    Hey guys!

Obviously, I am new to this forum & I am new to vaping. I've started out with a Premium E-cig starter with the long 5v battery . Half way through the cart, it tastes terrible! I'm also having a hard time getting enough vapor to satisfy the craving. Should I switch to a manual battery, or switch to a different brand all together? I like the convience of the carts, but I'm not against using the e-liquid either. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  2. wow.. ok ... so.... lol... Ive had this thing for a few days now... 5 to be exact,, and i must say im quite impressed.. I bought this device so my opinion is not biased, infact.. I was gonna write about it a few days ago,, but i was still a lil excited about it so i decided to hold off till i let the nerves chill. so now that ive had time to do a lil reaserch on exactly what it is that i bought , i must say finding alot of specs. on this is not easy. sooo.. . Right off the bat the first thing i noticed is ,, this thing feels solid, its heavy. and not a hollow heavy, I like that alot! The second thing I really like is, it includes both regular & extended bottom caps to use stacked 18350s or 1 18650, ( Longer batt life with the stacked , plus a power boost to make sure it can handle the dual coils.) , if you want the extended cap with the provari itll cost ya 19.99 on sale. 24.99 not on sale. I know there are a few other mods that sell the extended caps but im not sure right now and so i used the provari for an example. i dont wanna go on and on here so im gonna jump to something huge with this mod and this is kinda techy so ill try to be slow... so with a provari,, your paying for a constant output of power to your atty or cart,, no matter what you have on the end of a provari it will put out that power and adjust itself when you switch whats on the connector, the problem with the provari, is the amp limitation; so at high voltage you loose the capibility of using dual coils and other things that will push that amp swich past 3.5 amps.. at this point you get an error code on the provari . on the zmax you do not run into that problem,as it has a 5amp swich, the problem lies in the zmax with the boosting board or chip when your using the single 18650 set up. Its a battery limitation. on higher voltage with the 18650 set up it struggles to meet the higher voltages on some cartos and attys, not all but some.. so in order to correct that you have to use the stacked 18350s and that will allow for the higher voltages to be reached constantly. I really like that the user has this option to use the right set up for the voltages that they use for their set up. one of the things i am unsure of : is alot of the protection circuits it may or may not have, there is not alot of info out there on these so heres what i do know... it does have a short circuit protection a low battery protection a low res. protection and also has reverse battery protection. also i should mention, you have the option of using voltage or watts( power) and i really really like that option. watts is alot smother warmer in my opinion,, and i like it. theres alot more to be said about this device but im gonna leave it here at that ,, im extreemly happy at the price point, and im very happy I choose this mod over the provari, as after the fact i saw the numbers and chart on both devices and this device shines OVER the provari, at half the price point. DJJROCK SIGNING OUT!! PEACE, LOVE AND VAPE!!!

    Bottom Coils

I got mine from Altsmoke http://altsmoke.com/nano-clearomizer-510.html If you order 10 or more you can get them for $1.99 each but since you don't know if you'll like them or not I'd start with one or three. At $2.99 a piece, that's still not bad.

    Hey guys!

Thanks! I picked up some juice & refilled the carts I already have. Worked perfectly. I've made my final decision on my first REAL setup....a eGo-C with a bunch of different tanks, carts & attys, so I can find out what I like best. Brian from http://theveteranvaper.com has been so very helpful with all my questions. I can't remember who recommended him, but thanks. All of you guys are so knowledgeable, such a valuable resource.

  7. I use different color clearomizers...or if using atomizers...well it doesn't make a difference. Sometimes I get to the point of "eh" and just add liquid and vape. (you get some odd flavors that way) I get back on track after purchasing new atomizers/clearomizers.

  8. I figure I might as well give them a chance as well: 1-Kanger EVOD eGo Clearomizer - Black 2-Atomizer Head for Kanger EVOD - 1.8Ω/ohm 2-Atomizer Head for Kanger EVOD - 2.4Ω/ohm And a grip extension for my new 'carry piece'... oh wait...wrong forum! My bad folks...

    Best Ry4?

By contrast, I vape Dulcis regularly...it's now my favorite juice, and it's always included in every rotation of juices I happen to have on me at any given moment... ...but then again, I haven't tried Ginger's RY4 from TVR yet, so there's that.

    Looking for advice

Right now I currently use the lowest nicotine (6mg), as well as zero nicotine. I'm trying to ween myself completely off nicotine and just vap zero nicotine for the sheer enjoyment. Vaping has helped me quit smoking entirely.

    3.0 ohm 510 Atomizer

Thanks again Tameiki!! Your questions back then were very relevant to me here. So here's what you helped me find at empire: Delrin 306 XL Drip Tip Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 1.8ohm eGo Drip Shield Cone Hopefully these will save me some frustration in direct-drip land... You officially have yer name in my book of awesome!!

    3.0 ohm 510 Atomizer

The liquid inside the atomizer will leak out of the bottom ventilation holes, it's a very small amount unless you over drip. That's why you'll want to get a drip shield. You don't have to have one but if you don't, you'll have to wipe the bottom portion of the atomizer every now and then or the juice will start to accumulate and then eventually ooze down the battery, your fingers... Not totally necessary but I like to rinse the drip shield in warm water periodically to rinse off the juice it caught and then allow it air dry. That's my first foray into direct dripping. As you can see I ask a LOT of questions. The folks here were wonderfully patient with me. lol This next link is about drip shields: I think you'll find some helpful information in the comments.

    3.0 ohm 510 Atomizer

Let me see.... Before attaching the atomizer to the battery take a paper towel or tissue and hold it very loosely to the end that will be screwed onto the battery. Then blow through the top to blow out anything there. Do this several times, you don't have to worry about being too gentle here. Another thing is to remember this move when you flood the thing by putting too much juice in that it gurgles and won't really give up any vapor. Blow it out and start with a couple of drips. I'm a terrible dripper and used to consistently flood my atomizer for a good long while when I started. The first time you need to drip in four to six drops of liquid. I like to let it sit for 10 - 15 seconds to absorb the first time. Then vape. You'll know when you've run out of juice when you get a really harsh throat hit that tastes like chemical or something that's definitely NOT your e-liquid. Have you gotten a drip shield? I believe those make the direct dripping experience so much better. When I first started I had an eGo cone. Those were okay except for the tight draw due to no air holes. You can get the eGo drip shields at Empire Mods. There are only two styles that have eGo in the name of the drip shields. These will cover the threads of your battery. The other 510 compatibles will also work but the threads will be visible unless you get a separate thread cover or don't care about it. Good luck!

  16. That's good, that most of the flavor is washed out now. Too bad a little bit is left. That should dissipate soon too. I use Irish Cream from Altcig and love it. I haven't tried other stores yet... maybe that's a good thing lol. If you need more mesh for more wicks, the Mesh Company has some nice material, even the 600, for your experimenting pleasures. Overall, 400 and 500 are the most popular so far. Here's a link: http://themeshcompany.com/acatalog/25-micron-super-fine-mesh.html When you need more wire, a good place is from King Orchid on ebay. Kanthal A1 anywhere from 28 to 32 gauge is popular. http://www.ebay.com/sch/kingorchid/m.html?item=261051663448&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc7e44458&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 There are other places too, of course.

  17. Oh, and. "I don't stink of cigarettes" and "I don't burn holes in my clothes". And "I don't have to smoke in the ice and snow and rain" and "I'm not a pariah anymore" and "I can smell things better now" and .....

  18. I did it for the health benefits, the fact that I don't smell anymore and the bonus of sitting at my desk at work and taking a couple puffs without my boss who is two cubicles over not knowing. When I smoked she hated it and asked me to refrain during work hours.
