    Obsessive progression

Hi! I'm Aurora. ::: waves madly::: In February, my BFF gave me a disposable hookah for my birthday. I enjoyed it a LITTLE, but preferred my analog cigs. Then I discovered disposable cigs, and enjoyed them a LOT, enough to dump analog completely. The constant battery recharging led me to websites with not only big batteries, but big tanks, big bottles of eliquid, promises of big vapor and big taste. After brief research on youtube I went with the ego-T, then got the ego-CE5 upgrade, the Hitman passthru, and then got a big fatty 2400 mah battery, and then another cool looking 1300 mah one ... and I LOVE IT SO FREAKIN' MUCH I can hardly contain myself. Still making mistakes ... I stripped some threads, flooded some tanks, and etc. However ... OMG ... I love this stuff. Nice to meet you all, glad to have found such an informative and friendly vaping community. ::: hugs all :::: VVVVVVVVVV pix VVVVVVVVVVV At work, puffing my Hitman CE5 passthru, in my custom lanyard ecig purse.

Had some others that I've sold or given away but this is what I right now but always planning more. This is an overview of my juice and equipment shelves Here is the closeups I much prefer glass for holding my ready to vape or not as the case may be. Various bits and pieces that tend to accumulate. I keep my PG/VG in 2 each blue jars, My Nic in Amber jars, and Premixed in a Amber jar. These are 9 oz. short wide mouth glass jars Seem to work better for me easier to siphon out liquid and less chance of tipping over. Here are some of my flavors for DIY Can you tell I like Wizard Labs. Some more flavors including VZ super concentrated and lorann's plus other brands. Also syringes, pipettes, and plastic boxs for everything else. A couple of projects that I so far have not had time to do are make a stand for PV's. and a small wood cabinet to hold all vaping supplies. Hopefully soon. What do you folks think? Kinda OCD right. Thanks for looking all comments and or critiques are appreciated.

    Keepers and Tossers

Mixing is fun !!! its kinda like baking or cooking. I usually have to be in the mood, not have any plans so I can sit and mix, usually while watching a movie. I'm glad your going to give it a go. Lots of trial and error...but along the way you will some great flavors combinations. My staples in my arsenal are: Flavourart Tiramisu, Flavourart Coffee espresso, Flavor west caramel, flavor west candy corn, flavor west mint chocolate, flavor west butterscotch, flavor west sugar cookie, flavourart menthol (flavor kick), flavourart forest fruit, Lorann watermelon, Lorann champagne (goes with almost everything), Lorann Mango(new addition), flavour art cinnamon. Mind you I have many more flavors, but the ones listed above are the ones I use the most often. You will find your favorites. shout if you get stuck. BTW....do you have an android phone? if so the eliquid recipe manager is great !! @Mike...Yum !!! going to try that one.

The one on my android that I use, thanx to kit, is called eLiquid Recipe Manager Lite. I like this one the best, it's so convenient and easy to use.

  7. Burnt happens when there's too much heat (roughly analogous to power - measured in watts) for the juice or the wick is crudded up (all coil/wick setup eventually wear out). Good rule of thumb is that resistance + 2 = ~8watts and then adjust up/down to get the flavor dialed-in for preference. Examples: 1.5Ω@3.5volts -> 8.2watts 2.0Ω@4volts -> 8.0watts 2.5Ω@4.5volts -> 8.1watts 3.0@5.0volts -> 8.3watts Where most VV/VW devices run into issues is with the amperage limitation built in to the switch (it's a safety feature). If I remember correctly a Twist is 2.5A, a Provari V2 is 3.5A and a Vamo is 5.0A. If you tried to use a 1.5Ω atty on a device with a 2.5A limit, you never get higher than 3.8volts regardless of how far you turned the swtich. There are a bunch of useful free Ohm's Law calculators for iPhone or on the web (http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php).

  8. Ok, since you made me curious I went ahead and rebuilt a Vivi Nova Mini (same rebuildable heads as the bigger ones). I used a 5/6 of 32awg KanthalA1 on COV 3mm silica with a paperclip as a guide (it's all i have since it's what I use in my Pennies and Odys). And the verdict - 2.7Ω I used single strand wire (not twisted) or it would've come in around 1.5Ω with 5/6. To answer the question about wraps, you'll always see folks give x/y because when you wrap a coil there is always 1 side that doesn't complete a loop. So in this case I wrapped a 5/6 meaning if you look at the top of the coil you see 6 wires and if you looked from the bottom (because the 2 tails stick down the bottom) you'd only count 5. Lesson learned, there's not a lot of room inside the little cradle that hold the coil. 6 wide was a bit finicky as it touched the side and shorted (easy to fix by just squeezing in towards the center to compress the coil) so next time for ease of use I'd do 4/5 of 32awg and it'd come in around 2.2Ω-2.3Ω. I did all my setup on a Vamo since I think in your original post you said that's what you're were using, decent vape @9watts :-) Have fun building!

  9. I just read a really good article on Ashtray blog. It talks about a man who had a really high white blood count and smoked he had tried the routine stop smoking that the medical professionals suggest with no luck. This man started using an e-cigarette and his white blood count dropped dramatically. It's a really interesting read, and should go a long way in towards the medical community to quit saying such bad things about e-cigarettes. There are some other articles on the site that are just as informative one I read about if there even is such a thing as second-hand vapor. I'll post the links to both articles here for anyone else that wants to read them. Happy vaping http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/ashtray-blog/2013/01/e-cigarettes-reverse-rare-white-blood-cell-condition.html http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/ashtray-blog/2012/08/passive-vaping.html

  10. Let me know if they've changed, I'm really curious. Interested to see if your stuff is basically the same as I've read other places, people say their health has improved and doctors are the proof of if this is better for us or not.

  11. Yes, I have a 1100 mAh Twist and, although I like it, I much prefer my Spinners, especially for direct dripping. The numbers on the Spinner are so much easier to see so I can figure out how many volts I'm at. The Twist? Not so much. I have to put it under a bright light and hold it juuuuust so so that the numbers might show up. The numbers are etched into the base so it's all the same color of silver. They're both good batteries, it's just easier to see the Spinner's numbers. Don't feel bad about taking notes. I've got a whole notebook of scribbles myself.

Try this in a 3ml bottle: 6 drops of Banana Nut Bread 2 drops of Banana Cream 2 drops of Marshmallow 2 drops of Cotton Candy fill the rest (about 2.5 ml) with 18mg pg This should taste like a very sweet banana desert.

I was *-* this close to picking up a Champagne flavor! Now I'm glad I waited, I'll be sure to get the Lorann's brand. Sounds delicious Kitsune! Thanks. I've been inspired by you for years, Kitsune! I even bought a kit a few years ago, but I chickened out and could never literally get started. I'm hyped, more prepared, (reading your posts here as well as posts from all over the various forums) and now my sleeves are rolled up and ready to go. Can't wait for my new supplies to come in. (can't find my old kit, it's in storage somewhere..). I'll try 3 variations of the Amber & Banana Cream... 1. Amber heavy, 2. Amber medium. 3. Amber light... (which, of course, makes the Banana Cream the teeter totter balance). Yum eh!

    Igo-L Dripper

I've only wrapped once so far, just received it not too long ago. Yes, they gunk up fast, no matter the wire, it's the nature of the beast. But they're easy to rinse out, carefully dry burn, and you're set to go. There are tons of video's on youtube for cleaning the dripper type (silica rope) rda's. Shoot, some peeps even set them up with mesh wicks. Very versatile. If you go the SS mesh route, be sure to get the Genuine DID (the D16 is the most popular one, but they're all great). from MMVapors.com Check out the "clearance" space for "blemished" mark down ones if you aim to save a penny. If you can't yet afford the genuine, then I would recommend the AGA-T+(2) or the RSST (AC9 clone) either one. The RSST has a thin top cap, gets really hot when chain vaped, but otherwise is a great little atty! The AGA-T+/2 is usually great... every batch can be different, it's always a crapshoot, but so far, they are all vapable, workable and are touted as SS material. (don't get a did clone, you'll cuss it all the way to the bin. They are known to have crappy insulators, wobbly center posts, chrome plating over brass, and so on and so on). Oh, if I heard right, the RSST, can be refilled using the typical long nose bottle, instead of the syringe. btw. In any case, no matter which one you get, you'll love it! There's a lot to be said for self-sufficiency in times like these.

    Igo-L Dripper

Picked one of these up and been enjoying it so far. I've built 5 coils, the first 2 "worked" but weren't enjoyable at all. I had hot spots all over the place and my coil was sitting way too far away from the posts. My last 2 coils have performed great, starting to get the hang of it i think. I have noticed it seems to gunk up quickly, 3 or 4 days if that's all i use. Have you experienced that all Uma? I'm using nichrome wire, i don't know if switching ti Kanthal would make any difference? Who knows. Once i have the wrapping and building coils down i think i'm gonna pick up an AGA-T+ or maybe a DID. Still not sure, gotta do more research on what else is out there, but i think i like the look of the AGA-T+ better than any of the other gennys i've seen so far, which isn't many lol

  19. *in best Elvis Presley voice* Why thank you. Thank you very much. *fails miserably but falls over laughing anyway* As an aside, when they tell you that the "aroma" is strong? Take their warning seriously. There's snow on the ground outside but I have the window open about two inches, there's a fan blowing the air OUT of the room, it's nearly an hour later and this place still smells of roast beef. Either that or I can't get it out of my nose. *sniffs*
