    A Msg Of Thanks

It's been a while since I was last here, but I wanted to stop bye and thank all my old friends here at Vapor Talk. I'm coming up on my third year analog free and I wouldn't have made it this far without a lot of help and support from the folks here. Chris, this is my forum home. I know I haven't been around as much as I use to be, but I haven't forgotten where my friends are. Without this place in the beginning I don't believe I would have lasted this long. For this I give you a big thank you! This forum and the support you give people is a big asset. "O" ( iamofortuna), Skruff (skruff77), your love, support, and friendship has meant the world to me. All those nights at first on the chat were really a lot of fun, and I got a lot of information at the same time. Love you guys. Mark, you've been a great friend and a big help in my getting where I am today in vaping. Having someone close to go to is a big help when someone is just getting started. I thank you so much. Jeffb, BD, Brian, Kitsune, Uma, Joe2003, and so many others, thank you for being there when I needed answers or just someone to talk with. The friendship you all have shown me is greatly appreciated. All in all this place is the best place for any one who is just getting started with this vaping thing to be at. The help and support you all give is something you all should be very proud of. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Much love to you all!!!! Snubber

    Starting From Scratch Diy

So I've been vaping now for almost one year! Yay, now I want to start mixing my own juice. I have no supplies other than a ton of empty bottles. I vape 50/50 mix at 12mg and am very pleased with that as a potential starting point. First off what supplies can I source locally vs online. I want to pick up what I can locally. Second what physical supplies do I need as in graduated cylinders etc? Lastly where do you prefer to buy your nic base and flavorings? I want to start on the small scale until I get it right so I don't need gallons upon gallons of stuff. I've got rba's down for the most part so this is the final step for me to be self sufficient. Thanks for all the help in advance! Happy vaping!

  3. Hi all.. I'm just getting into vaping. I tried once before & the crappy e-cig I bought in 7 11 made my chest feel heavy & was not a good vape at all. I recently learned that.. um yep.. that's what happens when you buy a cheap piece of crap. I decided to make the switch for a few reasons. First off... I am really sick of smoking cigarettes. I can't light up anymore without thinking of all the garbage I'm inhaling. Also... I like the idea of being able to "smoke" at work without having to step outside. Another thing is.. I don't smoke at home because it triggers my girlfriend's asthma. It would be nice to fulfill the urge while relaxing on the couch or with my morning coffee AT the kitchen table again. One thing I noticed too is.. I don't always need a full cigarette. usually I'm good after 2 or 3 drags, but then I feel obligated to smoke the whole thing because they're so damn expensive. With an e-cig I'd just get what I need & put it down.

    Need Help Or Suport

That's called "vapers' tongue", and it happens to all of us from time to time. My advice to you is to drink plenty of water because it's said that vaping dehydrates the body to some degree. I've noticed that if I take a drink of ice water just before a vape, it brings out the flavor of my juice a lot more.

Dunno wut's wrong with mine, when i first filled i let it sit for 3 or 4 minutes, then started vaping it on my vamo at 6 watts. Got next to no VTF so i cranked it up to 7 watts and thats where i get horrible scratchy hits. I've since cranked it down to 5.5-6 watts which takes away the scratchy hits but gives me no TH or flavor. If you're using these, and feel like they're performing well, could you post what watts you're using it at, or the voltage and ohms of your setup? If you could also include the flavor and PG/VG ratio of the juice i'd appreciate it. I'm using a 75/25 so i wouldn't think the juice is the problem but hey, ya never know.

    Whats Really Good?

I think the most suitable answer here is an ego battery or two and boge cartos. Just my 2c.

  7. I got an RBA for my Reo and love it. But, so far I haven't had to rebuild it. It just keeps going and going. The videos make it look pretty simple to rebuild. I bought lots of extra wire and wick because it was so cheap. For the longest time I just bought old 510 attys and used those. My RBA has been much more consistant for hits.

@mse12 I second that. At just $24 shipped, it really is one of the best eGo-style VVs I've come across. Its 1300mAh battery lasts a really long time between charges, and it's shorter than most batteries half its capacity. If only it had a USB charge port and I didn't have to use an eGo charger, it would be the perfect battery for me...I hate having to remove my juicers to charge it.

  9. Thanks for all the replies and support guys. My Apollo Standard Starter Kit and the juices I bought from mse12 (plus extras!) both arrived today. I have tried a couple of the flavors in the variety pack so far and have to say I am thrilled with the experience. I am already hooked on vaping and since I hadn't smoked for four years, I can't see myself ever wanting a "real" cigarette again.

  10. 3-4ml a day for me of the 18mg stuff, sometimes 5-6 if I'm under the gun with a deadline and stressing out...

    Upgrading From My V2.

You *almost* got it right. Think of an atty as an engine you put into your car. The cartomizer is also an engine so if you have one under the hood there isn't room for the second one. You use one at a time. Notice how I didn't even try to make a reference to, "...you don't want to put the second engine under the hood." The Vivi Nova and Vivi Nova mini aren't hard to use at all. Open top, pour juice in making sure none go into the center post, screw top back in. Screw onto battery. Let the tank sit a few minutes to allow the wick to soak up the juice and vape. Not hard at all. Same goes for the Vision Stardust/CE4, T2, T3...

  12. Whee! I just got myself some Kanger T3 Clearomizers... Got sick of the fact that I'm able to kill a typical CE4 within a week and a half - wanted to be able to just replace the base without replacing the whole unit. And the T3 suits my vaping style - long slow inhales seem to be the best method for using the thing... and that's how I prefer it (and why the CE4s die quickly..)

How Long Does 10 Ml Last You?

I used to get a work week(5 days) out of a 10ml. More powerful ecigs will go through more juice and I vape more often now so 2 or 3 days tops. I think the 10ml size is good to buy 2 or 3 at a time so you can try different things and when you find one you really like just get a 30ml and that will last you a while.

  14. It's all in how you vape. I'm a heavy vaper. I'm usually vaping from the time I get up till I go to bed. So some days it's 6 or 7 mls a day, maybe more. " Your mileage may vary" My biggest suggestion would be to make sure that you always have enough stored up just in case..nothing worse than running out of juice, except maybe running out of batteries. As one of our long timers here always says "back-ups back-ups back-ups!!! Good luck and happy vaping!

  15. As it's been said so many times before "taste is suggestive"..what one person just loves another may think it tastes like ***. The problem comes from the fact that you're not burning leaves and paper (and 4000 chemicals). So nothing is going to taste exactly like an analog. What you need to do is try several "tobacco" flavors until you find the one that's right for you. I've found several tobacco flavors that I like from different vendors. Each is a little different from the next. Some may have a hint of coffee, or caramel, and flue cure. I DIY a honey tobacco that I think tastes great, but it smells awful to others ( bad feet or burning burlap) VT has a great "Exotic" tobacco that I started out with and is still one of the best I've ever tasted. As far as vendors go I can suggest Ahlusion, PinkSpot Vapors, Rawr, Gourmet Vapor, and of course Veteran Vapor here on the forum who is carrying the Vapor Talk juice. There are hundreds more and most vendors of pv's also carry a line of juices. So do some looking around and taste tests and you'll find something I think you'll like. So good luck and happy vaping! p.s. don't forget to try other fruit and dessert flavors also.

  16. As stated above it's a very individual thing. I go through ~4ml/day sometimes more.

  17. I'm super excited! This thing will be a beast hopefully. It's taller but less diameter than the BAM. Plus using the 26650 is much easier to get ahold of vs a 26500. I will post pics when I get it!

How Long Does 10 Ml Last You?

I vape anywhere from 3-6 depending on the day. I usually go through a 30ml in about a week/week-n-half. That's just me. YMMV

  19. executor, that all depends on your vaping habit. I vape maybe 2 to 3 ML's a day and I think I'm a moderate vapor. Some people vape 5 or more!

I guess I need to pick up a 510-ego adapter...all of these new and shiny ego units make me wonder if I'm missing anything.

  22. the price you quoted is good price , if you have a good brick and mortor store in your area go there and buy there if he has what you want but get advice about store from his customers if he is a good store he will have plenty of people saying good things . you can buy it and be puffing on your way home and will have a good knowledge base to work from . most will let you "custom build" your kit but like any other bussiness there are good and bad stores pick a good one and you will be far hapier than an online retailer that sells to hundreds of people a day , and normally the price is very close if not better
