Funny how we all forget that when we smoked we spent $6 a pack. A hybrid even at $300 is less than 2 months of smoking. Come on do it! (Peer Pressure! Jk!!) They do hold their value very very well also. Hybrids like the Orion V2.1 are selling for more than retail value because they are so popular and the supply is very low. I'm on the list for the V3 and have been for about 4 months now.2 points

Nope, because the 28gauge is thicker, which changes the Resistance. The lower 28 gauge wire is thicker, there is more material for the juice to hang up on and linger, which keeps the flavor coming at ya, and the wick wetter as well. The 500 mesh has a stronger matrix which attracts and holds more liquid, so your mesh wick is always wet too. Taste is subjective, but, there is a slight difference for most vapers. If not today, then maybe tomorrow. Our tastebuds are always changing on us. Very true and :vapor: I'll drink to that.2 points

I've only tried a ceramic ming. I agree with mse12 in that it feels great on the lips....especially when it's cold! I just picked up 3 more! Lol2 points

Just grabbed 3 more vivi nova svt's and 3 ceramic ming's. so excited to make a backup....my first since starting!2 points

This only really applies to genesis atomizers when using different gauge wire. When using a low resistance 510 atty or a standard resistance 510 the difference isn't noticeable because it uses the same gauge wire. The only difference is the length (amount of wraps) of the wire.1 point

I knew someone would bite. Lol! It absolutely is not the same experience. 28 gauge Kanthal is obviously thicker in diameter. Hence covering more surface area of the wick, which in turn comes in contact with more juice at once. Don't believe me try it. I've done it and the experience is absolutely noticeable. Sometimes we all get caught up in the math when at the end of the day it's something subjective like how we experience 8 watts that throws it all out the window.1 point

Uma, you sure know how to make a person feel good!! My "list" is under my smoke free banner. But, I'll put it here....Mark's Mod, eGo, Provape 1, OG juice box mods, Ali'i, Reo Grand, and two Lava Tubes (large & small). I'll gather my stuff together and see if I can get a pic, then I'll try (notice I said "try") to post one. I just don't have much any more. My list of what I've had in the past is much, much, much longer. LOL1 point

Maybe the "Triple Stack" will be better, and if not, I'm sure the "Quadruple Stack" will be awesome, but if that's not, then... (Wow...this quote works for Novas and Burger King burgers!)1 point

From another forum: "According to information unearthed here on this thread (about eight months or so back) from reliable inside sources, the original RY4 is indeed still made and sold. That was (and is) Janty Elixir RY4. The story we got is that the first-ever no-kidding original RY4 was created literally as a lark during a single afternoon in a Dekang factory in China back in 2007 by two men: Ludo---one of the owners of Janty (who was visiting the factory because Dekang manufactured Janty's e-liquids)---and a flavor chemist, presumably working for Dekang. The RY4 you're talking about---the now-mythic "lost" Dekang RY4---was one of numerous Dekang variations on the original Janty recipe. It was actually stolen in the summer of 2009 by a Dekang flavor chemist who was departing to start his own juice company. He was subsequently arrested, tried, convicted, and is serving a prison sentence in China. Meanwhile, the stolen recipe remains missing to this day. So, you want the original? Buy some Janty Elixir RY4. You want the lost Dekang? It doesn't exist, although numerous attempts have been made to replicate it. I hadn't started vaping in 2009, so I never had any of the Dekang reformulation that some folks would apparently sell their first-born to have again, so I can't tell you how close the current Dekang formula or IKV RY4 Gold are. Ikenvape's was supposed to be a dead ringer, but many people who had the lost Dekang insist that it had no nuttiness at all, and IKV RY4 is definitely nutty, so who knows?"1 point

What's wrong with the smell (and taste) of cheap whiskey? Seriously, though, I vape Dekang RY4 regularly, and I taste tobacco, caramel, and vanilla, like a sweet-ish vanilla pipe blend. Since ditching analogs, I have a pretty discerning palate, and I can usually tell (with one pull) which of my juices is in any unmarked carto. Dekang juices, unlike most other brands I've tried, is consistent in taste from order to order, which is one of the main reasons I continue buying it...no suprises. As they say, though, "taste is subjective"...Brussels sprouts. PS - I know my recommendations may not carry much weight with you now, but IKV RY4 Gold PG is one that a vaping buddy of mine really likes, but I liked it, too, sooooo... From their website: "IKV authentic RY4 E-liquid Smokey, nutty, and caramelly tobacco fine tuned for perfection with a constant clean burn guaranteed with a 80/20 PG/VG ratio This e-liquid has been a year in the making of recreating the legendary lost flavor of the Real RY4. Try the e-liquid that had have gotten thousands off of smoking, what has been a cornerstone in the vaping world. Many stores across the world tried to duplicate the flavor by using series upon series of concoctions. If you are reading this listing, this means you probably have been chasing the old reminiscent of the lost flavor. Look no further and pick up the flavor one last time and you will be amazed. With steeping comes Greatness. When this liquid is stored in a dark, cool area, the color will start to darken creating a beautiful blast of flavor."1 point

I'm using the itaste MVP Had the eGo's had the custom mods... but in the end found this and sold everything else. Coolest thing about the MVP is that I can charge my phone or any USB device with it! And that its variable voltage. Plus the charge lasts and lasts... and lasts some more.1 point

I have a VAMO that I'm less than stoked about. I'm really glad you love yours though! The VAMO is too thick for her. I'm talking diameter, I think the VAMO is around 22mm -ish.1 point

You don't have to be rocking the biggest newest rig around here. We're happy to have you if your vaping a $200 mod or a $5 gas station special!1 point

I'm surprised nobody else is into showing off their tools of the trade!...sad day in VT!1 point

We tried helping. You can't help those who aren't willing to be helped. No loss to VT we don't need those who start drama. Good luck to you if you continue vaping but if not very well. I hope you go over to ecf, you sure will fit in.1 point

Provari mini would be a great device! I don't have one but I've never heard a down side to them. Except maybe price.1 point

I think I may do just that. Save and pick up one of the "real" ones!1 point

I dont have that particular unit although it does look like the Lavatube. I would suggest getting a Vivi Nova or MT3. http://www.discountvapers.com/vision-vivi-nova-tank-clearomizer-v2-5/ http://www.discountvapers.com/kanger-mt3-rebuildable-clearomizer-black/1 point

I do like the ceramic tips as well, but the plastic ones are probably just a little less likely to break on me when I'm clumsy.1 point

I too hoped on the lavatube band wagon. It was amazing for a few months until it completely fell apart. So I had my buddies at Vegas Vapes order me a ZMax, I've had it for about a week and could not be happier! Its performance is par none. I have a buddy that has a provari, and my ZMax hits better and harder than his provari, same tank, it out-performs that provari all day long! ZMax is the way to go!1 point

If you order juice and vape it regardless of where it originates you should be ready to take responsibility of any consequences that arise from its use. The companies did not come to you and force you to vape their product. Its your responsibility to be an informed consumer. Just sayin...1 point

I get much of my stuff from ecig express...very good selection of supplies, flavors, nicotine, PG/VG. It takes a bit to build up supplies, especially flavors....so many flavors. My personal favorites are still flavor west and flavour Art. to start: keep things simple....I use a syringe and blunt needle. some 3 ml bottles are great for mixing in small amounts until you find a mix you like...much less to waste. if you have an android....I love the 'eliquid recipe manager'. very easy to use and can calculate multiple flavors. Merry Mixing !!!1 point

This is what works for me. I have found that Wizard Labs is my one stop shop for DIY juice. You can do it 1 of 2 ways the easiest is just order pre-mixed liquid in the strength and vg/pg percentage that you want to be at like 12mg 50/50 up to 500 m/l. Then order however many flavors you want to try (they are only $1.49 for an 8 m/l glass vial) and add the liquid and flavor to one of your spare bottles. Most people start at 10% flavor so in a 10 m/l bottle add 1 m/l of flavor fill with liquid and shake very simple. Or you can order a higher % of nicotine and some pg and vg and cut down to whatever level you want using a downloadable ejuice calculator. I recommend that you order syringes and needles of various sizes while you are there also (very cheap). That is what I use to measure and mix with and have not needed graduated cylinders. They are known for the security of the packages, quality of nicotine, and great prices. Also if you order over $65.00 it ships free.1 point

Don't panic, dude. There is a solution to your dilemma. I know it sucks to have a messed up finish on a new mod, but J-wraps offers several styles of vinyl mod wraps for just about every PV on the market, including your Vamo. They also do custom wraps from your own pics or logo. Their prices aren't bad either. I have a Sigelei Zmax and its finish is very smooth and slippery, so I'll be ordering the black carbon fiber Zmax wrap for it this weekend. If you haven't already ordered one by then, I plan to post a review of my J-wrap shortly after I get it.1 point

I see ribbed but what about studded? Everyone has their preferences...hahaha, couldn't resist.1 point

Agreed I'd say the vast majority will vape more than smoke. It's easier to do more frequently when you can actually breathe afterwards. Welcome.1 point

I have visions of people mixing liquid in thier basements and garages when it comes to most domestic eliquid. While most of the components DIY folks use are safe for consumption when used as intended funny things happen when you mix things together and heat them up.just sayin....1 point

This is some really good info. Especially using 0mg right before bedtime! I think I'll start using 24 in the morning, then a 18 in the afternoon, a 12 in the evening and a 0 at bedtime. I also keep a variety of levels and flavors, and now I totally get the point. Thanks guys.1 point

You hast get the "want to" to get all the way off the analogs.Once I accepted I would never find a liquid and device that were just like smoking it got a whole lot easier.I tried quite a few different manufacturers of liquid and went back and revisited some as my tastebuds were restored.I have found some very tasty liquids that I look forward to and have gotten to where the nic is not an issue I can vape no nic and enjoy it just as good as low nic.One thing that helped me was to clean the house and van and get rid of all the smoke that coated everything .I washed all the curtains and coats ,repainted .And now I am at the point I can smell a smoker from across the room and cannot beleive I smelled like that all the time. Now I am noticing that the vapor is coating stuff and causing a different smell. Not as bad but I may have to deal with that.I have been vaping over three years now and pretty much vape like I smoked.I keep the cost down as low as possible and just keep it around for those moments I need to take a break .1 point

What kind of E-Cigarette do you smoke?
CascadianExotics reacted to Christopher for a topic
Yea true. If the Penstyle produced the same amount of smoke at the Kissbox then I don't think I would purchase the Janty. Now if the DURA produced as much smoke/vapor as the Penstyle then I'd be on it tonight. Again something I suppose Parked could answer1 point
