Happy One Month Analog Free!
Mikel1037 reacted to ninjabatgirl for a topic
Today marks my one month mark being analog free! Awesomeness!!1 point -
Outstanding! I to have been analog free for about a month now, I wish I had put my counter on when I first joined the forum. I am a lifetime smoker, I'm 58 and a lung cancer survivor I'm so happy to have found Vapor!1 point

I thought it was one the first time that I looked at one, but there seems to be a couple of (improved, I think) design changes. Unlike the T3/MT3, when you have to change out heads, you just unscrew the head from the base and screw in a new one ($1.50)...cheaper to replace than the T3/MT3's head and base one-piece assembly ($2.99). Also, the transparent mouthpiece is supposed to be more comfortable than the T3/MT3. At only 2 ml., the EVOD's capacity is almost ½ ml. less than the T3/MT3, but it still holds almost ½ ml. more than the competition's 1.6 ml. (i.e. eGo V# Clearomizers). I've got one on the way and I'll post the results once I've had a chance to try to destroy it.1 point

OK, do I finally got it wicking. I changed the wick and it was going well. I wrapped my first coil and it came in @ 1.6 ohms. It was vaping pretty good but I was getting that funky taste, more research tells me it needs to break in. But, now I keep popping coils. Initially no hot spots are showing and it heats up uniformly. It pops right off the positive post. I tried allowing a bit more slack and running it tight but it's keeps popping. I'm using my Vamo on VP mode @ 7-8 watts, that's my sweet spot. UUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!! WHY DID I HAVE TO START THIS!!! LOL1 point

Thanks for the heads up, Jeff! I've been searching for a light lavender color to match my eGo 650 for some time now. Couldn't find what they're calling it so I've contacted the owners of the site. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon so I can catch this price. ETA: Wow. As soon as I posted this I got a reply from Stormy. Now that's some great customer service! Unfortunately they don't have the color I wanted but I'll be buying from them when they get it back in stock.1 point

If you'll notice the dates this is a fairly old thread. So many new products have come out since then. As far as many of the members of this forum have attested eGo batteries, on the whole, are good, dependable ones. It's the tanks/clearomizers on top that can get finicky. The T3 and MT3s have been getting a lot of positive reviews. These are "bottom feeders" where the liquid goes through the bottom instead of a wick on top. The Vision Nano is also a bottom feeder that holds only 1 ml of juice. I've had the best of luck with all three. Patience and trial and error is what's needed when you're new to this. Perseverance is also good. Ask around and you'll find that you'll get lots of good advice from the experienced vapers around here. Edited to add: Vapor and throat hit are juice related, not anything to do with the battery or cartomizer/clearomizer that you're using. More VG (vegetable glycerin) = more vapor. More PG (propylene glycol) = more throat hit. If you're new to the VG/PG ration I'd suggest go with 50/50. That gives me a lot of vapor and enough throat hit to satisfy.1 point

2 each of lilac and blue: Swirl Ice CE4 mouth piece from GotVapes These are essentially just color versions of replacement mouth pieces for the CE4 (Vision Stardust). They're much prettier now and I might need to get a few more of their colors. It's so much more fun than just the normal black ones.1 point

HOW TO CHOOSE THE E CIGARETTE
yundoo002 reacted to danpio1217 for a topic
Agreed, a sample pack is def. gonna be the way to go, cuz you probably won't like what you think you'll like, and even then your tastes will likely change after being off smokes for a couple weeks1 point -
HOW TO CHOOSE THE E CIGARETTE
yundoo002 reacted to CascadianExotics for a topic
Congrats on taking the first step, and welcome to VaporTalk!!! If you're a pack-a-day smoker, I'd recommend around 18mg strength overall, and 24mg for those times you cannot vape for more than an hour between sessions. Though, I was about 15 cigs per day, I started at 26mg, and progressed quickly down to 12mg for my all-day vape. Everyone's experience and needs are different....YMMV. Generally, I'd suggest doing some research, and getting sample sets from a few different vendors, and finding what you like before going all-in on 30ml of juice. Hope this helps!!1 point -
LOL Jeffb, and quite true. Newbies don't inhale as deeply, don't take as long of draws of their eCigs. Why? Because their lungs are still too full of tar buildup. They'll be lucky to go through 3ml a day for the first week or so. The experienced vaper, one whose lungs have healed, can take those longer needed draws. Their draws now are almost equal to a real cigarette. They still, however, find it difficult to take a deep inhale like they did with their smokes, so they vape a little more often instead. The experienced Vaper will go through a good 3-6ml a day on average. This, of course, depends upon their delivery system. Sometimes 1ml of that is wasted in piddle puddles on the battery connection, etc... With that said, the Average ex 2 pad smoker now Experienced Vaper vaping 5ml a day to achieve the same nirvana as their 2pad habit, can say that 10 ml of juice equals roughly 80 cigarettes. But then, I don't do math, so I could be oh so wrong. I know I'm wrong. You know those 5 out of 4 people who can't do math right? I'm one of the 5.1 point

What kind of connector? Mine have KR808D-1 connectors and I've had the same problem with some of them (light comes on but it doesn't fire up the carto) until I learned the trick of re-setting the center connector on the battery using a small needle. See this video...1 point
