    E-Liquid Organizer

Thankfully, I'm good at thinking outside the box. After knocking over my eGo batteries just by looking too hard at them I got some toothbrush holders that hold them and work nicely. The next thing was to organize my ever growing collection of e-liquids. At first they kinda piled up on my desk. Then, I started putting them into little plastic boxes. Piled up on my desk. With the way it was I couldn't tell what flavors they were until I pulled them out and looked. That wasn't working so well for me. So, I started looking around and found these nifty nail polish racks and it came in this week. My SO put it up on the wall for me today and... These are nearly all of the bottles I have with the exception of maybe one or five. Yes, I'm either going to need another one or I need to get busy and vape some of these bottles empty. I'm thinking the latter option is preferable.

Everyone should have a large purple one, Uma.

  3. Nice review Ron!! I have the chrome one in the small size, and like, Tam, I wasn't happy with the button shelf thingie at first, but now I'm used to it. I hope to go back for a large purple one this month.

  4. I used to smoke and vape and I then I lost interest in smoking. I quit without having to try very hard but I tried hard in the past and couldn't do it, even with chantix. Vaping made me want to smoke much less until I got to the point when I said it is now time never to buy cigarettes again. That was 3 years ago. In your case, I don't see any harm in it. Using an eCig and hanging out with the smokers can be a pleasurable activity. Just don't over do it by chain vaping all the time and what ever you do, don't go back to smoking!

  5. Well, my first plunge into VV vaping was the eGo Twist, not saying anything bad about it, the Twist is a great device and I have backed eGo from the day I bought my first 510. I purchased the eGo 1000mah VV battery and I must say it was quite long! Put a big tank on it and it’s a bit oversized for me! Now on to the Vision Spinner, I bought the 1300mah VV and the Spinner is a bit different, for one thing it is a fatter battery so the length is shorter than a standard eGo 1000 batt but with more power! The size is about 112mm length by 17mm diameter. Charging time is roughly 4 hours and I vape it at 4.3 to 4.8 volts most of the time and it’s giving me around 12 hours vaping time. It also has the 5 click shut off and offers 3 kinds of protection. Short Circuit Protection: When short circuit happens, the battery will shut down and not function again until short circuit is removed. Safety Cutoff/Atomizer Protection: If you press the button for 8 seconds, the battery will be locked until the next press. Low Voltage Protection: When the battery voltage is lower than 3.3v, the battery will shut down. Voltage ranges from 3.3 to 4.8 and coupled with a Vision Vivi Nova it is one nice little vaping machine. This would be a great set up for any noobie or even a vet who would like a simple no fuss VV device.

    Upgrading From My V2.

The eGo T is a type or model of battery as far as I'm aware. When I first started vaping in May 2012 I bought an eGo T battery, it was a "passthrough" which allows you to plug it into a USB port to charge it and still be able to vape while it's plugged in and charging. Shortly after that eGo came out with the eGo C battery that was a bit better (or so they said), than the eGo T. There are regular eGo batteries and there are passthroughs. They use different kinds of chargers. I really do understand your frustration with all these choices and just wanting to get what you want so here is my recommendation to you. It's based solely on my opinion and experience with various vendors I've bought from and continue to do business with - complete with links. Well, darn. I'm going to send you to Brian at The Veteran Vaper but he doesn't carry the passthroughs. I've bought from him many times and continue to shop there. I'm sending you his way because he's trustworthy and honest, gives excellent customer service and also is great about communicating with his customers. He's also a long time member of this forum, which is how I found his store. You can read my review of The Veteran Vaper in the vendor review section of this forum to hear what others have experienced in the comments. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/joye-ego-kit-matte-black/ That's an eGo C starter kit (not a passthrough but with two batteries you can always charge one while using the other). It also comes with two atomizers so you can direct drip if you want. It looks like it also comes with five pre-filled cartomizers (those are like atomizers with a filler inside that holds a fair amount of e-juice). Many on this forum love them but you have to keep the filler/batting inside wet or you get a burned taste that's pretty bad. It comes with a charger and AC wall adapter and an eGo cone. You screw the atomizer into the battery, put the cone over the atomizer and...you need a drip tip. Looks like a drip tip isn't included in the kit. No matter. Those things cost next to nothing. More on that later. Okay, so, for $49.99 that's a great starter kit. Just a tip -- I've found that some atomizers come with some kind of liquid in it that needs to be blown out before use. Take one and blow gently but firmly into the large open end. Hold a tissue or napkin lightly over the tiny hole near the threaded end of the atomizer to catch the liquid as it comes out. Keep doing this until no more liquid comes out. Dab the end to dry. When direct dripping it's easy to flood the atomizer if you get happy with putting too many drops in at once. I do this all the time. Even now. *rolls eyes at self* When you get a gurgling sound unscrew the atomizer, blow into it like what I said above and also dab the tissue into the connection of the battery. You'll see liquid there, too. Screw atomizer back on and you should be good to go. Now, if you're direct dripping you really need a drip shield to keep things from getting messy as there will be liquid seeping out of the air holes in the atomizer. For that you need to go to Empire Mods. You can also get drip tips there. Not all drip shields cover the threads on your battery. There are two that do and they say directly in the name that it's for eGo batteries. The others (most but not all), will fit but they'll stop at the top of the threads on your battery. I prefer that those are covered but that's for purely aesthetic reasons. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/emegodrip.htm http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/egodc.htm I prefer the types in the second link because there are four air holes in them instead of the standard two but pink and purple are the only colors available at the moment. I don't know how you feel about those although Jeff seems to like pink and has no problem with it. Any of the drip tips that are for 510 will work for your set up. I prefer anything that isn't metal because I tend to chain vape when direct dripping and the metal can get...warm. Another thing I'd suggest is the universal drip tip. http://www.empiremods.com/product_p/chrryuni.htm You can use it by itself (inserted into your atomizer), or you can insert a separate drip tip into the universal. It's funny looking and will make your set up long but I love it because it keep you from sucking liquid into your mouth when vaping. This sometimes happens when you direct drip and is very unpleasant. Because of its extra length, it also cools the vapor, which I prefer. You might feel differently. Before direct dripping I would suggest you read the threads that are there about it to get tips. Or you could just ask questions here. I'm sure lots of people will chime in. They're wonderful about that here. Then, with this stuff, all you have to do is get the e-liquid from the vendor of your choice. Sorry this comment was so long but I hope it's helpful to you. Hang in there. It does get easier! ETA: You can also get the Vivi Nova tanks at The Veteran Vaper. That's where I go the Vivi Nova mini and it works great, no leaking!

  13. Welcome to the world of rba's we have a new sub forum under ecig technical. I've been using an AGA-S for about a week now and I love it. Works well as long as you build it well. Lol, I've got a dripping rba coming in hopefully tomorrow. I expect to love it just as much. I say go for it. For less than 30 you can get the unit plus supplies so it's not a heavy investment if you don't like it. While if you do like it you'll have enough supplies to easily last a couple months if not more. I hope to see you in the new sub!

    Upgrading From My V2.

If you want to do some flavor testing I'd suggest direct dripping with an atomizer. I believe you can use those with clove flavors without any damage. Then, once you find the one you like from a certain vendor you can fill up the tank of your choice. Tanks and clearomizers have come a long way in a short amount of time. You might get lucky and not have them crack from the liquid. I know that when I first started the T2 and CE4s would crack periodically because I liked the Mojito flavor which was high in citrus. Now? No problem whatsoever and I haven't had one crack lately. There really are a LOT of choices out there. Trying things and experimenting is half the fun with vaping. Good luck!

    Upgrading From My V2.

Thank you all for your suggestions. It has been a bit overwhelming to say the least and I've changed my mind so many times; I'm starting to piss myself off. I have some prefilled cartos and some empty ones for the V2 from myvaporstore (Smooth tobacco and RY4) and a 10ml bottle of juice (free from vapedudes) on the way to hold me over until I finally make up my mind about what gear to get. The problem I have is; I want them all... Two nights ago; I was set on getting the eGo-T kit and taste testing juices on it until I find what I like... But every suggestion you guys make, every thread I read over at ECF, every YT video I watch... They all make me want to get everything. I'm getting some sort of "pre-buyers remorse" where I put everything into the shopping cart and I can't make myself push through to the checkout... It's my OCD telling me: "YOU CAN DO BETTER". Case in point: I'm at ECF earlier today, just browsing around and trying to learn.... And I run into a thread about these "Caravela" stuff... That word immediately caught my eye (I was born and raised in South America and we learned about Columbus and his three caravelas in middle school history) and I went in to check it out... Let's just say I spent about two hours just looking at the pictures and drooling all over my keyboard. Now; I know that the chances of getting one of them things are slim to none at the moment, but man... Sexy is not even close. Now; I know I'm going to need some sort of a atty/tank system if I want to do flavor testing since doing that in cartos would just be too much of a waste... I know that the Vivi Nova tanks have been recommended a couple of times on this thread, but I also read on this thread (I think it was Uma) that certain flavors will damage plastic tanks (clove, citrus, cinammon, etc) and as far as I can tell; the Vivi Novas are plastic. I see some metal ones, but not sure if they are just a metal sleeve around the plastic tank or if they are full metal... That's the stuff that goes through my head right as I am about to do the checkout and stops me from going through with it.

  16. Well I shouldn't have but I just bought my first REALLY BIG battery mod! Yay!! Most are thinking of an 18650...nope. I got a bombshell stinger en route from Hotvapes! This thing takes a 26650 plus the kick! Score! I bought one of hotvape's 3500mah MNKE IMR batteries. I also bought two more additional 26650's. One a 4000mah IMR and the other a "high drain" 3600mah both from www.batteryspace.com we'll see how these two work out. The IMR should be just fine but we'll see about the other it's used in extreme high-drain application up to 18A so I'm not sure how it'll work on a 2-3A load which will be typical with the kick. We'll see for sure. I'm ultra excited for the new toys!

  17. Awesome, thank you for the links! I've currently got two 4"x6" #400 mesh sheets (minus the one wick I've made). I've also got 10' of 30ga and probably about 8.5' of 32ga kanthal a-1. I picked these both up where I bought the rba's from myvaporstore.com . I'm sure I over paid but hopefully not too bad. I will definitely keep these links for future orders. Thank you!

  18. Less than $100 compared to what? The provari? The poldiac? The provari is hardly touched in build quality and customer satisfaction. I don't even own one and I know that much. I own a vamo and while a decently functioning mod it sucks in both build quality and my satisfaction at this point. I'm on my second vamo due to the first one falling apart, the vendor replaced it which was good but on this second unit the "gun-metal" finish is wearing off in less than the first week of use. So that's a big fail. I understand the price is the biggest selling point and I'm not arguing that but it can't really compare to the provari just by price tag alone. If I had bought a provari as my first mod I'm 99% sure I would've not bought four different mods. That's just an assumption and I'm not attacking you I just don't see a real comparison between the two. This is just my $.02. As for the poldiac that's like one of the ferrari's of the vaping world. We all look and drool but only a select crowd ever really buy one. Talk to Uma for info on that one as she just ordered hers.

I got mine at AltSmoke at a decent price. In the early 20's ballpark. haha, Tams, I couldn't agree more. Come to think of it, I still have my first ever purple eGo from electronicstix. IT's about a year old, and has never been used. I can't bear to watch it get mucked up. I spent a year waiting and praying for purple to come out, and it finally did. It's in my treasure chest lol. I vape my purple Twist every day though. Purple is now a namestay. Thank God!

Dual coils produce more vapor for some individuals but at the same time drink more juice. Dual coils are also picky when it comes to variable voltage devices. Many devices will not allow you to push a dual coil to voltage it needs in order to perform to its potential. Many such as the original lavatube will scale back the voltage to whatever it thinks you need regardless what you set it at. At the same time there are many vapers that swear by dual coils. For me it's not worth the costs or problems associated with them. I stick to single coil boge or smok cartos.

    Aga-S

Update: Well now being about 4-5 days in I'm still pretty happy. The only other delivery system I've used is my trusted boge carto tanks. I'm on coil #4. This is measuring at 1.4ohm. No hot spots. Out of 4 coils I've had 3 working coils. #1 vaped shortly before developing the hot spot. #2 died pretty much as soon as it was wrapped. #3 only was removed so I could wash the wick....had it wrapped too tightly. #4 is working great, had a small hot leg by the negative screw but was able to wiggle it out. I'm about 6-8 tanks into this coil and it's working very well. So far being the first RBA I've used I'm happy. I will be picking up the AGA-T+ soon, probably in the next couple weeks but not sure. I would love to have this setup with about a 3ml tank instead of this 1ml. I'm still needing o-rings but between working and being busy haven't really even looked for them.

Your basic two tanks are clearomizer types such as what jeffb linked to and carto tanks such as this. Carto tanks are MY preference but definitely not everyone's. Low resistance or standard will not have much meaning if you get a VV mod such as a lavatube. In the day before everyone and their brother had VV LR would give a better vape to those with lower voltage devices. The vapor is warmer and just generally more appealing for most. The SR would give a cooler vape which some liked too. I say give both tanks a shot. You may like both or only one of them. With the carto tanks you will be required to purchase and punch cartos. You can buy them prepunched if you want, which I would suggest if you've never done it before. Hopefully this helps clear some of the confusion up. Happy vaping and welcome to VT!

I've got a couple of these on order as well, i got a black and red. Shortly after placing the order, however, i read on pbusardo's website that there are apparently issues with some of these working well and other not. He speculates its something similar to Bogegate where demand is greater than supply and the company has to outsource parts that make the product not work as good as it was originally designed. Vision Spinner 1300Mah Vv

By the way, the Vision Spinner set at it's max of 4.8v combined with a 3Ω Boge carto rocks! At just south of 8 watts, it's a good setup for new vapers to get started on without too much risk of popping coils. I think that what puts new vapers off more than anything is a first rig that produces very little vapor. Let 'em see what it can do right off the bat, and then show them that it can be adjusted down if it's just too much for them to handle, instead of starting weak and then saying, "Wait! It can do more!"

    Vision Spinner 1300Mah Vv

I bought one for my wife a few weeks ago and it's really turned out to be a great PV. IMO, it's the perfect size. The diameter, being slightly larger than standard eGos, gives it a more substantial feel, and it's not so long as to make it look like a drumstick when it has a clearomizer attached. The best part, though, is how long the thing lasts between charges. The 1300 mAh Spinner is definitely an all-day PV. We got hers at VapeLite for $21 + $3 shipping. They're out of the black and the chrome versions, but they do still have some white models available at the time of this post. Word has spread quickly about VapeLite.info recently, so they're selling out of a lot of the hot items quickly, but Paul emailed me today that he's got orders arriving soon.

  35. I started vaping on April 8, 2012, and since then, I've tried out variations on just about every new juicer that's come down the pike . IMO, if you want the same vape every time, nothing beats a good ol' freshly filled Boge carto for consistency and simplicity. It's sort of like the McDonald's cheeseburger of juicers...it may not be as fancy as the other stuff out there, but with the Boge carto (and the McDonald's cheeseburger), you know what you're gonna get every time...a good quality vape (err...cheeseburger).
