Hello everyone, My name is Star, I am 38, a single mom of four, an artist, an office manager, a HR director, and the owner of a home based business on the side. I have been a crazy smoker most of my life, smoking anywhere between 1-2 1/2 packs a day depending on the stress levels of that day. I manage everything in my world and am the go to person for hundreds of people. I will say that smoking was my only crutch for a very long time. Then I found someone as of December, who is making my life more meaningful. He is a nonsmoker but put up with my old habits for months. I wanted to quit so bad, have for well over a decade, but too many people have counted on me and well.... I loose it every singe time I tried to put them down (not to mention break apart people I care deeply for). I have tried the patch, the gum, drugs, anti depressants, anti psychotics etc... and nothing got me where I needed to be to let if go. Then a friend of mine brought up how she practically quit using vaping, and I knew if she could do it, I have a chance. With my man at my side and with the e-cigs in my hand, I have not had one smoke since 03/18/2013 2 weeks now! Every time before i would follow smokers just for a slight relief, see someone smoking and wish I was them, I wanted to quit mind you, but it was a major love hate relationship. I starting vaping 11 days, with smoking analogs. First day more analogs that vapor and as time went by more vapor than analogs. I realized that the more vapor I did, the less and less the cigarettes tasted good, or fulfilled my needs. I actually got down to 10 or less a day from the 20-50 a day I could consume (50 granted was on the worst of the years days.). Then, on 03/18/2013, I went to work with 2 cigarettes in my pack, had one on arrival, and had one at 9:30 on my break. Thought to myself that I would go pick up a pack at lunch time, but only have maybe 4 more in the whole day. Lunch time came and I didn't need them, didn't even have the want for one. I started thinking to myself, am I only smoking them now because I have them? Am I fine with just vaping. So I decided not to pick up a pack, but go back to work and see. I figured if I started going crazy, I would excuse myself and pick one up (better that than loosing it at work), but I never lost control, I never got imbalance, I never wanted another one. Granted since then I have had a few moments, those have been cured by using some strong tobacco flavors to get the smoke fix. This time, I am quit for good. 2 weeks now and counting. I don't want them anymore, nor do I like the smell, or have any envy at all to the smokers, even though that was my life since I was 19. I don't care if I am hooked on vapor or if I am not a vapor junky, as far as I am concerned, these saved my life and upgraded the quality of my life too. My boyfriend thank vapor every time I kiss him, and I thank vapor every time I do not wake him up hacking. Besides the fact that I am now the room's new air fresher. Sure beat being the bad smelling cause. I am proud and thrilled to be a part of this blog and it provided so much help to me this past month during my newb phase! So last week I decided to actually try to stop smoking cigarettes so instead of buying a pack of Newports I went with a disposable Blu e-cig the menthol flavor since that's what I always liked to smoke.. That was Thursday and Friday I ordered a Halo G6 starter kit.. I got it today being that I'm in Cali and it shipped from New Jersey via USPS I'm very shocked I got it Monday.. I'm guessing they got rid of the tin container because I got a sort of leather/suede flip top box.. It's actually really nice.. Everything fits in it 2 batteries, USB, wall charger, 5 pack of cartridges and 2 blanks.. I also got 2 different flavored 30ml bottles being menthol of course a free 10ml of another new menthol flavor and a five pack of any flavor desired.. I know it's getting long so I'll cut it short now, so it's been 4 days since I had an actual cigarette and hopefully that'll be it...

Try this in a 3ml bottle: 6 drops of Banana Nut Bread 2 drops of Banana Cream 2 drops of Marshmallow 2 drops of Cotton Candy fill the rest (about 2.5 ml) with 18mg pg This should taste like a very sweet banana desert.

I'm going to be getting my first Twist and my first Spinner with my next order. I'm feelin' pretty fancy about that!

I've had mixed results. I ordered a few of both the 3.2mm and the 2.4mm. They are really disappointing at first (especially for someone like me with the attention span of a knat...) but once broken in they perform pretty well. They're not as strong/crisp a flavor as I can get with #500 mesh but the vapor production is really good. Wicking-wise, this also gets better once broken in but I do leave the fill hole screw loose (vs. closed for SS mesh wicks). Setups I've tried: 30awg Kanthal on 2.4mm in Mini-DID (4/5 wrap @ ~1.0Ω) - one of the better performing setups I've tried 0.6mm Kanthal ribbon on 3.2mm in Std DID (3/4 wrap @ ~1.0Ω) - pretty good once broken in 0.8mm Kanthal ribbon on 3.2mm is Shortie DID (3/4 wrap @ ~0.8Ω) - so so... For all of them I'm using the "hot wrap" method (much better results than simple wrapping)

I take effexor to help me sleep and started vaping a month ago, so far no issues here. My husband (who has COPD) and uses inhalers and takes chantix has finally started vaping and he's sleeping much better at night, in fact I think he's waking up in the middle of the night less having fewer coughing fits.

Hi Uma, Kanthal and Nichrome have different resistances/length. Kanthal is typically +10% resistance for the same length. So, on silica wicks you can get more twists with Nichome than Kanthal for the same resistance. For me, I use Kanthal on everything simply because it has a higher melting point so I pop fewer coils on ultra-LR. On the twisted wire, resistance is a measure of how much restriction is put on the flow of electricity. Like a water pipe, the smaller the pipe the more restriction. Unlike dual coil cartos (completely independant coils - 2x 3.0Ω coils => 1.5ΩDCC) a twisted wire is touching along the whole length so you don't actually get "double the flow". It does lower the resistance to about ~2/3 (not 1/2). I haven't used twisted wires in a while instead opted for getting fatter wires. Where I used to twist 32awg, I now pretty exclusively use 28awg or 30awg. Twisted wires give a different type of flavor to me, slightly muted but also are very easy to work with and very forgiving for wrapping. What I'm really enjoying these days is 0.6mm x 0.1mm Kanthal ribbon. I wrap it the same as 30awg/28awg: 2/3 on fat wicks and 3/4 on thinner wicks. Let me know if I've missed the point with these responses (multi-tasking atm...)

With what you have listed....Grape + Marshmallow. If you go shopping , I like Lorann champagne flavor with grape and the flavourart forest fruit..... Banana cream and liquid amber sounds intriguing...you will have to post what you mix, let us know what works. You know me, I love mixing !!!!

The Jamaican rum and vanilla sound like an interesting combo......you do have some 3ml bottles, don't you..... The caramel cappuccino and cinnamon Danish with a couple of drops of USA mix. Tobacco favors are usually super strong. Merry mixing (and no, it doesn't end....sorry)

It's gonna take a lot of wraps to get to 3Ω using twisted 32g Kanthal, as a 4/3 coil on my RBA is only ±1.1Ω, and a 5/4 coil is only ±1.3Ω. I metered a 1" piece of twisted 32g Kanthal to have roughly 1Ω of resistance, so it's gonna take close to 3" to achieve 3Ω...that's a lot of coils to fit into such a tiny housing. You're gonna need a wire that provides slightly more resistance than 3Ω in a 2" section...that should be plenty to re-coil a Nova atty. A 34g Kanthal A-1 would probably be just about right. no i was unsure if i was gonna like to drip but i am placing a order for a few more attys and i am gonna also get the drip shield. by the way ho many drops are u doing in these attys ?
