Omg. Uh. This is embarrassing. Opening one of the "dud" clearos, the coil fell out in my hand. I had an eureka moment, screwed it on tight, reassembled, added juice....and am now vaping contentedly. Were these made on Friday, or does everyone just know to tighten the coils first?2 points

i let someone smoke in my car last night. I was mildly disgusted. In my head I was like 'omg, im going to be one of THOSE people' !!!2 points -
Welcome. You can get usable vapor from about any of them but an Ego type battery and a Vivi Nova tank or Vision Clearomisers will be more cost effective and less hassle in the long run.2 points

I would have expected the coil to be per-tightened. You're not alone.1 point

Well... after usin' it a few days, I'm jus' luvin' it. I filled the lil' tank Tuesday night. I filled it like about 80% full like I read... and after vapin' a few days, (It's Saturday morning here) it's still about 75% full. The battery seems to really last too. I vaped for 2 days an then charged it a lil'. Didn' take long ta be charged so I'm guessin' it wasn't that run down yet. The Silver Buttet is jus' the best choice I could have made I think. No messin' around, it jus' works. Luv that...1 point -

Fighting the crave

Have a cig if you must...I guarantee it'll be the worst thing you've tasted, and will go right back to Vaping. Some people are able to stave off the cravings through sheer will-power, while others have to have the experience. One of my best friends (who is supposed to be my quitting buddy, LOL) can't stay away from cigarettes on his own. Even though I bust his balls on occasion, his tobacco usage is exponentially waning. He was a fifteen-year smoker, and has been Vaping since September. Everyone is different, though. Most of the time, merely smelling a freshly lit cig is enough to do it for me. Sometimes, I just hit the PV more. If anything, I'll comb the forums for threads like this...seeing others' trials, and courage to keep up the good fight is inspiring!!! I smoked for 22 years, and have been Vaping for only three months.1 point -

Like Kitsune and Proetus said, I'm in the "go ahead and light one up" camp. For the first five days after I bought my first ecig I still smoked. On the fifth day I just didn't want them anymore. Then, a month or two after having vaped exclusively, I started thinking about a cigarette and couldn't get it out of my mind. Once I lit up and took about three drags that was it for me. Even now, after all this time without an analog, about a month ago I tried one just out of curiosity and was so grossed out I had to go brush my teeth and take a shower.1 point

If you have access to an ohmeter check them for continuity.Sometimes the threads are cut poorley and you have to screw them on and off a few times to get them to screw all the way on,you can also file the base of the clearo so it will screw on further and possibly make contact.Thats all I got ,good luck1 point

Here my personal experience: Vivi nova....soooo easy to use. flavor does die out over time (about 3days-week) for me. changing flavor sometimes helps. next step, take it apart, rinse, refill. last step just replace the head. I tend to replace the head after about a week. Heating over time tends to thicken the liquid and it doesn't wick quite as well as fresh liquid. That is a problem with all except the dual coil tank and dripping. Its just the nature of the liquid. Kanger....sooo easy to use. after a couple of days I end up getting the burnt wick taste....more than likely it doesn't like my stronger flavors...seems to do well with my lighter fruit flavors. Dual Coil Tank....A bit more fuss to fill, but the flavor seems to last longer and more consistent vape...usually end up changing the cartomizer every couple weeks (draw gets tight, filler clogs). The eGo 2.4 ml CC long wick is another clearomizer I like...the only problem I have had it the past is the tip can break away causing it to leak (super glue fixed that). I like it as much as my vivi nova. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-long-wick-changeable-coil-clearomizer/ Dripping....This for me has been my sweet spot for a very long time. better flavor all the way around. But it is a bit more work and a bit of a learning curve. the 4 I always have on hand are the vivi nova, dual coil tank, eGo CC and dripping. I have a tendency to rotate through them....each one is just a bit different, and each one usually has a different flavor. (except dripping....that is alot different). I still mess with the kanger, because I like variety I guess..... sorry, Long answer.1 point

No it is very similar to the Kanger Evod's. I saw your other post regarding the certain flavors of eliquid, affecting the tanks. I noticed you have two Protanks on the way. Those will be fine for those flavors it is a glass tank. Other then that, you can get metal tubes for Nova, or Pyrex tanks for cartotanks and you'll be fine.1 point -

"Are E-Cigarettes Better For Your Health? The Doctors Weigh In... " Part of a new series: It's what many smokers are calling a “miracle technological breakthrough.” But, could making the switch to electronic cigarettes really change your life? *Mentioned E-Cigarettes Were Provided By: "Direct E-Cig™ E-Cigarette" We investigate the truth behind this new technological breakthrough.E lectronic cigarettes have recently grabbed the attention of countless tobacco users across the United States. Also known as the “E-Cigarette,” these groundbreaking devices are raising a lot of eyebrows. Are they really a healthier and cheaper alternative to traditional cigarettes? Creators say these devices are very different from the traditional cigarette, and thousands of smokers have already made the switch with hopes the device will be better for their health. But can this clever looking contraption live up to all the hype? Is there any scientific evidence that electronic cigarettes truly are the #1 smoking alternative? When we first inspected the electronic cigarette, it was easy to see that the device in fact does look and feel like a traditional cigarette. Creators and product users are claiming that you can now enjoy a healthier cigarette without the bad smells, second-hand smoke, or cancer causing chemicals. Plus they claim you can still get your nicotine fix. Sounds almost too good to be true right? That's what we thought as well. So we had our own Vanessa Michaels test these incredible claims. And the results, to say the least, were very shocking. Here are just a few of the benefits that Direct E-Cig™ electronic cigarettes have been claiming on their website: •No tar, tobacco, carbon monoxide, or ash. •Get the same amount of nicotine as a regular cigarette. •Each cartridge costs less than $2 and is equivalent to an entire pack of cigarettes. •You can save over $1,000 each year. •You won't "smell" like a smoker any longer. •Different flavors are available. •No more second-hand smoke. When Vanessa received her electronic cigarette trial kit, she passed the device around so everyone could take a closer look. Sure enough, the product looked and felt like a cigarette. The device was also very well made and seemed safe to use. When Vanessa took her first few drags on the device, we all stared in amazement. It looked like Vanessa was smoking in the office, but with one huge difference. There was no tobacco smell and no second-hand smoke. Just a harmless vapor. We were also able to confirm the money savings claims. Each cartridge was equivalent to approximately 1 pack of cigarettes at a cost of only a couple of dollars each, meaning that smokers who smoke 1 pack per day can easily save over $1,000 per year. Since the device satisfied Vanessa's nicotine cravings, we knew that we had found a product that actually works. We decided to research exactly what expert medical doctors and product users had to say about Direct E-Cig™ electronic cigarettes. The results were surprising. In fact, the United Health Organization concluded that "In the short time that electronic cigarettes have become popular, the number of people who have been able to quit smoking and stay cigarette free have risen by an estimated 300%. No other methodology has proven so successful in such a short period of time." A New U.S. Health Trend? Four very well known doctors, from the popular TV show “The Doctors”, have shared great insight with us on the topic of the electronic cigarette. The electronic cigarette was featured as one of their top 10 key health trends for 2009. “The greatest issue with cigarettes is the 500+ other ingredients added, not just the nicotine. Do we recommend this for non-smokers? Of course not, but for current smokers this is the most revolutionary device to date” - Dr. Travis Stork None of the doctors on the show are smokers, so they used a female smoker, Beverly, as a case study. Beverly had struggled with smoking for 15 years. By day 2, this former "heavy smoker" had eliminated the use of regular cigarettes all together, and was pleased to report that she now only uses her electronic cigarette. She admits that the E-Cigarette is very satisfying and definitely recommends it to other smokers. How Does The Direct E-Cig™ E-Cigarette Work? Technology has enabled engineers to create a safer cigarette for everyone. Using the device is simple enough. If you know how to smoke a regular cigarette, then you'll know how to smoke an electronic cigarette. A Look Inside The Electronic Cigarette Here's a simplified explanation of the 4 step process that occurs when you enjoy an electronic cigarette: •Step #1: A flow sensor will detect that air is traveling through the e-cigarette when the user inhales. •Step #2:Liquid nicotine and flavoring contained in the cartridge goes into the atomization chamber while the Smart Chip controls the amount. •Step #3:The Heating Vapor Coil "atomizes" the liquid creating a rich vapor very similar to smoke. While this vapor is enjoyed, the indicator light is signaled. •Step #4: When the smoker finishes inhaling, the LED in the indicator light fades out. The smoker is free to partake in additional drags on the device. We are pleased to report that all of this occurs in an extremely safe manner. In fact, it is virtually impossible to unintentionally start a fire with an electronic cigarette, another huge benefit that can potentially save lives.1 point
