  1. I have recently been diagnosed with ANOTHER mental illness...talk about LUCKY! It's called VAD, the doctor said it is quite serious...and will be extremely expensive to treat, because my insurance won't cover it. I already called them and hammered the customer service girl, but she wouldn't budge. I guess it stands for Vaping Acquisition Disorder... So here was his prescription for me, and it looks rather bleak as it will take quite a while for me to fill it: 1 (one) REO Grand (preferably all black) 1 (one) Bolt PV (black) 1 (one) Pro Vari (with Blue display option) 1 (one) Riva SE starter kit 1 (one) 510/EGO 3.5 ml DCT (clear) 1 (one) 30 ml bottle of Bobas Bounty juice Without all of the above items, he says I will surely die unhappy. He didn't say that it actually affected my life expectancy, but he did say my quality of life would suffer. Possibly to an extent that would certainly cause me to be institutionalized. Feel free to post any of your guys diagnoses...and the accompanying prescriptions you recieved. It would be nice to know I am not alone on this.

  4. You poor soul !!! It really does sound quite serious. Without my current vaping disorder the credit card companies would go bankrupt. Was recently forced to purchase (for health reasons of course): 510 LR attys 306LR attys Total of 80mls of Various Vaportalk liquids(apple dapple, midnight, macchiato and sweet dawn) -- They all work very well to keep the voices under control. 1 Inferno (ego type) batteries (passthrough capability) DIY flavors (caramel, butterscotch and coffee espresso) clearomizers (just needed to try) ego elegance clearomizers I'm pretty sure my budget is blown.....but my illness is under control for this month....Unfortunately, the new month is coming along very soon and the voices will return.

  10. I personally always add a sweetner to my liquids, but of course many don't like them that way. If you do any DIY you can control your flavors much more accurately, and save money in the long run. If you find something you can vape all day, run with it. The "food grade" isn't a big issue, just buy from reputable vendors/someone you trust. Some of the internationally shipped liquids have been known to be of subpar quality...with other things possibly mixed into the liquid. Always be sure that what you are vaping is safe, we want this to be HEALTHIER than smoking...not worse.

  16. ya, you'll find VG flavors/liquids will always be a bit sweet. But then again, so are a lot of the PG flavors. Liquids are a lot of trial and error until finding the liquids that really work for you.

  17. My experience with food grade is good. Its a bit sweet and the consistency of VG liquid. The second option is pharmaceutical grade....sold usually as 'skin protectant'. Most pharmacies carry it. once such brand is 'Humco', I know, the whole skin protectant thing is a bit weird for vaping, but it really is just VG. I personally have used both and both work great. If it doesn't specify it is probably PG.

    Pay It Forward Thread

*sigh* if only more came in pink - but then we'd be even poorer cause I'd get it all even if we had to skip things like, i dunno, gas? ROFL!

  21. lol - we caught the mailman (who didn't show up till 5:45 pm!!!) just as he was delivering it so I had to open it of course! I figured out the power thing pretty fast I used a syringe because it's easy enough (I used to have to give my other half a shot every week so we have lots left over). I started by vaping the liquid in the smaller bottle that wasn't cupcake but I couldn't remember what it was - oopsy! I fired it up and OMG - heaven! Then I filled a carto with my malty toffee - which I don't think I could have gotten in without the syringe cause it's so thick. This thing vapes like a champ and it's SO much easier to hold! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

    Got Ink?

The other half just realized that his tat is going to have to wait another month because i'm getting more e-cig stuff (pretty much juice) and he's more than happy to wait because he doesn't want to see me pick up a ciggie again! We officially quit the same day, although he used a little of the mistic stuff which we started with, but then said he'd rather chew gum, lol! So he's a lil bit pouty, but i'm going to go to the tattooist (without him knowing it) and see if we can come up with the art for the tat so i can surprise him with it

    Brand New Ego -C

My experience with the eGo C still has no leaking issues even with the hard plastic tank caps and after many refills. I am using a silicone one now and am having some issues. When the tank is full I've been getting dry hits. Another thing is that the cap is much more difficult to put on. I know it's suggested not to fill the tank to the top but I always did with the hard cap and had no problems. I'm going back to the hard cap because it works fine for me and it's easier. Also I haven't had issues when the juice is low either. There were a couple of times that it leaked for whatever reason but for the most part it works for me like it's designed to from begining to end. There are enough parts in this e-cig to make diagnosing a problem difficult. That's why I wouldn't recomend it to anyone but at the same time I like it very much for myself. Mabey it's not the tank cap that's causing leaking problems for some vapers, mabey it's the way the heating coil sits in the base or something. I don't know because I haven't had these problems.

  24. In the vapor rooms defense, If the nic was too high, you would be able to tell with more harsh throat hitt, and in addition to head aches, if you vaped to much of the high nic, you would get chest pains too. I know my wife gets head aches with any PG. She must use 100% VG dilluted with distilled water.

  25. Ya know... I used to vape 100% PG for the longest time with no ill effects... recently I have started doing a mix of either 60/40 or 50/50 because I've been dripping more. And you know what is crazy? I have honestly been getting headaches more as well... I truly think that it's the VG! They aren't terrible headaches... just enough of one to be bothersome/annoying though. I don't know... I think some more investigating is in order to get to the bottom of it.

  27. Hi! As a vaper, I have found that the market is very 'loose', with no kind of regulation at all, and I decided to start researching about what I vape. First thing, of course, is the easy one: nicotine concentration tests on e-liquids. I decided, though, to purchase the ingredients locally, for many reasons - paranoid customs officials in my area being not the least of them. I have a few questions for you: 1. I found Bromothymol blue in the powder form. I was told that the solution should be made with 0.05% Bromothymol powder and the rest distilled water. Is this ok? If I make it much denser, will there be a problem? (I don't have equipment to accurately measure weight. I use a cheap digital scale with 0.1gr precision, but I know its readouts are not precise). 2. I think that using an even less denser sulphuric acid solution, like let's say 0.06%, can lead to even more accurate results, since the inaccuracy associated with the 0.1ml marking will be cut in half. Is there a reason for not using that much thinned solution? 3. I purchased Sulphuric Acid at 96% concentration (nothing less at the local market, sorry). I will make a much less dense solution for making the tests, about 1 gram in 830 gram of distilled water to be close to the 0.12% you are using. The problem is, of course, derermining the actual concentration of the solution. If I know it, I'll be able to decide the number needed for multiplication , to determine the actual nicotine content. Can you tell me a way to determine the concentration of that Sulphuric Acid solution? Is there an alkaloid product on the stores, with standarized pH, to make a test using the Bromothymol blue so as to find that concentration? Alternatively: I'm thinking of thinning it in 3 steps, using e.g. 10 percent of the solution in each step with 90% distilled water. So it should be: Step 1: 90gr water, 10gr Sulphuric Acid 96% -> 9.6% solution Step 2: 90gr water, 10gr Sulphuric Acid 9.6% -> 0.96% solution Step 3: 90gr water, 10gr Sulphuric Acid 0.96% -> 0.096% solution (which is a number close to the 0.12% you are proposing, and so little changes have to be made to the calculations. If I use 10.76% and 98.24% I will end exactly at 0.12%). I believe that using my cheap digital scale, I can achieve 0.2gr in 100gr precision. So, with 2% inaccuracy in each step, the total inaccuracy will be a bit less than 6% (and the final solution will be somewhere between 0.090% and 0.102%). In a 24mg liquid, the results should be between 22.59mg and 25.47mg - and on a 6mg one, between 5.65mg and 6.37mg. That's enough precision for me. The question here, is: Is this correct? Did I forget something fundamental - or trivial - that I should take into account? Is there a practical consideration I don't know, or a mistake in my assumptions or calculations? Perhaps Sulphuric Acid's molar mass or density should be used somewhere? And, finally: why not put the Bromothymol blue in the sulphuric acid solution, so that only one bottle will be needed for the test? I hope that all these are clear and understandable, since english is not my native language and I'm not a chemist. I also hope that you don't hold hard feelings for not purchasing the supplies from you Finally, I hope that this post will be noticed and replied soon... Best regards from (tottering at knife's edge) Greece!
