2013 I will be totally nic free, this is by choice and I feel what ever chemicals I can avoid at my age the better. If I have had cravings as I stepped down the nic I guess I didn't notice it so I'm guessing I didn't. I guess the next step might be DIY or maybe quit altogether but right now I'm enjoying it to much to stop2 points

Smoktek.com - Bad Customer Service

I actually got the V2, and still had issues with it. The magnetic spacers i got from avid vaper have made the issues disappear tho and the device has performed flawlessly. Still a bit unhappy with my interactions w/ Smoktek tho. I also have yet to hear back from Rob Davis, so I really can't see myself purchasing from them again. All I asked was that they acknowledge the issue and offer a fix for it that didn't involve spending another $40-50 on new batteries. Stock the spacer, add them as an option for a few bucks. I would've gladly paid more for them.1 point -
I find it much easier to go without vaping at work than when I used to smoke. I vape much less than I used to smoke at work but about the same or maybe a little more when I'm not so it's about even for me. At work I need to use both hands most of the time and with cigarettes, I could just have one hanging in my mouth at any time but it's hard to do that with an eGo and I don't feel the need to vape as much as I felt the need to light up.1 point

Time To Fess Up

I did mention on the forum that I went down to 16mg but alas I'm using 24mg Don't judge me. With all the work, stress etc 24mg is just the amount a need. Plus to little rascals running around1 point -
In the very beginning I'd agree with you. Now, I mostly vape 6 mg or less and only a few puffs here and there when I'm at work. Less than I used to go out for cigarette breaks, actually. I only chain vape in the early to late mid-evenings.1 point

Hello Morandir you may remember me from the other forums u speak of. I don't frequent either anymore. The community here is the best that I have found in the vamping community so I tend to just stick here. Glad u could join us1 point

Relax dude. Your question hasn't even been up 24 hours yet. I think going to another forum is probably best. Try http://www.vapersforum.com/forum.php they love people that get butthurt easily.1 point

Oh, and. "I don't stink of cigarettes" and "I don't burn holes in my clothes". And "I don't have to smoke in the ice and snow and rain" and "I'm not a pariah anymore" and "I can smell things better now" and .....1 point

Smoktek.com - Bad Customer Service

Most places are good about replacing a faulty device, but this scenario is kinda different in my eyes. They did actually at one point offer to replace my VAMO but that was completely missing the point. There's nothing wrong with the device itself, its just designed in a way that excludes many of the most popular battery brands. Instead of buying a bunch of new batteries when i (and most ppl) already own plenty, why not just stock spacers? I don't even want them for free, and i made that clear to them, i just want them to be available, and i want them to remove 'works fine with flat top batteries' from the product page cuz it def. doesnt. Or, if they're gonna be stubborn and not stock the spacers, have some info in there. "This device may not work with X, Y and Z types of batteries and you may need to purchase a spacer to make them work." The customer service rep kept ignoring these 2 issues and repeatedly stuck to "this is why you're using the wrong batteries, so we can't support the ones you're using". My interaction with the customer service rep may have left a bad taste in my mouth, but i'd get over it if they did those 2 seemingly simple things, and that was really all i was trying to tell them. I went ahead and emailed Rob Davis, we'll see if i get a reply.1 point -

Thanks for the help Rixter, I very well may do that. the first problem is that they list on the product page that it runs flat top efests just fine when it doesn't at all, the 2nd problem was that the CS rep kept coming off like the "no, you're wrong and here's why" tone instead of "let us do anything we can to help". The conversation ended with them saying they don't even carry spacers, so they can't send me what they don't have, but at the very least they should make it more clear on the product page what batteries it will work with and which ones have the problem. Then, since AW is such a popular brand, they should suggest a solution to the problem, heaven forbid they link to another vendors site. My main beef is give me everything i need to work the damn thing. Stock some spacers and up the price of the device $1 or 2 i don't care, just give me everything i need to make it work WITHOUT buying 4 new 18650 batteries everytime i decide to get a new device. Bleh, sorry that turned into a bit of a rant lol.1 point -
I don't know, Jeff. I liked the thought of the Vamo having the giggles, it made the thing seem less intimidating to me.1 point

Vamo On The Way
Uma reacted to danpio1217 for a topic
Gotcha, thanks. I'll contact Smoktek and see if they have any they could send me, if not they're cheap enough i'll pick some of those you pointed out Rixter. Any idea what size i'd need? My 18350 just finished charging so i'm using it in mini mode now and i'm not having that problem at all, so with a spacer i should be good to go. This really is a nice device without the giggle.1 point -
Vamo On The Way
Uma reacted to danpio1217 for a topic
So i got my vamo and it's looks great, i'm very happy with it, except for one thing. The spring. It has way too much give and every time i set the device down, i hear the battery giggle, and it breaks the connection turning the device off. Every time i pick it up i have to turn it back on. I tried stretching the spring a little, but that didn't fix it. It happened on both my batteries that are flat top and with a nipple. I also noticed the inside of my battery cap has a dark mark on it. Not sure if it came that way or if my battery is overheating. My stainless lavatube knockoff doesn't have any marks on the inside of the cap after months of use. My lavatube knockoff seems to have a much stronger spring with less give. Wonder if i could swap em. Anyone else have this problem with this device? I got it from Smoktek and it said it was the v2, which is supposed to have a longer spring.1 point
