Yes, i know that this device has gotten 1,000 reviews already. I know that it has been covered to death. But i wanted to put my own .02 in. I just got mine in the mail today, (thanks jdog!). All that i can say is that i'm in LOVE. This is what vaping is all about. I get it now, i get vv vaping. I heard today that some people don't like the "menu" or how the button system is set up. Does it take some clicks to adjust voltage or read atty/carto resistance? Yes. Is it a big deal? No. Not at all. This thing is super easy to work, and very user friendly. The build quality is awesome. Just holding it and you know your'e holding a very well built device. It just feels......solid. And the vape is the same way. The display is super simple to read, the amount of things this thing can do is honestly pretty incredible. Knowing exactly what resistance your delivery system is is pretty sweet. I dunno, i'm just honestly in LOVE. Right now i'm rocking a 2.8ohm 510 atty at about 5.2v and the vape is just amazing. CLOUDS of vapor. It's going to be very difficult to put this thing down. So, if your'e looking at a vv device, and you want the best, save your money. Buy a quality unit. Buy a Provari. Could not be happier right now.2 points

Sometime the vets on the forums tend to use terms and slag for some of the most common items, methods and hardware for vaping. This is not the ultimate guide but should make some of the terms a little clearer. (I hope)... Basic Jargon Vapor - Vapor is the substance exhaled when using an electronic cigarette which may look similar to cigarette smoke. Vaping - The act of using an Electronic Cigarette (as opposed to "smoking", as the device creates a vapor rather than smoke). Vape - Used often in place of the word smoke. I vape, I'm vaping. Batt - Battery. Atty - Electronic component that turns the eJuice into vapor. Cartridge or Cart - The part of a three piece electronic cigarette which contains the liquid. These come blank (with no liquid), or prefilled. Cartomizer or Carto - The part of a two piece electronic cigarette which contains the liquid. These come blank (with no liquid), or prefilled. Analog - Traditional tobacco cigarette. DIY - Do It Yourself. Dripping - To place a few drops of liquid directly onto the atomizer instead of using a cartridge. Drip Tip or DT - A special attachment used to make it easier to drip eliquid directly onto the atomizer. Mod - Modified (custom built) e-cigarette. TH - Throat Hit a strong feeling in the back of the throat when vaping. Primer Puff - A short, quick mouth inhale on the electronic cigarette similar to the action when smoking a pipe or cigar. This heats up the atomizer before a full draw. PV or Personal Vaporiser - An electronic cigarette. Some prefer to use this term as the word 'cigarette' has a lot of negative connotations associated with it that do not apply to PVs. PCC - Personal Charging Case / Portable Charger Case. Passthrough or PT - A USB adapter for the Electronic Cigarette which screws onto the atomizer like a battery, but draws power from a USB port. E-Liquid / E-Juice E-Liquid / E-Juice - A Flavored or unflavored liquid for use in an electronic cigarette, usually (but not always) containing nicotine. VG - Vegetable Glycerin PG - Propylene Glycol PEG - Propylethylene Glycol PGA - Pure Grain Alcohol NPG - Not containing Propylene Glycol. Sometimes used as a synonym to Vegetable Glycerin. Nic - Nicotine Cartridge Related Filler - The clump of fibers that hold the liquid in the cartridge. Stuffing - Another term for filler. BFM - Blue Foam Mod. (cart filler material) Dripping - To place a few drops of liquid directly onto the atomizer instead of using a cartridge. Dry Smoking - Same thing as dripping, referring to the fact that the cartridge us usually not filled, therefore dry. Tailpiping - Vaping directly from the atomizer without using a mouthpiece/cartridge. Drip Tip or DT A special attachment used to make it easier to drip eliquid directly onto the atomizer. Topping Up/Off - To add a few drops of liquid to a partially used cartridge to prolong its use. Measurements LR - Low Resistance HV - High Voltage (typically a 5 or 6 volt ecigarette) IMR - A battery with lower internal resistance and a high discharge rate, good for high drain applications like ecigarettes. in - inch (also abbreviated ") (1 inch = 25.4 mm) mm - millimeter (1 mm = 0.039 inch) cm - centimeter (1 cm = 0.394 inch) oz - ounce (1 fluid oz = 29.5 ml) ml - milliliter (1 ml = 0.034 fluid ounce) cc - cubic centimeter (1 cc = 1 ml) mg - milligram (often used as measure of nicotine per ml of eliquid) mA - milliamp (often used as a measure of available power) mAh - milliamp hour (often used as a measure of battery capacity/duration Forum Phrases PM - Private Message Troll - Somebody who makes a statement with the intention of annoying or angering other posters. This person usually ends up banned.1 point

Just visited a thread concerning a member who's discovered vaping but has a cold. It got me wondering if people notice a decrease in viral infections since they've begun vaping. Prior to becoming a vaper, it was "normal" for me to experience at least one cold a year. I just expected it. I'd get sick around the same time each year. After I started vaping I've experienced one cold in three years. I don't know with any certainty that I can contribute my improved health to vaping, yet it's hard to believe this is merely a coincidence...especially since there have been no other significant lifestyle changes that may have so drastically improved my health. There have been other more obvious health improvements, but "no more colds", for me, is quite significant. Update: Please forgive my obsessiveness, but I'm very much a stickler for articulating exactly what you intend to communicate. To do so usually requires observing things accurately too. But after posting my query it occurred to me that the reason I experience fewer viral infections may have less to do with vaping and more a consequence of no longer smoking cigarettes.1 point

Got home from work tonight and found that my new Ego C Twist arrived. I should've bought this some time ago. OMG. Someone said that the numbers were very small and hard to read in another thread. Boy, were they ever right! My eye sight isn't the best anymore anyway so without bright light and some squinting I couldn't make out which way was lower or higher. Finally got it set and gave it a try... This 1000 mAh is nearly 1 1/2 inches bigger than my 650s but it's not bad. I think I just need to get used to the extra length. lol. So far I've got it set at the lowest setting (3.2?) and loving the cool vape. The flavor of the e-liquid comes through stronger than I've ever tasted before (using a Stardust V2 right now). Eventually, I'll probably play with the settings but I think I've found my "sweet spot" already. And talk about great customer service! Brian also included two bottles of e-juice in my order. Thanks, Brian, for not only a great product but also a great shopping experience. You've got a new return customer.1 point

Welcome to the ProVari club. Yeah these mods are great. I can't say that they are the best because it's the only mod I ever used(not counting my homemade contraptions) and even though I can't say it, I like to believe that it is the best. I used to be a firm believer that there was no need for variable voltage but the ProVari has opened doors for me that I hadn't even thought of and even though it isn't a necessity it sure is convenient.1 point

Welcome the wonderful (overwhelming) world of vaping. Sounds like you are on the right track. Lots of trial and error. The eGo line is a great place to start. A couple drip tips are a must if you want to try your hand a dripping. back up batteries, atomizers-cartomizers-tanks-clearomizers, charger and liquids are always a good thing. you may want to look at starting with 24 mg liquids, but will want some 18 mg too. you will have to play with the nicotine levels to find the one that works best for you. Most of us Vape way more than we smoked....because we can !1 point

Good post JDog! I haven't put mine down either, except long enough to clean it whenever the flavor dulls. (empty the tank with syringe, gently twist up and out the wick, dry burn the coils with pulsating action, reTorch the wick, reSeason the wick, rePlace the wick). As long as we also stock up on all the replaceable parts (mesh, wire, center post and nuts, insulator thingies, o-rings,) then we'll be vaping in peace while the rest of the world does in war dance. Priceless.1 point

I would also like to go ahead and add my 2c :P doing pre-purchase research is imperative to the best experience with these imho. watch as many videos as you can and don't be afraid to ask for help. it took me 3 days to get my mini DiD to work for me but i haven't put it down since! the learning curve is steep but there is a lot of great help out there (thanks Uma!!) and once you get it, you got it! definitely be patient, it will pay off. plus, then, you'll have an indestructible atty!1 point

i'm so glad you're happy! and that you're getting full use of all its great features! i totally agree about the button clicking...if you have a VV eGo you click just as much imo...and for less.1 point

well, it takes a very large learning curve. that being said those that haven't gotten so frustrated that they throw them away have given them pretty incredible reviews. it's something i'm hoping to try soon. not the DID specifically, but a rebuildable atty.1 point

Question About Steeping
kitsune reacted to NorthernGirl for a topic
Well, either way, my juice from sweet vapes came in today and let me just say... damn! So far I've tried the Orange Cream... yummy and kind of refreshing actually. Right now though I'm vaping the Starbuckets Mocha like it's my job. Soooo good! I'll probably be all tweaked out later from a massive nicotine rush, but I just can't seem to help myself lol.1 point -
