Hello my name is Mike I am 58 years old, have been a smoker all my life. I lost 80% of my left lung in 2000 from lung cancer. I was able to quit smoking for about eight months after my surgery. At that point I had a weak moment and thought I would have a cigarette! I guess it goes without saying that one cigarette was all it took and I was smoking again. A week ago today I bought a Ego-CTwist, I am pleased to say that since I purchased my e-cigarette I only had three cigarettes. I am very excited at the prospect that this will replace the bad habit that I've had for so long in my life. I enjoy the taste the convenience and knowing that I'm not getting all the other carcinogens and poisons that were in regular cigarettes. Keep your fingers crossed for me folks! I would love to see my grandson grow.2 points

Once you get the cap off, you can stick a round toothpick in the center hole to plug it. Then you don't have to be so careful when you add the new juice.2 points

@Uma I have a tote with drawers and they are stuffed so full it is difficult to open, SO... I will also be purchasing a larger tote, with bigger drawers.. haha You can come over for a party anytime! (I'll prolly have even more by then!) @Mega Poster: I'm not only hooked- I have become addicted.. in a good way, I think!! I have always suffered from obsessive compulsive disorder, (vacuum, dust and clean glass 2ce a day, count my steps that sort of thing,) But now some of the cleaning waits, cause now... I must shop for new juices!! If I find something I like, I get two! Thank goodness I can afford this new habit, and as a single mom, I dont have to answer to anyone but my widdle self!!2 points

Welcome to VaporTalk, Mike! What an awful ordeal you've been through! And, I'm afraid I'd have been in the same boat, if vaping hadn't of entered my life. It sucks to be so addicted to smoking. I'm so glad you switched to Vaping, and that you've started with the Twist! You've certainly done your research, that's a nice ecig. When I found a flavor I loved, it was easy to "forget" about having a cigarette, except for those dreaded 6 a day... waking, coffee, after eating, before bed... but one by one, they too left my life. I did, however, have to challenge them, challenge myself, and I'm still jumping up into the air and clicking my heels over quitting those lingering stubborn ones. Best of luck to you. You're off to a great start with that twist!1 point

I was watching some pbusardo reviews today and he had a little thing in the beginning of one video that made perfect sense foe new vapors. It went something like... The best set up and eliquid is the one that keeps you off the real thing. It's so true but us veterans lose sight of that when we're trying to teach newbies about the vaping experience. Some even try so hard to push what works for them or the biggest, most expensive mods/ products. I know we all have systems that work for us personally but it's definitely not one size fits all and that little quote reminds us if that.1 point

The Spinner kit that was suggested earlier, is spot on for what you need. It is Variable Volt... that means that if 3.7volts isn't doing it for you, just turn it up a notch or 2 or 5 until you find the ooooooommmmmph that is right for you at the time. Turn it back down for another juice or another time.... it's your call. Can't go wrong with a Spinner. Also, as suggested, try juice that has at least 20% VG added to the mix.1 point

Yeah I submitted a request probably about two weeks ago. I only have like 47 posts over there. I verified through Paypal so I don't know what the hold up is. Oh well, to think they could let more admins verify to help out whoever does it. Maybe they are just behind a lot. Lol1 point

You should be able to fill any of the cartos. The cap may be glued on and you may have to fight to get it out. Once you remove the cap and see the filler inside you can just drip around the edge to fill it. If that isn't working out you can go to any Walgreen's and pick up a blu. Their cartos are a 510 connection so if your device is 510 there ya go.1 point

And here is the update . The order came in today. On Saturday they emailed us if we really want the 808 D clearomizer or if that is the wrong type. We did not see the email for several hours and by the time we got around to reply the package was already sent out per the confirmation email we got from them. So...when I opened the package today, they had both thrown in the 808 D and the 510 Ego clearomizer, free of extra charge. All the e-juices came in and smell very good out of the bottle, I'll start to vape some a bit later. Additionally, they threw in another sample of 10 ml Georgia Peach e-juice, free of charge. And they also have a "referal" program, if you order with them and have a friend mention your name in the comments and they order for more than 25 dollars, you get a 10 dollar gift certificate. Might be interesting for some. Overall, I am super impressed with the customer service and how they went all out to make sure everything in my order was right, even if it would have been my fault for ordering the wrong part (but it was the right part for me, lol).1 point

Did you look at the vision spinner kit? That's two vv batteries. I mean you could go drop hundreds on mods but I doubt they will be any more satisfying than those. If you're determined to spend more money get a Provari or a Darwin. I think the juice delivery is the most important aspect. I would check out maybe a vivi nova or carto tank. There are also rba's but those take a little learning curve to get optimal performance. Listen to the members here, we don't recommend things that aren't good.1 point

The kit that Jeffb linked to looks like it'll fit the bill for you. Now you'll need e-liquid. The amount of VG content in the e-liquid is what will give you the most vapor BUT! keep in mind that with higher VG the thicker the juice and you'll have more of a chance of gumming up your clearomizer/cartomizer. I'd suggest going with a juice that's either 50 PG/50 VG or 40 PG/60 VG. That should give you plenty of vapor. My personal recommendation would be to go to EC Blends to get your juices. They allow all kinds of customization.1 point

Welcome to VT. First off the cartomizers that screw into the battery are disposable but can often be refilled many times before there is significant flavor loss. There are so many options to screw into the battery. You have atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, etc. They are all basically disposable after some use. Now, to your second question I'm not sure about shipping. As far as most people here we will recommend an ego "style" setup this will be a larger battery than you are used to but it has many benefits. The biggest benefit is the life cycle of the battery. You can get some that will last several hours to ones that last all day long. It's a trade-off though for battery life vs looks. I would recommend something like an ego and tank of some sorts either carto or vivi nova for "long journeys" as they typically last me most of the day before needing to be topped off. I know this is very generic advice but I hope it helps somewhat. Happy vaping.1 point
