. Sketchy!1 point -

Fighting the crave

Have a cig if you must...I guarantee it'll be the worst thing you've tasted, and will go right back to Vaping. Some people are able to stave off the cravings through sheer will-power, while others have to have the experience. One of my best friends (who is supposed to be my quitting buddy, LOL) can't stay away from cigarettes on his own. Even though I bust his balls on occasion, his tobacco usage is exponentially waning. He was a fifteen-year smoker, and has been Vaping since September. Everyone is different, though. Most of the time, merely smelling a freshly lit cig is enough to do it for me. Sometimes, I just hit the PV more. If anything, I'll comb the forums for threads like this...seeing others' trials, and courage to keep up the good fight is inspiring!!! I smoked for 22 years, and have been Vaping for only three months.1 point -
Saw this topic over on ECF and was just curious what some of you are running over here. Found this video in the thread as well. Some may have seen it, but i laughed my *** off. As for me im fairly generic for now, Spinner and Twist, Iclear 30, Evod, Vision Nova's, Vision Spinners.1 point

My Thoughts and Experiences with Vaping
lazymorulz reacted to Sink for a topic
Hello! This is my first post, and I'd like to share my experiences with vaping thus far. First off, my vaping set up is composed of various tanks, mainly being Vivi Novas and the like, and a couple pass-through Smoktech batteries. I still enjoy using cartomizers on occasion instead of a tank. I feel like I get a faster hit, and it's less of a hassle in my opinion. I'm sure others could argue with this, but something about it feels different than a tank to me. I really enjoy the pass-through batteries. I do a lot of work at the computer, and it is great to have a consistently charged battery. I also have two standard Blu brand e cigs, which.. Well, they haven't failed me yet. I get a little worked up about carrying around my Smoktech pass-throughs with me, when I go outside (anxiety.) The Blu's make me feel more comfortable. I've gotten some dirty looks because of my smoktech, sadly.. I still bring it out when I walk though, when I'm not feeling anxious. xD As for liquid, I have tried PG-80/VG-20 and PG-20/VG-80. I have two tanks that were gifted to me. I believe they work better with higher PG with my battery. I think the Vivi tanks work fine with just about any liquid, lol. My favorite flavors both happen to be pie flavors from a certain website. I think I like more sweet flavors than fruity, or anythng like that. But yeah, that's all. I just wanted to share this. Maybe it'll help someone, if not the post itself, then maybe someone's response to this. Anyway, thanks for reading!1 point -
I used to smoke two packs of Marlboros a day. Now I vape around 3 ml. a day, so that would be around 130-140 cigarettes (or a little over 6 packs) per bottle. YMMV.1 point

Like twins, we tend to consider tobacco and nicotine as one-and-the-same. Let's separte them. Understanding Nicotine: Nicotine is a natural product of tobacco. When a cigarette is smoked, it releases many chemical messengers- neurotransmitters- such as acetylcholine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, histamine, arginne, serotonin, dopamine, autocrine agents, beta-endorphin and other tongue twisters that are responsible for most of nicotine's effects. Effects that are, in fact, positive. Nicotine appears to enhance concentration, memory, alertness and arousal, reduces pain and anxiety, extends the duration of positive effects, and increases sensitivity in brain reward systems. There is evidence that nicotine itself has the potential to prevent and treat Alzheimer's disease, has been shown to delay the onset of Parkinson's disease, has a mild laxative effect reducing symptoms of ulcerative colitis, and reduces the chance of breast cancer among women carrying the very high risk BRCA gene. Nicotine is unique in comparison to most drugs as its profile changes from sedative to pain killer to stimulant in increasing dosages. Therefore, when using the E-Cig, the effect upon your system will depend on how much you "puff" but if you'll follow the advice given by other members, you'll have no problem. Nicotine does not induce weight gain. Contrary to popular belief, nicotine does not cause cancer and is not a known carcinogenic. In cigarettes, cancer is caused over a long period of time due to smoke inhalation and the burning of various carcinogenic chemicals. In fact, while tobacco and nicotine have been used for centuries, lung cancer was unknown until the invention of the machine rolled cigarettes in the late 19th century. The International Agency for Research on Cancer has not evaluated nicotine in its standalone form or assigned it to an official carcinogen group. And, technically, nicotine itself is not significantly addictive, as nicotine administered alone does not produce significant reinforcing properties. But beware the word "significantly;" a word often used in the political arena and therefore highly suspect. Of course we become addicted to E-Cigs if for no other reason than the pleasure derived from them. But, unarguably, and until the medical society proves otherwise, it's a far, far safer -and cheaper- addiction than cigarettes. Enjoy yourselves.1 point
