  4. All good recommendations, but if you're looking for a good performance and features without the price, i gotta throw the vamo into consideration. I've been loving mine. Variable Voltage, Variable Wattage, ohm meter, and battery life check. Oh and you can use it as a full size or mini to boot. I don't have the "recommended" batteries for it, i just use my efest and AWR IMR 18650's with a battery spacer from avid vaper which eliminates the spring/jiggle issue. The mod only is like $60 most places. Add in a battery and charger and you have everything you need for well under $100.

  7. I'm still a noob myself, but I researched the whole issue for about 4 weeks before diving in. You can always just buy the battery and prefilled cartomizers. Cartomizers are cartridges that have the heating coil built into them. Most of the commercial prefilled systems, like v2, or blue, work that way. Prefilled cartomizers, however, might sometimes come already half dry, because they might have been stocked for a while. And they only come in a limited selection of flavors. So, the next step is to buy an empty cartomizer, buy some e-juice, which is the liquid that goes inside there, and do it yourself. I was a bit hesitant first because I thought this will be quite a task to do. In my few days I have been doing this I must say its not at all a nuissance to me - it becomes more of a nice "ritual" that I do in happy anticipation of my next vape hit. The easiest way is to take out the mouthpiece and drip the liquid in the white filling material of the cartomizer. The advantage is: you are in control of the flavor, of the fill level (no dry cartomizer if you monitor how much you vape) and you save money, as a five pack of empty catomizers runs usually somewhere beteen 5.99-8.99$ and e-liquid for 30 ml about 10-15$ and 5 prefilled cartomizers run about 9.99-12.99$. Cartomizers, at some point, have to be tossed, though some people clean them and get more use out of them that way. I have been using one Cartomizer since I bought the system pretty much continually and it's still working fine. So, this is the 2-piece type of equipment, like the kr808. Then, there is the 3-piece type of equipment, where you have the battery, the atomizer, and then a cartridge/tank/clearomizer. That means the heating coil is outside of your tank. Again, from time to time you have to toss the part that holds the e-liquid, or "rebuild" it, that means some people put their own wick in the tank and reuse the tank - that's way too advanced for me though. And the atomizer needs to be replaced from time to time too. And even the battery is not forever, so at some point you have to buy a new one, just like your cellphone battery runs old, the e-cigarette battery does to. As to how long the batteries last, the indication for that is the mAh. Mine are 280, and they last me about a whole day, but I have only been a half a pack a day smoker before. The higher the Ampere-hour usually the bigger the battery gets as well. I am unfortunately not in Europe and have no idea what supplier could get you a decent starter kit, but maybe somebody else can chime in for that. I have the Kr-808D, but most people here prefer the 510 Ego, it seems. However, there are also adapter screws available, if you buy one system you are not "doomed" to stick to it forever .

  8. Welcome to VT. First off the cartomizers that screw into the battery are disposable but can often be refilled many times before there is significant flavor loss. There are so many options to screw into the battery. You have atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, etc. They are all basically disposable after some use. Now, to your second question I'm not sure about shipping. As far as most people here we will recommend an ego "style" setup this will be a larger battery than you are used to but it has many benefits. The biggest benefit is the life cycle of the battery. You can get some that will last several hours to ones that last all day long. It's a trade-off though for battery life vs looks. I would recommend something like an ego and tank of some sorts either carto or vivi nova for "long journeys" as they typically last me most of the day before needing to be topped off. I know this is very generic advice but I hope it helps somewhat. Happy vaping.

    Clearomizers

My favorite is a cartomizer tank. A lot people really like the vivi nova tanks. Also, the kanger bottom coils either T3 or MT3. Good luck. I was never a big fan of the stardust. I always had leaking with them.

    Final steps! :-)

That uses the standard boge size which I think is 35mm. I personally prefer the taste from a lr carto. I have both standard and lr but I prefer the lr. That's a great tank btw. I have used his tanks for awhile now and I can't imagine you'll be disappointed. the xl cartos would work fine but will stick up out of the tank so it may look a little odd.

    Best Ry4?

I have been waiting to get my hands on some Dulcis since I first heard the hype. I found out about it on an English language Russian vaping forum of all places. Apparently, word travels pretty far about a good RY4.

    Hello.....new to eCigs

I bought my K-808 starter kit at Goodejuice.com for 35 bucks with two manual batteries, because I too wanted something that "feels" like a cigarette as far as it can. I augmented this set with the bloog automatic batteries, they have a sale right now ,20 bucks for four. I like the manual batteries because you can press the button and if you wait a second it produces more vapor than the automatic that only warm up when you suck on them. However, the automatic are much more convenient if you drive, for example. The also had a personal charger on sale at bloog, which is a good thing when you are not near a computer, so you don't run out of battery power. The V2 is also a 808, so its on the expensive side with 65 dollars. But you could use their cartos if you don't want to fill yourself - however, as has been said, prefilled ones are a bit hit and miss. I was a bit hesitant about filling myself, but I must say in the last 3 days I kind of figured it out (did everything from not enough juice to the juice dripping out of the carto, so it takes some fine tuning and some experience to estimate how much juice you vape out per personal use) and its super easy. I just have my little drip bottle with me, unhook the cap every couple of hours, put some ejuice in, and good to go again. And it will never taste dry. The batteries last me about a day of use before having to recharge - however, I was only a half a pack a day smoker before, so that might not be the typical use. They take about 4 hours to recharge. Hope this helps you a bit!

  15. Hmm. you may have conviced me. I'll give one of them a shot and let ya know how it goes. I have xxl boges, the 50mm so i'll pick up one of the bigger tanks and give it a shot. Thanks!

  16. Welcome to VT. You will get a million different opinions on what's best. I can list what I like and what I've heard many like. For me I like boge lr cartos, 510 or 901 dripping atties, as well as the couple rebuildables that I have. Many people like the mini vivi nova, the kanger clearos both top coil and bottom. The stardust clearos were very popular a couple months ago. There are too many to list. Your best bet is to pick up several of each and get a feel for their ins and outs. Happy vaping! Also, look outside of TW...there are much better and cheaper vendors around to do business with. Just my 2c.

    Sampler packs?

TVR has a couple of sampler packages, as well as some pretty good deals. Plus, new customers get a free 15ml bottle of whatever you want, and they'll throw in a free 3ml bottle of something with every purchase. Kinda hard to go wrong with that. Though, it's really easy to go overboard with the juice order... http://www.thevaporroom.net

    Best Ry4?

Yeah, it did seem a little odd, but in their defense, I did ask them if they wanted me to send it back once they told me they'd ship out a replacement. To be honest, I kinda figured they'd say, "Nah...it's our bad...just keep it". Surely they won't resell it. It sort of creeps me out now that I think about a juice vendor taking returns. *ATTENTION JUICE VENDORS* In the future, if you send the wrong product to a customer, it's probably a good idea to just write it off and fast-ship the right product to them. *THAT IS ALL*

Here's one of my happy places. Especially when the kids are fishin' and I brought the Kindle along.

  20. The way I see it is this. If I spend $200-$300 on a mod I can surly justify a $30 drip tip. Kinda like eating fine sushi on a paper plate or putting plastic wheel covers on a Ferrari. $30 is less than we spent on smoking in a week. Lol
