New Mod For My Wife!
lazymorulz reacted to mse12 for a topic
So my wife and I are both quickly approaching our one year vaporversary. Over this year I've bought four different big battery mods while she has stuck faithful to her ego's. A couple months ago I got her a twist which she loves after some time. I am looking to buy her a nice device to mark our first year smoke free. I have to get something on the small side. I know she kind of likes my legacy but the size is too much for her. I'm thinking maybe precise plus our something along those lines. I need input! She's a small woman and won't use anything as big or bigger than a legacy standard...any advice? She doesn't care much about vv or long battery life as long as it's reliable. She doesn't mind to charge a time or so a day and she's not a heavy vaper either maybe 1-3ml /day. She loves her mini nova too so that will have to look decent on it lol.1 point -
It sounds to me like you might be allergic to something, either the PG, the VG or the Flavoring or Sweetner. Try vaping just pure PG (kosher, food grade), with no flavoring. (get empty carts, and fill with). Try this for a few days. If okay, then: Next, try vaping with just pure VG (kosher, food grade), with no flavoring. If okay, then" Next, try vaping with a 50/50 mix of NON flavored VG/PG. If okay, then, Next, add one drop, and one drop only, of a flavoring from your "stash" on hand. Any symptoms? If okay, then add two. .... etc... There's one thing you must know about us vapers. If something is not right, we brainstorm it! We don't "hide" it, we want to get things figured out. We are all individuals, we all have different reactions to the air we breathe, the food we eat, the lotions we dab... You just need to chill out and figure out what works best for you personally. Good luck1 point

Congrats (soon!) to the both of you!! The P+ is always a good choice.. Anything built by Super-T is outstanding. You can't go wrong with a Super-T product. There are so many choices out there right now. I'll run a few of them by ya. The Piccolo The Temon (you get 2 tubes and 1 RBA 16mm size) The P+ The Fine That should get ya Googleing.1 point

That nic rate is bloated without question. I ordered one of the free trials and after hearing how weak the "3%" was I ordered the "4.5"...yeah right. I've been vaping almost a year and there is zero chance the nic is above 20-24mg...I don't have a lab to verify that but just from comparison there's no way its that high. At 4.5% you're talking about 45mg/ml...nope. I vape 12mg typically. The njoy is stronger than that but nowhere near what they claim. The only way that rating is right is if they are using ultra cheap nic base....like cocaine cut with sugar..lol1 point

I've read that the enjoy kings have large amounts of nic. The strongest is around 30mg,I'm sure that's why they suggest that you limit the amount of puffs. I think if you got a kit and got juice around 12-18mg it would be fine. Just remember to listen to your body it will tell you if you're getting too much nic.Headaches, queasy stomach, jitters etc... I won't be much help with the euro plugs but I believe you can get adapters suitable for charging e-cigs.Hopefully someone will chime in soon who knows for sure. Welcome and good luck with vaping. Edit: yes I have read that nic is absorbed through the membranes in the mouth so you do get some nic even if you don't inhale.1 point

New And Newbie Questions - Puff Limit? Travel To Europe?
SonjaWi reacted to Christopher for a topic
Well I'll tell you this, I wouldn't worry about the 15 puffs ordeal. Let me tell you, we all blow that rule I've honestly never heard of it till you mentioned it. Shoot, most smokers take 10 puffs per cigarette. If it's purely habitual, I'd go with the Njoy and I'm sure you'll be fine. If they don't offer zero, or perhaps it doesn't work for you, then go with either the KR808 or Joye 510. My advice? Get a Joye 510 Tank with Zero MG liquid. Easy to fill, no mess no fuss, will take care of the hand to mouth ordeal and you'll be good to go.1 point -
Fda Petition On Whitehouse.gov
Uma reacted to Christopher for a topic
Actually I think this is a great idea. The Whitehouse really pays attention to those petitions. While they don't respond to all of them, they are very aware of what' son the site. Heck, they responded to the "Build a Death Star" petition. I'll push this onto the Vapor Talk Facebook and Twitter pages towards the morning when America starts waking up1 point -
New And Newbie Questions - Puff Limit? Travel To Europe?
SonjaWi reacted to Christopher for a topic
I'm a little confused here, you've stated the type of cigarette you smoke along with the nicotine content but you don't inhale? If you're not inhaling, the amount of nicotine your getting is probably minim at best. (If any at all) To me it sounds like you'd be better off sucking on some candy or perhaps holding a pin. It would seem to me the most additive part of smoking is none existent to you. In fact I'm honestly not sure at all why you need any strength nicotine, why not go right to zero?1 point -
I'm no help in the Europe department but that puff count is bogus. I'd say almost 99% of us that vape do it much more than we ever smoked. I would recommend starting at a either 12mg or 18mg nic. Those are good baselines. I say start there and build or take away as desired. I highly doubt you'll od on an ecig unless you get some crazy high nic like over 24...that's just my 2c. Also, welcome to VT!1 point
-
Now that some time has passed and I'm sure you've gotten and tried the 12 mg by now...how goes it with the lower nic? Although I started out with 24 mg of nicotine I'm now mostly vaping 6 mg with an ocassional 12 thrown in just because. Once in a great while when I can't vape as much but need the nicotine in a hurry I fall back on the 24 mg as a temporary stand-by but it's only a few puffs at a time.1 point

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping. I would also suggest that you try bumping up your nic level a little for a while. I started out with 48mg, waaay to much. Then 36, still a little too much, then 24mg and found it to be a good level for a while. Now after 3 yrs I'm down to 18 and it's a nice middle of the road level. The Veteran Vaper here on the forum sells VT liquid and it's a really good e-liquid. The "Exotic" is a really good tobacco (555) flavor. Also, try and get your liquid in a 50/50 or a 70/30 pg/vg mix. It makes the vapor heavier and that will help just a little bit. As you know, there is a crap ton of vendors out there. Unfortunately taste is very subjective, so what I may like you may think is really sh***y. I think as long as you stay with some of the bigger juice vendors like VT, Rawr, Clouds of Vapor, PinkSpot, and some of the others listed on the forum, you should do fine. I would also suggest Ahlusion, but I warn you that their flavors a little subtle. Well that's all I can tell you right now, like that's not enough. Good luck and happy vaping1 point

This is huge just by itself! I have no more juicy 510 connections with my rba's at all! I love these a little more every day!1 point

I really hope this is a winner! I need a workhorse rba that I can take to work. I'm using my rba's at home and carto tanks at work. I look forward to getting home a little more everyday if you know what I mean! Lol I need one that can handle minimal abuse and my AGA-S just isn't it. If it were the screw cap than probably yeah but not with the sucky o-rings. I have gone to two auto parts stores trying to find a suitable replacement but so far they are all too thick. I can find plenty that fit around but none that will allow the cap to go down...1 point

I don't use kicks. Especially with gennys. I vape way too low ohm coils for a kick to be of any use to me. Lol1 point

The Beast Box VV takes 2 x 26500 3000mah batteries...that's roughly 60 hours of vape time between charges! I WANT ONE!!!1 point

Ah I thought you were saying there is a batt like the Spinner that goes to 8 Volts. 8 Volts is overkill imho. I never even vape at 6volts. 4.3-4.8 is my sweet spot.1 point

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
Uma reacted to Srfnhooker for a topic
Brand new to vaping. It's my first post to any PV forums. A buddy at work has an ego 1100 passthru with a cartomizer full of Vanda vanilla. Really great. So I made my first purchase today. Ego-t 650 passthru battery with lock. V2 clearomizer Smoketech low resistance cartos 5 And some juice. Am looking so forward to the beginning of the end for the analogs. Any suggestions for equipment to make the vaping experience better, I'm all ears.1 point -
It is absolutely possible you are allergic to something, and taking one puff here and one puff there, isnt going to change it.. Before you give up you need to try a "PG free" juice. If at first you dont succeed, you try, and try again.. (if needed)1 point

I usually get 24mg nic, 75/25 pg/vg. I think more vg will give you more vapor and throat hit. When I first started I ordered about 20 different juices and tried everything to see what I'd like. The key is to find a vendor that will let you buy sample sizes at a cheap price. There are so many ejuice vendors you will always find something new at a good price. I only order from the US for fast/cheap shipping mainly. I swear you will end up saving money in the end. But yea, I went a little crazy and spent a lot in the beginning. It was the best investment I ever made! I haven't tried it but many people swear by Bobas bounty. I like cookie and baked goods, fruits always seem great, but I moved away from tobacco flavors. The thought of tasting burnt leaves just doesn't appeal to me anymore.1 point

I've tried a lot (a whole lot!!!) of different e-juices, both U.S. and Chinese, and although I've found some really good U.S. juices, I have to say that what I keep going back to is Dekang's DK-TAB or RY4 from China. Every vaper that I've let try either of those e-liquids for the first time says, "Wow...that's really good!" (or something to that effect).1 point

Well I shouldn't have but I just bought my first REALLY BIG battery mod! Yay!! Most are thinking of an 18650...nope. I got a bombshell stinger en route from Hotvapes! This thing takes a 26650 plus the kick! Score! I bought one of hotvape's 3500mah MNKE IMR batteries. I also bought two more additional 26650's. One a 4000mah IMR and the other a "high drain" 3600mah both from www.batteryspace.com we'll see how these two work out. The IMR should be just fine but we'll see about the other it's used in extreme high-drain application up to 18A so I'm not sure how it'll work on a 2-3A load which will be typical with the kick. We'll see for sure. I'm ultra excited for the new toys!1 point

Thanks for the help everyone! I ordered four juices to try. I tried a few disposable tobacco cigs and thought they were terrible. They were Apollo and Nstyle. So I really hope I like at least one of these. Bobas Bounty and Red box medium flavor from Alien Vapor and 555 and American full flavor from Charlestown ecig. I know Alien's are made in the US. But I have to say I am a little worried about the ones that are not made in the USA who knows what they are putting in there. But I had to order them because thats all they had available where i ordered my starter kit. How do you all feel about the juices made out of the US? From what I see Dekang is a large supplier from China. Do you all feel just as good about vaping a Dekang juice as you do a Alien juice?1 point

Clearos like Vision, T3 and Vivi Nova are easy to change flavors also. Just give them a quick rinse with water, shake them dry and fill em up. Some stronger flavors will might linger in it for a short while but it will quickly take on the new flavor.1 point

Direct dripping is the best way to try new flavors...or so I've found. If the flavors are complementary and/or similar I don't bother to clean out the atomizer between flavors. I do use one atomizer for fruit flavors and a different one for bakery flavors. This way it doesn't matter if one flavor mixes with another for a while. They still taste yummy. Fruit flavors, I've found, are a bit more delicate, which is why I prefer to use a separate atomizer for them.1 point
-
That's correct. I just drip and blow them out between flavors. If they are TOO different I may run hot water through them and let them dry over night. Make sure you still blow them/shake them out. I typically just blend them together because I'm too lazy. That's just me.1 point

Before you guys start making jokes about ancient beliefs you should probably wait until "Doomsday" is over....just to play it safe. If you have a wood mod you should probably knock on it now.1 point

When I smoked analogs I didn't smoke them inside the house, always went outside. I smoked in my car but not when there was a non-smoker riding along. On long trips, my stopping to get out of the car to smoke made the trip longer. Oh well. I always crack the window open when I drive, it doesn't matter if I'm smoking, vaping or whatever. I just like the fresh air. Aaaaaand I'm allergic to little kids so they don't get to ride in my car.1 point
