Hi Pat. My advice to you get yourself an ecig that has good reviews and at least a couple of different flavors to try with it. No flavor is going to be exactly the same as what you are smoking but there will be plenty of flavors that you will probably like better. Use your e-cig and smoke your butts when you feel you need to and if you are anything like I was you will find yourself smoking much less. When this happens just tell yourself "that's it!" and never smoke again. Vape for as long as you want and when you want to quit that just do it. As far as telling you which e-cig to get, well, that's a matter of opinion and there are so many. For less hassle and longer battery life, I would suggest an eGo, KGO, or similar bigger battery type e-cig. There are few smaller cig-style ones that work well but battery life becomes an issue--It sucks to have the thing blink out and need a charge after such a short time.3 points

Well I made it. Yesterday was 1 year without a cigarette. Never thought it was possible after 50 years of smoking. Thanks to everyone for the help and support.2 points

Best Ry4?

I'm quite proud to see Vapor Talk's Dulcis listed in the A category. Since closing the VT store earlier last year I've received literally hundreds of emails asking about it. Just for the record the VT store is opening at the end of the month, along with it is the return of Dulcis for those interested1 point -
I have 1 glass tip (not a trippy tip, i think it's from theecig but it's been so long) and it's probably my favorite, but I never bring it out with me (I broke one prior) and it's got a really long neck so it only really fits in my drip atties. I mainly like it because it's soft, and doesn't heat up. For everyday use I've recently gotten back into the stainless ones (satin finish, just the regular rounded style) cause they fit well and look spiffy in my clearo tanks. Ceramic mings are also super nice, I think they are a little smaller than stainless mings (at least from what I remember) and the glaze finish makes them really smooth. Also, on these ones, no little lip bits if I forget chapstick! (sorry if tmi :P ) That being said, it's been a while since I've taken the time to post here. I feel guilty in a weird way... is it too late for me to be on here? I can't sleep ... I'll just go lurk over there1 point

Hang in there, I feel you'll probably work it out, if it's work-out-able. If it's not, then hopefully they'll do a recall. I should have bought one too, so I'd know first hand what you're dealing with. (not that I'm a pro, but it helps to "know" the product when lending tidbits of advice). Make sure the nuts are tight. Make sure there is no moisture in the center tube Make sure the coil isn't digging into the wick. It might have tightened while trying to pull the wick over to the center post. Pulsate the coil and see if it heals itself. (really iffy fix when it's the top coil though. But it works great with the other coils). Make sure the mod is set at 3.0 or lowest setting, or that your battery is 1/2 empty or less. (dying batts are our friend for these!) Remove the top nut, does it make a difference? Twist the wire right around the post itself, instead of using the nuts. Any difference? Loosen the top nut. Any difference? Tighten the top nut. Any difference? (usually this is the fix). Tighten the base nut, maybe it's loose? Is your wick off the bottom of the tank? Is your wick cut level with or lower than the center post? (if it touches the top cap, it will short) Is your wick small enough to not come in contact with the sides of the wick hole? Try twisting your wick around a notch, maybe a fray is shorting somewhere on the coil? Re-torch your wick, especially the ends. Pour your favorite liquor into a nice hot cup of cocoa and relax a spell. It'll work out.1 point

The DID series is the most affordable out of the best available, plus it's usually in stock. Until you are ready for a "forever" atty, pick up a clone, like MSE suggested! (good suggestion MSE!!). Try the AGA-T (get 2 if you can, so you can have spare parts in case you lose a nut or scratch the center tube). It's a good one to learn the ropes with. Here is a tutorial for DIY changing out the center tube if it gets scratched, until the vendors start carrying real SS center tube parts for them. http://ukvapers.org/Thread-AGA-T-SS-Center-Post Discount Vapers http://www.discountvapers.com/aga-tiamat-rebuildable-atomizer/ I think just about everybody carries the AGA-T now, they've become a hot item! (even if they do need improvement). My apologies for taking so long to get back to you, I've been away from the internet all day, due to rain. Now I'm visiting the kids, and can talk away.1 point

Does anyone know of any YouTube videos that show how to set up the AGA Tiamat PLUS, including info on SS mesh and coils? I am a complete noob when it comes to RBAs, so I'm basically looking for "An Idiot's Guide To RBAs".1 point

Uma. I hope you realize that you are putting a huge dent in my ProVari budget. If I'm gonna get an RBA, I want the best performing one, and they cost more than my most expensive mod. Although the "DID" is the genuine article, are there others that are better, or is the "DID" the best available?1 point

Well, I'm disappointed in myself. I can't seem to get a decent coil going on this yet. I've wrapped 3 coils so far, two with the same wire and I just can't get the hotspots out. They are all the top coil, I'm running 32 kanthal and I've tried wiggling and moving the wick closer to the post. Blah, I'll have to tinker with it this weekend. I tried two free hand wrapped coils as well as one I wrapped on a drill bit. I dunno... The build quality of the unit itself seems good. The top cap o-rings are good! That's a relief considering my experience with the aga-s. My unit shipped with both a plastic and glass tank, they both seem good enough. I will have to dedicate some time to playing with the coils. I wish it was just a wrap and go affair but obviously not today. I will post pics up once there's not a huge hotspot on the top coil.1 point

I am not sure I understand the upgrade mentality. All it has to do is provide voltage to the atomising device.I can make usable vapor with anything from a 180 mAh stock battery to an 18650 mAh mod.The trick is finding the perfect liquid and atomising device.I would pesonally tell you to just get a Vivi Nova and start shopping liquid vendors.1 point
